Darlin used to be in a band with Quinn & Honey - They were called Rose n' Thorns, Darlin went under the alias Rose as the lead vocalist, Quinn was Thorns, the backup vocalist and Honey was the drummer. They were a metal rock band that blended the genre with Japanese lyrics in their songs (yes, this specifically is pulling on my Darlin, Darren Lancer)

Damien walks around his own place nude, he'll even sunbathe nude if he can. I couldn't tell you why I have this headcanon, I just have it. I think he just likes the suns rays or something, idk but none of the DAMN polycule mind it at all.

Daemons/Demons don't naturally have a set appearance as a race, their astral and physical forms are based on their psyche (traumas, personas, likes, core traits) thus none of them will ever share distinct traits regardless of being of the same classification. Some will look completely alien, others will look mostly human and some have fluid appearances.

OK SO GINGER METNIONING IMPERIUM BROUGHT THIS UP FOR ME. Shades are dead folk from imperium trying to steal life in order to materialize their form so that they can get another chance at a better life in the prime universe.

Morgan loves butterflies, it's his special interest. I don't think he has them framed but like he has notebooks filled with drawings and notes of different butterflies and what makes them all unique. Oh and Morgan is autistic.

Not a headcanon but I never said I played these games fairly ;3 I'm currently rewriting Vincent to be more interesting IMO. Don't get me wrong, I love him but making him a mentally ill nihilist with a tendency for over indulgence and recklessness that masks that with a rich kid persona is so fun and I won't apologize for it. I just think it makes him more fun and allows for his growth and change to mean more while he struggles with taking accountability for his actions,

𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥, 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫-𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐭.

Kathryn Merteuil from Cruel Intentions is portrayed by Ketu natives. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Amy Adams, and now Sarah Catherine Hook.

Characters that I randomly thought would be Kathryn Merteuil's daughters, just so happen to be played by Ketuvians; particularly known for having manipulative, cunning, power-driven personalities.

This relentless pursuit for power and control extends to other Ketu characters. I have explored this theme already in my Ketu Dominant Themes post, I just didn't use female characters as my examples.

Cersei Lannister is an extreme version of this archetype, set in this non-modern, brutal world in Game of Thrones, known for her psychopathy.

Being extremely ruthless and cunning, with a thirst for power and control and an unchecked ambition, it doesn't come as a surprise that she is portrayed by a fire sign native Lena Headey (Venus nakshatras share these themes, as well).

Reminded me of Cate Blanchett's character from Cinderella, Lady Tremaine, who has a desire for control and maintaining power. She is absolutely heartless and cruel.

The same actress also played Hela who driven by power, is absolutely cunning and even more ruthless, possessing this superiority complex.

Having this deep desire to dominate and conquer, it comes as no surprise that the actress has an Aries stellium; proving it true that the rashi comes first, as the signs alone can be known for these negative, power-seeking traits. These fiery traits in the Ketu section are specifically exaggerated. The Ketu rulership seems to not only exaggerate the traits of the fire rashis, but darken them too. Technically; Ashwini is Dark!Aries, Magha is basically Dark!Leo and Mula is just Dark!Sagittarius lmaoo.

Just shortly describing Hela's Ashwini traits, I thought of Azula, who is voiced by Magha Sun Grey DeLisle.

Having a fiery determination and borderline exaggerated Leo traits; much like Hela, she is obsessed with being domineering. Known for being cunning, extremely ruthless and driven by power and control.

Another Hela-type character is the formidable antagonist, Artemisia, played by double Ketu native Eva Green in 300: Rise of an Empire.

Similar to Azula, she is driven by vengeance and is relentless about it. She is extremely strategic and power-hungry, seeking dominance over others and causing destruction.

Both Magha ASC Eva Green and Magha Moon Katie McGrath played the character Morgana, though with different arcs.

Eva Green's version of the character is more overtly power-driven and manipulative, as she has a double whammy effect of the Ketu nakshatras. While Katie McGrath's portrayal is her journey to villainy as she grows a thirst for vengeance and power, becoming a formidable force in the series.

Madison Montgomery from AHS: Coven! Played by Mula native Emma Roberts, she is undeniably ruthless and chaotic.

She seeks power & status in the witch world, being cunning, mean-spirited and manipulative.

