had the consult for my gallbladder surgery. the doctor told me i need to "lose 10 - 15 pounds" before they'll perform the surgery on me, and that I would need to wait 2 - 3 months before they would schedule it. i told her i have PCOS which makes it difficult to lose weight. she told me that does happen, and offered to refer me to a bariatric surgeon who is used to bigger bodies who could perform the gallbladder removal instead. i asked her for the referral to them instead
i was very angry at her for this, as 10 - 15 pounds do not make any difference when you are 300 lbs. my weight fluctuates between 280 - 340 lbs depending greatly on what i've eaten, how much i exercise, and so on. this will also vary greatly depending on if the stone is blocking my gallbladder completely or partially- if it's fully blocking the neck of my gallbladder, i cannot get enough digestive juices into my stomach to properly digest my food, so i will begin violently vomiting to get the undigested food out, and to get bile flowing into my stomach again. i begin to lose tons of weight when this happens, and i put it back on during the periods where i can get enough bile in my stomach to properly digest my food.
i can't digest my food properly. eating "healthier" will not change this- i can't digest food at all, period. healthy or unhealthy, i can't digest anything, because a good half of my digestive juices are completely missing from my guts. there is a functional issue with the way my guts work, of course i will lose weight drastically and put it back on at times. of course the issues will be episodic.
both her and the student that was working with me kept assuming that i said that my pain got worse after "high fat" meals. both of them put this in my mouth-
the student did it first. she asked when the pain gets worse and i said sporadically, but sometimes after i eat. she literally asked me "so you said it gets worse after fatty meals, right?"
i got frustrated and said "no, it's really random." i didn't get to tell her that raw leafy vegetables and lightly steamed or cooked vegetables make me vomit. broccoli and cauliflower that aren't heavily cooked, salads, raw vegetables, lightly cooked carrots, applesauce and apples in general are all problem foods.
the doctor then came in and said "it gets worse after high fat meals, right? you said that" and i went, again, "no it just kinda happens."
i don't even eat a high fat diet. i cook at home now for every meal now that i have all the tools i need to do so. i make rice, fish, pasta, and certain vegetables that i can digest like potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, mushrooms, and so on. i eat bread, seeds, nuts, dried fruits, and drink oatmilk. i don't eat land meats, eggs, or dairy. i don't have any of those things. i do eat french fries and fish sticks, but not for every single meal. i don't eat chips because they're too salty and irritate my stomach. i don't eat candy or sweets unless the food bank delivers them to me. i don't eat much sugar other than pancakes and certain fruits
she wouldn't listen to me and went "well when you eat fatty meals, your gallbladder has to contract more and it can cause you a lot of pain." you would not believe how many times she came back to "you need to eat a lower fat diet." "the pain gets worse after you eat a high fat meal, so eat lower fat meals and your pain will go down." "just eat a lower fat diet and it'll help."
i just kind of sighed. there were tears in my eyes. i felt defeated. they made a bunch of assumptions just because i was sitting there, being fat. i was wearing long sleeves due to it being cold and they didn't get to see that i have a lot of muscle in my body mass. quite a lot. i wanted to tell them that i'm on testosterone and physically active when and where possible, and that i frequently lift heavy objects and move, but i never got a chance. i wanted to tell them my BMI isn't what they think it is, but i just didn't bother to try
i despise that people assume that fat people are fat because they eat "unhealthy" foods. i ate high fat foods for a few months while i was homeless because i didn't have the resources to cook every single meal. it affected my liver, i'm dealing with some fatty liver. but my gallbladder has more important issues in the form of the literal stone inside. she would not stop pushing for me to eat lower fat meals. all because i was sitting there, existing, as a fat person. i wish i would've told her i can only eat fish and plant matter
i don't understand how a patient telling you they're vomiting and can't keep down certain foods does not sound like a more pressing issue than an arbitrary number. weight as a number means nothing, it tells you nothing about that person's actual body composition. i have trauma with vomiting and yet i'm going to have to keep doing it anyway despite the fact that it could kill me via dehydration or if i just. can't stop
either way i'm very unhappy with result as i already waited for a month for this consult. now i have to wait for a referral for another surgeon to go through, and to do the consult with them, too. all while being in pain and having GI issues the entire time. just because a surgeon doesn't want to take the time to learn how to operate on fat bodies. i'm tired. what a joke

