Thinking about Astarion having to deal with his reclaimed mortality once the initial euphoria of it is wearing off:
When he’s startled from sleep, woken by his own racing heartbeat.
Him jumping at the movement in the corner of his eye, only to find it’s just his own reflection staring right back at him, puzzled, before he watches his cheeks redden with embarrassment.
The sun slowly losing its appeal as time goes on because Astarion keeps getting nasty sunburns after days spent outside, trying to make up for centuries confined to darkness. Whenever he comes home with itching skin and drenched in sweat, he finds himself almost missing hiding in the shadows.
The odd sensation of feeling more and less at the same time: while some of his senses are now dulled to better suit mortality, others feel heightened to the point of sensory overload—a gust of wind feels like fire licking at his skin and he gets so very anxious whenever he loses Tav in the crowd, unable to distinguish them by the once divine scent of their blood any longer.
Since he has a reliant supply of his own blood pumping through his veins now, he’s feeling aroused so much easier and more often than not at quite inconvenient times. He enjoyed having sex with Tav before, but now that he’s mortal again, he finds that he’s having to overthink intimacy once again—where his desires used to be driven by burning hunger, lust now feels like a pleasant, more natural bodily reaction. Having to seriously consider contraceptive measures, should his partner be able to get pregnant, is also a rather novel experience for him.
Bathing still feels as good as before, at least. But where he spent hours in the bathroom out of pointless vanity then, Astarion now has to wash himself because his body would stink of sweat and, well, life otherwise. It will be years before he openly excuses himself for having to use the bathroom whenever nature calls.
And food—food would be the hardest to adjust to. It takes a lot of trial and error to find something that pleases his virgin taste buds (although he swears there’re some odd pieces of memories flashing in front of his eyes whenever he's snacking on wild strawberries or awfully sweet citron tarts). He ends up acquiring a taste for raw cookie dough, shredded cheese and sardines, eating little else for the next two years or so. To everyone's astonishment, he's gotten food poisoning only once or twice.
Astarion is no stranger to pain or injury, but he’s appalled by how long it takes to recover from the most minor cuts and bruises. It’s a well-kept secret between him and Tav that his first common cold had him convinced he was dying for a fortnight straight.
Crying is much easier now, too.
Ironically, it’s mortality that forces Astarion to strive for more permanent, detail-oriented plans for the future. Now that life is finite, he wants to use the time he has wisely. He might keep travelling the realms until he breathes his last, or settle down, eventually. He might learn a new profession or accumulate some wealth in less honest ways. Maybe, one day, he wants to have a family, heirs to whatever he decides to make his own.
Once Astarion has come to terms with being a mortal elf again, he realises living is not just about a beating heart. Living is about having endless possibilities but limited time. Choices and decisions that lead to only one thing: death.
Now that Astarion is living again, he finally understands that death is just another part of the journey.

Astrology / Second House / 2H
The Second House in astrology is often referred to as the House of Possessions, but its influence extends far beyond mere material wealth. It governs not only the tangible assets one accumulates but also the values, self-worth, and resources that shape a person’s life. Understanding the Second House provides valuable insights into how individuals perceive and manage their resources, both material and emotional. This essay will explore the significance of the Second House, its impact on financial matters, self-esteem, and personal values, as well as its role in the broader context of the natal chart.
The Second House: An Overview
The Second House is traditionally associated with the sign of Taurus and the planet Venus, both of which emphasize the themes of material comfort, stability, and sensuality. This house governs all forms of personal resources, including money, possessions, and talents. It reflects what a person values most, not just in terms of material goods, but also in terms of their intrinsic values and how they measure self-worth.
In a natal chart, the sign on the cusp of the Second House and any planets located within it provide detailed information about how an individual approaches matters of wealth, security, and value. For instance, if the Second House is in Aries, the person might have a dynamic and assertive approach to earning money, often taking risks to achieve financial success. In contrast, if the Second House is in Cancer, the person might prioritize financial security and be more conservative in their financial dealings, possibly seeking comfort in familiar and emotionally fulfilling investments.
Financial Matters and Material Wealth
The Second House is most commonly associated with money and possessions. It reveals how a person earns, spends, saves, and values material goods. The sign on the cusp of the Second House, along with any planets present, indicates the individual's attitude toward financial security and how they attract resources. For example, someone with Leo on the Second House cusp may seek wealth as a means of self-expression and pride, enjoying luxury and status symbols. They might be generous in their spending, often splurging on items that enhance their image and social standing.
Planets in the Second House also play a crucial role in determining financial behavior. Jupiter, the planet of expansion and abundance, in the Second House might suggest a person who experiences financial growth and prosperity, often attracting wealth with ease. On the other hand, Saturn, the planet of discipline and restriction, in the Second House could indicate financial challenges, such as limited resources or a need for strict budgeting and financial planning. This placement may teach the individual valuable lessons about responsibility and long-term planning in relation to their material resources.
Self-Worth and Personal Values
Beyond material wealth, the Second House is deeply connected to self-worth and personal values. It reflects how individuals measure their own value and how they derive a sense of security from their possessions and talents. A well-aspected Second House might suggest a healthy sense of self-worth, where the individual feels confident in their abilities and is comfortable with their financial situation. Conversely, challenging aspects might indicate struggles with self-esteem, possibly leading to issues with financial insecurity or an overemphasis on material possessions as a source of validation.
The Second House also reveals what a person truly values in life. This goes beyond material possessions to include moral and ethical values, as well as what one considers worth investing time, energy, and resources into. For example, a person with Libra on the Second House cusp might place a high value on beauty, harmony, and relationships, often investing in art, aesthetics, or social causes that align with their sense of balance and fairness. Meanwhile, someone with Virgo on the Second House cusp might value practicality, efficiency, and health, possibly investing in quality tools, organic food, or wellness-related products.
Resources and Talents
The Second House also governs personal resources and talents—what one has at their disposal to create value in their life. This includes not only physical assets but also skills, abilities, and innate talents that can be cultivated and used to generate income or enhance one’s sense of self-worth. The sign and planets in the Second House can provide insights into these resources and how they are likely to be developed or utilized.
For instance, a person with Gemini on the Second House cusp might have a talent for communication, writing, or teaching, and may find financial success through these avenues. If Venus, the planet of beauty and creativity, is in the Second House, the individual might have artistic talents that can be monetized or simply provide a deep sense of personal satisfaction. The Second House encourages the development of these talents and emphasizes the importance of using one’s resources wisely to achieve both material and emotional fulfillment.
The Second House in Relation to the Rest of the Chart
The Second House does not exist in isolation but interacts with the rest of the natal chart to provide a comprehensive picture of an individual’s relationship with wealth, values, and self-worth. The aspects between the Second House and other houses or planets can highlight areas of harmony or tension in how one manages resources.
For example, a harmonious aspect between the Second House and the Tenth House, which governs career and public reputation, might indicate that the individual’s financial success is closely tied to their professional achievements. Conversely, a challenging aspect between the Second House and the Eighth House, which deals with shared resources and debts, could suggest difficulties in managing joint finances or navigating issues of inheritance or taxes.
Conclusion
The Second House in astrology is a multifaceted area of the natal chart that encompasses much more than just money and possessions. It is the house of value—what we value in the world, how we value ourselves, and how we use our resources to create stability and security in our lives. By examining the sign on the cusp of the Second House and any planets within it, astrologers can gain insights into an individual’s financial habits, self-esteem, and personal values.
Understanding the Second House allows individuals to better appreciate their approach to material wealth and the deeper significance of their values and resources. Whether it involves the pursuit of financial security, the development of personal talents, or the cultivation of a healthy sense of self-worth, the Second House provides essential guidance on how to navigate the material world and find fulfillment in the process.

Dincember Day 1: Snow
Din Djarin x GN!Reader
Word Count: 4825 Rating: General Content warnings: None! Summary: After a busy few months working for the New Republic, Din surprises you and Grogu with a well-earned retreat to a snowy paradise in the run up to Life Day. Snow-filled chaotic fluff and fun ensues! Author's note: This one sort of spiralled out of control in terms of word count and I did research into SW lore which I doubt I'll do every day, but I enjoyed it! I love browsing Wookieepedia like a big ol' nerd. The city visited is from a video game and the entry can be found here if anyone is interested in that kind of thing. Anyway, hope you enjoyed day one and thanks for reading :D