In the same season, AHS: Coven, we also have the ruthless and powerful, vengeful witch Marie Laveau played by Magha Sun Angela Bassett. She means to assert her place in the world, embodying LEGACY (Magha nakshatra nod, much like Azula who strongly represents legacy and her ancestors).

And alongside her is Ashwini native Jessica Lange playing Fiona Goode, another ruthless, cunning Ketuvian/Fire sign character obsessed with power, youth and maintaining superiority over others.

Speaking of power-hungry witches; Ashwini Moon native Kathryn Hahn plays Agatha Harkness, who has a lust for power and control, finding herself completely fixated on Scarlet Witch's powers and wanting to gain control over such an immense force to master it within herself.

Magha Moon Helena Bonham Carter played the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland, the character having a very fiery temper and an obsession with control. The Leo characteristics being exaggerated by the nodal rulership, she has an oversized ego and an extreme sense of self-importance, ready to inflict punishment on those who slight her.

A far lighter, less sinister, version of this Ketu archetype, is the Evil Queen in Mirror Mirror, played by Magha Moon Julia Roberts.

She still fits this highly manipulative, power-hungry archetype, her motivations rooted in status and control over the kingdom.

These characters thriving on power and control speaks to the emptiness and wounds they hold within. People who naturally possess power do not seek it, yet it seems to be a theme for these Ketuvians to be hungry for it. As if there's a beast inside of them that wants to suck things in and conquer, which makes sense for the Ketu x Jupiter polarity as Jupiter has excess to give out and Ketu wants to possess it (as I've talked about Ketu constantly absorbing things & people intentionally or not). The more cunning portrayals show how these characters live through their domineering force, deliberately using it to pull things under their control; ready to combat any outside forces that mean to take away their status and things that signify power to them. This combativeness is specifically shown in Ashwini Moon Blair Waldolf who becomes very combative when threatened. I believe people forget that Ketu alone is different from Ketu nakshatras. The fire signs will always remind you that they're fire signs, that's why observations like "Ketu nakshatra people have zero ambition and only seek spirituality and they represent nothing" is a completely one-sided statement and a disregard to how the houses and signs ruling these nakshatras operate. If this observation were the case, then I wonder what the Ketu gold-digging archetype implies if not everything I talked about.

Ilvermorny Headcanons from an American

While Ilvermorny has a pretty decent Quidditch team, there is another sport for which they are less well-known for: ice hockey. I mean, come on, they’re on a mountain in the middle of Massachusetts, how can you NOT have hockey?

Members of Pukwudgie House in particular are absolutely VICIOUS when it comes to hockey. You wouldn’t think it, since they’re meant to be the healing house, but they are. Even Wampus is scared to DEATH of facing them off, and many Pukwudgies spend more time in the penalty box than on the ice.

Students from the wonderful state of Louisiana are NOT to be messed with. Some ignorant Southern boy tries to start some racist crap? A Karen even thinks about calling the cops on some poor kids for no reason at all? Voodoo can and will be used, and they’ll be left for gator food in the middle of the bayou before they know it.

Speaking of voodoo, Madame Laveau was a student, was offered a place in all four houses, and chose Pukwudgie. No, I am not taking any questions.

At class reunions, each state puts on their own talent/art/musical act, which is then judged in a contest by the teachers. New York, California, and Tennessee nearly always win.

Native American students do very well in Herbology and Potions, and medicine men and women are very well-respected in Native American wizarding culture.

There was only one attempt made by Hogwarts to visit Ilvermorny…which was made in 1812. Chaos ensued, many curses were thrown, and the only reason why people didn’t die was because even through the castle’s enchantments, Muggles began noticing that something was happening up on Mt. Greylock, and both sides had to back down.

Beauxbatons, however, were and still are, very friendly with Ilvermorny, and it was said that Lafayette, himself a former student at Beauxbatons, even studied there for a few months before the Revolutionary War kicked into action.

As for Durmstrang…McCarthyism. Red Scare. Need I say more?

how does Al feel about historical figures from Louisiana like Marie Laveau?

