It frustrates me so much when people use Jin Zixuan's death as some kind of proof that Wei Ying was out of control because you do remember he was being attacked at the time, right? Like he accepted the invitation to see his nephew in good faith, and instead, he was attacked. Violently. With the intent to kill. They were shooting arrows at him. If he hadn't spurred Wen Ning into action, he would have been killed. Like, you guys remember that, right? And it's not like he could just hop on his sword and fly away. He was cornered, and the only way out was to fight.

I'm not blaming Jin Zixuan for his own death, that blame lies solely on Jin Zixun, but I still think it was incredibly stupid of him to walk right into active fight zone and not expect to get hurt. Also, why was he telling Wei Ying to stop when Jin Zixun was still trying to kill him???

I don't understand this need to find something to blame Wei Ying for. He's always acting in defense. Against forces greater than him. He's reactive. He rarely actually starts things first. Like yeah he's a flawed character but that doesn't make him automatically culpable.

People at Nevernight were calling for both his blood and the Remnants, and he's supposed to just take that???? Just let it be? Take the Remnants and hide??? To where???? Wei Ying was so desperate to find them a place to go the first time that he took them to the Burial Mounds. The Burial Mounds. Do you know how desperate you have to be to consider a haven for corpses and ghosts as a safe haven??? Where else was he supposed to take them???

Even then, THEY shot him first. He didn't even make the first move. I do not understand why people think Wei Ying is in the wrong for simply fighting back to protect people he cared about.

For the love of God, someone needs to explain this to me because I'm really sick of this fanon character assassination

Anyways I do feel as if I’ve unintentionally made him pointier than I usually draw him but it was a good practice on both the perspective and some quick rendering :) I’m pretty happy with this piece

it's about time i officially shared my design for Clip from my hairdresser au! here's the silly boi himself!

a.k.a. the most complicated character i've ever designed...

that's my boi, despite his crazy design, i love him. his silly top knot hat, the horn-like points around his faceplate, his speckled colours, his four arms, and his funky pants. he's just soooooo fun.

Clip likes to play games and knit! he even made the patchwork pants he wears (he made Sun and Moon a pair too, but they're too precious for them to wear... also a little gaudy to wear in public—doesn't stop Clip tho!). He actually makes everything the boys wear, since there's not a lot of things in their size/shape.

instead of resting at night, he can be found in their living room, playing Kirby 64 for the nth time and/or knitting something. he's just too restless to stay still, he's always gotta be doing something and if it isn't gaming, knitting, or hairdressing, then he's up to No GoodTM.

Clip... likes popping balloons. he says "Goodnight!" with each popped balloon and once he's done, he tosses up the scraps like confetti all while giggling joyfully.

needless to say, he is not fun at parties. Sun and Moon don't let him near balloons for this reason.

and yes, he has sewing needles on hand at all times. for fashion emergencies... and for unsuspecting balloons.

Clip's not allowed to have a phone (just imagine all the in-app purchases Sun and Moon would have to deal with), but he likes to keep up with his customers and their games, even if he doesn't get their fixation over bluenets he'll never openly admit it but he prefers curly-haired blond hunks that look sweet in soft pastels but could also squash him like the spider he is

also, he's great at microbraiding! though i imagine if Sun and Moon are free, they'd come help to shorten the wait but also to compete and see who braids the most (Clip always wins of course—make anything into a game, and he's winning)

aaaaand there's this! i wanted to make sure Clip would be able to freely rotate his waist so his arms could have their full range of motion, and this was the solution i came up with: a crop top on top and a wrap around his waist. and Clip here is being a sneaky little scamp about it.

Making grown adults stick to an arbitrary schedule isn't just something that happens to people with intellectual disabilities. I didn't want to post this on the last video as this isn't about intellectual disabilities but it does relate.

I worked as a security guard in a section 8 apartment complex. The place had a curfew of 10pm on weekdays and 12am on weekends. As security we were expected to ruthlessly enforce this. If someone was out after those hours, even if it was on their own porch just talking, we were supposed to warn them and then write them up and turn it into the office. They could get evicted for this, with no clear indication of how many times it had to happen, and possibly lose their voucher as well.

These were grown ass adults just hanging out and talking in a place they were paying for (section 8 requires them to pay a portion of the rent, so yes, they were paying for it). Most of them weren't even being rowdy and the ones that were usually just took a, "Hey, you're being a bit loud, could you keep it down please?" to get them to settle down. It was a ridiculous rule (curfews always are).

Coincidentally, a lot of my coworkers at the time didn't like working the place. They got yelled at, treated like shit, and had problems every night. I didn't understand because I never had that issue and then I realized why. They were actually ruthlessly enforcing that rule and were rightfully hated for it where I would walk the property about thirty minutes before and have this interaction.

"Hey," I'd say to a group of people on a porch. "I gotta tell you that curfew is in about thirty minutes."

"And what are you going to do if we don't go in?" someone would reply.

"Well, my break is in thirty minutes too and I like a long break," I'd reply with a shrug. "Make of that what you will."

At which point I'd just get a nod, a laugh, or an "Alright" and then I'd go on, finish up my round, take a nice long break, and then wander back around about an hour after curfew. You know what? Never had a problem. Never had to write someone up. Occasionally I would run into someone still out on their porch and I'd just either go the other way so I "didn't see them" or just give them a wave and keep going.