When Din told you to pack warm clothes for a mystery destination, you were curious about what exactly laid in store on the upcoming trip he had been carefully planning for the two of you to take with Grogu. It had been a busy few months for Din, his frequent assignments with the New Republic, where he was tasked with eliminating Imperial remnants, had kept him away from you for considerable periods. Recently, whispers of Thrawn’s return had swirled and eventually reached fever pitch. The rumours terrified you, but you knew that with someone like Din working to keep the peace, the fate of the galaxy could not be in safer hands. Nor could your future, as it happened. With Din by your side, you felt a sense of security that was incredibly comforting. You knew regardless of what he had planned for you, a surprise trip like this after such a stressful period was an incredibly thoughtful gesture from a thoroughly kind man.
Life Day was rapidly approaching and Din had promised to whisk you away for a trip somewhere in the galaxy. Where exactly, you did not know. But if you had to hazard a guess, you would not be heading to the deserts of Tatooine, given his instructions to pack for chilly climes. You eagerly bounced around the small cabin the two of you shared on Nevarro, packing your warmest clothes. The warm climate of the lava-covered planet you now called home meant that you had to search the deepest depths of your drawers, but eventually you found hats, scarves and warm woolly mittens that would be perfect for cold weather.
Your entire body was buzzing with excitement as you packed your bag, eagerly anticipating the quality time you would get to spend with Din and Grogu. Din had made it clear when the two of you had met, that the very nature of his line of work would be unpredictable and keep him away from you for long periods at short notice. You knew he hated the fact that his work kept him away from you so frequently just as much as you did, so, you reasoned, there was no point in making him feel guilty. With this trip, you knew that he was more than going to make up for it. You felt slightly guilty about how much you were sure he would spoil you with some of the credits he had earned. But Din Djarin was not remotely materialistic man; the safety and happiness of his loved ones mattered far more to him than any wealth he could accumulate.
So, as you headed out of your cabin the following morning and departed in the ship Din had borrowed from Greef Karga to accomodate you too - his N-1 was too small - you were practically bursting from excitement. But that excitement soon faded once the realities of travelling through the monotiny that was a seemingly never-ending hyperspace dawned upon you. Once the thrill of seeing the rushing blue and white hues outside the window had worn off, you found yourself thoroughly bored. Grogu was sound asleep in the corner of the cockpit, so for entertainment, you decided to interrogate Din in an attempt to ascertain hints as to your destination.
"So… it's cold…?" You mused. Din sat in the seat next to you, his armour illuminated by the multicoloured buttons of the various control panels, "Outer-Rim?" You questioned, watching for any signs that your words were having an impact.
But he did not move an inch, his arms remained folded, his breathing even. This man was impossible to read. But you were not going to give up.
"Fine… Mid-Rim?" You asked.
"I told you. It's a surprise," Din huffed.
You chuckled at how annoyed he sounded. It wasn't as though narrowing down the vast regions to several thousand planets rather than several hundred thousand would make much of a difference. But Din was stubborn. And you loved him for it. You had intended to continue pestering him, but you listened in astonishment when, a few minutes later, you heard the even breaths that indicated your favourite Mandalorian had fallen asleep. You weren't far behind him. It passed the time, after all.
After a long day of travelling you finally arrived at your destination, a place Din informed you once he had landed that was, in fact, the capital of Corellia: the bustling Coronet City.
You had been slightly confused about Din’s instructions to pack for the cold when you exited the ship in Coronet City. You did not see snow or any indication of frigid temperatures. But you couldn't dawdle to muse on it because you had to keep up with Din in the crowd.
As the two of you made your way through the spaceport, you put your hand out as if to offer a hand to Din to help with the heavy bags he was carrying, containing the warm clothes you had packed for the trip. But rather than hand one of the bags to you, your stubborn Mandalorian grunted and shifted the weathered satchel to his other hand. You were momentarily confused; you opened your mouth, intending to offer him a hand. But then you felt the explanation. Your heart melted when you felt the pillowy leather of his well-worn gloves as he held your hand in his. The warm presence of his large hand caused a shiver to spread down your spine.
You looked down at the little green child who nestled happily in your arms; Grogu was taking in all the new sights and sounds with his wide brown eyes and long green ears. So, you decided to take a look around for yourself. You noticed how underdressed everyone appeared to be, compared to what you had been expecting. The planet did not seem to be nearly so chilly as to make the warm clothes you had packed necessary. As if he could sense your confusion, Din finally informed you of his plans.
“If you hadn't already gathered, Coronet City isn’t actually our final stop,” Din explained as the two of you walked through the busy terminus, weaving between locals and tourists alike who had travelled to Corellia for the holiday season. The planet seemed to be at capacity. You were glad you were holding hands with Din, so the two of you did not get separated. “We’re heading up to the mountains. I thought it would be nice for Grogu to experience some snow. Since Nevarro has such a warm climate, it seemed like the perfect place.”
“Oh, Din… that sounds perfect.” You smiled up at him, “Grogu will love it, won’t you, buddy?” You took Grogu’s purr as you leaned down to address him directly as an indication that the child agreed. Din squeezed your hand tightly, appreciative that you were seemingly so excited by his plans.
You had no idea where you were heading, following Din’s lead as you placed your trust in him entirely, just as you always did. Excitement was not the only emotion you felt, though. There was the smug part of you, too, enjoying the assured feeling you had that, no matter how many heads this Mandalorian in his gleaming, unpainted beskar’gam was turning in this spaceport… that he was all yours. And yours alone.
Eventually, you seemingly reached the platform from which you would board the shuttle as Din led you off the main hall of the spaceport, ascending steps to the landing platform. At the top of the stairs was a screen which gave you the name of your final destination: Doaba Guerfel. The name meant nothing to you, but you had no time to dwell on it as Din dropped your hand and struggled with the heavy bags through the shuttle's door.
“I would have helped you, you know,” You informed Din with a smirk. He finally took a seat after placing the luggage on a shelf above the seats. “Rather than you struggling along with those heavy bags because we were holding hands.”
“I know.” Din nodded, “But I’ll never not want to hold your hand.”
Your heart melted for the second time in quick succession. How could this man, known throughout the galaxy for the ruthlessness with which he had once apprehended bounties and now applied those same talents in his work for the New Republic, actually be this soft and caring underneath that hard, Beskar shell? You didn’t think there was anyone else in the galaxy quite like Din Djarin. You were certain of that, in fact.
You passed Grogu to Din and felt yourself smile at his happy coo. The child sat contentedly on his father's lap, peering out of the window as the shuttle departed and flew over the buildings of Coronet City and towards the mountains that loomed on the horizon. You were still some distance away, but you could see that they were covered in snow. You felt your stomach dancing with excitement; it looked like a secluded paradise. Which, as it transpired, was exactly what this town – nestled amongst mountains – was. Din was always so curious about the galaxy around him, respectful and eager to learn about other planets and their language and culture. So of course, it made sense that he had done research when selecting this destination.
“Our destination, as you probably gathered, is a quaint mountainous town called Doaba Guerfel… The mountains you can see are called the Nomad Mountains and the town itself used to be known as Nomad’s Retreat. It’s incredibly secluded, so I thought it would be a perfect retreat for our little family,” Din explained, gesturing out of the window to the mountains the shuttle was hurtling towards. “The town invests heavily in restoration and protection of the wilderness around here. Apparently, the flora and fauna found here in such an abundance that is rare anywhere else throughout the galaxy. I doubt we'll be able to see much given the time of year. But I thought it was nice that the residents here care about their surroundings.”
“It looks beautiful from here already. I can’t wait to explore it with you.” You said, smiling at Din and admiring the way the whiteness of the sky outside made his helmet so dazzlingly shiny.
“We’re renting a small cabin on the outskirts of the town.” Din said, as he turned to face you, adding honestly: “The locals here really tried to keep it as a safe haven from the rest of the galaxy, where others can come to rest and escape. I hope it’ll be the quiet, peaceful retreat that we both need.”
“I’m sure it will be, Din.” You nodded, “It sounds like you’ve put a great deal of thought into planning this for us. Thank you.”
“Anything for you, mesh’la. Apparently, it is the finest resort in all of Corellia,” Din said, reaching out to take your hand in his once again. He squeezed it, as he told you solemnly: “And you deserve only the finest things in the galaxy for putting up with me, with the stress and demands of being with someone like me.”
You were about to open your mouth to protest, that being with Din was not settling in any way. But you were prevented from doing so as the unmistakable robotic drone of a droid suddenly sounded through the cabin, informing passengers that you were approaching Doaba Guerfel. You looked over at Din, noticing the subtle way his fist had clenched around Grogu. Din’s disdain for droids was something that you had not understood when you had first met him, but now you were aware of his past… you had nothing but the deepest sympathy for him.
As you stepped off the shuttle and onto the frozen ground, your lips couldn’t help but curve into a slight smile. The crunch of the snow underneath your feet would never fail to bring back a childlike sense of wonderment inside you that seemed to have dwindled over the years. But that appreciation for the smallest things that you had thought lost as you grew older, was now being awakened once more, after having the privilege to see so much of the galaxy through Grogu’s eyes. It was like seeing everything for the first time, as you monitored the little boy’s wide brown eyes and expressions to check that he was enjoying himself. Fortunately, it seemed as though he was. Grogu seemed absolutely content as the three of you made your way down the main street of Doaba Guerfel.
The buildings were covered in lights and, combined with the dusting of snow that seemed present on every surface, it was the perfect winter scene. When Din informed you that you had arrived on Corellia, you had found yourself slightly disappointed. It was a name you were familiar with, most people had heard of the vast shipyards and subsequent fighter pilots that this planet located in the Core Worlds had produced over the years. You associated it with machinery, industrialisation… not natural beauty. But aside from those assumptions, you knew scant details of the planet.
Even if you had, nothing could have prepared you for the beauty of the picturesque mountain town that Din had chosen to bring you to.
You continued enjoying the sights until your earlier assumptions about Grogu’s contentment were shattered as an opporunity to beg for food arised. The three of you were walking towards a vendor situated at the side of the street. Whatever they were smelling had a sweet, enticing aroma and, right on cue, Grogu whined and reached his little arms out towards the stall. As you approached the throng of people waiting to get their hands on the sweet treat, you noticed they were hot Corellian Ryshcate. You had never had these particular delicacies before, but they appeared to be pastries of some kind.
You stopped at the side of the street so you and Grogu could enjoy the flaky pastries - Din would eat later, given that he was waiting for the privacy of the cabin you would be staying in to remove his helmet. As you took your first bite of the Ryshcate, your mouth was suddenly transported to a rich, indulgent heaven of sugary, buttery goodness. There were nuts and fruits baked into the flaky layers and you hummed contentedly as you savoured the sweet treat.
“Is it good?” Din asked, shifting his weight awkwardly from one leg to the other as he waited, excluded due to his Creed from this simple pleasure. You knew he would not have it any other way though. It didn't stop you, though, from wishing sometimes, for his own sake above all else, that he could join in and live more freely.
“Delicious, Din.” You said, bringing your hand to your mouth as you replied so you did not inadvertently cover him in a storm of pastry flakes. “We can come back and get some tomorrow, perhaps, take them back to the cabin?” You suggested, it would be a shame for him to miss out.
“Sure,” Din nodded, “I think Grogu would like that too.”
You giggled as you noticed that the Ryshcate that had been in Grogu’s hands seconds before was now nowhere to be seen. It was larger than his head, but that had not prevented the little boy with the voracious appetite from gulping down the pastry despite its warmth and size. Once you had also finished your Ryshcate, you continued making your way down the street, Din’s hand finding yours again despite the bags… you just shook your head affectionately at his stubbornness. As you took in the sights and sounds before you, you didn’t think that Din could have picked out a better place for you to visit. Everything from the scenery, to the festive, relaxing atmosphere was exactly what you had been hoping for. You were pleased that Din had told you a little about the history of this place on your journey here. Now that you were actually here, walking around Doaba Guerfel, you could appreciate it fully.
As you made your way further down the street, Din finally allowed you to carry your bag so he could hold Grogu. The extra weight of the bag and the exertion caused you to notice how your breath was hanging in front of you like a little cloud. The air was crisp and The Mandalorian next to you looked impossibly handsome in the environment. Given that he was still in his armour, it was quite a feat, but you loved him in his beskar’gam as much as you loved him out of it. The white snow that touched every corner of this secluded mountain paradise, caused the armour to dazzle. Din's presence was attracting more than a few eyes. But with one strong hand in yours and another arm holding Grogu protectively, it was clear that this particular Mandalorian already had a Clan of his own.
Towards the end of the main street, Din guided you down one of the side streets. There were various establishments of all kinds; from diners and cantinas and small family run businesses selling toys and antiques. Most of them had intricate window displays for Life Day and it seemed as though every corner of this town had been touched by festive cheer. It was infectious, you couldn’t stop smiling as you walked down the street at Din’s side.
At the end of the street, there was a footbridge which took you across the mountains to the next peak. Wherever Din was taking you seemed to be as far out of the town as one could get, but it made sense given Din’s need for privacy if he were to remove his helmet and relax on this trip. After walking across several similar smaller bridges – the place was somewhat of a maze and you wondered how Din was keeping track – you eventually reached the cabin that was to be your home for the next few days.
The cabin was made out of dark brown wood, with a dusting of white snow on the roof. It looked unbelievably cozy and welcoming, especially given the landscape that surrounded the cabin. The array of flora that Din had promised were here could be found in the trees dotted around the cabin. It was an idyllic escape, nestled between the Nomad Mountains on all sides. After entering your secluded cabin and unpacking a few items from bags - including your warmest coat, hat, scarf and gloves - you helped Grogu dress in a new coat that Din had purchased for this trip, before you took him outside. You had intended to help him to build a snow-wookiee while you waited for Din to change into something more suited for enjoying the snowy environment than his armour. The privacy afforded by this secluded cabin meant that Din could remove his helmet. You couldn’t wait to see him in his dressed down, relaxed form out here in this safe haven.
The sun was beginning to set, bathing the sky in a beautiful collection of oranges and reds. You willed Din to hurry up, you didn't want him to miss something as stunning. In the time you had spend appreciating the sunset, you found that your plans to help Grogu in building a snow-wookiee were to be unrealised. Before you could even begin gathering snow with the shovel that lay propped against the dark wooden exterior of the cabin for him to play with, the mischievous little boy had used the Force to build an enormous, fully formed snow-wookiee.
“Grogu, that’s cheating,” You said, crossing your arms and shaking your head at him, a wide smile on your face.
“Muh?” Grogu responded, almost offended that you weren’t impressed with his handiwork.
You heard the door of the cabin open behind you and turned around to finally lay eyes upon your favourite Mandalorian. Bathed in the fading golden light, he was mesmerising. Din was wearing a thick red coat, with a material that would protect him from all the elements in contrast to your more fashionable woollen one. He still had his gloves on, too. It was the only part of him familiar to the way he was dressed when you had arrived at the cabin. Din stood there, surveying the scene before him with the prowess of the trained hunter he was. He smiled softly when his eyes met yours. You knew your face had lit up when you had seen him, it was impossible for you not to react to his warm brown eyes, you saw your expression mirrored in his, especially when he looked around and appreciated Grogu’s snow-based creation.
“Great job, kid!” Din said proudly as he strode towards the two of you. He picked Grogu up and brought him close. Grogu cooed and reached out to place his hand on his father’s cheek, his way of giving his seal of approval that Din had removed his helmet.
It was a touching sight. But you had plans to disrupt the peace as you bent down and scooped fistfuls of snow, moulding them into a sphere. Without any warning, you lobbed the snowball in the direction of Din. You had truly only intended to hit him on the side of his head, but your aim was so poor that you inadvertently hit him square in the face. The warm brown eyes that you had enjoyed gazing into only moments before were the first feature of Din’s to be visible again, as he blinked away the snow that had coated his entire face.
“Oh, you’ll pay for that,” Din said, voice low as he set Grogu down.
You yelped and began to run away from him, but you didn’t make it far, before Din grabbed you by the wrist and brought his snow-covered glove to your face, coating your face in snow just as his had been covered moments earlier.
“Okay, okay! I’m sorry!” You panted, breathless with laughter as you brought your hands to your face to wipe the snow away.
“Truce?” Din asked as he released his hand from your wrist and placed it on your waist, pulling you close to him. You looked down at his lips, so warm and inviting. It would be so easy to give in to what your heart wanted and kiss him. But he had played dirty, grabbing you and forcing his hand to your face like that.
“No way!” You exclaimed as you wriggled from his embrace and squatted down to sculpt another snow-based missile.
Din shook his head, laughing at you as you hurled another snowball at him. He retaliated in kind, catching you square in the jaw. You continued like that for a few more minutes, forgetting all about the actual child who was sitting quietly a few feet away in the snow, watching the pair of you fight like children. A snowball fight seemed like a good idea, but the two of you had apparently forgotten about the abilities of the child you adored.
It was the sound of a giggle a few feet away that reminded you that you and Din were not alone here. In all your horseplay, Grogu was being neglected. You were about to apologise, scoop him up and help him make some snowballs of his own. But the kid had other ideas. The sight of his little head, a tiny green dot against the white snow that was still as bright despite the fading light, was the last sight you saw before everything became a snowy white haze. Suddenly, every part of your body was being pummelled by snowballs.
“What the–” You started, wondering how it was possible for snowballs to be made and thrown with the speed they were right then.
“GROGU!” Din bellowed. His mind had been quicker to recall the abilities with the Force that his son possessed, abilities that were helping him thoroughly destroy two grown adults in this impromptu snowball fight. “STOP! THAT'S CHEATING!”
After a few more moments, Grogu finally relented, clapping his hands together in glee. As your vision returned, you noticed the way both you and Din were covered head to toe in snow… your faces barely visible amongst the carnage. Din’s thick coat certainly did a better job of protecting him from the elements than your own garment, which seemed woefully inadequate in comparison. There should have been something slightly humiliating about being beaten by a child, but all you could think about was the way Din’s cheeks were slightly rosy. How his smile dazzled against the brilliant white snow. His presence was magnetic… you could stare at him forever.
“I’ll make you pay for that, you little womp rat!” Din said playfully as he charged towards Grogu, who squealed in delight and tried to make a break for it from Din. Alas, his legs were too little and Din soon caught up to him, scooping him up with a motion that sent both of them tumbling to the ground.
You laughed at the sight and made your way over to them. Din placed Grogu on his knee and began passing him little bits of snow, whispering to him and instructing him how to make a snowball fairly, rather than with the Force. But rather than a sweet father and son bonding moment, it transpired that your boys were actually conspiring against you. Grogu pitched the little snowballs at you with stunning accuracy as each hit your cheeks. You stumbled dramatically, falling to the snow face down beside them and closing your eyes, as though mortally wounded.
“Wake up, cyare!” Din said playfully. “Oh no, Grogu… what did you do?”
Grogu whined in response.
“I think, perhaps, a kiss is needed?” Din said lightly.
The feeling of firstly Din’s warm breath washing over yours, and then his soft lips gently meeting yours meant, once he pulled away, the grin that was on your face shattered the illusion for Grogu, who was now staring at the two of you curiously. Even if you had wanted to continue the act, once Din kissed you, you couldn’t do anything except grin.
“All better.” You sighed, enjoying the way Din’s brown curls were sticking to his forehead, dampened by the snow. Warmth pooled in your chest as you looked at him, reflecting the depth of the affection you felt for this man.
Then, you flipped onto your back and began moving your arms and legs in unison to make a snow angel, watching the brilliant sky as you did so. Din placed Grogu on the snow between the two of you and began making the same motions. Grogu looked confused at first, but soon caught up, thrashing his little arms and legs about wildly. You caught Din’s eye as the two of you gazed at each other, soft smiles on your faces. You were trying to convey how grateful you were that he had brought you to this paradise. The look in his warm brown eyes, that shone like honey in the fading light, indicated that he understood. You slowed down, transfixed by him, before ceasing your motions. But then, the warmth in your chest that you felt whenever you looked at Din, was replaced with something much, much colder. Making snow angels with the two of them was such a joyful moment that you temporarily forgot how cold you were, your coat soaked through. But once the motions ceased, your teeth began chattering.
Din noticed instantly, looking at you with concern before he said, “Come on, let’s head inside and put Grogu to bed.” He raised an eyebrow, “Then,I have an idea for how to help you warm up.”
You couldn’t help but giggle breathlessly as Din pulled you to your feet. It turned out that the kiss had been a promise of things to come. As the pair of you walked hand in hand to the cabin, you took one last look back to the three figures in the snow in the fading light. The large, broad outline of Din’s snowangel, the shape that was unmistakably that of your own body and, between the two of you, the imprint Grogu had made, which seemed impossibly tiny next to the two of you. Especially considering the carnage he had just unleashed upon Din and you with the snowballs. So much power for one so small.
You thought with a smile that the snowy impressions of the three of you looked perfect together in the fluffy snow. They would be gone by the time you rose tomorrow, replaced by a fresh dusting of snow. But the love that the three of you felt for each other could not be replaced by any force in the galaxy.
For now, though, the unmistakable outlines of your little family remained as evidence of the fun afternoon you had spent in the snow.

