no greater power outside of urself actually exists - and dont come for me cuz this is just my opinion and my own assumption but i dont think that any power outside of myself exists. so im not religious and i dont rly buy into the whole "ask the universe" type of things bcuz whatever i assume to be true is true and im the deciding factor in everything. if i assume that greater powers exist then they exist etc.

manifestation techniques are overrated - all you have to do to manifest is affirm -> persist. thats essentially all you have to do and when i first started i was so caught up in techniques and routines that i wasn't even affirming/persisting. i was doing anything and everything and i saw manifestation as a process and manifestation is NOT a process. when i shifted that and realized that manifesting is instant and all techniques are for funsies, the pressure was taken off.

impossible simply does not exist - the very concept of impossible is impossible cuz u wouldn't be able to conceptualize it if it wasn't possible. the fact that u can think it is proof that it is possible. stop classifying ur desires as impossible cuz ur only limiting urself.

ditch logic - manifestation is NOT logical. logic is literally a man made concept and u rly start to have doubts and negative assumptions when u accept logic as truth. leave logic OUT of manifestation and literally just manifest it.

stop looking for proof - there are so many skeptics about the loa but there are even more ppl who actually apply the law and manifest whatever they want. and its one thing to consume loa success stories on the internet but you need to prove it to YOURSELF. and the only way to do that is to apply.

So this unfamiliar Danny, who recognized non of them, doesn't exactly surprise him.

It's more than ten years since they lost Phantom- the original one from this world. To think the kid would stay unchanged after all this time is just delusional.

Time is ruthless in it's flow, he knows that well. Ten years back he might throw a fit over the unfair amount of chances given to the kid, but now? He had learned to understand clockwork's cruel kindness much better. They are still here simply because the Realms aren't done with them.

Still... The blood on this new Danny's hands, the company he kept and the things he did- does, it feels like himself looking back from a mirror.

Huh. Maybe there is a reason the Observers are so hell bend on destroying the kid for his crimes, all those years back then. Maybe this darkness does belong more to Phantom than anyone else.

Although he has to be fair, the kid isn't nearly as far gone as he once was. Figures, that the stubborn kid managed to keep that disgusting compassion of his even in this little villain arc.

[in this AU a reformed Dan stepped up as Phantom after Danny's tragic disappearance when he's about 17, then ten years later Dan ran into amnesiac assassin Danny hanging out with the League of Assassins.

Danny's old classmates and friends would be at least 27 by this point, Dan at least 37 and is probably older than Bruce. Danny however still looks like he's 17, because magic.

Here all the DP canon ended before Batman's first appearance, much less the JL's formation. Dan's Phantom never really joined the JL, but he is there since the beginning and is considered an ally. Usually.

Danny isn't really here, but since the ending of Little Prayers and later his stay in the LoA... He is more like Dan than his old self. Our boy is Messed Up.]

my shifting/loa advice as someone who has been quite successful in both of those areas.

if you are a newer member to either of these communities, its natural that you want information on how to do different methods, natural that you want to be interactive in the community etc.. but my biggest advice to you is to stop consuming so many different methods and ideologies. all things shifting and loa all depend on your personal practice/method and what works for you. what happens when you absorb so many different things is that you start thinking that you have to do a million and one things when what you want to gain is relatively simple, for example manifestation or simply shifting. individuality really changes the game when it comes to these things. one thing that helped me realize that is the fact that all the creators/ppl i looked up too all hand crafted their own methods through their own trial and error and their preferences and what works for them. ofc methods help but all things rituals, manifestation, spirituality and so on are most potent and powerful when it's something organic by yourself. stop doubting yourself and stop asking so many questions and just do whatever it is you want to do when it comes to how you want to go about your practices and do it all for your own sake

⊹ It is okay to react to the 3d.

This might be controversial, but I often hear people say not to react to the 3d.

While it's better to just not react to the 3d, it might be harder to some, especially beginners.

We are humans. Reaction is a normal thing. It is how our body responds to stimulus or events.

It is important to let yourself feel your emotions. Discarding them can be harmful and lead to depression (in very extreme cases!).

What matter isn't necessarily reaction, but it's more how quickly you get over the 3d. Let me explain.