୨ৎ absolute necessities .ᐟ
if you're trying to glow up, get healthier, etc, these are the very basics that you absolutely NEED to follow!
01, WATER .ᐟ
Staying hydrated is crucial for your health and wellbeing. While the recommended daily intake is 8 cups of water, you can gradually increase your consumption over a few weeks if that seems too overwhelming. Drinking enough water provides numerous benefits, from clearing skin and flushing out waste, to boosting exercise performance and supporting weight loss. Despite being the very essence that sustains life, water is often underappreciated.
02, FOOD .ᐟ
I used to skip breakfast, thinking it would help me lose weight. However, studies show that those who eat breakfast tend to lose more weight and keep it off longer. The truth is, food is incredibly important. It's best to regulate your eating habits by consuming at least 3 meals per day, even if they're only small portions. Some food is better than no food. If you want to go on a diet, that's fine! but make sure you research healthy dieting methods. At a minimum, eat one serving of fruits and vegetables daily, and try to increase that to five servings per day if possible. Proper nutrition is key for your overall health.
03, HOBBIES .ᐟ
i have this previous post regarding hobbies you could try! It's so important to find fun activities that you genuinely enjoy and look forward to doing. Hobbies add fun to your life and pose as a nice break from technology and the stress of work and school. They also greatly improve symptoms of depression and anxiety. You could do some physical activity, such as a sport you like, or something more calm and creative, like painting or writing.
04, SLEEP .ᐟ
a lot of people struggle to fall asleep at a decent time. Try getting ready for bed early. Personally, I tend to take off my make up and do my skincare immediately after i come home for school/work so i don't have to worry about it before bed.
Technology is probably your sleeping schedule's worst enemy, as the blue light from the screen keeps your brain awake, so try to pause screen-related activities at least an hour before bed. Also, try not to snack 2 - 4 hours before you go to sleep. This is because lying down makes it harder for your body to digest food, which can result in sleeplessness.
Forcing yourself to go to bed super early isn't helpful either. Like I've mentioned in my other points, take things slow and gradual!
05, SOCIALIZATION .ᐟ
Engaging in simple social interactions, such as conversing with family, seeing friends, or greeting people on the street, is incredibly important. Isolating yourself in your room all day accomplishes nothing.
There was a time when I dreaded spending time with friends, convinced I lacked the energy or mood. However, once I forced myself to make plans, I realized how much I genuinely enjoyed their company. Other people are what make life truly worthwhile. So why not reach out to a friend right now and invite them to hang out tomorrow?
06, ACTIVITY .ᐟ
you don't need an exercise routine if you don't want one, but simple physical activity is still a daily necessity! At least 30 minutes is recommended. Personally, i most enjoy plugging in my headphones and going on a walk around my neighbourhood for an hour or two.
07, SELF TALK .ᐟ
Arguably one of my most important points, quit the self-deprecating talk. You never realize how much it affects you until you quit it. Yes, you can absolutely get that assessment done. Yes, you are a likable and amazing person. Just keep affirming and reminding yourself that you are worthy, and you will attract so many good things. Trust me, it will help you so much in the long run.

you have to go to work so you can pay for your doctor, who is not taking your insurance right now, and if you say i can't afford the doctor's you are told - get a better job. it is very sad that you are unwell, yes, but maybe you should have thought about that before not having a better job.
(where is the better job? who is giving out these better jobs? you are sick, you are hurting - how the hell are you supposed to be well enough for this better job?)
but you go to the doctor because you had the nerve to be hurt or sick or whatever else. and they tell you that it is because you have anxiety. you try your best. you are a self-advocate. you've done the reading (which sometimes pisses them off worse, honestly). you say it is actually adding to my anxiety, it is effecting my quality of life. so they say that you are fat. they say that all young people have this happen to them, isn't it a medical marvel! they say that you should eat more vegetables. they say that you probably just need to lose a little more weight, and that you are faking it for attention.
(what attention could this doctor possibly give? what validation? that's their fucking job, isn't it?)
there is always a hypochondriac, right. someone always tells you about a hypochondriac. or someone who is unnecessarily aggressive during the worst days of their life. or someone looking "for a quick fix". or some idiot who wasn't educated about how to properly care for themselves who just abandons their treatment. and again, the hypochondriac, the overly-cautious hysteric. these people don't deserve to be treated like humans (right), and since you might be one of these people, you also don't get treated like a human. because those people can really fuck with the system, you now have to pay for it. and besides. you're actually probably faking it.
(more often than not, you find a 2:1 ratio of these stories. for every "hypochondriac", there are 2 people who knew something was wrong, and yet nobody could fucking find it. the story often ends with pointless suffering. the story often ends with and now it's too late, and it's going to kill me.)
you are actually just making excuses. someone else got that procedure or that diagnosis and he's fine, you should be fine too. someone else said they watched a documentary about other inspirational people with your exact same condition, maybe you should be inspirational, too. you're just too morbid. your pain and your experience is probably just not statistically concerning. it is all self-reported anyway, and you're just being a baby.
(once, while sitting down in the middle of making coffee, you had the sudden, horrible thought - i could kill myself to make the pain stop. you had to call your best friend after that. had to pet your dog. had to cry about it in the shower. you won't, but that moment - god, fuck. the pain just goes on and on.)
you know someone who went in for routine surgery and said i still feel everything. they told her to just relax. it took her kicking and screaming before they figured out she wasn't lying - the anesthetic drip hadn't been working. you know someone who went in for severe migraines who was told drink water and lose weight. you know someone who was actively bleeding out and throwing up in the ER and was told you're just having a bad period.
in the ER there are always these little posters saying things like "don't wait! get checked today!" and you think about how often you do wait. how often the days spool out. you once waited a full week before seeing the doctor for what you thought was a sprained wrist. it had actually been broken - they had to rebreak it to set it.
but you go into the doctor. the problem you're having is immediate. the person behind the counter frowns and says we're not taking your insurance. you will be paying for this out-of-pocket.
they send you home with tylenol and a little health packet about weight loss or anxiety or attention deficit. on the front it has your birthday and diagnosis. you think about crying, and the words swim. it might as well say go fuck yourself. it might as well say you're a fucking idiot. it might as well say light your money on fire and lie down in it. and the entire fucking time - the problem persists.
it's okay. it's okay, it's just another thing, you think. it's just another thing i have to learn to live with.

