Behold, Steff and her keytar in all their valid glory!
A huge thanks to @cutekoala1001 for this excellent commission! Her style is so cool, she looks like she was plucked right out of the Sing movies! If you want one too, don't be afraid to go ask her!
Also keep an eye out for the next chapter of the Steff Pearce Series soon!

A'ite, by some miracle I did not get sick and I have some time before I have to leave for work so y'all get to hear me ramble now.
Lucky Rose, she got to be friend-married and actual-married a few years later.
The older woman in that one pic with them is Jack's mom, Rose isn't related to either of them. She just hangs around with them more because her parents are Not Great™
Jack is mute and communicates primarily with ASL or written notes. They can still whisper, but it's very uncomfortable for them. The font I used for them is this:

Remember Pokemon Showcases? No? I don't blame you, they're Pokemon Contest's more boring cousin. Carlo in this au was a participant in the competition, but transitioned late into his run. Since showcases are typically only for girls, they considered kicking him from the competition, but he was good enough at it that they figured it would keep ratings up, so he finished his run and won the whole thing, becoming Kalos' first and only Kalos King.
Rose was super into his performances from the beginning, enough that he started recognizing her in the crowd. They formed a casual friendship that Carlo tried to keep some distance from because usually when fans try to get close to him they're just trying to get lucky. Rose, being the most sex-averse ace on the poké-planet, is not interested in that at all. Once Carlo accepts that (after agreeing to a date that he was sure would lead to sex but instead Rose got him flowers and took him to all the best local street magicians she knew) he feels comfortable breaking down his walls. And later asks her to marry him. They r in love and I'm crying help.
If ur wondering why they have mythical Pokemon that'll be explained in more detail in Pride. Basically the mythicals used to be a lot more common back in the day, enough so that children who lived on Alola's smaller islands were given their eggs to care for. These eggs take years, sometimes decades to hatch, depending on how well they're looked after. If their Pokemon hatch healthy enough, the kids are deemed worthy of becoming Pokemon Trainers (this can't stop them from befriending other Pokemon of course, but leading them in battle without the approval of their egg is highly frowned upon). Some of the mythicals leave their care-takers once they're able to. Some decide to stay with them as their partners.
The Trainers who are approved by their eggs often get tattoos representing them (which is why Leialola has that red thing on her chest) as a way to show gratitude. If course, children can't get tattoos, so they use paint instead until they can.

Pretty much none of this info is important to Pride's story so I'm just posting some doodle pages here. It's my comic and I get to choose the comfort character cameos.
I would info dump about all of them but i legit just accidentally ate mouldy grapes so I'm gonna go take care of that.

I think of this meme often when I stumble across Hazbin shipping discourse and hate.
Say what you want about the Dr Who/Sherlock/Potter Heads era of tumblr. Was it cringe? Yes. Unbelievably so. But the art and community that came from it was amazing.
The way the HH fandom tears into each other over ships that aren’t “canon” is.. baffling to me.
Maybe I’m just too old to understand it. But it all feels so childish. Life is hard and has too many real problems. I don’t see the appeal in fighting over who imaginary characters do/do not sleep with.
I’ve seen this a lot with Alastor’s character specifically. Ace/Aro authors and artist create something based off of their own personal experiences- and get railroaded by other fans- simply because he’s portrayed in a way that doesn’t fit into their personal biases.
Hazbin fans- just because your favorite character is LGBTA doesn’t make you immune to bigoted behavior. Prejudice often disguises itself as public-interest.
Let people be fun. Let them be cringe. Let them make crack and terrible art. AUs, character studies, and crossovers can be the birthplace of amazing things.
I don’t really have a point with all of this. I just think it’s kinda sad how fans are ruining the show for themselves.