R. Braun - Honey Soaked Promises
synopsis. In which you reminisce on your quest for revenge, irrigated with broken promises and fermented with betrayal, allowing you to act as the judge between life or death for yourself and the viper dressed in the skin of the love of your life.
— or alternatively, in which you make the stupid decision to fall in love with the wrong person on your journey to freedom...
Oh well, you'll just have to kill him now.
Series masterlist
chapter warnings. none! oh, also there's no reiner this chap, sorry :(
chapter sypnosis. Unexpected visitors, unexpected topics. Conversations that dictate the outcomes of many events to come in the future.
A/N: okay! I know this took forever and a day, but it’s here… though it is rather short. Nonetheless, I love how it turned out and I hope you do too, I’ve already begun working on the next chapter a while ago so fingers crossed it doesn’t take another century!
VII. The Dawn of the Ocean. Word count: 6.1K
“If what Armin had shared with you happened to truly exist, you feared that fact would change more than you wanted it to. The mere possibility forged a newborn pavement road in your vision of the future. A path that your heart called for, but if you acquiesced and indulged, that would mean sacrificing your long term goal.”
Teetering the edge between indulgence and selfishness.
You were never a morning person.
At one point you had even abhorred the time of day and regarded it with such disdain. That day was not disbarred from your wrath as you twisted and turned in your sheets in search of a position in which your covers were not far too warm for your taste; but alas to no avail, you were left frustrated. You groaned in discomfort and kicked the sheets off of your body as you internally berated yourself for seeming so ungrateful — for just a few years prior you hadn't had the privilege to do so. The mental scolding delivered by yourself only worsened your disposition and you huffed.
Light footsteps reverberated throughout the wood that fabricated the barracks you stayed in and a familiar voice followed.
"Y/N, are you awake?"
You sat up, albeit as sluggishly as possible, and blinked your tiresome eyes at Krista who had climbed halfway up the ladder to peer at you. "No." You stated.
The girl giggled, "Oh? Are you sleep talking then?" She teased with a grin.
"Yes, but I don't know how to sleep walk so whatever you need, it'll have to be done from here."
"Unfortunately, that's not do-able. You have visitors!" She informed you enthusiastically. Her words caused your brows to furrow in confusion — you had no plans to your knowledge and no one had mentioned that they needed to see you so soon during the day.
"Is it Jean? I already told the guy, I don't want him showin' me his coin collection again, it's really not as cool as he thinks it is." You perfunctorily guessed.
The boy had plenty to display to you in those regards, though you didn't think you could have endured an additional three hours of the delineating of the differences between pieces of metal that no longer held any value. Though, he had sworn up and down that was not to be the case in the near future; you surmised his idea of near differed from your own. Although, if his words had held merit and he indeed accumulated wealth off of his chunks of junk, perhaps you would have eaten your words.
You hoped he would have still paid you frequent visits at the very least, or extended an invitation to take a tour around his home located deep within the interior. You had entertained the idea of him becoming a noble, as brisk as the humored thought existed, and resolved that such a thing could have only been plausible when the walls fell — which, in your mind, was equivalent to the word never.
"It's not Jean this time, you should come down to greet them." She informed you and descended to the ground where she presumably went about her day.
'Them?'
Her phrasing piqued your curiosity and you swiftly slipped on your brown sweater before you followed her actions and arrived on the ground. As you stepped up to the door of the barracks, you were met with two gentle and amiable faces.
"Marco and Armin? To what do I owe the pleasure of your sudden visit this morning?" You asked with an inquiring tilt of your head.
Marco had become one of your dearest friends since the day you joined the Cadet Corps, he had welcomed you into his coterie with open arms and a warm grin. You spent most of your meals in his company, with the addition of a certain tall and long faced fool.
Truly, your question had been directed towards the latter of the pair.
You had the chance to acquaintance yourself with Armin and determined he was an altruistic person. You had no issues with the blonde and didn't mind his abrupt visit, for you entertained the idea of growing closer. Though, you had not reached that stage of your relationship yet. He was merely a friend of a friend, so there was no pondering on why his visit had came as a surprise to you.
"Good morning, Y/N!" Marco greeted and his bright grin caused your insides to warm at his affability. You couldn't help but to smile in return.
"Mornin', Marc." You replied.
Armin spoke next with a wince, "Good morning, Y/N. I'm sorry to bother you on one of our days off, and so early too. I hope we don't burden you too much."
You reassured the boy with a dismissive flick of your wrist, "Nah, it's fine. I had to get up soon anyway, I should thank you for giving me a reason to quit lazying around."
"It wasn't without reason either, I promise." Marco told you, "Basically, we were wondering if your services were still available?" He asked with a hopeful light in his eyes.
Your brows furrowed in question, "Services?" You repeated. The pair nodded in unison and pointed a finger towards their own heads of hair. The realization struck you then, and you sighed in resignation. "Alright, talk. Who was it?"
Armin chuckled sheepishly, "Do you even have to ask?"
You scoffed playfully and decided he was absolutely correct in that judgment. "That girl is gonna be the death of me." While no spoken words had confirmed it, there hadn't been a need for them to. Sasha was, indubitably, the suspect who spilled your competence as a hairdresser. "Come on in, you can head all the way towards the back." You instructed, and stepped aside to allow them to enter the girls space. Both boys acceded, and by the time you had drawn out your supplies, Armin sat prettily on the wooden chair; albeit slightly stiffly considering how intrusive he felt to visit a space intended for the opposite gender.
Hesitatingly so, he strained his neck as to peek at the tools you had laid out on the surface of Sasha's bed. It was the least she could have offered, considering her blabbering words had led them to you in the first place. Not that you minded it much. "Uhm, so, what exactly do you use, anyway?" The blonde asked.
Unsheathing the blade that had continued to lay in your pocket for years, you presented it proudly. "For the most part, this small thing." The case was worse for wear, though still intact enough to be useful, but the cunning edge had still held its pristine and threatening shape; curtesy to your thorough care. "Recently though, the girls have gathered their own tools and let me use them when I need to. I'm sure they won't mind." You explained.
The array of instruments that laid before you had consisted of shears, bristled brushes, wide tooth combs, sectioning clips, and some hair ties. While it hadn't been the most adept collection, it held some merit and did its job.
Marco sat beside the layout and fiddled with whatever had piqued his interest. "This is impressive, I didn't know this was an actual thing." He uttered in awe.
His words had caused you to chuckle lightly, "Me neither, I was under the impression it was a one time occurrence. I guess I can make some exceptions," You teased, "I don't mind, really." You finished, and it was the truth. It bore you no hassle for the movement of your fingers was as instinctual as wielding a blade. Ironically, both skills worked in your favor in that moment. "Anyway, what are you looking to get done today, Armin?" You asked.
He seemed to have had needed a moment to mull the ideas over in his head before he resigned and explained his decision. "For today? Just slightly more than a trim, if possible. Perhaps some time in the future I'll grow the balls to go shorter." He tittered, before apologizing. "Sorry."
His tone had indicated that he bore some embarrassment for his decision, which you felt the need to soothe. "That's fine with me, hun. It's far less labor on my part." You reassured.
"Thanks," He sighed in relief, "My hair has always been a part of me that is intertwined with my confidence. I guess, sort of like a security blanket? Something that I'm not so sure if I'm ready to let go of yet."
You nodded understandingly, for that sentiment was something the both of you had shared. "I get it, that's pretty common." You were sure that many more cadets in your class had felt the same, or perhaps thought the opposite and wouldn't mind leaving that security blanket behind. "Can I begin?" You asked, to which the boy accepted.
You brushed through his aureate strands first — an action you found had hardly even been needed in the first place. It seemed as if he heeded his golden locks enough to treat them with the utmost care, something you found that you admired and decided to provide the corresponding amount of effort from your own palms.
His eyes fluttered shut at the feeling of your fingers parting his hair, alike a garden-fresh breeze towed in with the springtide. The lashes that feathered his cheeks had made it apparent that he found your gentle touches comforting.
"I was wondering, how did you learn to do this type of thing? Did someone teach you?" He voiced suddenly.
You pondered your response rather than uttering the bare truth that came to mind, ran your words through a mental sieve and culled your phrasing. "You could say that, I guess. Though, I'd call it sittin' around and watchin'." You chuckled at your vague reply. "Perhaps the skill rubbed off on me, which I reckon wasn't such a bad thing."
"Well, it worked out for us either way." Marco added with a warm smile. You knew then that he had to have sensed there was more you were reluctant to share, and as always, the freckled boy never pried but instead attempted to alleviate your stress; never intensify it.
You hummed softly, "Very true. Thank you, slothful ten year old me."
Apparently, the early hour was not a nuisance to solely you, for Armin released a large yawn. Though, that action was not what had your eyes broadening as you staggered.
It was the glassy appearance of his cerulean irises once his eyelids had peeled away once again. The blonde was gifted with wide and round shaped eyes, which weren't the greatest contradiction to the ones that arose in your mind, though you would not classify them as similar either. You had guessed it was the gleam they harbored that sparkled alike the millions of lanterns that flickered about every night, or perhaps it was simply the way in which they appeared when soddened. Most likely, it was the doe eyed stare he peered at you with — so alike, yet dissimilar.
Your breath hitched and you implored yourself to analyze the details that made them distinct, instead.
Cielo's weren't as wide as his, and they certainly were not the same shape. They had also differed in shade, disparately so — whereas Armin's mirrored the sky during midday, Cielo's were reminiscent of the opposite. You supposed Mikasa's irises bore the most resemblance, considering they resembled in shade and shape. Though, if you had the obligation to choose, she was most definitely not the person you would have compared his to.
But, that raised the question: what was it that had made you envision the small boy?
"Y/N?" Armin called in concern.
You blinked harshly to release yourself of your trance and noticed that your palms had remained stagnant in their previous movements, right before his face. "Oh, sorry." You apologized and sluggishly resumed his trimming.
"You're fine, I was just worried. Is something the matter?"
You shook your head slightly, "You just- you kind of reminded me of someone just now."
His brows rose with curiosity, "Oh, who?" He asked.
You allowed yourself to respond at your own pace, not intending on ignoring the boy, but as well as refusing to force yourself to speak in vulnerability. "Just someone that I used to know." You replied shortly.
Your dry response had caused the blonde to reappraise his inquiry, for he feared that he had trekked over a line that he wasn't aware existed.
Marco remained quiet, instead opting to inspect your expressions closely. There was an aura to your words that created an air of uncertainty. He realized that it wasn't that you were uncomfortable speaking about the mystery person on your mind, it was that you simply did not know how to. There was conflict in your eyes reflecting a storm that brewed anew. He was certain that, that storm had not previously been there nor did it deserve its place; for it replaced the usual crisp draft that swept away the sepulchral tones.
You berated yourself for behaving so uncongenial towards the boy. He should not have felt poor for asking genuine questions.
"He used to love clouds." You offered as compensation. Unexpected, but not unwelcome. You chuckled airily, "Sometimes, it looked as if he wanted to nap in'em."
Armin smiled fondly, "Did he love to spend his time outside?"
You gulped down a whimper, "You could say so."
The boy beamed at your confirmation, "Me too! I love a lot of things about the outside worl- er, I mean the outside. Like nature!"
Though you had caught his hesitation, you hadn't called him out for it, figuring that if you had your own secrets, others were allowed to have theirs.
"Me too." You giggled. "While I didn't see my expression, I know that I probably looked like a lunatic the first time I saw a river. Not to mention, the first time I held snow." Your eyes softened in their reminiscent state, "This might sound cheesy, but it was life altering. In some abstract way." Your voice dwindled into a whisper.
"It was the same for me," The boy related, "I mean, I know that snow isn't living, but it felt like I was holding life directly in my palms." His fond stare had moved to poke and prod at his own hands.
Your eyes widened in recognition, a flicker of excitement igniting in your chest. "Really? I felt that way too."
He hummed in agreement, "It was..." He sighed in resignation after a moment of deliberate dwelling on words. "I don't even know how to describe it, or if I'd ever be able to."
That had been one of the very first instances in a while where it was as though someone had understood or viewed what the world had to offer in the same light as you had — placed those offering as high on a pedestal as you had. An emotion that you had not felt so much of in ages bubbled up in your throat, as though there was so much that you yearned to say, but the weight of your tongue would not allow it to spill so haphazardly.
You felt exhilarated. Exhilaration you couldn't contain, so you disregarded the hamper in your mouth and allowed those retained words to soil your clothes.
"I-it was like, in that moment, even with my fingers so stiff from the cold, when I watched the snowfall melt on my skin I felt... everything?" Your words tilted in question, before you decided that what you spoke was the truth. Whether it made any sense didn't matter at all. "Everything all at once, it was pure rapture. As if being there in that second, hour, and day to witness the miracle of literal fucking ice falling from the sky meant that it didn't matter whether I lived or died because simply being there, then, a part of this universe was enough. Whether I did something abstract with my life or spent it in the slums was arbitrary, because in the end I held that snowfall for myself. My joy. Not anyone else's, it was me."
All was quiet once your proclamation had came to a close, and Armin gaped while Marco gazed at you with an admiration full of affection. You heeded their expressions and abashedly cleared your throat. "But, uhm, anyway..." You continued and moved to begin the last section of Armin's hair.
Armin's pending eyes moved to his lap, before they flickered towards the brunet that sat on Sasha's bunk. He seemed to be pondering a thought that he wasn't sure he should elucidate or not. After a few moments of strenuous silence, he began, "Can you guys keep a secret?" He asked hesitantly.
You looked to your friend, still sat comfortably with his arms supporting his weight, with questioning eyes briefly before you settled your gaze on the blonde once again. "Sure." You admitted.
"Of course." Marco reassured.
The boy inhaled deeply, as if steeling himself was necessary in order to utter his next words. "Do you know about... the sea?"
His foreign words had caused your head to cock in perplexity, "The sea?" You repeated.
Marco hummed, "I'm almost sure that I've heard you talk about it with Eren before, though I feel that it's rude to eavesdrop." He added.
You chuckled, "Of course you would, Mr. Nice guy." You teased, to which the boy rubbed his neck with a sheepish grin.
"Yes, the sea!" Armin exclaims, "It's the reason I'm here, as a cadet. You guys probably won't believe me, but the sea is a huge body of salt water." He beamed.
Your brows furrowed, for his words had rung no bells in your mind. Though, they had raised alarms that blared at you to tread carefully. "Wait, salt water? As in, merchant salt?" You reiterated.