You were cleaning your boss Chagbin's office, as always at this hour. In this house, everything went like clockwork, every activity was planned, every step was watched, whether by cameras or security guards, who were stationed in almost every room.
This was how your life had been for a few years, you were always being watched. It all started when you were still a teenager and you ran away from your parents' house. You didn't want to live with them anymore, especially after you overheard them talking about moving to a completely different continent, away from your friends.
However, you didn't think about the fact that after running away you would have nowhere to go. Your friends turned away from you when they found out you ended up on the streets, none of the people you trusted helped you.
Your new boss turned out to be your salvation. While you were wandering around the street, trying to find something to eat and a warm place to stop, a black luxury car pulled up to you. You were surprised at first, but at the same time it interested you. A tall, well-built man came out, dressed in a very elegant black suit. At first you were scared and thought you were about to be kidnapped, but the guy stopped.
"Good day, Miss. My name is Peter and I was asked by my boss to offer you a job." His voice was calm, elegant and very friendly, completely at odds with his appearance.
You stood completely shocked by this situation, although you were still very distrustful.
"The job will be very simple. You are to clean the Lord's estate. In return, we offer accommodation, food and a very good salary." He continued when you still seemed unconvinced.
"How do I know this is not a scam and you won't kidnap me and sell me on the black market?" She finally spoke.
"You have to take my word for it, Miss. My boss doesn't hurt people he doesn't have to." He smiled slightly.
You laughed nervously, his words didn't convince you at all.
“Here is a business card with the address that the young lady should come to if the young lady decides to work. “ Not wanting to scare you even more, he put the business card on the wall in front of you, bowed and went back to the car. Then he drove off, you stood still for a few seconds before you went over to take a closer look at the business card.
It was a small, black and beautifully decorated piece of cardboard, with red and gold lettering. There was indeed an address written on it, and on the other side were the beautifully calligraphed initials SC. You were very intrigued by this small piece of paper. You thought for a long time what to do in this situation, but you decided to try, after all, it couldn't be worse than where you were now, and there you would have a roof over your head, free food and they would still pay you.
The next day you arrived at the indicated address and were speechless when you saw the building where you could possibly work. A gigantic white wall covered in ivy appeared before your eyes, in the middle of which there was an equally large and heavy golden gate. You stood next to her, not knowing what to do next, when you suddenly heard the sound of the intercom.
“Good day, Miss. I expected you to decide after all.” You heard Peter’s familiar voice. “Please come in.” After these words, the large gate began to open, revealing an equally stunning villa.
From a distance, it resembled a simple, minimalist structure with huge dark glass panes, through which cool, white light fell. The building seemed almost invisible among the dense, trimmed vegetation, as if blending into the surroundings, but it's refined form caught the eye.
You walked along the driveway lined with black tiles, leading to the main door — large, made of steel, which opened automatically. Inside, the space was even more impressive. High ceilings, cool gray concrete, and omnipresent glass gave the villa a raw, industrial character. The furniture was simple but luxurious - black leather sofas, dark wood tables, crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, and abstract paintings hung on the walls, as if their owner wanted to emphasize his refined taste and wealth.
It took you a moment to notice the number of people inside. Servants bustling around the large rooms and a lot of menacing-looking men in suits.
"Good day again, Miss, let me personally escort you out. " Peter greeted you.
You nodded, because the appearance of the place took your voice away. Together you went to the next room. The open space of the living room connected to a vast terrace, on which there was a minimalist pool with edges so sharp as if it had cut the water around it in half. Exotic plants grew around, carefully selected to create an atmosphere of luxurious isolation. Discreet music rustled in the background, and the air was filled with the cool scent of masculine perfume.
"Let me show you to your room. “ He replied as you walked through the beautiful garden behind the house.
In the background there was a beautiful building made of gray brick, completely overgrown with vines. It wasn’t as modern as the main building, but it was just as beautiful, almost magical. You went inside together, here you also noticed many women of different ages. Each was dressed the same - in a rather short black dress, with a white apron tied around the waist.
None of them paid any attention to you, they were busy with their own activities. Peter showed you the stairs and together you went to the attic, where there were two doors. The man opened the first one and your eyes saw a beautiful, spacious bathroom with a huge bathtub and its own vanity, equipped with plenty of cosmetics.
“This is where you will get ready. At work, you have to look impeccable. Delicate make-up and carefully combed hair.” Peter said, still standing in the doorway.
“Sure, delicate make-up, combed hair.” You repeated, giving a sign that you understood.
“Great, let's go to your room then.” He pointed to the other door.
When the door opened, the bright morning light blinded you. The first thing you noticed was the large bed, above which stretched a huge window, facing straight to the sky. Your eyes wandered from place to place, carefully analyzing every inch of the room. The luxury you had never had left you dazed. Finally, your gaze landed on the glass wardrobe, which held a lot of beautiful and great quality clothes.
“Is this all mine?” You asked in disbelief.
“Yes, Miss. You should dress appropriately for work, in a black dress. When you are not working, you have full freedom.” The man explained to you.
“Black dress, work, after work whatever you want. Sure understand.” You replied.
“Wonderful. Now that you know everything, we can go downstairs.” He suggested and you go back to the main house.
You still couldn't stop marveling at the amount of awesomeness this house held. When you finally managed to explore the entire house, Peter began to head towards one of the older maids who was dusting in the living room.
"This is our head maid Esmeralda. She'll help you with everything and explain what to do. If you have any questions, ask her." Peter said and walked away.
The older woman stopped what she was doing, turned to you and gave you a genuine smile.
“What's your name, child?” She asked, her voice trembling slightly.
“My name is Y/n, nice to meet you.” You replied, bowing your head slightly, wanting to show respect.
“You have a lot of work ahead of you, but I think you'll manage. Get changed and we can start.” Her words scared you a little, but you were full of enthusiasm for your new job and new opportunities.
You had been working in your new house for a week now, people started to pay attention to you, you even had the impression that you had struck up a good rapport with some of them. The work was hard and tiring, you spent your days cleaning, preparing tableware and meals, washing, ironing, generally working hard.
One day, walking up the marble stairs, you noticed a slightly ajar door to one of the rooms. You knew that you shouldn't change your daily schedule, but curiosity won. The room was decorated with splendor: massive dark furniture, tall shelves full of books, and impressive paintings on the walls.
Suddenly you heard the sound of the door opening and before you could do anything, the bathroom door opened and a boy who looked to be around your age stood in the doorway. He was standing in just a towel, wet hair falling over his forehead and drops of water running down his muscular torso.
You froze, opening your eyes wide, your legs pressed against the ground and you couldn't move. You felt heat rushing to your cheeks and you just looked down.
"Oh god, I'm sorry, I didn't know someone was here. I'm going now." You choked out, step by step backing towards the door.
The man raised an eyebrow at your embarrassment, but instead of getting angry, he smiled slightly.
"You have nothing to stress about. Please stay, you just have to give me a moment to get dressed." He said calmly, pointing you to the couch, then disappeared into the large wardrobe.
You sat down uncertainly on the couch, still feeling your cheeks burning. After a while, the stranger came out dressed in a black shirt that emphasized every outline of his muscular torso and perfectly tailored pants. He sat down opposite you and smiled friendly.
“I'm Changbin, nice to meet you.” He extended his hand to you.
“Y/n.” You replied, greeting him.
Introducing yourself gave you a little relief and you could talk to him calmly. Your conversations were really interesting and time flew by. You felt like you had known each other for years. At some point, intrigued, you decided to ask a question that was on your mind.
“I found out that this is the villa of a mafia boss. Apparently he is very strict and no one has the right to oppose him. As an ordinary cleaning lady, no one will have the opportunity to see him, because only selected people can be near him. And did you ever manage to see him?”
The boy burst out laughing loudly, which surprised you very much. You frowned, thinking that you had said something very stupid.
“I see him every day… I happen to be the strict boss, and you work for me.” He replied, smiling inquisitively.
You opened your mouth wide, and your heart stopped beating for a moment. You jumped to your feet, panic taking hold of you.
“God, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have acted like that, master. Forgive me for my recklessness, master.” You began to bow, feeling embarrassment almost burning through you.
Changbin rolled his eyes and stepped closer to you, placing a hand on your back to calm you down.
��Call me Changbin, like before. There’s no need to be so tense, I don’t blame you.” He said calmly, his touch surprisingly warm.
You just nodded, still feeling the blush on your cheeks. You quickly apologized, then ran out of the room, feeling your heart pounding in your chest like a hammer.
That’s how you met your boss, in the worst possible way.