I'm looking forward ( not really ) to see the leosagi/'leo is gay' stans getting upset over you drawing of Leo liking girls lol
I can already imagine the mental gymnastics those people will say just to make you look 'homophobic' over a freaking hc ( has anyone else forgotten what that word meant atp? ), that even the creators of rise even stated that they never thought about thinking of their own characters' sexuality, so in reality, there's no confirmed sexuality
I swear to God, those type of people made me annoyed with headcanons, and this is coming from someone who is LGBTA+
Honestly, that kind of reaction would only prove my statements.
I mean, these people don't think about how they're making me, others like me or the creators themselves upset or even offended with their behavior and see no problem with how they're sticking their noses into other people's business and practically forcing all these headcanons. (especially in Leo's case and that load of headcanons people are bombing him with. And sometimes I don't even understand some of these, like, I'm sorry if that would offend anyone, but I really don't get where "Leo trans" headcanon even coming from. And checking red eared sliders biology and markings to what people are usually refer to didn't gave me answers either. But I'm not looking into it further anyway).
With creators I've seen a person asked Ron personally about this whole situations, and he said that the team is trying to avoid confirming anything because people already have "the nasty tendency to sexualize them (the turtles and April) anyway", and that they don't want to fuel that fire. And I really hope they will stand by their position.
And you're not alone, anon. Again, I have queer friends and they're also annoyed by this kind of aggressive behavior.
And no matter how much I love Rise, being in the fandom for almost a year been an emotional roller coaster for me. It still is, honestly, but that's why I'm going to stand by my opinions, but not forcing them. All I'm doing is answering questions and being honest with myself. I'm not going to let people make me a door mat.

Coding has a meaning, I know that, I 100% know that coding has a specific meaning and has thousands of example across different media across the world. There are so many good examples of it, and essays, and explanations, and queer history as to how queer and LGBTA people have used it to be invisibly visible to each other in media, regardless of how much there's an attempt to ice us out.
But...
God do I want to take the word "coding" and put it on the top shelf away from the children. It's like they saw the actual application of the word coding, and decided to completely throw that out and stick with the idea of "Anything is X-coded if I use enough stereotypes and force it enough". (It's not even that the character ISN'T actually gay coded, but their reasoning is just complete shit.)
Disney villains being queer coded, especially characters like Ursula? People have made essays about explaining why, and how. Showing the history of why queer coding exists in different forms, how it was created, why it was done, how queer code was made and evolved, and how that crept into media.
But then you get "Ok I think this guy is gay coded because I want him to be." It's like the gay "coding" is done not because that is what meaning of queer coding was built on, but more that the person does it because of a personal preference. It's kinda like the "Fanon is actually more canon, than actual canon because I just don't like canon."
-Much harder to actually explain what annoys me about modern "queercoding" 👆👆, because it's less of a collective issue and more a problem of how splintered the concept is used by people today.
Feels like this actually goes hand in hand with that "Queer history revisionism" submission. The queer and LGBTA+ history exists, but people don't want to acknowledge it, so instead they take concepts from queer history, and just rip it out of its actual queer historically context, and do the "I made this." without understanding what's behind it. I think what also annoys me with modern queer coding, without all the context, is that for a lot of these cases it's heavily reliant on heteronormative gender binaries and roles. Eg: "Femme men are gay. Masc men are straight." kinda idea.

Writeblr intro
Hello! I'm KAKi, I go by he/him and I write original fiction (I suppose if I were to find a fandom I liked I would write fanfiction too)
About my writing:
I like writing character-based stories, so my main genre is romance, but I love learning and branching out. I like having a "gimmick" in my work, so I often write fantasy because magic gives more variety.
I like writing short stories and novellas that usually turn into series. I want my work to be easy to jump into and satisfying to put down once you are done reading. This is probably a bad marketing tactic, but I don't mind being unmarketable.
I generally strive to write stuff I would myself want to read. This means grounded, soft and cosy stuff where most conflict comes from the world and not from the relationships. I don't really care for melodrama. I had a traumatic childhood, so I like seeing the characters I like happy and thriving. I also try to keep my casts of characters diverse and nuanced, feeling more like real people than characters. Is this an impossible task? Maybe, but I like having a goal to work toward.
You can find my Wattpad and my first book here. I have so far published a fantasy romance novella, a collection of fantasy short stories and some standalone horror short stories.
My WIPs:
You can find the post containing my WIPs here
Genres:
-Fluffy Romance
-Fantasy
About me:
I was born in 2002 and I live in Finland
I started writing regularly in 2020, but I have been a storyteller all my life. I lost quite a few friends as a kid due to info dumping to them about my stories too much ^^'
I'm neurodivergent and part of the lgbta+ community
I have a fascination with psychology and families/family trees, and I incorporate both into my writing
I would like to be a director of my own show one day
Why am I here?
I started this blog in hopes of finding new friends, finding mentors and peers who like reading/writing and getting feedback on my writing and how to improve the way I write characters from different groups and backgrounds.
I would like to encourage constructive feedback on this page as much as possible. As an autistic person, I find the lack of feedback in my normal life frustrating.
Suggest me things, ask me things, infodump to me about the shit you like, introduce me to your fav Thing and get me to make it my whole personality for a week!
When it comes to beta and alpha reading, I'm of course always looking for new ones as my projects move forward, and I will also do it for you in bite-sized chunks.
For anyone worried about spam liking/reblogging/commenting, don't be. Give me all of it. And feel free to tag me in any games, tho maybe DM me how they work first in case I'm too chickenshit to ask.