• Alastor feels pure interest because it's a big part of Louisiana history, — and if we talk about voodoo, he didn't practice voodoo at least openly in mortal life, but as Louisiana-born believes in many superstitions

• fun fact number one, Al knows Marie Laveau in person, and she thinks that he's aggorant; fun fact number two, Marie Laveau knew Al's great-grandmother in mortal life :'D

• she noticed that deer sinner reminded her a bit of someone, got excited when found out Al was related to one of her friends, and showed him great-grandma's skull

• Marie is the Tainted on second stage of decay, with snake scales on arms, neck and back; she lives near the swamps, feeds snakes and does some witchcraft and spell-casting (Marie treated demons with respect, and demons return this favor)

• Alastor's great-grandmother from mother's side, Marjolane, was half (or quarter?) Choctaw and baptized Catholic, this woman was lucky enough to be born before the Louisiana Purchase in 1803; she was officially considered as father's heiress and even became a wife of a white French Creole man

• strictly speaking, there are almost any non-Creoles in Alastor's family for four or five generations (everyone who was born in Louisiana was called a Creole), and in terms of roots Al's blood is like a gumbo soup

• at first Marjolane was just a customer at Marie's salon and gossiped about locals, then they became friends (their life situations were similar in some ways), and future great-grandma attended voodoo gatherings

• husband thought it was nonsense (wife, chill, that's stupid, you have several children), but then he also felt interest and went to gatherings with her; later spouses had to stop, — Marjolane was almost accused of worshipping demons, — but women kept in touch until deaths

• when Marjolane found Marie Laveau a few years after death, she asked to cut off her head and take care of skull when she started to decay and lose sanity

The Coven and Kyle Dealing With Jealousy Issues (Young!Reader, just for the record!)

Cordelia Goode, Fiona Goode, Zoe Benson, Madison Montgomery, Misty Day, Nan, Queenie, Myrtle Snow, Mallory, Marie Laveau and Kyle Spencer!

Cordelia Goode

Cordelia would be upset, of course.

She would let her insecurities get the best of her when she sees you talking to someone else and seeming too intimate with them.

But I don't think she would let the intrusive thoughts win that fight, not this time.

Cordelia doesn't want to seem so possessive. She's not like that, and she knows it would bother you a lot if it was miscalculated.

So, regardless of the situation, she will just leave where she is, walk to you and wrap her arms around your body, pulling you close to her, her eyes analyzing detail by detail of the other person.

"What is so funny?"

She would ask, pretending to be clueless, so she could take control of the situation better.

Internally, though, you can be sure that a few dark curse words and some not-so-friendly spell ideas are going through her mind, without her being able to show it aloud or with gestures.

She would have her arms around you the entire time, keeping you close until the other person understood that you were hers and nobody else's.

And when you guys get back home, she would insist that you cuddle with her to make up for the moment of insecurity and jealousy.

Fiona Goode

THE QUEEN of drama and jealousy.

Honestly, making Fiona jealous is like leaving a predator without prey.

Of course, she takes great care, despite her strong temper, not to seem like she's trying to pull you out of your comfort zone and push you away from the world for her sake.

But no one (nobody at all) goes unnoticed in Fiona Goode's eyes.

She will probably go to great lengths to touch you in the best places, just to tease you and make the person next to you feel uncomfortable enough to leave.

"It's a shame, my dear, but they're taken."

Just imagine her husky voice saying that, right in your face, also to tease you and to make sure she looks wild when she's jealous?

Fiona probably wouldn't let you talk much longer with the person afterward, or say goodbye. She would pull you to where she is and keep looking the whole time to see if the person isn't following you.

And if so, you can be sure that she would throw the person to the wall with no shame and no fear of being in public.

When you guys got home, she'd make a scene, again, to let you off the hook because she's a drama queen.

There would DEFINITELY be make-up sex.

And it would DEFINITELY be the best sex you've ever had in your life.

Zoe Benson

Crying, drama, insecurity and a little bit of fighting.

Zoe is overly afraid of losing you, but not to the point where she won't let you hang out with other people, friends in general.

The problem is that when the person starts to take advantage of the situation, Zoe becomes confused and desperate.

She is quite similar to Cordelia, though, when it comes to handling the scene itself.

Zoe will just cling to you to make sure she's in control and to make sure nothing bad happens.

However, things get worse on the way home, when she is silent throughout the ride.

She will probably lose her mind when justifying herself, letting her insecurity speak louder and expressing in an exaggerated way how important she is to her.