He bobbed his head enthusiastically, "Mhm! But, it's so big that merchants can spend their entire lifetimes attempting to remove it and still wouldn't even come close to rendering it empty!" He vehemently informed you.
"What?!" Marco freaked in his seat, his brown eyes as wide as saucers.
You hastily moved yourself to stand directly before the blonde and firmly placed your hands atop his shoulders. "Armin, say that again." You urged. Your ears couldn't believe what they had heard.
"I know! It sounds crazy, but it's true! I know that it's somewhere beyond the walls with other places we couldn't ever think to imagine exist. I haven't even told you about the fire water, or the lands of ice, or even the fields upon fields of sand!" He added brightly. The fascination in your eyes did not allow you any other option than to believe his words ring true.
It was then that you realized just what it was in him - that wide eyed dreamer that you had met serendipitously in your time as a cadet - that had reminded you of your Cielo.
It was the way in which he viewed the world in wonderment; as if he had worshipped all that the world he was born into had to offer him. It was a sentiment mirrored in your own irises, as well.
He treasured life, or rather, the things that came with it.
"Fire water? Lands of ice?" Marco repeated incredulously, for his mind seemed to have the same amount of trouble conceiving such ideas as yours did.
"Armin, where did you hear about this?" Your eyes pleaded for his answer.
While you were sure his words had registered in your cerebrum, it did little to aid in the construction of the scene they painted behind your eyes. Fire water was otherworldly even in its name, could it be liquid or plasma? If you dipped a palm in, would your fingers grow wrinkly or charred? How would it form? Would it be tangible? What variety of colors would it present itself in? Not to mention the fields of sand? Where would such a thing even originate from?
"My grandfather had a book stashed away with a plethora of ideas such as these. When we were younger, Eren and I would spend all day looking at the pictures." He explained.
"A book?" Marco tittered lightheartedly, "Armin, anything detailing the outside world is illegal. No MP is gonna come knocking on our door, are they?" He jested.
Armin gasped at the notion, "No! I swear, they won't. Don't worry, Marco." He reassured.
"Well, I was joking, but thanks for the confirmation anyway."
"Do you have it with you?" You asked.
The blonde's brows met and he gazed at you sympathetically, "No, not anymore. I'm sorry, it's back in Shiganshina." He informed you.
You hid your disappointment well, though you knew that Armin did not require physical hints to understand your feelings. "Oh." Was all that you replied.
"That's okay, though. Right, Y/N?" Marco suggested.
"Yeah, of course, it's just that..." You trailed off, before your lowered gaze lifted itself back onto the catalyst of the incoming downpour restraining itself in your still young body. "Armin, are you sure that this is the truth?"
"Well, that's what I'm hoping to find out once I join the scouts. So that one day, I'll get to see it for myself."
You were hesitant, it was as clear as the night sky after a sweltering summer day. You pondered if your question was truly worth asking, before you determined that your body would not allow itself to rest so easily if it went unanswered.
"Armin..." You uttered weakly, to which the boy in question hummed attentively and your brows knitted with apprehension. "You're willin' to risk your life for a dream? A dream that you're not even sure truly exists?" It was patently such a genuine question, for the notion was inconceivable to you.
He wasted nothing but his breath in replying, "That's the thing! It's not just a dream, it's more than that. So much more that I can't even begin to explain. I guess I've never been well with words." He chuckled sheepishly before earnestly contemplating his reply. While he knew it would bear value, you had great doubt that he had ever truly comprehended the weight at which it would tug at your heart in the near future. "It's as if there's a part of me that demands it. A significant part that I can't bear to ignore, because doing so would be ignoring myself. I could never treat myself that way, and I'd even go as far as to say that I pity anyone who does." He stated fervidly whilst his bright lazurite eyes shone with as much verity as a pastor citing the gospel. "So yes, I'd be willing to join the scouts if it means seeing what's beyond the walls."
His words had snapped you out of a daze that you couldn't remember when you had entered. It prodded at your bare soul and cried out, as if your inner self had just registered how unjust it had been treating itself and would allow it no longer; causing a turmoil to ravel itself further in their chambers.
"The scouts... the outside world." You muttered absentmindedly.
If what Armin had shared with you happened to truly exist, you feared that fact would change more than you wanted it to. The mere possibility forged a newborn pavement road in your vision of the future. A path that your heart called for, but if you acquiesced and indulged, that would mean sacrificing your long term goal.
"Well, when you do find it - go ahead and send us an invite alright? We'll travel all the way from the king's side just to see it." Marco insisted, never being the one to dim anyone's light, even if he didn't fully believe the proclamation.
"Of course!" Armin agreed, before he attempted to peek at the length of his hair. "Oh, are you finished, Y/N?" He asked.
"Oh, yeah. You're all done. Sorry if it isn't perfect, I'm learnin' as I go."
His head shook rapidly, "No, it's better than perfect! Thanks a lot, you've got a really handy skill. I've never seen anyone wield a blade as proficiently as you."
"No problem, and this is free of charge Armin, so there's no need to flatter me." You jested, and then looked towards the brunet at your side. "You ready?"
Marco nodded in confirmation and both boys traded spots with a slight bounce to their steps, you delighted at their infectious demeanors, "So, what'll it be today sugar?" You asked.
"I don't need much done if I'm being honest. These front pieces are just about to reach my eyes though and I really don't want that. It's probably a job I could have done myself, but I don't trust my inadequate skills." He chuckled at his admission.
"That's alright, this shouldn't take long at all." You said and began to stroke your fingers through the short strands you aimed to cut, for preparation.
"So, you're an outdoors kind of gal?" He asked suddenly.
Though it was an unexpected observation, that didn't thwart the formation of your fond smile. "Yeah, nature is beautiful. I can't help but to admire it."
"I can see that, that's admirable in itself as well, you know? Life is a beautiful but fickle thing."
"Fickle?" You asked, one of your brows bent with interest.
He nodded as best as he could have without causing you to accidentally nick at his skin. "It's transient, and the role we live in can be snatched away in an instant. I can't imagine living it in any other way than chasing our dreams. Otherwise, what's the point? Was all of it for naught?" He explained.
You hummed softly, "Perhaps it's far more complicated than that."
"I think it's as complicated as you make it to be." He suggests without doubt to his words.
Your brows furrowed in contemplation once more, for what he said had made sense to you, but of course you chose to stubbornly deny to accept the insight and clung onto the thread of fate coiled around your throat. Marco saw how heavily you struggled with your own self, however he recalled how that had always seemed to be the case when it came to you.
You had always been locking horns with a miscreant you yourself had concocted.
"My point is - life is short. Make of it what you can, and if that means chasing something you see as intangible, then that's all the more reason to keep trying. A reason to live." He continued even when the furrow in your brow had only seemed to deepen. "What is life without a destination, and what is a destination without some sense of accomplishment? You never know what chapter is on the horizon."
"I don't want a strange author dictating where my life goes and what I accomplish." You stated as the mere thought of such an idea brought distaste to your tongue.
You were reminded of Stefan and Cielo.
What kind of author had written and devised their deaths for the sake of accomplishment? Not one you were willing to adhere to.
You were no Icarus and would not bear to allow yourself to burn for ephemeral bliss by gliding far too near the sun. It was inconceivable to you.
Marco merely laughed in the way that made his head move from side to side, the same way you had every time you had caught Sasha purloining food from Connie's tray at lunch. "Silly. You are the author." He rebutted with shaking shoulders.
Your fingers grew stiff and subconsciously withdrew themselves from within his dark hair. Your breath was nowhere to be found, and even your chest had halted its rise and fall. You were caught entirely off kilter, not having expected him to have a rebuttal on hand. Though, you supposed it was more so how correct he was that caused you to enter a state of stupor.
Marco's words were nothing but the truth — you had the baton to conduct the ensemble of your life. Dictating its path, one that could either bring your disgustingly selfish and vindictive goals to reality, or allow you the ability to feel free; to experience eternal bliss.
You, who is forever fizzing, frothing, buzzing, and exploding at your core. You, a human, who is bubbling over and blooming wide. You, who is your own solar system, galaxy, and universe. You, the conductor, the orchestra, and the choir. You who would be eternally grateful if all you held was yourself, the trees, the skies, and the seas — that would be enough. Whether you stood over the corpse of a mere MP or a million Titans was insignificant.
Your voice was raw, raspy, and true. "What I would pick wouldn't make any sense. You'd think it's stupid, hell, I think it's stupid. Which is why I won't go down that route."
Marco remained quiet once more, presumably to collect his own thoughts, to choose and pluck them individually. His head tilted to find your lowered gaze as he told you, "It doesn't have to make sense to anyone but yourself. If simply being happy is what brings you peace, then that's a good enough reason to listen. Forget needing or deserving, do you want it?"
You did, more than you had ever wanted anything else in your life. "It doesn't matter if others don't agree, they aren't you. You're allowed to make your own mistakes, you might even find that there are none."
Your head shifts to the side and you release a sigh of defeat. Though, unfortunately, not towards Marco. It was an exhale of submission to the implacable voices in your mind that thwarted your ability to pursue anything other than what you carved in stone on the day of both Stefan and Cielo's deaths. Mere words of affirmation would never be enough to spur you into an alternate direction.
For the sake of your future, you wished they had been.
"It's convoluted." You determined with a wince. "I'm sorry to waste your wisdom." You said as your disheartened gaze met his tender and empathetic one.
Those raw umber eyes had told you they understood, and although you knew it was quite impossible for that to be true, you believed their whispers.
"Nothing could ever be wasted on you, Y/N." He assured.
You chuckled at his habit of making it his priority to dispel any worries his peers might have created for themselves, "Charmer." You teased lightheartedly.
You had wished to be even the slightest bit as optimistic as Marco had always presented himself as. The thought of his mien being a sort of veil had occurred to you, perhaps the boy hadn't truly believed his own words and simply uttered them with the hope of speaking them into existence. A wish to change the future.
Or perhaps he had thought them to be true, and in that case, you knew you could never compel that mindset to be your own.
"Alright, this marks the end of my coiffeuse career, for today at least." You announced as you completed the final snip of bark colored hair.
"Wow, thanks so much for entertaining our abrupt visit! You're amazing, Y/N." Armin praised vehemently.
"I am, aren't I?"
"Not too much commending for this one, Armin. Her ego inflates as rapidly as Jean's does." Marco jested as he ruffled your hair, "Look, her head's already grown and you've barely begun your applause."
Your eyes rolled at his obvious taunting, "As if yours isn't ten times worse." You goaded in return. "Anyway, I'll walk you two out. If you don't mind, I'd love to return to my attempts of peaceful slumber and I still have to clean up."
"Kicking us out already?" Marco feigned offense.
You laughed at the notion, "If I don't, Armin will chew all of his nails off by the time he musters up the courage to dismiss himself." You gestured to the blonde who, ironically, was doing just that.
"I feel like I'm invading a space that I shouldn't be." He muttered in embarrassment.
Marco guffawed at his discomfort, "Alright, let's go before you bite your fingers off." He agreed and led your group towards the door where he took ahold of the knob and twisted.
But, before he allowed himself to leave you to your midday napping, his hand hesitated on the glossy metal. His brows furrowed and an expression hindered by his pensive thoughts formed on his soft features. Before you could have uttered any word of concern, he spoke what you had assumed to be the thoughts plaguing away at his mind.
"Y/N, you're allowed to take your time. Especially so considering how young we are, but... if I may?" He asks and you couldn't tell whether his hesitance was caused by mere caution or scruple. "Life as we know it ends, at some point. And in many cases, it's highly unexpected."
You hadn't heeded how adept the freckled boy was at reading people, or perhaps it was you specifically that he had grown accustomed to that had allowed him to peruse your soul so easily. Conversely, the thought that maybe you had always simply worn your emotions on your chest and laid them all bare was what had permitted the boy to skim your thoughts.
You never responded and you doubted he had ever expected you to, though you wish you had, for perhaps future emotional turbulence could have been avoided if so.
So, he proceeded with his departure, though as soon as the door knob twisted and unveiled what awaited you on the other side, the gush of polar and dampened wind fled into the cabin alike a cold bucket of water.
"Ack!" Marco grimaced at the alteration of atmosphere. No longer had he felt cozy and safe, instead his shaking bones curled in on themselves to shield his body from the chill that invaded your senses.
"Oh wow, it's raining!" Armin examined.
"How didn't we notice that before?" You asked as you braced yourself to step out onto the wooden porch. Your sock clad feet felt the moisture instantly, though the temperature only spurred you to inch closer to the railing. After a deep inhalation that cleared your head, you surmised, "It smells like it's gonna rain all day."
Armin takes it upon himself to stick a palm flat in the air not shielded by the large awning that thwarted the water from meeting your heads. "Oh, but it feels very refreshing." He announced with a fond smile as he stared at the droplets that littered his hand.
"There are already so many puddles, I wonder how long the rain has been here for. It wasn't here on our way to the cabin." Marco wondered.
Mimicking the blonde's actions, your skin feels the frigid water that falls from the sky, the sensation not at all deterring your good mood. In fact, it seemed to have cleared your mind of any tussle of thoughts that sat on the forefront of your head.
Almost as if under a spell, Armin haphazardly stomped his foot into a small pool of water that had accumulated by his boots, soddening the pants of the boy beside him in the process, the blonde seeming to not know the reason why he did it, if the perplexity on his face had any telling of the truth.
"Oops, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to-"
Before the worried boy was able to complete his apology, his friend repeated his actions in retaliation, though he failed to notice that you too were in his range of fire. He didn't seem to have any regrets either way. Only amusement detected in his guffaw as you squealed at the sudden dampness of your pants.
Of course, ever the challenging spirit, you did not allow the misdeed to go unpunished, and even as you reciprocated, neither boy granted you the courtesy either.
Before you knew it, all three of you had somehow ended up out from under the awning and instead, under the open sky catapulting throngs of heavy droplets your way. Not halting the splashing and kicking of your legs further soiling your clothes, incautiously permitting the buoyant giggles and chortles to fill the air and irrigate the strands of your hair along with the rain. Not that any of you had cared.
In that moment, you weren't soldiers in training, awaiting the fortuitous day that you too would perish from the world you were born into. A world that was unjust, inequitable, and bore many secrets. You were dreamers who had came upon other dreamers on your paths toward your individual goals. Dreamers latching onto the feelings that allowed them to feel alive.
Or perhaps you weren't something as abstract as that, chasing a will to live. Maybe you were just kids.
Kids who grew to love mornings a little more after that day.
Fun fact: maia and arlo are both sick and honey is not helping.