It’s so weird that you keep getting these ask accusing you being a a big bad bigot person who just hates on kid media with LGBTA+ characters and want violence on it kid shows even though you talk about other things then kid shows and made a post that praises Meet the Robinsons and you didn’t want the villain to die a gruesome death like what.
Another thing I have problem with these people get so attached to this shows and get upset that another person who did not like it has a problem with some of the scenes in the shows and criticize get so angry and cries than accusing you be a bigot With the show that happened to have a creator, who is POC or LGBTA+ like new flash asshole not everyone who are in that group are great at writing.
I mean it’s worth noting that this particular dude only has an issue with my feelings on the owl house as far as I can tell as I haven’t seen Steven Universe in years now and I don’t think anyone is dumb enough to defend Star Vs. or Tangled the Series at this point.
But like
I liked Owl House. I think it fumbles the finale and could’ve made some better choices with its pacing and characters. By the end of the series I was very comfortable giving it 3/5 with a heart if we’re going by letterboxd terms. Which is normal.
I think it’s writing is about on par with Ducktales 2017, maybe a little worse than Gravity Falls? But somehow that’s indicative of my utter distaste for Dana Terrace. A creator I have actively stated I want to see more from. A creator I said seemed to only fumble the bag in a way that screamed ‘first time jitters’ more than anything else.
Fuckin
You should see some of the directors I’m into I promise they’ve all had at least one dud if they’ve made over 3 movies of note I don’t that hold that against them.
People gotta learn to appreciate that nothing they like is flawless. And flaws don’t end at cute little quirks, there’s going to be actual writing flaws in most creative works you watch.
Meet the Robinsons is my favorite Disney movie of all time and I can say that in the same breath where I admit that its family cast is over-bloated and underused and its pacing is a bit of a mess. Because I’m an adult who can recognize that the things that matter to me don’t have to be perfect to be worth it to me, and other people pointing out those imperfections can’t hurt me.

Which characters would celebrate pride month and how?
I think all the characters would be happy for pride month, but
Sara Chidouin - Sara gets a few tiny pride flags to place in the pencil holder in her room. She gives a few of them to Joe and Ryoko.
Joe Tazuna - Joe wears all kinds of pride colored accessories during June. Sara doesn't even know where he got half of them. They seemed to just appear.
Gin Ibushi - Gin personally says "Happy pride!" to every LGBTA person he knows.
Keiji Shinogi - Keiji hasn't done much because he doesn't have much emotional energy for anything, but he did give a thumb's up to a pride parade passing by him.
Alice Yabusame - Alice wears his pride pins all month. Some are small and some are big but he's proud to show off who he is.
More Undercut
Reko Yabusame - Reko has plenty of songs about being LGBTA that she looks for any excuse to play. Thankfully pride month is a great opportunity.
Nao Egokoro - Nao paints a beautiful painting of two women in an embrace with saphic colors coating the sky behind them.
Kazumi Mishima - Mishima reads up on different sexualities so he's better informed about the world.
Q-taro Burgerberg - Q-Taro goes out for drinks with his LGBTA friends.
Kai Satou - Kai is happily watching all the LGBTA shows and movies that play on tv. It's a nice to watch while he does chores.
Kanna Kizuchi - Kanna tries to find flowers for her sisters that have the same color as a pride flag. It's harder than it seems but Shin helps her find some in the end.
Shin Tsukimi - Shin participates in rainbow capitalism and sells a box of pride pins at the counter of the convivence store. He's queer and therefore he feels like he should get extra money in June.
Dolls
Ranmaru Kageyama - Ranmaru paints his nails (insert pride flag here that you headcanon them to be) colored. Mostly because of wanted to, but also because Sara and Joe think it's super cool.
Naomichi Kurumada - Naomichi goes to pride and loves the energy. He's goes wearing a headband and wristband in rainbow colors so he can show his pride to be part of the community.
Anzu Kinashi - Anzu wears face paint of different pride flag colors while she's preforming her clown routine. She cuts back on using her mask a bit in June.
Mai Tsurugi - Mai sells rainbow cookies and cakes in specific flag colors.
Shunsuke Hayasaka - Shunsuke wears a rainbow tie.
Hinako Mishuku - Hinako wears rainbow leggings.

