One thing about 87!Donatello's occasional desire to be a normal turtle is, it's worrying, but it's not suicide adjacent the way it would be for any other Donatello.

The context in which he starts to think about it is one where they've pursued a newly mutated sumo gerbil (yes, seriously) back to the petshop where it was trying to break in so it could "go home". When the unstable mutation wears off it's happy to be shut back in its cage and Donatello thinks he recognises the petshop as the one where the turtles were originally sold.

For the gerbil being given sudden sapience isn't a gift or the beginning of its existence as a person, it's a weird and scary thing that left it adrift in a world it didn't understand and that didn't understand it. Having it wear off is a happy ending. After all, if a human was turned into a dragon and given massively expanded intelligence, a thousand year lifespan, and the power of flight and fire, but still wanted to go back to being human that would be understandable.

Donatello remembers being a turtle - his sense of his own identity doesn't start with sapience - so seeing another animal unmutate and be happy when he's unhappy with nearly but not quite fitting into the human world makes him thoughtful.

There's still a lot he does and enjoys that a turtle couldn't do! And most of the time (such as when being threatened with de-mutation by Shredder) he doesn't want to go back to being a helpless turtle. But there is that lingering feeling that he might fit into the world better (and be liked by humans better) if he was simply a turtle they could keep as a pet.

Posting a sneak-peak of this now because I'm about to be In The Shit school workload-wise, so this'll take me a while to finish.

Doing some character design exploration/expression sheets for Celestia and Luna. Figuring out Celestia's weird ass anatomy while I'm at it.

Something I miss from earlier eras of the creative side of the internet was things just being unabashedly low-budget. Just all unashamedly amateur, unprofessional, ‘I don’t own a good camera but I have a story to tell you’, ‘I can’t afford a good mic but I have a song to sing for you,’ ‘I don’t have any kind of background in editing or lighting and I only just picked up this guitar last Tuesday but here’s an entire musical me and my friends wrote about our favourite book, we filmed it on a potato and put it up on YouTube in ten minute segments because we thought it was pretty funny.’

I find it funny that Wild, who has basically a couple years ish of full life experience, comes up with the most insane theories for everything

He assumed that the only other explanation to Four being able to split in Four was. That he was quadruplets who'd been hiding this whole time???

Also apparently he believed that his wolf companion Twilight in botw was a diety (and felt very uhh shocked upon finding out that he was not)

Malon made things worse, telling him about her aliens theory

What's even FUNNIER is that every time Wild expresses any sort of confusion at magic stuff that he's never seen before, everyone else in the chain acts like it's crazy for him to be weirded out by it

Honestly maybe Wild's the only one with his head on straight, rather than everyone else who are just like 'it's magic bro' like no he's right this is weird

I appreciate this because it's very considerate of the fact that he woke up with no memories not too long ago, so he doesn't have much experience to explain the stuff that's 'normal' for the chain. Plus the explanations he comes up with are funny.

Constantine gets a pet Blob

So! Constantine is just doing a job one day when he comes across a little Blob Ghost.

He doesn't think much of it, just feeds it some physical Emotions he had in his pocket (magic stuff idk) and walks off.

But the Blob follows him. So he walks faster, and it follows faster. So he runs, and the Blob is now chasing him. Eventually he loses it by hiding around a corner, waits for it to pass, and peeks out to see if it's still there.

Its not, so he walks back out and opens a Portal back home. He takes one more look behind him, sees nothing, and walks in. Only to be met with the Blob floating in the center of his living room.

He figures after a while that he can't get it to leave, so he just names it "Blobby" and lets it hang around him whenever he leaves for a Job.

Turns put he is actually really helpful on Jobs, his ability to sense emotions was more powerful than even John's best spells. It's makes it really easy to solve missing persons cases when he can just have Blobby search for the person's emotions.

He's also really good when Constantine in making deals. Blobby is great at detecting when a Demon is trying to swindle him, even if he always catches it without his help.

Thats really it, I just wanted to give Constantine a Blob Ghost Sidekick

you guys ever notice how in his dialogue when he's in bertie's presence, jeeves uses quotations and references constantly, but in his THOUGHTS during "bertie changes his mind," he doesn't use any? this is obviously because he doesn't care if we the audience know he knows shakespeare, but he will languish and die if he doesn't get to dazzle bertie with his wit and knowledge every five seconds

So like, if in Hunted Jay said he and the other three og ninja are “older teens” (presumably 19-16, but likely between 19-18) then wouldn’t that mean in the early seasons they became teachers at like 14. You’re telling me they were out here teaching kids only four years younger than them at 14??

Let’s also take into consideration that Nya most likely never completed school, Kai never WENT to school, Cole dropped out of school, and Wu is Wu.

Please the only ones who could actually teach was Zane and Jay, and Zane still probably never went to school and Jay may have been homeschooled.

I know plenty of people have probably said this already, but I am so sick and tired of science being The Smart Thing and art being The Creative Thing

first off, there's a lot of dumb 'smart' people and a lot of uncreative artists

but more importantly, science and math and all that stuff takes an immense amount of creativity that really isn't appreciated enough, and art stuff takes an immense amount of intelligence that really isn't appreciated enough