justin and hailey bieber composite chart houses
1st house: the composite 1st house rules the relationship itself and your outward identity together. It shows how people view your relationship, and how you come across together.
sagittarius 1st house : sagittarius is a fun-loving sign in search of adventure, so having the composite 1st house in sagittarius can make you come across as an adventurous pairing. you may travel a lot together, and can be more open to new experiences together. the downside to sagittarius with relationships is this is the commitment-phobic sign, so commitment may be more difficult to find with this placement, whether personal or professional. if you can give each other a lot of space, that can be a good thing, and you may prefer to not make anything official.
1st house ruler in 1st house: your health is usually excellent and this placement usually indicates a long life span. it also shows a very outspoken person with a noticeable personality since you have the most untainted energy of your ascendent. shows a supportive and happy home during childhood.
jupiter in 1st: with composite jupiter in the 1st house, you can greatly enjoy this relationship/partnership, and you can feel good when you’re together. you may each have more opportunities together than apart, and you can work together to expand your lives in new ways and have new experiences. you can have a more optimistic outlook together, and you can open up doors together than may not open alone.

2nd house ruler in 3rd house: this placement indicates that a person will earn money through their personal efforts. unfortunately, money will not come easily to them if they just sit there and hope for it, instead these people have to work for every penny that they want to make. however, that money could come from siblings, close friends, and neighbors since these are aspects which the 3rd house generally rules over. they could also make money through artistic efforts, singing, speech, sales, marketing, advertising, and short distance travels. if ill-placed, this placement would mean one will earn money through dishonest actions because of their personal anxiety to get money and wealth. they could also be impatient, lack courtesy for others in speech, and just overall, have a very harsh-spoken mannerism.
sun in 2nd house: with the composite sun in the 2nd house, a common value system is important to keep the relationship going, if it’s a personal or romantic relationship. if you don’t see eye-to-eye on your values, this can be a point of contention between you and you can try to convince one another of your views in a stubborn way. this can be an excellent position for a business relationship because this house rules money and assets, and you can benefit one another financially and make more money together.
mercury in 2nd house: with composite mercury in the 2nd house, this can be a good placement for a business relationship, and you can focus on the plans and ways you can create wealth and accumulate values together. in a personal relationship, you can take your time getting your points across, and you may be more stubborn about your viewpoints with one another, so you need to make sure you’re being open about your differences with your beliefs and opinions. you may not be quick to get into fights, but can get stuck on them when you do, so try not to hold on to grudges with one another.

