When I say I really want a Jason adopts tim fic, I don't mean I want him to become a parent at 19 to a teen like 2-4 years younger than him, I want Jason to meet Tim and decide that he wants Tim on his side.

I want Jason to adopt Tim as his Robin, like he decides that he wants to recruit this 15 year old that is some how the smartest and snarkiest person in Gotham. I don't want infantilised tim, I want a sorta Nani and Lilo sibling dynamic, but with a smaller age gap.

Like sure, Jason sees his little brother as some sort of soggy kitten that he must protect, but also a Tim that is very capable of looking after himself.

I want Tim to look at Jason, see Bruce back when he first donned the Cape and traffic light colours. And then in true Tim fashion decide to fix him, B was being too over protective since Red Hood showed up anyways.

Like imagine, Jason meeting Tim instead by accident when he drops in on a drug trade. Tim says some quip that throws him off his game while fighting. Jason basically losing to a very deadly fifteen year old who's not slept in 29 hours, and he thinks 'f it, I like the kid'. Then trying to recruit him consistently until Tim goes 'why tf not'.

I've seen the headcanon that Lucanis' mother, Caterina's perfect heir, was actually similar to Illario in some ways. That she was calculating, ruthless, ambitious, obedient... all the things Caterina overlooks in Illario because Caterina sees her favourite daughter's deep brown eyes and quiet, controlled demeanor and careful planning in Lucanis.

But I am also attached to the idea that the opposite is true too. That Illario's mother shared similarities with Lucanis; that she was empathetic and stubborn, with a slight rebellious streak. But she was always outgoing and charming, was more impulsive with her emotions, and was always sharper with her tongue than with a sword, so Caterina only sees her in Illario.

I just love the idea that Caterina can't look beyond the surface and see who her grandsons really are because on some level she can't see past the ghosts reflected in their eyes. She can't see that the quiet brown eyed boy is is more of the gentle hearted rebel, and the one with blue eyes and a shining, fake smile is the ruthless leader who would do anything she asked.

I feel quite mean when I say that I want Lift to feel very guilty about what happened to Gavinor. Because that’s putting an unproportional amount of blame on her

But I really do wish that she does. Her actions during day two where irresponsible and childish to a degree that she is way too old to be able to excuse. And unlike most other instances of Lifts funny shenanigans of refusing to do what she is told, this time it had severe life altering consequences that can never be fixed

And I really hope that this is the turning point for her of finally accepting change and growing up to a degree. Because wether you like it or not, when you’re not the youngest, when there is someone looking up to you and you let yourself be in that position. You have a responsibility to a degree and can’t just run off and break the rules whoever you want or give dangerous advice

we need to collectively start shaming people for talking about anything related to economics a LOT more. if someone starts talking about inflation, ask them to explain what that is. interest rates- who controls that- more importantly, how? to what end? what are tariffs supposed to do? how do labor and wages effect supply and demand? what is a market? a job market??

literally no one actually knows anything they’re talking about AT ALL, and if someone’s telling you they can accurately predict what’s going to happen they’re plain lying. real experts will admit there are major flaws in the data feeding several key models and indicators. even with perfect data collection methods (impossible to achieve), we still wouldn’t be sure of anything. that’s not how economic controls work.

the average person has less than zero economic literacy and I mean less than zero because they’ll insist on talking about it anyway and that shit has a negative impact. when they do it, make them look stupid- ask them to break it down like you’re a child, keep asking for more clarity, go deeper. ask for their sources, ask for their sources sources, ask if they were educated in economics and where and in what focus. Fucking grill them. and when they can’t demonstrate real comprehension, ask them why they’d vote based on something they don’t actually understand.

Commit the crime of Common.

Indulge in the sin of “It’s been done before”.

Revel in the joy of “tale as old as time”.

Feast on the popular tropes and the “obvious” combinations and flood the tags with it.

Summarize the event you had been building to for months with a few sentences and be done with it.

Claw the messy depths of rage and sex and love and squeeze them between your fingers until the sensations make you sick.

End a story on a cliffhanger because you told the tale exactly how you needed to.

Leave loose ends on the floor to sprout on their own or wither and die. You do not owe them your time when you cut your ideas before a live audience.

Let the B plot became the A plot.

Write something people predict easily.

Kill the hero.

Use minimal tags.

Dangle the C plot like a cat toy and chuck it off the cliff when it becomes a problem.

Turn rude comments into blackout poetry and make them prizes.

Make your characters Mary Sues and then block people who call them that derisively.

Write yourself into the story so blatantly your bestie cannot comfortably read the sex scenes with you in the room.

Do not let the boorish caterwauling of cravens tell you different.

The value of your creations are not determined by how well you followed the rules, or how unique they were. They will never be for everyone - even the most beloved of all media sours between someone’s teeth.

You don’t have to change the world with your story, but don’t let the world change your story either.

Wish we could have seen a Kendra-Faith discussion on their philosophies toward slaying because like yes they're opposites in some ways but they've also both fully accepted their slayerhood as a core part of their identities in a way that takes Buffy a long time

This is what one woman has become in her native Seanchan culture. Power-hungry and mentoring and tempermental and brutal, all in the service of breaking another human. She's been trained for this. You can tell. She's good at it and she's proud of that and I have never felt prouder of Egwene than when even Renna cracked - when her pride was damaged by Egwene's steel.

This isn't the face of a woman who feels like she's won. This is the face of a woman who's angry she couldn't conquer the other person sooner.

Egwene may have broken for a single cup of water. But Renna broke her calm for it too.
