Hi peach. I see that you’re doing therapy/life guidance sessions right now. Help.

I’m 18 and I go to a pretty world renowned uni. I finished 2 years of college in high school so now I only have like 2 years left of my undergrad (I just started in September). I want to go to med school. (I think). I’m applying to a bunch of volunteer and shadow programs and I just feel like I’m not enough. The people in my classes are insanely smart and snooty that they go to this school. We’re all going to med school and I just feel like they have the spot that I won’t. I’m having pretty bad imposter syndrome. I feel like I’m not doing enough. I always feel like I could be doing more. I’m in a spiral and I feel like I just don’t have enough time/im wasting time. I see my friends all having this crazy college experience with parties and stuff (keep in mind that I do not care about/like parties at all. ESPECIALLY frat ones). But it makes me feel like I’m also doing too MUCH and too little at the same time????? Idk. Losing sleep over this. Through Me helps (a lot 😊😊😊).

Fuck those people. Don’t compare yourself to them. You’re also trying to go med school, they just suck. You’re not an imposter, you’re working hard and chasing a goal. You have plenty of time.

I will say with your path… partying time is probably not a good idea right now. Maybe casually. Save that for when you get to residency, you’ll need the decompression time more than you know.

If you’re worried about competing for your spot (understandable):

Spend your time studying. Murder your tests. Someone might be snooty but at the end of the day… your ability to recall information you’ve been taught cannot be overlooked in exchange for someone who is a brat but also average.

Also… do your best to get internships and preferably clinic experience to boost you up. Use your summers. Volunteer. Get your BLS. ACLS. If you feel like you’re not the strongest student, build that experience.

Hey so it’s fair to be upset that Chappell cancelled last minute for that festival but people are taking everything way too personally. It’s not always about you! Cancellations and schedule changes are normal for tours & festivals. If you go to enough concerts, you learn that, sometimes the hard way. What’s not normal is taking it so extremely personally that u publicly crash out abt an artist that you claim to love. I know that If it was a storm or bomb threat, we would not be having this conversation, because proceeding with a show would’ve been harmful for both sides, but since it’s on HER terms & it’s abt HER mental health, people have decided she’s a devil that hates her fans. No grace given AT ALL. Y’all do not care about or respect that woman as a person. Y’all are the reason she had to cancel. She is NOT a show pony !!!! Fuck !!! Your parasocial dependencies are showing!!! Get a grip & grow up istg !!!

Tell me about your tattoos if you have them and or what tattoos you want

i have two tattoos, and i plan to get more!

i got the first one two days after my 18th birthday, i had been planning it forever. it's a memorial piece for my first dog Rocky. I got it on the outside of my thigh, very high up so most of it is covered when i wear shorts.

i covered up the bit with his face because i dont like to share it very much, im terrified of the idea of someone finding a picture of it and getting the exact same tattoo because that's my dog and he meant the world to me. i know its a bit of an irrational fear, and i dont worry about it with my other designs, but i try not to share it online fully, but heres a different picture of him!

the flowers underneath are red roses, lilies, and forget me nots, for their specific meanings

the next tattoo i got just a couple months ago for a 7 year friend-iversary

its based on several layers of inside jokes

my long-term tattoo goal is to fill out my leg like a sleeve made of individual tattoos. i also intend to design all of my own tattoos.

some other ones i have in mind for my next ones are - a ghost (i always draw sheet ghosts the same way) - the mystery machine from scooby doo - the irken invader symbol from invader zim - a swarm of bats (probably on my inner thigh) - moon phases - lavender (and amethyst?)

having any kind of slightly out of the normal health issue is fkn exhausting. I should not have to do pages and pages of research and experiment on myself to get treatment beyond “idk bad luck go to therapy maybe”