You can let yourself react when the 3d doesn't immediately conform to your desires, but it's really important to not let those emotions/feelings linger for too long. The longer you let it linger, the harder it'll be to get out of that state. While it would be ideal to just not react at all, it isn't a necessity.

When you find yourself reacting, don't beat yourself up for it. Just tell yourself that this is a glitch and you already have what you desire.

I hope that makes sense and, as always, it's just an opinion!

ok, this is just a small pet peeve of mine cuz im lwk a petty ahh beach. so for context, i have some hearing problems due to how often i listen to loud music. the amount of times my ears have been blocked or i've heard ringing in them is insane... my mom doesn't really care abt it, so im trying my best to solve it on my own.

basically, i looked up "hearing subliminals" since i couldn't go to a medical professional. that's when i found this "tinnitus frequency" thingy. while i wouldn't call what i have tinnitus, i think it also promoted ear health. the comments talked abt how well it was working so i started listening. however, while i did so, i just thought abt checking the description. imagine my surprise when i saw "oh actually, u need to use earphones for this subliminal for it to work!!" i was pissed off to say the least. I specifically stopped using earphones bcuz of how much WORSE my hearing was getting when using them.

first of all, it's just annoying cuz ur telling ME how to make this subliminal "work". it's implying that if i don't do this thing, then it won't work at all. that is incredibly frustrating!! but most importantly, i find it kind of limiting?? it's like, what purpose does this serve?? think abt it: ur mind/subconscious controls everything, meaning u choose how a subliminal affects u n shi. adding these "requirements" is promoting the limiting belief that u need to do something to receive ur 3d results.

im ok with ppl RECOMMENDING a certain method, bcuz that means that it's optional and u don't NEED to do anything. another thing im wondering is r they putting affirmations that specifically stop u from using the subliminal without that requirement? like, im the creator of my reality, so i don't need to listen to those rules? but if they're putting affirmations there, ur subconscious is gonna be incredibly confused and it would lwk be better to not listen in the first place...but i'll admit most ppl probably don't do that.

i also noticed that the same ppl that do this r the same ppl that make u pay for certain manifestation methods. hot take: they might aid u, but ur mind does all the work. this is one of the few things i agree with when it comes to ANTI-LOA: that there's a serious problem with ppl spending their money on "special" and personal manifestation methods or affirmations or classes or whatever the fuk. methods shouldn't be held behind a pay wall!!

The few "requirements" im ok with r listen once and requirements that don't cost money or make u struggle (like those fukin headphones!!)

in conclusion: "u need to listen this subliminal while-" no. "u need to pay money for this manifestation method that will fix all ur problems-" STFUU!! both of them r just preying on desperate inexperienced ppl and actually holding u back!! while u can listen to subliminals, ur mind is what is doing all the work. don't fall for the belief that u have to work for ur manifestations!!

The Tragedy that is the Vanserra family

*I just want to preface this by saying that I’m well aware that this might be a controversial opinion. My issue is simply with how that particular pairing was written, because clearly not a lot of thought was put into it when SJM changed canon to fit this pairing in. This was also not written with the intention of victim blaming. Only that this plot genuinely sucks ass because it makes everyone out as uglier than need be.

For such minor characters (sans Lucien, and Eris to an extent), the dynamics SJM has blessed us with paints such an interesting family coated in absolute tragedy. It also doesn’t help that almost all of it was seen through Feyre’s pov—who’s not exactly reliable nor capable of introspection most times.

All we know so far of Beron and his relationship with his children amounts to:

Aside from Helion and Rhysand, Beron’s the only HL that was active during the war 500 years ago.

He abuses his wife, though when it started is still ???

He routinely tortures Eris, and more than likely all his remaining children

He LOATHES Lucien

And it’s so easy to paint Beron as this needlessly cruel, manipulative 2D bastard who only exists to cause pain and carnage over everyone that breathes near him. The male tortures his children and sentenced one of them to death for falling in love with someone ‘lesser’—that alone makes him the worst male to come out of acotar by a landslide.

But there’s an art to Beron’s cruelty that SJM could have fun with. Routinely siccing and manipulating his children against each other, forever ensuring that they’d be too busy fighting and hating each other over him so that they’d be unable to overthrow him. And maybe he does have his reasons. Maybe he thinks that this is the only way possible to raise an heir that would be ruthless and merciless enough to overthrow him and destroy his competitors—probably the same thing Beron did to claim his throne. And if the children are too busy with each other to go after him…all the better.