neptune in 2nd house: with composite neptune in the 2nd house, you can have difficulties dealing with finances and your resources together. in a personal relationship, you may find you have trouble holding on to your resources while together. in a business relationship, neither of you may be very good with money, which can tempt you to get outside help, but you have to be careful you aren’t deceived. it can be good if you work together in a spiritual or artistic business.

3rd house: the composite 3rd house can show how you are together in your immediate environment and what you focus on together day-to-day. this is a house of communication, so it can also reflect how you communicate in the relationship, and what you can think about together.
aquarius 3rd house: with the composite 3rd house in aquarius, the two of you can be much more open to new and different ways of thinking and viewing situations and the world together than you are apart (depending on natal placements). you can take unconventional approaches to daily life, perhaps avoiding routines and standard structure, and may prefer unusual immediate environments. you may focus together on pushing boundaries.
3rd house ruler in the 2nd house: since the 2nd house rules over wealth and riches, this indicates a person who may earn a lot of wealth and money. but, since this means the 2nd and 12th house have a connection, the person also has a lot of expenses. but due to connection of 2nd house of artistic ability and 3rd house of communication, this indicates a person who has artistic ability in communication and could succeed in careers such as singers, writers, musicians, dancers, etc. but this placement could cause unhappiness in family life if the individual is too lost in the realm of making more money. if ill-placed, could indicate a person who spends money on women and immortal activities. also, could indicate death of younger siblings.
saturn in 3rd house: in this relationship you may have communication problems, there may be something that you do not want to tell to each other. also your brothers/sisters can interfere in your relationship. you would not like to be seen by your close circle. they can judge your relationship or they make you feel like so.

eros in 3rd house: a turbulent and atmospheric energy colors this relationship-something boarding upon seductive wordplay and trancelike body movements. seduction in the form of literacy and temptation. there’s often teasing and lead up to the intimacy here in this relationship and often times there’s a seemingly cold air surrounding your sexual nature to others many don’t see it while behind the screens an almost childlike and youthful sexual playground is the reality.
4th house: the composite 4th house can show how we connect emotionally, what we build together from the ground up, and what the base of our connection is (since this is the bottom of the chart).
pisces 4th house: with the composite 4th house in pisces, a strong emotional connection can be incredibly important for the two of you, otherwise it may be difficult for you to come and stay together. there also needs to be some healthy emotional boundaries, otherwise your emotions may bleed together and you have no clue which are yours and which are theirs. once you can do that, you can be very compassionate and understanding emotionally with one another.

taurus 6th house: with the composite 6th house in taurus, you can take your time together with tending to the little things and the day-to-day tasks and chores or work projects. you may move slowly together, and it can be difficult for you both to move together, but once you get going together, you can keep at it to the end with whatever you’re doing. this can be the same approach with issues that arise in the relationship.
6th house ruler in 2nd house: the native’s sense of security and self-worth is often benefited by the native having a consistent daily routine in place. if the native’s routine is for some reason disrupted the native may not feel secure or comfortable in themselves. the main purpose of their everyday job or menial work is to make income but will also serve the native’s sense of self-worth - the native is often very hard working and the job they do may even be related to finances. their co-workers may influence their self-worth quite a lot and will impact how well they generate income. when it comes to pets the native may spend quite a lot of money on them but may also be able to use their pets as a means to bring money in - above all the native’s sense of self-worth is likely to benefit from having pets. the native may spend a lot of money on their health and fitness as well as possibly preventing or curing illness. the native’s values may be shaped by their experience with illness.

Sociotype Profiles — ILI
Ego
Leading Ni
The ILI is disposed towards inner reflections on the flow of events. Detaching from trivial concerns, ILIs turn their attention to the more important and far-reaching matters of life. Penetrating the misty vestiges of the past and future through depth of imagination, ILIs tend to synthesise for themselves a profoundly realist, neutral world view that can be perceived as 'bleak' or 'gloomy' by others. Such a world view is frequently in the form of a singular eventuality that current events will head towards given certain variables. For them, the present is only important in so much as it is the midway point between what has happened and what will happen, and that sometimes actions can be undertaken to change or alter that interaction, usually in the form of preventing stupidity that might lead to disaster later on. Often what is completely obvious to the ILI makes very little sense to anyone else and they may be frustrated that other people are too dense to see the issues so clear to them. Frequently, ILIs may feel that they have a responsibility to inform people of these dangers, especially if they may affect the world at large. As such, ILIs regularly come across as critics and augurs for the consequences of foolishness, although their risk aversion may also mean that they do not deign to get involved, in case they are also pulled in to drown.
Creative Te
ILIs tend to be rather well-read. Regularly informing their perception of events is a wealth of useful and relevant information, often historical, mystical or arcane, that they tend to slowly accumulate over time. However, ILIs do not merely take in the facts to apply them, but undergo a long rumination process, picking out patterns and trends that they see as carrying particular temporal weight and thinking these through until they have an idea on what they mean for the long term. Such information they can usually recall well and use to back up any points or musings they might come up with. Furthermore, should there be a long term outcome that an ILI deems as favourable, or one that they particularly wish to avoid, the ILI can plan out the processes by which these outcomes can be reached or prevented. Often they will enjoy board games that require strategy, and may be a number of steps ahead of their opponents, creating a plan and adapting any technique at their disposal to fit the plan. However, this ability also allows them to know when something is inevitable or out of their power, and in such situations, the ILI will fatalistically wait it out. In a similar way, the ILI will often be the first to point out when an action is useless or pointless, already knowing that it will not lead anywhere despite the optimism of others.
Super-Ego
Vulnerable Fe
ILIs do not tend to care what others think of them and often would prefer not to unnecessarily interact with people other than those they care about. Frequently, ILIs fill the archetype of the outsider to any social circle and the teller of unpopular truths, not because they actively desire to be contrary or controversial, but because they do not see the point of sweetening their words for the ears of others at the expense of accuracy and sincerity. For the ILI, this is partially due to a lack of awareness of their own emotional expression and the impression they are giving off to others. Furthermore, the concept of showing emotions, rather than simply feeling them internally, is quite alien to them, sometimes resulting in a listless or austere manner when speaking. When aware that someone is putting on a façade of sunny emotions, the ILI approaches them with scepticism, questioning their angle. The ILI may stubbornly resist attempts by such people to make them to join in with the forced enthusiasm, socially alienating themselves as a result. ILIs may express frustration with seemingly pointless social norms like small talk, avoiding pleasantries and cutting straight to the point in conversation. These tendencies run the risk of spoiling the positive mood, resulting in a loss of popularity for the ILI. Consequently, their fore-warnings can often fall on deaf ears as people may decide not to listen to them and may mistake it for pessimism. However, to accuse ILIs of pessimism is to misunderstand their realism. After all, unjustified negativity is as bad to them as unjustified optimism.
Role Si
The ILI is best situated when detached from the present day and pondering over themes of times been and yet to come. However, a certain amount of begrudging self-maintenance is kept with the ILI, who usually attends to chores and concerns around the house at a slow, steady pace, freeing up the mind to go elsewhere. ILIs are usually unconcerned with how they look, but will nevertheless know to maintain basic hygiene and standard practices. However, ILIs will have little care for anything luxurious or pleasant. The room they may occupy is a simple holding cell for them to sleep in, its comfort being as important to them as their distant memories of the room years later. They may also possess a good eye for detail when needed, being able to spot errors and and read the fine print, keeping an eye on the specifics of practical tasks without much difficulty. Many may take up work requiring repetitive or detailed activity and perform well, although they will use such physical tasks to go elsewhere mentally.
Super-Id
Mobilizing Fi
Although many appear cold and detached on the outside, ILIs can possess powerful sentiments and attachments that are shut out from public view except in short bursts of temper. ILIs rarely forgive and even more rarely forget the wrongs done to them by other people. ILIs can have a rather strong, all-or-nothing sense of decency and character judgement, sacrificing their own needs without complaint for the select few they care about, while keeping a wary psychological distance from most others. Although being difficult to get close to, ILIs deeply want to encounter people whom they actually like and foster a bond of great significance. Rather than seek belonging of any social circle where public approval is required, ILIs seek out these close, personal contacts, serving as trusted advisers to those who sincerely find them worth listening to.
Suggestive Se
The ILI tends to possess a sardonic sense of humour and when the situation calls for it, may make harsh or biting comments at those they think deserve it. However, this is usually the limit of an ILI's aggression. Although often appreciative of power and the will to confront or change reality, they themselves are unable to adequately make these changes themselves, having difficulty overcoming the inertia of excessive thinking before any action might be taken. Rather than jump in and think on their feet, ILIs tend to be highly risk averse, finding it easier to succeed through careful preparation and reviewing as much relevant information as possible in the time they have, making sure that whatever they do will ensure good outcomes for the future. This can lead to a certain hesitance to make a decision, although once a decision is finally made, it is stuck to. They tend to appreciate those with a relentless energy to get what they want when they want, finding this empowering and shaking them out of their analytical paralysis.
Id
Ignoring Ne
ILIs tend to have little patience for brainstorming with others and running through different options. Instead their goal is to deliberately limit the range of possibilities as much as they can, putting together the most probable estimation for how future events are going to turn out from the trends and information available. When faced with alternatives, the ILI will likely respond with stubbornness, seeing their conclusion as the most likely outcome and the only one worth focusing on. This can be interpreted by others as arrogance, although the ILI is unlikely to have a position at all until they have given the matter considerable thought and surveyed all the relevant variables in forming their opinion. Often the ILI will turn out to have been right all along, by which point people would have likely forgotten there was an issue in the first place.
Demonstrative Ti
People often perceive the ILI to be a source of intellect and profound insight, given to forming a clear, structured understanding of phenomena. However, although the ILI readily grapples with theories, philosophies and ideologies, they do so with a natural scepticism. For the ILI, grand theories that neatly explain everything should be distrusted, with their analytical rigour easily dismantling such ideas, keeping only what stands up to their scrutiny. After undermining the logical integrity of a theory, the ILI is unlikely to offer a complete structure in its place, preferring to piece together only what works when building their oasis of understanding in a general landscape of doubt.