4/5 STARS
Summary: This collection of comics (3 issues and an Annual) has the worlds first ever Gay Mormon Superhero! In fact, it has a lot of different Queer and Mormon (or Mormon-adjacent) characters, all fighting against injustice.
The main character, Sam Shepherd, gets visited by an Angel soon after marrying his husband Jase. The Angel (Abish from the Book of Mormon) calls him to be The Hand of God and punish sinners. He fights homophobes, misguided missionaries, and Cain himself, alongside his companion, Fe, who also received powers from Abish.
Read at your own risk: This book is has a complex approach to mormonism, as well as deceptions of queer sex (Not explicit but pretty nsfw). I think it's a lot of fun, and is an honest portrayal of queer mormon experiences, with fun fantastical versions of Mormon beliefs (Like a Holy Ghost Force Field).
Overall, I enjoyed it! I've been dying for a Mormon Superhero, and queer mormon superheroes are even better. I would love to see more stories with Sam, Fe, Jase, Shonda, and Riley in the future.
Spoilers and Review Breakdown Under the Cut
1. Well written - 3.5 Stars.
Overall, I think the writing is done well. Some of it is cheesy, and there are a couple of deus ex machina's but it feels like it fits in the genre and with what the comic is trying to do.
2. Fun level - 4.5 Stars
I really enjoyed it! I read the whole thing in one sitting and it was engaging and exciting and it made me laugh.
3. Complex faith - 3.5 Stars
This one is complicated to answer. This definitely feels like media aimed at ex-mormons. Most of the characters are Ex (or "Jack") Mormons, and don't have high regard for the church as an organization. They do believe in Angels and Heavenly Mother (cause that's where their power comes from) but the church officials (like mission presidents) are shown as villains. It's a very irreverent story. And there's a part in the last issue where Heavenly Mother and Heavenly Father are pitted against each other that I didn't really like.
The only exception is Riley, an asexual missionary who states his firm testimony a couple of times. He is one of the heroes, but still firmly believes in the gospel.
I like it because it has characters from all over the spectrum of mormonism (from actively serving a mission to "my parents were mormon but we don't really talk about it" and everything in between), which I think is cool, but it's also definitely got an exmo bias.
4. Homophobia scale - 5 stars
it's so gay!!!!! They have a character for each letter of LGBTA, it's delightful.
It is also NSFW. Nothing explicit (?) but characters are often naked, and the two married couples are shown being intimate quite a few times. I don't normally love stories like that, but for a comic that is about the sacredness of queer intimacy, I understand why it's included.
5. Mormon weird - 5 stars
SOOO much mormon weird. Abish is an angel. The heroes have Liahona Guides. The big villains are Cain and Ammon. It's so much fun.
6. Diversity of characters - 4 stars!
The main character and his husband are both white guys, but Fe is latina, her wife is black (and trans!), and Riley is a POC.
7. Other problematic stuff - 3 stars
I love this comic but I don't think it's for everyone. On top of being irreverent and nsfw, it also incorporates some indigenous american culture into the mythos in ways I'm not sure about. This is going to happen with anything that talks about Nephites and Lamanites, but mostly I don't know why Ammon has a pet Quetzalcoatl. 🤷
But, like I said, I did enjoy it. I think there's a lot of potential in these characters and I would love to see more stories with them