Show them no compassion. Torture all the disobedience out of them to make them strong. Pit them against each other to please him. Heinous tactics, but evidently it works when Eris and Lucien are the results of it.

But this dynamic only works if that was who Beron is, and how he was raised to be. I don’t suppose we’ll ever really know, not unless a large chunk of Lucien’s future storyline revolves around his roots in Autumn. But knowing sjm and how dirty she did Spring, Lucien’s arc will be about Day.

But back to Beron and the LoA:

Curious how the LoA is still nameless, but SJM purposely and canonically provided a timeline to show how much of a poor victim the LoA is. I want to make it clear that I am not condoning the abuse the LoA is facing from Beron. I don’t think anyone deserves to be abused or tortured the way Berons does his family, nor will anything justify it.

However, I am side-eyeing the way she WROTE Helion and LoA’s affair. I think what she little she wrote yet specifically gave painted them both as absolute fucking morons.

Canonically, we have no idea if Beron knows without doubt that Lucien isn’t his. Hell, we have no proof that he even knew about Helion at all; only that Helion certainly believes so, and what Feyre perceives as the truth. And that truth is ugly.

My opinion is that for the story to work, Beron can’t have known about Helion specifically. An affair perhaps, but not specifically who. Why? Because I wouldn’t doubt Beron would have killed Helion for it the moment he found out. Helion wasn’t High Lord until <50 years pre-Acotar. If Beron wanted Helion dead for having an affair with his wife, I doubt even the previous HL would have stopped Beron from lobbing of Helion’s head. Now assuming Beron knew about the affair specifically, but not about Lucien, I can see canon coming to fruition.

The only issue is Lucien’s features. He needs to look very, very similar to the LoA and not at all Helion. If Beron knew it was Helion, he’d be paying double attention on Lucien’s features to see who sired him. But say he doesn’t care who did it, only that it did. Lucien was screwed from the getgo as a possible affair baby. But that’s hardly the biggest issue with how the affair was written.

According to Helion’s recount of his affair, it started during the war when he rescued the LoA. Sure, rumor has it they met before her marriage, but it wasn’t until then that it became an actual affair. And it lasted decades. We don’t know how old Lucien is. Most have guessed that he can’t be older than ~400 at series starts. Following the timeline provided by Helion, there’s about 130 years age gap between Eris and Lucien, and five sons between. The LoA had at least two more kids born before the war started, leaving three sans Lucien to be born after.

See where I’m going with this?

If the affair only ended because Beron found out, preferably before Lucien was born or he’d be dead at birth, then on-off or no, that affair lasted a century. My question is: did Beron begin tormenting his wife before or after he found out about the affair? And was he already torturing his children before he found out, or was that punishment for what their mother did?

If Beron only began abusing and assaulting the LoA after Helion, then there’s a chance he only started hurting his sons around that time too. It also begs the question on whether or not Helion sired more than one Vanserra child. Even if the answer was no, it’s not like Beron would believe the LoA. Not after she cuckolded him. So he hurts her as punishment, doubling that pain by going after all their children too.

Lucien especially, for being mama’s favorite. I doubt Beron ever had to do much to encourage the torment Lucien faced from his brothers. He never had to; she did it to him all on her own by loving him best. And in a household where everything is a competition and love a weakness, Lucien was weakest by being the most loved. Oh, how they must’ve loathed him for it. His birth was the reason their lives became a living hell. A mother that perhaps loved them, but not enough if she outright favored the youngest, knowing his existence was their punishment.

But that’s the kinder story, if you can believe it. A female who was never happy, who found happiness outside her wedded husband, and was punished for it terribly. Her cold husband turned cruel bastard, who punished her for the crime of finding joy outside of him and their children. She didn’t know this was going to be her future.

Yet, the alternative is so much worse.

Because it implies that Beron already was a cruel and abusive bastard, who already hurt his wife and children immensely, and the LoA went and had an affair anyway. I can’t blame her for wanting to escape from Beron. Perhaps she was actually happy with Helion. But she did it knowing that the punishment would be so much worse if Beron found out, and he did.

