Fancher also penned the script, based on on the 1991 novel by Lew McCreary. Owen Wilson, Janeane Garofalo, Brian Cox, Mercedes Ruehl, Dwight Yoakam, Dennis Haysbert, and Sheryl Crow star.
The Minus Man has been newly restored in 2K from an interpositive. Special features are listed below.
Special features:
Audio commentary by writer-director Hampton Fancher and producer Fida Attieh, moderated by film journalist Max Evry
Theatrical trailer
When quiet, aimless and amiable Vann Siegert (Owen Wilson) drifts into town, no one suspects the evil that lies beneath the surface. Despite his easy charm, he is merely a reflection of what those who encounter him want him to be. The more Vann tries to make a go of his new life, the stronger the mysterious forces are that pull him in a darker direction. When locals start to disappear, it becomes clear that an eerie subtraction is at work among the lost and lonely of this sleepy, seaside hamlet. People look toward Vann, but no one can quite put their finger on who he really is. Through it all, he carries on a surreal dialogue with imaginary detectives who question his crimes and motives.
Pre-order The Minus Man.

Hey Mya! Have you been reading anything recently? I'm most of the way through a book I've enjoyed very much. Now I'm trying to hold myself back from buying many, many books since I know I'll start a new one when I finish my current one jdhskdh
Hello how are you : D ? aw geez I think I spent most of my allowance on books as well.. it’s difficult to get English books here, which is frustrating (I borrow books from open library and archives.org though, which is noice! I finish most in one day :”) )
I re-read The Minus Man by Lew McCreary because,, the film is good but the book is spectacular, and hmm I re-read Spider by Patrick McGrath as soon as I finished Minus Man, bc they gave me similar vibes (?)
And oh! Birdy by William Wharton and I read a couple stories in some of McSweeney’s Publishing’s collection of books, they’re absurd and quite hilarious.. I also finished Leaving Las Vegas (John O’Brien) a while ago and it made me cry 🥲
I have a goodreads account (though I can’t go on there as often as I’d like because, even with vpn the app short circuits a lot in my country rip) but m-maybe there’ll be some books in my ‘want to read’ section that might interest you? Sorry for the long response aa please recommend some books to me as well
hope you’re having a wonderful day ! 💛

Every genre has a singer who succeeds incredibly with a record, it is usually a debut, yet then that musician has problems following up this achievement. Yacht rock contained many such casualties, one of them being Christopher Cross. I'm not saying he ended up being Syd Barrett or anything, he is probably going to get a Michael McDonald-like appreciation eventually, but his eponymous entree album accomplished so much it was hard to top it. Nonetheless, it is a great entry into the world of yacht rock that is oft-mocked, even though its sophistication presents us with interesting sonic landscapes that wouldn't feel out of place on a chill out LP. For instance, listen to this song, whose peace, punctuated with its gentle orchestral flourishes, smooth guitars and vocals, never seems to be threatened by anything, this is the music for the calm seas.