Marxism has its own critique of growth, which connects to capital’s compulsion to grow—think of concepts such as surplus value, accumulation, formal and real subsumption, expanded reproduction, and imperialism—all concepts of growth. Economically, capital is dependent on surplus value generation—the basic and most essential form of growth under capitalism—without which there can be no interest payments on loans, no rental payments, no profits, and hence no investment, hence crisis. Moreover, the stabilisation of social conflicts under capitalism requires a growth that goes beyond capitalists’ requirements: there must be a taxable or otherwise redistributable surplus to pay for police and courts, and welfare and wage rises to otherwise restive workers. But this only amounts to a critique of capitalist growth and how growth is leveraged to secure capitalist hegemony.
From an ecological perspective, degrowth is much more radical. It stresses that compound economic growth, often considered in terms of ecological economics as material and energy throughput, is ecologically destructive and unsustainable, also when managed on a non-capitalist basis. Thus, degrowthers have done impressive amounts of work establishing the possibility and desirability of non-growth economics and modes of life. You can see why degrowth becomes a reference point for many Marxists and communists who take the ecosystem crisis seriously. In fact, we may question if there can be any renewal of communism, which does not build on the problematic of degrowth (i.e. the ecological critique of growth and the question of post-growth economics and modes of life).
Conversely, Marxism and communism have important things to contribute to degrowth. Degrowth tends to speak in a straightforwardly normative register, stressing the different socio-economic arrangements that are necessary and desirable to end the destruction of climate and ecosystems. But while it is true that a phase-out of growth is necessary, and that it is desirable that it is managed and planned, this does not prove that an orderly phase-out of growth is possible. Given capitalism’s dependence on growth, it is hard to imagine any absence of growth, including degrowth, which will not be highly tumultuous and conflictual. And while scientific necessity has clearly inspired many people to direct action, and has fostered experiments with sustainability, it is very far from moving a decisive number of people. Here a core lesson of communist politics is that broad social transformations from below are unlikely except where people’s faith in and reliance on the status quo are shaken, and they become open to reimagining survival and who they are in the world. Another lesson is that as long as growth means jobs, wages, livelihoods, welfare, social peace and the promise of progress for vast numbers of people, it will remain a beacon of hope or nostalgia. Except, that is, if the absence of growth is accompanied by deep transformations of economic relations, from expropriations of wealth of the rich, to the socialization of housing, land, utilities, and core factories. In short, it seems degrowth is unlikely to get mass support without communist measures.

SIGNIFICANCE OF SATURN AND MOON IN SECOND HOUSE AS PER VEDIC ASTROLOGY
In Vedic astrology, the placement of planets in specific houses of the birth chart carries profound significance. Saturn and the Moon together in the second house bring a complex interplay of energies, influencing aspects like wealth, speech, family, and values, which are governed by the second house. Below is an exploration of this placement's astrological implications:
The Second House in Vedic Astrology
The second house, also known as Dhana Bhava, represents:
1. Wealth and Finances: This house governs material possessions, income, savings, and financial stability.
2. Speech and Communication: It relates to one’s way of speaking, tone, and choice of words.
3. Family and Lineage: The second house highlights family dynamics, inherited values, and familial bonds.
4. Self-Worth and Values: It reflects one’s sense of self-esteem and ethical principles.
When Saturn and the Moon occupy this house, their respective energies merge, resulting in both challenges and opportunities.
Saturn in the Second House
Saturn, the planet of discipline, restriction, and karma, is a slow-moving and serious energy. Its placement in the second house influences:
1. Financial Discipline: Saturn promotes cautious and structured financial habits, encouraging long-term savings and planning. However, its restrictive nature may delay financial gains or create struggles in early life.
2. Speech and Communication: Saturn in the second house can make one reserved in speech, cautious with words, or prone to speaking bluntly. It may also create speech-related issues such as stuttering or hesitation.
3. Family and Responsibilities: This placement may indicate a sense of duty or burdens within the family. The native may have to take on familial responsibilities at an early age.
4. Material Challenges: Saturn may create delays in accumulating wealth, but perseverance and disciplined effort can lead to eventual financial stability.
Moon in the Second House
The Moon governs emotions, mind, and nurturing instincts. In the second house, it influences:
1. Emotional Connection to Wealth: The native’s emotional state is closely tied to financial security. Fluctuations in mood may mirror financial ups and downs.
2. Soothing Speech: The Moon in the second house often grants a soft, nurturing, or persuasive speaking style, appealing to others’ emotions.
3. Family Dynamics: The Moon brings emotional warmth to family relationships but can also lead to dependency or moodiness within familial contexts.
4. Material Instability: The Moon's wavering nature may cause financial volatility or an inconsistent approach to managing wealth.
Combined Influence of Saturn and the Moon in the Second House
The conjunction of Saturn and the Moon in the second house blends two opposing energies—Saturn’s austerity and stability with the Moon’s emotionality and changeability. This union creates a unique dynamic:
1. Emotional Discipline
Saturn’s presence stabilizes the Moon’s fluctuating emotional energy, potentially making the native more emotionally resilient and pragmatic.
However, the conjunction may create internal emotional conflicts, leading to feelings of insecurity, self-doubt, or emotional detachment.
2. Delayed Wealth and Financial Stability
Saturn may delay material gains, while the Moon introduces financial fluctuations. Together, they indicate that financial stability may come later in life, often after significant effort and persistence.
The native may face challenges in early life regarding savings and income but can achieve long-term financial success through disciplined planning and emotional maturity.
3. Speech and Communication
Speech may be reserved and deliberate due to Saturn, while the Moon adds a subtle emotional undertone. This combination may lead to a serious, impactful way of speaking that conveys depth and sincerity.
In challenging aspects, this conjunction can cause a lack of confidence in speech or occasional misunderstandings.
4. Family and Values
Family dynamics may be marked by a sense of responsibility and duty. The native might face challenges or emotional distance within the family, possibly due to Saturn’s restrictive influence.
Over time, this combination can lead to the development of strong values and a deep appreciation for family ties, albeit after overcoming initial struggles.
Karmic Implications
This conjunction often carries karmic lessons related to finances, speech, and emotional security. The native is encouraged to:
1. Cultivate patience and persistence in material and familial matters.
2. Balance emotional vulnerability with practical discipline.
3. Develop a mindful approach to wealth, avoiding extremes of emotional spending or excessive frugality.
Saturn and the Moon in the second house represent a journey of growth and self-mastery. While early life may present challenges in wealth, family, and emotional stability, this placement rewards perseverance and emotional discipline. Through maturity and conscious effort, the native can achieve significant financial and emotional security, along with a profound understanding of their values and responsibilities.