Helion couldn’t have protected her. Claiming Lucien as his son would’ve been a death sentence to both from Beron’s wrath. And with a century long affair, there was no proof that Lucien was the only one that wasn’t Beron’s child. Not unless most of the Vanserras look like their father more, and we don’t even know that because they have no names or features described. And even then, the LoA was lucky that Lucien’s skin tone and features favored her instead.

I don’t care that a woman cheated on her abusive husband repeatedly. You do you, and all that. I care that the LoA is written as knowing what an absolute monster her husband already was to their living children, and clearly not thinking of what he’d do to them if she’s caught. This is Beron—he could’ve killed all their children as punishment. The man tortures his son bloody—I wouldn’t put it past him to kill them all and start fresh. She put them in so much danger by having Lucien.

I don’t like the way Helion knows what a bastard Beron is, yet not caring when he had a century long affair with a HL’s wife, knowing that she might be killed if found out. And he would be powerless to stop it.

I don’t like how neither of them even considered that she might’ve gotten pregnant from their affair, especially knowing that the LoA already had SIX CHILDREN.

I hate how their affair is going to be spun into some kind of romance of the ages, mates who were forcibly separated by a monster, when in reality it’s more like the love story of two morons who didn’t spare a single braincell to actually think before going back to each other often enough to have a whole ass CHILD.

Jfc, SJM definitely didn’t think through enough when she decided to add this into the story. Too many plot holes, and not enough sense to justify the absolute stupidity of cuckolding a High Lord with someone who couldn’t even protect her if they were caught. She wanted drama but spared no thought to logic, per usual.

Respect other people's beliefs too. Debating about what method is the best is literally waste of time. Like, who cares about what method is best??? Many people are blogging, coaching about loa to help people know that they can get their desires very easily than how it seems. Don't complicate manifesting and create "new methods" Saying that "it boosts" Your manifestations. 😑😑 you create the rules. No one can restrict you! You can create a rule by saying that "I will get my desires drastically whenever I blink my eyes" And it will happen because you created that rule!!

Lemme say you something... We can do anything in our damn reality. Get anything what we want by doing literally NOTHING. You can drastically, totally change your reality within a second! There is no such thing called "new". Nothing is new until you assume its new.

You create every shit. Just do your business, do any method which works for you, AND DO NOT HATE/JUDGE OTHER PEOPLE'S OPINIONS/BELIEFS UNTIL IT IS SOMETHING OFFENSIVE/INAPPROPRIATE.

I think one thing I've learned from doing this and being on here for so long is that life is all about showing how u care for yourself and others and just having fun without having worries about others who don't matter.

Literally, when I only pay attention to what's needed to and valued by me , I love life more than anything rather when I did even a few months back.

Life is what you make it literally, and what life is to me is to focus on what makes me happy and is important rather than worries and unvalued things. I really hope everyone can find peace with themselves and life.

Anyway I'm saying all this doesnt mean everything in my life is so great and perfect , everything has their flaws and downs but focusing on the upside is the most important rather than staying on the downside.

I feel as social media and life in general makes you think people are living better than you and their always happy and everything and makes you compare yourself to otherwise when you shouldnt feel like that and you should feel content where you are. Everything could be better or worse so appreciate what you have and where you are , nothing in this life is more important than how you are and how you effect everything surrounding you.

But remember, negativity comes from the mind and doesn't help anyone!!

Then explain Tamlin & Rhys's parents.

Rhys's father was an asshole. He still received a wonderful, kind woman as a mate. Their relationship was not based on love, it was a mating bond where in Rhys's own words, they "tried to make it work".

Why did such an awful man get a mate?

Does this mean Rhys's mother didn't deserve better? Does this mean she deserved a cold-hearted man who only accepted her Illyrian heritage because she was his mate?

I want to make it clear that SJM placed that seed of doubt about mated pairs not always being perfect for another in a conversation discussing be Elucien mating bond.

That is damning foreshadowing.

SJM could've said Rhys's parents were in an arranged marriage. She could've said Tamlin's parents were simply husband and wife.

She made them mates.

And then told us - not all mates work out.

While discussing Elain & Lucien's mating bond - and questioning "Why not make them (Elain & Azriel) mates?"

This isn't just foreshadowing. This is in your face, how could it be MORE obvious than that