It had been a few years since you had entered the residence and thanks to your enthusiasm, you had quickly moved up the hierarchy. Thanks to that, you have gained access to new parts of the building. Your fingers were gently sliding along the spine of a book on the top shelf when suddenly the quiet slam of a closing door interrupted the moment. Your heart beat faster - you turned around abruptly, but your leg slipped off the edge of the stool. Everything happened in a split second. You braced yourself for a painful fall, but instead of an impact, you felt warmth.
You opened your eyes and met his gaze. Changbin held you tightly, and his eyes, dark as night, seemed to read every hidden secret.
"Be careful, Y/n" He said, his voice sounding like a gentle warning.
You swallowed hard and quickly stood on your feet, looking away. Your breathing was quickening and a blush was burning your cheeks.
“I’m sorry, Master…” You whispered, but the words died in your throat as you noticed the annoyed look on his face. He sighed deeply, as if it was something he’d said a hundred times before.
“I already told you, call me Changbin.” He corrected you firmly. You bit your lip, feeling like you had made another mistake.
“I’m sorry, maste... Changbin.” You finally replied, adjusting your dress, the delicate material of which chafed against your skin. “Can I help you?”
He looked at you for a moment, as if weighing his words before answering.
“Yes, yes, you can. A foreign client will be visiting me tonight. I would like you to serve us.”
Your heart skipped a beat.
“Of course, it would be an honor.” You replied with a wide smile.
This was your first real chance. You couldn’t waste it.
Changbin nodded, his face still serious.
“This is a very important meeting, Y/n. Everything has to be perfect. I’m counting on you.”
“I won’t let you down!” You assured enthusiastically.
You watched as he turned around and left the office, then went back to work, knowing you had to hurry.
After work, in your room, you took a shower and prepared yourself carefully, feeling excited and nervous at the same time. Your new dress fit perfectly, and the velvet bow delicately emphasized the hair falling to your shoulders. You looked at your reflection in the mirror, making sure that everything was in its place. You were ready.
It was late evening when you brought a tray of empty glasses to the office, which you placed on the table in front of the two men. There was no room for mistakes, everything had to be perfect on point. You didn't say a word the whole time, only bringing drinks and snacks to the table when needed. Even though you couldn't say anything, you listened carefully. For now, at this moment, you found out that your boss's client was called Victor and he didn't look like a nice guy. Every time you looked at him, shivers went through your body, but you couldn't show it.

