and we also visited the historical bookshop, 'Gay's the Word' with a blue plaque for Mark Ashton above it too, it has an incredible collection of queer books!!!!!
there was a huge NHS balloon!!
we only saw two homophobic protests, both related to Christianity, but there was also a Christian group marching in the parade as well:
and my personal favourite, someone who was well prepared for the homophobic bible bashing:
the arrow was pointing to some people reading from a bible next to them
and to finish, a beautiful photo of the big ben tower in the distance above the march!!
I went to London pride today and it was so much fun!!!
We made a (I think) friend! They were aroace and neurodivergent which was very cool and they gave me a bracelet
We were not able to find out their name or pronouns before they left :(
this is both an appreciation post for pride (it was very good and I felt very loved (someone even gave me a hug)) but it's also to see if I'm able to find this person again because they were cool
i saw london 2024 belle and was IMMEDIATELY in love and i Needed to add her to my canon. i can have 5 coaches thats fine. took some artistic liberties (but dont i always) in order to make her fit in with the rest of my designs better and also. to maybe make her look more like a sleeping car hahahahahaha
i think her and rusty have a sibling-esque relationship. in my canon she would race with rusty in heat 2 (where they lose to electra. whoops!)
was at london trans+ pride today and saw a sign that i think is my favourite from the whole day
also saw a bunch of really cute dogs but didn’t get any photos :(
anyway this is me and my sign (photo courtesy of my dad (does this count as a face reveal?))
today was really fun, it was so nice to be surrounded by trans love and joy, and despite there being a tommy robinson march, we didn’t run into any fascist assholes which is obviously always an upside
Stephen Kapos, who attended the march for Gaza in London, was 7 y.o. when he and his family survived the Holocaust in Hungary in 1944.
“Its criminal that the Israeli government exploits the sufferings of the holocaust to justify the present massacres,” he said.
“The UK government should stop facilitating this holocaust, in Gaza, and that by withdrawing funding from Unrwa, they are in effect, participating in this holocaust,” Kapos added.
This one's a spin-off to one of my favorite series "Magic in Manhattan" and it really doesn't disappoint.
Again we get my beloved grumpy and sunshine trope, as we follow the story of Wesley and Sebastian. There's also a trace of enemies to lovers there, if that's your cup of tea.
The story serves a lot of magic and romance.
All of this is set in 1925. This time not in New York though. We start in London and from there we travel a bit around England and even end up in Paris.
But no spoilers here. If you want a bit of magic, mystery and romance in your life, just read Proper Scoundrels yourself.
man!!!! Look at all of these 3 costume concepts and my 2nd one should be performed by me !!! Now time to put these 3 to ubisoft Milan to see how they like it!!!
i want to go to the lgsm 40th anniversary, but i don't live in london, i don't know anybody in rl who would go with me and i don't trust strangers on the internet what do i do😭😭