Managing Wealth and Inheritance: Estate and Trust Administration Attorneys
Wealth management and estate planning are vital to preserving and growing your family's legacy. As individuals accumulate assets over time, it becomes essential to consider how those assets will be managed and passed on to future generations. Estate and trust administration attorneys play a pivotal role in this process by offering expert legal guidance. In this blog, we’ll explore the importance of estate and trust administration, the responsibilities of attorneys in these areas, and how they can help you protect your wealth and legacy for the long term.
Understanding Estate and Trust Administration
Estate administration refers to managing and distributing a person's assets after they pass away. This includes ensuring that debts are paid, taxes are filed, and remaining assets are transferred to beneficiaries by the deceased's will or applicable state law if there is no will. The process can be complex, especially if there are significant assets or if disputes arise among heirs.
Trust administration, on the other hand, involves managing the assets held within a trust according to the terms set out in the trust document. Trusts are often used as a tool to minimize estate taxes, avoid probate, and provide a structured distribution of assets over time. Trusts can be beneficial in cases where the grantor wants to ensure that beneficiaries, such as young children or those with special needs, receive ongoing financial support.
The Role of Estate and Trust Administration Attorneys
An estate attorney and trust administration attorney is a legal professional who specializes in helping clients manage and distribute their assets efficiently and according to their wishes. These attorneys play several critical roles throughout the process, including:
Legal Guidance and Compliance: Estate and trust laws can be intricate, and they often vary by jurisdiction. An experienced attorney ensures that all legal requirements are met and that the estate or trust complies with state and federal laws. This includes filing necessary paperwork, handling tax issues, and ensuring the terms of the will or trust are carried out correctly.
Asset Management and Distribution: One of the primary responsibilities of an estate and trust administration attorney is to oversee the proper distribution of assets. This can involve coordinating with financial institutions, ensuring that creditors are paid, and ensuring beneficiaries receive their inheritance as intended.
Probate Avoidance and Minimizing Tax Liability: Probate, the legal process of validating a will and distributing assets, can be lengthy, expensive, and stressful for families. Estate and trust administration attorneys can help design strategies to minimize or avoid probate altogether. Additionally, they provide valuable advice on reducing estate taxes, preserving wealth for beneficiaries.
Dispute Resolution: Unfortunately, disputes can arise during estate and trust administration, whether between heirs or regarding the validity of a will or trust. Attorneys act as mediators and legal advocates, working to resolve conflicts and ensure a fair outcome for all parties involved.
Trustee Support and Guidance: For individuals named as trustees (those responsible for managing the trust), the role can be daunting, as they have fiduciary duties to the beneficiaries. A trust administration attorney helps trustees navigate their responsibilities, from managing assets to making distributions and ensures they fulfill their obligations according to the terms of the trust.
Why You Need an Estate and Trust Administration Attorney
While it may be tempting to manage estate and trust administration on your own, especially for smaller estates, the potential pitfalls of doing so without professional guidance are numerous. Here’s why having an attorney by your side is crucial:
Complex Legal Framework: Estate and trust laws are complex and constantly evolving. Understanding the intricacies of probate, taxes, and legal obligations can be overwhelming for someone without legal training. An attorney ensures that every detail is addressed, reducing the risk of mistakes that could delay the process or lead to legal issues down the road.
Time and Stress Reduction: Managing an estate or trust is time-consuming and emotionally taxing, particularly for family members grieving the loss of a loved one. By hiring an attorney, you can delegate much of the administrative work, allowing you to focus on supporting your family during a difficult time.
Avoiding Costly Errors: Mishandling estate or trust administration can result in costly penalties, tax issues, or even lawsuits from disgruntled beneficiaries. An attorney ensures that every step of the process is completed correctly and efficiently, minimizing the risk of expensive errors.
Expert Tax Advice: Estate taxes, inheritance taxes, and capital gains taxes can quickly erode the value of an estate. Estate and trust administration attorneys are well-versed in tax laws and can help structure the estate in a way that minimizes tax liabilities and preserves as much wealth as possible for the beneficiaries.
Safeguarding Beneficiaries' Interests: One of the most important roles of an attorney is to ensure that the wishes of the deceased are honored and that the beneficiaries' interests are protected. Whether by defending the validity of a will in court or ensuring that the trustee follows the terms of the trust, an attorney acts as a guardian of the estate plan’s integrity.
Key Considerations When Choosing an Estate and Trust Administration Attorney
When selecting an attorney to assist with estate and trust administration, it’s important to consider a few key factors:
Experience and Expertise: Look for an attorney who specializes in estate and trust law and has a proven track record in handling cases similar to yours. Experience is especially crucial if the estate is large, complex, or involves high-value assets.
Communication and Transparency: A good attorney will keep you informed throughout the process and provide clear explanations of each step. Make sure you choose someone who is accessible and responsive to your needs.
Fee Structure: Estate and trust administration attorneys typically charge either a flat fee, hourly rate, or a percentage of the estate’s value. It’s important to understand the attorney’s fee structure upfront and ensure it aligns with your budget.
Conclusion
Managing wealth and inheritance through estate and trust administration can be a daunting task, but with the right attorney by your side, the process becomes much more manageable. Estate and trust administration attorneys offer invaluable expertise in navigating the complex legal landscape, ensuring that your assets are protected and distributed according to your wishes. By working with a skilled attorney, you can safeguard your family’s future and leave behind a lasting legacy that reflects your values and intentions.

honestly i agree about going for money in life cause rich ppl get to do so much but us average folk are like too average to have a lavish lifestyle as theirs. heck id even do music if i had any talent not just for money but the things these groups get to do nowadays versus what life was like before social media came about is a huge difference. sometimes its just a matter of being either too old or not young enough to do something like that nowadays as most music groups seem to sadly be getting younger and younger, i also feel like for those who have actual talent honestly id just go for it but theres always smth like age or different circumatances or perhaps not getting the right opportunities either or being somewhat limited in options. i do think life gets to a point where theres fewer options the older you are as its best to learn from a young age in order to succeed and gain that money. idk these are just my opinions you can disagree if you want.
so many folk fretting about fs and whatnot when they really never tried being single like theres not much responsibility besides whoever else is in your life and again honestly i do not think it matters if we do or dont date an fs. i think people were fretting about jungkooks fs so much lately bc they didnt want to be single or wanted jk for themselves and even if idols do date it would never make their fans happy for their idols which is sad
the fact its even called a dating scandal in korea shows how narrow minded it still is like what do people expect idols to be doing? dating rocks? no one? but i also think there would be some uproar regardless bc of who they are or their title as idols. like they can date a normal non idol but their fans still going to be upset that it isnt themselves. ahh well they cant win :( hence why in a way im glad im not an idols fs lol thered still be many cons or in general consequences. i do think idols are a bit more open minded in terms of other cultures and what they might want in their fs but their fans should accept its just never going to be them
sorry for my rambling and sorry for your loss too hope u feel better soon <3 ^^
Hello! So, I don't remember when I said "going for rich people is a good plan" or whatever but I mean there's points to both sides. To accumulate that wealth you need to be willing to put the hard work in, even if you marry into it. If you're a child of a wealthy family, you need to put in the work to maintain that wealth and legacy. It's a chain of hard work - I personally think you can do anything whether you're old, young, etc. It's just a matter of your mindset and how much work you're willing to put in! These days, it's mainly more about the connections you have and the hard work you put in. Social media can make you famous/popular, but it cannot single-handedly generate millions unless your life goal is to be an influencer doing TikTok dances 5 times a day for a living. I think learning certain skills (e.g. budgeting) are important and can help you establish that wealth earlier on, but you can always teach yourself. I have no prior experience owning a business, but the skills I learned throughout daily tasks over the course of my life have helped me to reach a point where an idea is starting to blossom into an actual product. And I agree, being single gives you more time to work on yourself to allow people to enter your life without the situation feeling forced. You get to become more comfortable with yourself, you make life-long connections/friendships, you develop hobbies, stories to tell your future friends, etc. It's a time to establish yourself and experience personal growth when you're single, not stress over finding a new relationship!! I think each relationship, friendship, etc brings a life lesson alongside it - so it doesn't matter whether that person is the person you intend to marry or not. Just enjoy the present without panicking about the future, that's the best advice I can think to tell everyone as well as my past self <33 It is quite sad, a lot of idols seem lonely. Jackson Wang is a prime example of this, he's expressed this loneliness a lot. Idols have the right to be happy without their "fans" criticising them for wanting a future where they have a family or just aren't dancing on stage anymore. That is quite narrow-minded, I think it'd be better if netizens and delusional international fans took a break from Kpop content for a month and got some hobbies, worked on themselves and enjoyed life for a bit. To an extent, I do pity some idols FS that I read for. They seem very closed off/introverted and would not do well if the relationship were to get leaked to the media, especially if their information is also leaked and they are a non-idol. I just hope they will be alright and fans will be more accepting sooner or later ! Idols ideal types may not always be the kind of people they'll marry - but they do definitely know what they like in a person. Fans do need to accept that the most likely case is that it is not them! However, the industry thrives off of parasocial relationships. It's fine, no worries! This discussion has certainly been interesting, feel free to respond to this via another ask if you would like to. And thank you so much :] <3

Carolina Guerreno: The Role of Financial Planning in Achieving Long-Term Goals
In a world characterized by constant change and economic unpredictability, financial planning is not just a luxury—it’s a necessity. Carolina Guerreno emphasizes that financial planning is the cornerstone of financial security and success, guiding individuals and families toward achieving their long-term goals. Whether it's buying a home, saving for retirement, funding education, or leaving a legacy for future generations, having a solid financial plan is essential for turning aspirations into reality.
What is Financial Planning?
Carolina Guerreno defines financial planning as a comprehensive process that helps individuals manage their finances to meet life goals. It involves evaluating your current financial situation, identifying your financial goals, and devising strategies to achieve them. A well-crafted financial plan typically addresses several key areas, including:
Budgeting and cash flow management
Debt management
Savings and investment strategies
Retirement planning
Tax planning
Estate planning
The foundation of financial planning, according to Carolina Guerreno, is understanding where you stand today and what you want to accomplish in the future. This long-term perspective enables individuals to make informed decisions about their money and to proactively address potential challenges.
Why is Financial Planning Crucial for Achieving Long-Term Goals?
1. Provides Clarity and Direction Carolina Guerreno highlights that financial planning offers clarity about your current financial situation and provides a roadmap for reaching your long-term goals. It helps prioritize financial decisions based on what matters most to you. Without a plan, it's easy to become overwhelmed or lose focus, making it harder to achieve your objectives.
2. Builds Financial Discipline A financial plan instills discipline in saving, spending, and investing. Carolina Guerreno notes that it encourages individuals to avoid impulse purchases, manage debt responsibly, and consistently save toward future goals. Developing a habit of regularly contributing to savings and investments can compound over time, resulting in significant long-term wealth accumulation.
3. Manages Risk Risk is an inherent part of life and finance, whether it’s the risk of job loss, market downturns, or unexpected health expenses. Carolina Guerreno stresses that a sound financial plan includes strategies for mitigating these risks, such as creating an emergency fund, purchasing insurance, or diversifying investments. Planning helps individuals weather financial storms without derailing long-term goals.
4. Maximizes Wealth Potential Investment is a crucial component of financial planning. Through careful allocation of resources and intelligent investment strategies, individuals can grow their wealth over time. Carolina Guerreno emphasizes that a financial plan provides the framework to invest in a way that aligns with your risk tolerance, time horizon, and objectives. It also considers tax-efficient strategies, ensuring that individuals keep more of what they earn.
5. Prepares for Retirement One of the most common long-term financial goals is saving for retirement. Carolina Guerreno believes financial planning enables individuals to estimate how much they will need to retire comfortably and outlines strategies for achieving that target. Starting early with a retirement plan allows for the benefit of compound interest and makes it easier to adjust for any potential shortfalls.
6. Facilitates Generational Wealth and Legacy Planning For many, long-term financial planning includes passing on wealth to the next generation or supporting charitable causes. Carolina Guerreno asserts that proper estate planning, which is part of comprehensive financial planning, ensures that your assets are distributed according to your wishes and in a tax-efficient manner. This planning can have lasting impacts on your family and the causes you care about.
Financial Planning in a Changing Economic Environment
Carolina Guerreno reminds us that the economy is constantly evolving, and financial plans must adapt accordingly. Rising interest rates, inflation, market volatility, and changes in tax policies are just a few factors that can affect financial strategies. A proactive financial plan includes regular reviews and adjustments to remain aligned with long-term goals despite external changes.
In addition, technological advancements have made financial planning more accessible than ever before. Carolina Guerreno recognizes that automated budgeting tools, robo-advisors, and financial apps enable individuals to track their progress and make informed decisions in real time. However, working with a certified financial planner or advisor remains invaluable, as they can offer personalized advice, help navigate complex financial landscapes, and provide accountability.
Conclusion
Achieving long-term financial goals requires a clear vision, thoughtful planning, and ongoing commitment. Carolina Guerreno emphasizes that financial planning empowers individuals to take control of their financial future, manage risk, and maximize wealth. With a solid financial plan in place, the road to financial success becomes clearer, more manageable, and more achievable.
For anyone seeking to secure their financial future, Carolina Guerreno believes investing in financial planning is not just a smart choice—it’s essential.