The easiest best two to three days of food for one person I know of. A flexible modular recipe. This is going to sound high work at times due to how broadly I am writing this, it is not as bad as the vagueness and intentional broadness makes it sound signed a person who has frequently accidentally had sleep for dinner after being unable to make it too damn much.
Rice cooker needed.
Ingredients:
Rice (any), lentils or beans optional (one or two cans), frozen vegetable mix (any and in as much quantity as you want, I like potato, carrot, peas, and corn you like what you like)
Sauces (teriyaki sauce and kewpie mayonnaise is what I swear by because of how easy they are to manage and pour and how well they compliment the food and each other but use whatever you own and can stomach or nothing at all, extra points for one having some fat), seasonings (curry powder and salt is my standard, really the salt is enough) Oil
Additional protein (tuna, cheese, ham, chicken tendies, shredded chicken, tofu, more beans, egg, mushroom, setian, nutritional yeast, you do you, two seperate sources for the different days useful)
In to the rice cooker, put two cups rice with water in proportion, one or two cans lentils or beans if using (strain and quickly rinse them if you can, if not just pour out as much of the liquid as possible and dump), and a lot of frozen vegetable mix in whatever variety you have on hand/like. It's going to look like a lot. That's because it is. This is good. Add more vegetables. Two cups of rice makes more than you think so it's very hard to add too many vegetables to this if you're at least neutral on vegetables. Let the rice cooker cook. It's going to take a while so do whatever.
This is now a mostly complete meal if you add fat and salt, so the teriyaki and kewpie in my version. The additional protein will make it more filling and better in general, so adding a low effort one
Turn off the keep warm on the rice cooker and dump out the leftovers on a plate or something. Or not and just put the whole pot away. Leave in fridge overnight.
If you're ambitious/need variety reheat by frying with a different seasoning and secondary protein source #2 for best results. It's all already cooked so you just need to add the extras and to have it be warm. If you want to then use the fried rice in multiple meals, it reheats in the microwave better than the unfried. If you're not, reheat in the microwave with extras and enjoy that yesterday you making food for today you really helped out today you.
This provides two days of main meal food that are both very presentable and flavoursome, and are sufficiently different to each other it takes a long time to get sick of/makes it easier to feel like you're "doing well". I have had friends compliment me on how nice I am eating despite being in states that would usually leave me struggling to make myself food that mildly disgusts or concerns them. It dirties the rice cooker bowl and paddle, one eating bowl and utensils, one plate (optional), and a frying pan (optional). Most of those I just rinse out or soak not wash properly tbh, it's not like it has cheese to scrub off if you don't use it. This whole process takes about five minutes of active prep and clean up both days. The worst pitfalls I have found with it are getting too ambitious on the secondary protein for day 1 and eventually just having nothing, which I fixed for me by switching to canned tuna or shredded chicken, forgetting or otherwise failing to empty or turn off the heating of the rice cooker, and getting overwhelmed having to use the stove at all day 2 and avoiding the nice but optional upgrade.
I hope this is helpful for someone out there, I know how often most of these from around the place sound "oh my god you think that's simple??" But, and I say this as one of you, the backbone of this is having the machine that boils carbs boil a bunch of carbs for you and cramming as much of a "complete" or "fancy" meal's prep in to that process as possible then finishing with stuff you just pour, drop, or slice in.

It turned out apple picking was super easy when you had the abilities Grogu had. Three apples seemed to fly off the branches as soon as you were set up with baskets, with somewhat alarming speed. Especially since you had wanted to pick some on your own.
“Grogu, let’s figure out how we want to pick the apples,” you gestured for him to come close and then picked him up. You pointed up to two apples right next to each other, “See those two? Are they the same?”
Grogu shook his head.
“Right, one is shiny and smooth and one looks bumpy and dull. So let’s use our eyes to pick the apples we want,” you suggested.
Grogu nodded and made sounds of agreement.

Grogu nodded excitedly and started pointing to another apple in the next tree. Din carried him over and you expected Grogu to reach up again, but he turned around and pointed at Din. You grinned as you watched Din reach up and pick it and how happy it made Grogu to watch him do it. Next, Din chose and you picked the apple. The three of you continued until you filled your basket to the brim. You and Grogu would probably have to eat an apple each before you could carry it all on the speeder.
Afterwards, Grogu was climbing a tree while you and Din watched him.
“Thank you,” Din said quietly.
“For what?” you asked, turning to him with a smile from watching Grogu’s abilities.
“For choosing us. For being in our lives,” Din said quietly, to make sure it was just for you.
Your heart caught in your chest, “Oh Din, I always would, I always will. And thank you, for choosing me too.”
Din reached out and grabbed your hand and squeezed it. You squeezed back and promised yourself to love them even better tomorrow, just like you knew they would.

it references a few things from the castle arc such as a snow abode which is later referred to as a cage (zam's base, his safe space later turning into a hostile one), the bird singing to those it should not (zam talking and teaming with ppl dualityduo dont approve of or even actively hostile towards), the bird going out to eat bugs and worms then hiding in the dark (the eating is possibly(?) a reference to zam only ever killing ppl when he needs to/when he thinks theyre evil and then hiding away in his base for the rest of the time), the dog lifting the bird with its two bruised hands to its heart (could be a reference to ro and mapicc and team awesome but maybe im reaching), a feeling of freedom and confidence due to being flightless and therefore disadvantaged and having nothing to lose (zam losing like 14 hearts or something), the bird that starts fearing the dog that stalks outside its cage (mapicc literally stalking zam in mc and zam slowly getting increasingly paranoid each time)

