April 26 2023 While introducing ourselves in the third of three support groups I’ve been asked to attend by the local authorities the leader of the group mentioned Harry Potter. More directly she said that she adored the series and played the video game way too much. From that second, I didn’t feel safe there anymore. My mind went to panic mode. Which is the opposite of what I should be feeling in a support group. I know I am not acting rationally, and I should give her a chance. Feelings are complicated.

Fact that exams in universities are usually scheduled for around June-ish time, leaving you too tired to do something pride-related for most of the month is something that falls under my description of "and again universe told me to go fuck myself".

The 230 case in the supreme court in the USA is the most important thing to pay attention to right now. Its honestly scaring me how much this could impact myself and other content creators. Right now Im panicking over what my only career path will look like in 4 months if the supreme court does what it always does and fucks everything up…
If you havent heard whats going on, I’d suggest watching what Legal Eagle or Phillip DeFranco posted about the Supreme court and the future of the internet. Basically they’re debating the ability to sue a content platform for the content its users post on it, basically treating youtube’s suggestion algorithm as youtube “creating” the content, making it liable for everything its algorithm recommends… this could destroy Youtube’s ability to host videos in the way that we know it, limiting search and recommendation functions, or at worst forcing Youtube to limit who can even post to its platform. Its scary to even think about what might happen to small creators without an established subscriber base… no one new would see your videos, only people who actively search it out, or who already follow you…
TL:DR — If you live in the USA, please pay attention to the supreme court and do whatever you can to influence them to keep the freedom rights of these platforms!! Sign petitions, call your Rep’s, please do whatever you can to keep platforms like Youtube and Twitch alive!!

I didn't care for what sex my kid was, I just wanted them to be the best person they could be, ever since I was pregnant. (Unless it was hateful and / or toxic.) I wanted a happy child. I wanted a child that told me about their day. About their hobbies, or their friends, anything.
I didn't want them to fear telling me about anything. Whether it included their worries, their thoughts, dreams. I just wanted to be there. I wanted them to know that I will ALWAYS listen. I always wanted to be a voice they don't worry about hearing from.
I never wanted to force anything on them, and they've thrived so much more than I ever did at their age.
My son is accepting, loving, kind, and more.
I just wanted to be a beacon of light and (hopefully) a guidance.
He's at such an impressionable and mature age now. He's his own person, but still a child.
He may be different, but he is still himself.
That's all I've ever wanted for my child.
I still have many more years to go, but I feel like I don't have to worry too much because I'm trying to be better.
I want to be the mom and the mom friend that children wouldn't have to worry about being themselves around.
I'm trying to be a better person, too.
I love you, my son.
Please always know that.
- Venny
The very young, and tired mom ❤️

July 22 2023
*Disclaimer: these entries (July 17-29) are made up to two weeks after the occurrence so I’ll try my best to remember all the details yet might fail*
This place is magic, I tell you. Where else will people tell you to your face that you living your truth has inspired them to grow as well? Where in the ‘real’ world do you find people complimenting your androgenous appearance without in the same breath make you feel small and feminine? Yesterday I was love bombed so much that I cried. This one guy (the same I put nail polish on) just opened his heart to me at way too late o’clock. I cried in his arms. Happy tears. Man, I love this place.

Gender is Fluid: A seemingly everlasting evolution
By Mutya
As someone who joins pageantry, I can already say that all the glamor that we see on stage is very much different from the struggles of the candidates behind closed doors. As a candidate, I am exposed to different issues of life, particularly gender. It is much more complex than most issues because gender is not a solid construct. To me, gender is fluid. It is ever-changing and the very definition of gender is evolving over time. This liquidity of gender is becoming more and more evident in Philippine Pageantry.
Recently, Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Marquez Dee came out as bisexual. The LGBT Community and the world of pageantry welcomed her coming out. She wasn't the first one to come out as part of the LGBT Community because even the owner of Miss Universe is a trans woman. The very pageant of Miss Universe is slowly but surely evolving. As a media mogul, the trans woman owner of Miss Universe is also changing the perception of audiences around the world towards Miss Universe candidates who are a part of the LGBT. This evolution, we all welcome.
In this day and age of gender inclusivity, it is our obligation to empower those who are struggling and the responsibility of ""out-ing"" someone is never ours to bear. This goes with assuming one's gender based on physical appearance. In this epoch, mankind should be more sensitive and responsible for their mistakes. But these mistakes should never hinder us from learning, moving forward and evolving. The construct of gender will always exist and it will always evolve. The question is, are we ready to evolve with it?
