This is my first time attempting to use Procreate so I opted for charcoals since I use them for life drawing. Getting the right combination of angry and worried was super difficult! But I’m very happy with where I ended up.

Tim time travels to just before Jason dies, and instead of being normal about it and explaining anything, he simply goes "Joker can't kidnap him if I kidnap him first!"

He just does one big miscalculation in his very quick masterplan, and that is him severely overestimating Jason's combativeness.

Tim might have given Jason a concussion.

...oh, well. Makes it easier to keep him in place, right?

Danny, now an adult, has just moved to the city of Gotham. Actually he’s been an adult for a while, but every once in a while he has to end his life, at least legally, lest someone get suspicious. Usually whenever Dan or Ellie does an oopsie and pulls a firebird with being reborn through their core. 

So legally, one Danyal Nightingale, has just moved to Gotham to open a bakery (Thank you for the wonderful recipes and bonding Clockwork) while taking care of his practically newborn son Jordan. Of course Elnath- Ellie- had to pull a core retreat too, which is just his luck. 

It wouldn’t be a problem, but he’s trying to not be so broody. A ghost- even a half-ghost- carrying another core though, has instincts turned up to like, eleven. Which again, wouldn’t be much of a problem if not for someone falling into his dumpster late at night bleeding. A vigilante, which he’s sworn to stay away from that life years ago. And it’s not a lethal wound…

But his instincts are screaming to not let the person bleed all around his nest, and he knows from experience that it would continue to bother him. Which is how he ends up with Batman on his couch to Dan’s glee if the ghost chirps are to go by.

Headcanon that Jason still sits like he's 4'11" He'll curl up on the couch, sit crisscross applesauce spoons in the bowl on the chair in the batcave, and he'll try to wedge himself into small corners when he's having a menty-b TLDR, Jason forgetting he's big

jason todd's sentient robot sidekick who won't take his bullshit when it comes to not admitting to being too sick or injured, or needing general help.

he's at home attempting to tend to a broken rib on top of several other minor injuries that add up, too busy to notice how the robot's snuck off to the manor, betraying him to request dick's assistance with the situation.

he's taken on a mission by himself that he definitely should have asked for backup on, and somehow this robot's at roy's doorstep and doesn't even have to explain the situation to him because it's standard practice at this point.

bonus points if it was roy who built the little shit in the first place, and programmed it specifically to retaliate these jason-isms.

bonus bonus points if it knows how to regenerate itself, and manages to come back from every increasingly violent attempt jason makes at getting it to stop.

of course he could just ask roy to dismantle the thing, but then he'd actually be admitting that he has issues, because after all it was only designed to 'help out when necessary'.

got visions of tiny jay and bruce posing for a first day of school picture and it's just:

jason with one hand on his hip, light up sketcher shoes in a wide stance, insanely neon and sparkly school bag on his back, sassy posture, bright gap-toothed smile, deep dimples, and his other hand holding up a peace sign to frame his right eye. meanwhile bruce is towering stock still behind him, arms by his side, face barely expressive, and wearing extremely dark clothes. they are complete contrasts and it is adorable.

What if… Insne Prince Danny but about a quadrillions years younger and also under care of Jason ?

Also clockwork as a distant but loving grandparent and the usual Observant ignorance (if Pariah ever found out that the observants 1) put Danny NOT in his room in the palace and 2) put him into a random mostly abandoned observatory with no one to look after him for years he would murder all of them no questions asked. Just a btw. Hehe :)