Having chronic migraine sucks, cause nobody took me seriously for years, telling me "Everyone gets headaches/I get headaches too!" meanwhile, without my medication, I'm incapacitated from the pain for four days a week on average, and everyone thinks I'm just being lazy when I physically can't get myself out of bed or even open my eyes, let alone feed myself without throwing up.
I go to work with ringing in my ears. I have to use a shower chair because the dizzy spells hit out of nowhere. I get blurry vision and sudden vision flashes. Even after the migraine episodes pass, I'm left with post-migraine where I'm physically drained and got massive brain fog.
And because of my GI issues (that's a whole separate medical issue that has landed me in the ER five times this year), I can't take oral medication because my body refuses to absorb most of it or it just decides my meds aren't on the guest list and activates the puke button.
The only medicine that seems to work is this autoinjector I take once a month... and it's the equivalent of about 600 USD per syringe. I have to jump through so many hoops to get it. It doesn't get rid of the migraines, just lessens their frequency and severity. (My current doctor has suggested I start Botox treatment but I don't feel financially ready for that.)
Even with my official diagnosis, hardly anybody believes me. "It's just a headache," "Ninety percent of people in the world get headaches!" "You need to eat vegetables more," "Try visiting my doctor. She's a gynecologist but she specializes in everything," "Have you tried meditation?" "Have you tried-"
I can assure you, whatever you're going to think of on the spot, I've already tried within the past 10+ years of my life dealing with this issue. This, and my GI issue and other chronic health issues.
I've also noticed people get uncomfortable when I explain to them what 'chronic' means. They squirm about it. They deny it's a thing, that there has to be a cure, I just haven't found it yet. They make up solutions on the spot. I kid you not, someone suggested I put a snail on my forehead for it to 'absorb' the migraine.
I have office workers telling me they know more than my medical professionals. I missed a few work days due to being in the ER from an intestinal issue, and had a coworker ask me what was I possibly doing to make myself sick, that- "You must have an unhealthy lifestyle, or you wouldn't be like this." Another coworker pitched in, stating that I must be doing something wrong. Family members insist on that assumption, too.
In other words: the chronic illnesses I was born with (the chronic migraine, gastroparesis, PCOS, chronic skin issues, other health concerns) are somehow my fault. I truly do believe this idea stems from how uncomfortable the thought of chronic illness makes them, and the belief that they can avoid becoming chronically ill themselves if they try hard enough, that you only get chronically ill if you did something to deserve it somehow.
I'm exhausted explaining myself to healthy people who believe I owe them my medical history. I outright say I don't want to discuss it. It just makes everyone prod harder. When I run out of energy and just want to rest and not speak anymore (because everything I say goes in one ear and out the other, anyway,) it's as if I've insulted them personally, scoffing that they're just trying to help.
This is not how you help. You're making me more tired than I already am. Literally, the things I do require help with (needing a ride home on occasion because I'm having aura symptoms and can't drive and there's no public transit, needing silence so the pain doesn't escalate, needing things to me repeated because the fatigue and brain fog made me miss what was said, needing time alone because I'm drained and can't go do the thing you want me to do, needing a ride to the ER) everyone refuses to do, which tells me this isn't about helping, it's about your curiosity regarding my health. It's about you needing to be right.
If you really want to help, just ask what can you do. That's it.

How to make use of 24 hours to create a planned and ideal body…
Set a fixed time to wake up in the morning
The sympathetic nervous system, which is involved in daytime activities, starts to become active around 4:00 in the morning, and increases in activity from the time you wake up. After reaching its peak during the day, its activity declines from evening to night, and instead the parasympathetic nervous system begins to activate for rest. When these two nerves work in a well-balanced , your metabolism will increase and you will be able to lose weight easily.
■ Exercise while commuting
If you are on a diet, don't hesitate to walk from your house to the station! If you are confident in your physical strength and are energetic, you can walk as much as one station. Even small habits like taking the stairs instead of the escalator can add up to a lot of dust! You can earn a lot of steps and energy consumption just by being conscious.
In addition, try to stand as much as possible in train and bus transportation. While waiting for a train on the platform or when holding on to a strap, try to stand with the awareness of training your balance to strengthen your inner muscles and help burn them.
■ Eat snacks wisely
If you have a lifestyle where there is more than 7-8 hours between lunch and dinner, it is better to incorporate snacks. If there is too much space between meals, it is easy to overeat and eat quickly at the next meal.
If you know that you will be late for dinner, eat about one rice ball in the evening, and then eat salad, soup, or tofu at dinner to make it harder for you to gain weight.
■ Control by diligent self-catering
It can't be helped that there are many opportunities to eat out at work or in private, but it is also important to control so that you have time to cook for yourself if you continue to eat out.
When cooking for yourself, make the most of the taste of the ingredients and use less salt and oil. Also, make sure that vegetables are the main dish and that the main dish is high in protein and low in fat. It is also important to finish dinner at least 3 hours before bedtime.
■ Take care of your sleep
If you use your computer or smartphone beg to bed, it will disturb your sleep.When bright lights at night or light from OA equipment enters the retina, even for a short period of time, the secretion of the hormone melatonin, which controls sleep, is suppressed. At the very least, it's important to start getting ready for bed by spending at least one hour before going to bed under indirect lighting.
Depending on how well you sleep, you will be able to consume energy during the day and get a good rest at night. and help burn them. will increase and you will be able to lose weight easily.