Sending this on anon -
I think there is a latent amount of misogyny in the star wars fandom that people aren't ready to face lol.
Like there was so much hate for RebelCaptain and Bix x Cassian (MechanicThief? Bixian?) After andor, and we were called homophobic for 'not wanting to ship' the mlm ships, and I'm like???!! First of all multiplies exist, and second of all, complex, dramatic, well written ships also should exist!
And I'm now seeing the same pattern where it's encouraged to ship Din with the men, but not with the women
I think that a lot of fans really need to look within their consumption and see if they're really looking for representation, or for Ken dolls they can experiment with.
DinBo is so fascinating and I really can't wait to see how they develop
oh y'all want me to get spicy. i'm gonna put his under a read more.
i don't even think it's latent. the female characters receive an excessive amount of hatred or are pitted against each other. i've been in fandom spaces a long, long, long time so i know it's sadly nothing new but people have a hard time accepting that not all the misogyny comes from men.
there is no quarter for woman characters like jyn erso and bo-katan. they will never please. especially when they may have possible romantic relationships with the male leads.
i have thoughts on the shipping atmosphere for the mandalorian and it's not positive.
i am very much a ship and let ship person. i prefer to stay in my lane and enjoy what i enjoy. no harm no foul.
but i do find it -- shall we say interesting -- that bo-katan and din have a multiple episode arc where they develop a deeper understanding of each other overcoming their differences from when they first met but is met with the attitude of ew no cooties. it is fine to prefer a more sibling dynamic between the two but some have been really nasty about others shipping it romantically.
i didn't even really ship it at first but it's grown on me over the course of the season. they compliment each other and have a lot of protentional to explore.
it's one thing to not like a ship but i've seen a lot of language that i consider problematic and outright anti behavior of labeling something you don't like with dog whistles of incest, grooming, toxic and disgusting when it's in fact none of those things at all. just say you don't ship it and keep stepping.
like, the most popular din ship over the past two years has been dinluke which is a perfectly acceptable ship but in canon they've exchanged like a handful of words in one scene. it's fanon.
the armorer and bo-katan has become a popular ship which is again built on a few interactions.
but somehow din and bo are terrible, no good and gross.
we don't even have canon sexualities for these characters and headcanons are not canon. hell, i personally see din on the ace spectrum and bo makes sense to me as bi but that's my headcanon.
this is also not dean winchester being based of a bisexual character and fifteen years of evidence of subtext or stiles stilinski's bisexual baiting by jeff davis on teen wolf.
i get the desire for more lgbta+ representation in star wars but a heterosexual relationship existing is not your enemy and if you think it is than you are part of the problem.

LGBTA Headcanons for the Tellius Cast
Now that I’m replaying PoR, I can’t stop thinking about the characters, so here are some LGBTA headcanons:
Ike is gay and also on the ace spectrum. Due to comphet, he doesn’t realize that he experiences attraction to men (however infrequently) until late into the events of Radiant Dawn. I feel like being around a bunch of beast laguz (who I headcanon are more open about sexuality), Ike finally gets a clue.
Soren is gay, and 100% in love with Ike. His entire character arc in PoR is (unintentionally or otherwise) a metaphor for coming out.
Ranulf is bisexual, which I headcanon as being more common among laguz. It’s not necessarily that there is a higher percentage of bisexual people, but there is so little stigma about sexuality that laguz are more likely to be open about their bisexuality.
Kieran is definitely gay, though I doubt he understands it. He is misinterpreting his feelings for Oscar, like that meme about sending a letter to a girl you have a crush on to tell her to leave your school. In fact, Oscar probably figures out Kieran’s true feelings before Kieran does. He is deep in denial.
Oscar is bisexual, though not open about it. He put his entire life on hold to look after his brothers, so he’s definitely not even looking for romance in the events in PoR. And while he bonds with Kieran in PoR, I don’t think it’s until RD that Oscar’s feelings turn romantic. I like to imagine that, post-RD, when Oscar re-enlists in the army, he finally confesses to Kieran.
Nephenee is a lesbian, but suffering from comphet just as badly as Ike. It’s not even until she meets Heather that she realizes that girls can like other girls, and that opens up a whole can of worms for Nephenee. It takes her a long time to untangle her thoughts, but post-RD, Heather and Nephenee return to Ohma, and live out their sapphic dreams of living on a farm with their dozens of rescue animals.
Mia is aro/ace. She may be a romantic, but only in the sense that she dreams of being a dashing hero, going on adventures, and having epic duels at dawn with a fated rival. She has never been interested in dating or marriage, and doesn’t understand why everyone else cares about it so much. But she tries her best to be supportive, nonetheless!
Tibarn is bisexual, and Reyson is gay. I imagine that their feelings for each other have remained mostly unspoken by the start of PoR. Perhaps they are reluctant to bridge the gap, unsure of how it will affect their friendship. By RD, however, they are 100% sharing a bed, in love and not at all secretive about it. I like to think that seeing them together was the beginning of Ike’s gay awakening. At first, he’s confused why they are sharing a tent, and he asks Ranulf, who is just like. Is that a joke? And Ike gets his first lesson on sexuality!
Sigrun and Tanith are in a relationship by the start of PoR. In the beginning, Sigrun was a person Tanith greatly admired, aspiring to be as strong as her. Once they began looking after Sanaki together, romance between them blossomed, though due to their positions, they have to keep it private. (Plus, I doubt Begnion is super queer-friendly.)
Lucia is a gallant, charming woman, and I imagine that she has many admirers of all genders. Lucia herself is bisexual, but she is married to her job above all else, and doesn’t have relationships that last longer than a few months. She becomes Melior’s foremost serial heartbreaker.
This post is getting super long and I am getting tired, but I may continue this at another point. I clearly hold too many LGBTA headcanons…