This is troubling because Zoe knows it is.

Anyway, when the fight is over, she will need some time to think and then she would probably come to you again, to apologize.

"I didn't want our relationship to be a threat, but I'm really afraid that you'll leave me for someone better."

She would hug you and then apologize if she sounded too possessive.

You would end up in a good mood, cuddling and thinking of a way to improve your relationship without jealousy that would be harmful to both of you.

Madison Montgomery

If you thought Fiona was the drama queen, wait until you see Madison.

She just can't control herself.

She doesn't want to control herself.

Every time someone comes close to you, she pulls you close to her very willingly and gives that typical killer look to whoever is looking at you two.

Madison is extremely possessive, especially when it comes to you.

Sure, she doesn't go around hitting and cussing people out for no reason (even though she can do that), but just staring Madison Montgomery intimidates a lot of people.

"How many times do I have to tell you that you're mine and nobody else's, (Y\N)?"

She'll find a stupid excuse to fight with you.

And then she'll drag herself out, pouting and apologizing, confessing how horrible she is as a person.

Or she will probably ask you for kisses to fix the situation.

There's make-up sex, but Madison isn't urgent and aggressive, not that part. She just wants to make love to you so you know no one else would top hers.

Misty Day

Misty is oddly bipolar with her jealousy of you.

Some hours, she may seem too possessive and feel the urge to punch someone because she thinks she's too inadequate for you.

But in the others, she handles it generally well, and just gets a little grumpy.

Considering that years of seclusion in the swamp have prevented her from feeling anything serious about anyone, being jealous is a very unusual and weird thing for Misty.

She doesn't know how to handle it well at first, but she learns to control herself. And she doesn't want to hurt anyone, most of all, especially you.

So most of the time, Misty will just slowly walk over, hug you and let you rest on her chest as she kisses your head and turns to the other person with a sweet little smile.

"Excuse me, the conversation must be great, but they already have a girlfriend, I'm sorry."

On the way home, she would insist on being isolated in her corner for a few seconds, and it would take a considerable amount of time to admit that she is genuinely jealous of you.

But overall, having Misty jealous is just as adorable as having her around.

Nan

Nan is not that over the top when it comes to being jealous of you.

I mean, except for the fact that she can control people's minds - and easily can control hers as well - she doesn't show overly jealousy, and maybe isn't even overly jealous.

She knows that you would never betray her like that, nor would you exchange her for anyone without a reason behind it.

But, of course, Nan has her moments of extreme caution.

She first assesses the person, reads their mind to be on the safe side, just to know how to approach them without scaring you off.

If it's someone who is clearly just someone close and significant to you, she'll let it go, take your hand and gently lead you away, apologizing later.

But if she catches some ulterior motive, oh, then that person is probably screwed for life.

"Oh, sorry, I read your mind, I feel something is wrong and I want to secure my territory. (Y\N) is mine and mine alone."

Nan doesn't like to fight with you, and when you have alone time, she just wants to make sure you're comfortable with her and that your relationship is going well.

The two of you cuddling after discussing the relationship and making a decision about Nan's adorable bouts of jealousy.

Queenie

Get ready for the jealous queen.

Honestly, I feel sorry for the person who decided to test Queenie's patience, especially when it comes to you.

She hates to think about the possibility that you would replace her, but it's impossible not to when everyone else has already replaced her.

Queenie is not at all afraid to approach the person and you when they are jealous.

And she'll hug you and kiss you real quick just so the person on the other end understands that you already belong to someone else.

I don't even need to go into detail about her being a voodoo witch, do I?

Of course, Queenie's case isn't as severe as Marie's, but there would definitely be a thought about creating a doll of the person.

Although Queenie knows the limits of voodoo and knows that it would be cruel if you knew she was hurting someone out of jealousy, so she won't even bring it up and will promise to forget about it quickly.

LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of curses. Every one she knows.

"Listen here, pervert, they already have someone, okay? Get the fuck out!"

You wouldn't fight, even though she always ends the day with a hot head.

She just wants you to know that you're important to her, and that nothing and no one in the world could ever break the bond you have.

Myrtle Snow

Myrtle knows how to deal with feelings, but she's not ready to be jealous of someone.

That's why she is confused about this, about her behavior when she notices that you seem quite happy in the company of someone other than her.