My gastroparesis driving me up a wall. And by that i mean ive been barely eating for over a week now and my symptoms still arent improving and im really not havin a great time im exhausted my bodys in pain trying to get me to Rest but i gotta work full time and my abdomen absolutely hurts but painkillers slow digestion even More so ive been laying down on heatpad as much as possible and i really dont wanna go back to an All Liquid diet (but even if i did im at the nausea and vomiting point of a gastroparesis flare which means even liquid only im likely to throw up either way) and like. I just wanna comfort eat bread cause i feel miserable exhausted in pain and it would be a small joy. But bread is absolutely not something i can eat during a flare. I can only eat it when doing good if i take benedryl. Im so angry and tired and id like to sleep for days. And i gotta still Make myself eat chips and protein shakes even tho i got nausea cause my gi meds dont work unless i eat Something. Even if i got nausea and tons of pain wooh
Anyway im getting flack from family for being so tired the last week and i love em and all but its awful feeling guilty for not calling Enough when its like goddamn eating (something humans gotta do at least once a day) hurts phenomenally and i barely can but i obviously desire to like any human then i eat and Ouch my body didnt fucking like that and punished me for it and im so mad. I feel awful and yeah im mad i dont got energy to hide how much pain im in and chat false enthusiastically for 20 minutes after already doing it all thru work. I had 1 teaspoon of peanut butter today and my remaining options are soup broth (but it had beans cooked in it and my body cant take fiber today so idk if its worth the risk of any accidental beans) and salad (which is of course raw vegetables fiber very hard on stomach rn so i can probably just eat a handful size portion and hopefully ill chew enough its mush and my body will tolerate it). And a protein shake (but its got fiber and is made of chickpeas i think for the protein so idk if my body is tolerating it or not im just drinking it so i dont have no calories). I had chips yesterday but i think my body considered it too solid or large to digest idk cause im eveb worse today. I also had toast yesterday cause i was so angry and hungry and wanted comfort food. So of course that messed me up. Which means i should take more benedryl. But then i wont just be hungry and pain tired, ill also be drug tired. And im so sick of being miserablr all day at work just to pass out the second its over cause allergy meds knocked me out then ive lost all day. But without allergy meds i can eat hardly anything i like. I mean i cant eat rn but like. Right before this fuckjng flare and hopefully once its over. Im just sick of it. Im tired and when i go to therapy next week shell probs ask oh what do you do to stress relief and its like... i get it but are u fucking kidding me. Im knocked unconcious from benedryl. And tired anyway cayse no food, and pain nonstop from gi tract. So im barely doing anything. I cant really get outta bed cause i need the 4 sq feet heatpad or ill be in agony over my abdomen. Dont have tv in room so i can use phone i guess. So tired i can barely keep eyes open or think so im not writing reading or watching shows on phone. I can idk listen to a reaction or lets play since if i fall asleep and wake up i dont need to follow a plot. But like im not in a state to be going for a fucking walk (i wish! I wanna dance and walk but my abdomen and back feel awful and im so tired im dizzy when i stand) or hang out w friend, which im sure idk shed prefer to hear some productive ass activity like god im just trying to keep myself employed and out of the ER until the flare rights itself. Please
And i know jts not that bad. Ive been worse. I couldnt eat solid food for 6 months once. I was in the ER weekly it was so bad i blocked most of it outta memory. This is only a couple weeks. And i havent thrown up much! I was throwing up 5 times daily back then. And i have had chips and peanut butter! I recognizr thats nice, i got some solid food and held it down! I know my gastroparesis is EONS LESS severe than it was when it started.
Its just like. It still sucks barely eating for weeks and any eating hurting immensely and nonstop nausea for days and pain not lowering. Like a normal healthy person might snap from anger if they try to go 20 hours without eating, or crash and need to eat to keep going, or just be run down as fuck and justifiable if they barely do anything that day. But i go days like that and im expected to just appear fine and live life normally like im not worn down af and just desperate to not feel nausea and pain and i just really wanna eat again. Normally.

ARGONUS FAUNA: ice age giants and edible fruit
(NOTE: descriptions copy-pasted from DA where i normally/originally post my works. any context that is missing here on tumblr can be found on my DA [linked here and on pinned post] )
[additional note: much of the first several post on argous's fauna use a human to scale instead of an E-class aircraft like i would end up doing later on. thus, animal's actual size relative to their world will be smaller. a bonus note to make is that this human perspective also includes names of the animals, so i'll be giving out alternate names and/or some explanation....]
well, here are some MORE living fossils of argonus. I felt like that day to draw some "ice age" animals, as well as an edible version of a poisonous fruit (at least in our world).
<u>southest bearmule</u> -35ft at shoulders -chalicothere -tropics of southest amerigia once upon a time, the natives of northest amerigia once believed in this beast called "bryiono", a monster described as having the head of a moose, the body of a bear and a long, bushy tail not unlike a wolf or fox. sometime the bryiono was depicted with antlers, other time it had wings or hooves on their first forelimbs. supposedly, the bryiono choose what was edible to the elkinets and what wasn't; if the beast ate it with no hesitation, it was edible. if it outright refused, all parts of it were poisonous. and, if it ate only certain parts of the plant, then only those part should be consumed. sometimes, the bryiono would trick people by faking to eat the plants, only the spit it out once the poor airplane already eaten the plant. these legends persist to this day, becoming a staple in many northest amerigian stories. but is there any truth to this all? of course, because chalicotheres existed and were more than likely the main inspiration for it. there were several species that live throughout northest amerigia during the early parts of the Holocene, but due to a combination of climate change, competition with other animals and elkinet activity, most of the northest amerigian species gone extinct by the end of the stone age. the very few that survive only live in the upmost southern parts of navaloon. however, southest amerigia is a different story, since while not a numerous as once were, the chalicotheres that crossed over there are well and thriving. which leads to the southest bearmule. the southest bearmule, being a chalicothere, is more closer to a mule than a bear. more specifically, they (alongside all other extant chalicotheres) belong to the subfamily Schizotheriinea, a more basal and simple group that still walked on it's feet instead of it's knuckles like other chalicotheres. it's a rather solitary herbivore, though their territories are rather loose and it's not unheard of for the southest bearmule to gather in small groups of 2-3. while definitely used for defense, most of the time those big bear-claws are used to rake down the vegetation it eats. bearmules eat a wide variety of foods, but most commonly (especially the the southest bearmule), their diet consist of foliage like leaves and fruits. they're a prime distributer of various plants seeds, many of which rely on these large herbivores to distribute these seeds.

whilst being just as omnivorous as humans, there are some things that are considered poisonous to us, yet totally harmless to elkinets. holly berries are perhaps one great example, since elkinets can eat most holly berry species with little to no issues. meanwhile, if a human were to eat them they'd be blowing out of both ends, become extremely dehydrated and possibly even die. however, in some string of dumb luck, the one species of holly berry they domesticated, the knucklon holly, is actually the LEAST poisonous. and in even more of some strange luck, that domestic descendant became almost entirely harmless to human. hollyfruit is a widely cultivated plant that, like said, originated in the island country of knucklon. these berries are at least four times larger than their wild counterpart, and can easily be removed from the plant by giving it a good shake once ripe. there are several different breeds of hollyfruit, ranging in colors from red, orange, yellow, green, white and even purple and blue. wild holly berries tend to be sweet and cherry-like in taste, with a cinnamon aftertaste (something that i googled), but the domestic variety can focus on a specific part of the taste (i.e., some breed are used as cinnamon alternatives, some are best as pie filling, etc.). like said before, the domestic hollyfruit is a lot less poisonous to humans and can be consumed safely. however, eating too much can cause some of the more milder symptoms that the wild fruit would give. not only that, but there are humans (and elkinets) out there that are allergic to the fruit, so there exist "hollymimics", a mixture of cherries, cinnamon and some other flavors meant to mimic the hollyfruit's taste.

while some of cenozoic giants were lucky enough to live up to the holocene and be part of the modern megafuana, others weren't quite so lucky. just like with their earth counterparts, some when extinct, only leaving behind fossilize materials. however, if luck is on their side, their relatives may end up filling in the niche they once left behind, continuing on their legacy. once such example is the greater teras. looking at this bird, you'd mistake it for a massive species of eagle or caracara. however, the greater teras is actually a species of teratorn, and a relatively modest-size (if not rather large) species at that. it's amoung the largest species of flying [non-aeronoid] bird on argonus, and being a teratorn it a relative of one of the largest flying birds (both on earth and argonus), argentavis. actually, it's the largest extant species of teratorns, with most other species being smaller and typically no bigger than a harpy eagle. like most other species of teratorn, it's primarily a scavenger that uses thermals to glide from place to place. however, also like most teratorns, it's an opportunistic hunter that can and will take advantage of the sick, injured and weak. they're monoganous, and every year the same couple will return to the same cliff face to raise 1-2 chicks. they've been prized as pets by many elkinets, and more recently as magificent mounts by humans. despite their numbers being on the decline, the captive breeding of greater teras has helped them bounce back several times.
lrussese elephant -49ft tall -bassically steppe mammoth -tundras, tiagas and plains of lruss and center kingdom a bit of argonian lore: lrussese royals absolutely LOVE their pets, especially the big and exotic (think ostriches and tigers). in some of the more recent centuries they've aided in the protection and repopulation of endangered animals, helping them bounce back to the numbers there once were through captive breeding and such. the lrussese elephant, also commonly know as the steppe mammoth to humans, was once a common occurrence through their native habitats. but, their numbers began to dwindle due to a mixture of habitat loss and poaching, and by the turn of the 19nt century they've became extremely rare to find in the wild, if not totally extinct. however, in captivity they were thriving and were well-protected due to many seeing them as a sort of national treasure. thus, repopulation plans were made to keep these giants alive. slowly but surely, by the end of the 23rd century they've bounced from being "extinct in the wild" to "critically endangered", aided more by the pukanis who are already interdimensional conservationists themselves. their behavior is rather identical with that of an elephant, being an intelligent, social and an herbivore. however, one key difference in behavior is that they're rather tame, due to generation of them being in captivity around elkinets. while this hasn't hindered their survival abilities, it does make them more vulnerable to poachers.

1 month on T update
I can’t believe it’s been a month already but here’s what I’ve noticed this month:
my throat feels scratchy and goes hoarse pretty easily. this could be allergies or from dust and dander that got pushed around while moving apartments. or…it could be T who knooooowwwsss
i wash my hands a lot at work and noticed my forearms feel…firmer? like slightly more toned
so sweaty. sweat smelling kinda different very suddenly like “oh what’s that smell? [sniff] oh it’s me” not bad but like…normal body odor smell I guess
don’t know if it’s placebo and paying more attention to my body hair…but arm and tummy hair possibly looking darker??? may just me being hyperaware and excited but who knooooowwwws :3c
for real with hair though: some wiry hairs on my upper lip and a bit more stubble on my chin (already had some pre-t)
my face is breaking out like it did it high school :/ skin is getting oiy. but looking duller ?? it may just be my shitty diet during the last few weeks plus stress and plus exhaustion from moving. eating vegetables is my favorite activity rn
one big symptom(?) I’ve noticed is the need to stretch? and they are BIG stretches and feel SO GOOD. I did some research and apparently this is normal for some when starting T due to increased blood flow to your muscles and your body composition changing. your body just wants to get that blood circulating. you’re growing and going through puberty :)

related to stretching, being touched by my bf sometimes triggered these stretches. possibly linked to sensitivity and increased libido? I’m a stretchy guy and feel good moving that way :)

this is the teen boy experience. im 28 but my body feels 13
i started T the same week my cycle starts so im monitoring pmdd symptoms rn and i definitely noticed a big drop in my confidence within the last week compared to when I first started T. nothing extreme but body negativity did creep up in my thoughts a few times. we’ll see how my actual period is this month, curious how fast that’ll disappear for me.