Since Myrtle doesn't control her impulses, she will probably approach you and make up an excuse for you to pull away from the other person, without using excuses or justifying yourself, just getting you out of the way.

No, she would never commit any atrocity with the person who was chatting with you. Myrtle Snow promised that she would change that part of her behavior for you and she will keep it until the end.

"I don't understand, (Y\N), I felt strange… seeing you with them…"

"That's jealousy, Myrtle dear", you'd say, laughing and finding that very cute.

Myrtle would certainly ask Cordelia for advice after the first scene of jealousy, for fear that she was feeling something really wrong, or even to cope better without running the risk of pushing you away.

Anyway, as long as she doesn't lose you, Myrtle doesn't mind feeling weird…

Mallory

Mallory wouldn't handle jealousy, that's the answer.

She would feel too awkward to set boundaries with you, and anyway, she would feel awkward approaching someone out of the blue.

But even if she insists on not hurting you, that feeling that something is wrong would haunt her forever. And that's one thing Mallory would never admit.

Then she would be content to approach you very slowly, putting a hand on your shoulder or wrapping your hips around. And look the person on the other end of the conversation straight in the eye.

"Don't you think you've talked enough?"

She won't say it in a possessive way, but she will turn extremely red when she's done, pulling you back and taking you back to where she was before.

The conversation would be calm and sincere, and Mallory would express that she loves you very much and that she just couldn't bear to lose you.

But she knows you love each other too much - and she loves you enough - to just take care of you like no one else ever would.

Marie Laveau

I just wanted to say that anyone who decides to make Marie Laveau jealous is pretty crazy.

She LITERALLY is the Voodoo Queen, what did you expect?

Years of experience to be sure how to handle such a situation.

Marie won't let it go and will immediately talk to the person who is showing ulterior motives towards you (and believe me, she knows very well when a person is or isn't…) "They already have someone, and that someone isn't you, so get the fuck out."

She wouldn't dare call you names or fight you out of jealousy (definitely Marie is someone who thinks it's cheesy to fight out of jealousy and make a scene)

A LOT of make-up sex.

She loves to tease and tease you during sex after a jealous scene like that.

Marie loves to get you flustered, she thinks it's cute and she's even more in love with you when she's done teasing.

No, no chance of having a person's voodoo spread in Marie's quarters.

Or, at least, not that you ever found out about it…

Kyle Spencer

Songs that might actually have real magical power connected to them / may double as a spell.

Vocal spells fall under the element of air since we need air to speak and wind is is what carries our voices and our intentions in our voices. The reason some spells rhyme or are in a foreign language different from the native language of the caster is because that makes you focus more on the words and the intention and meaning behind those words. This focus is what gives vocal spells their power. Whether an incantation, chant, vocal invocation, or, yes, a song.

Here in my top ten list of real pop songs that might double as spells or have magick infused into them.

Disclaimer: Some of these are harmless but others might actually be considered dangerous. Proceed with caution.

1. The Witch Queen of New Orleans by Redbone. Often played on Halloween radio dot net this song is a classic. According to legend if you make an offering to the great Marie Laveau and then dance to The Witch Queen of New Orleans you might invoke the spirit of Marie Laveau. She will grant a boon to anyone who can win her favor.

2. Sympathy for The Devil by The Rolling Stones. It doesn't matter who sings this, according to some rumors, any time this song is performed live, someone near to the performance will drop dead. Whether from being trampled, heart attack, or drug over-dose. The song is considered to be cursed. Even River Phoenix's death may be connected to it as a new cover of the song was being recorded for the movie Interview with The vampire around the time of River Phoenix's death. He was supposed to play Daniel Malloy, the reporter, in the movie. The role ended up going to Christian Slater.

3. Heaven is a place on Earth by Belinda Carlisle. Ever since I was little I took this song as a sign someone I knew and loved was going to die. The song doesn't cause it, but I noticed that it would happen to be on the radio, particularly walking in to a store, shortly before someone's death. Some writer on the 2019 Swamp Thing series noticed something similar and had the song tied to a haunting in an episode of the short lived series.

4. Witches' Brew by Omnia. The lyrics to this song are actually words from Shakespeare's MacBeth. The play, MacBeth, is supposed to be cursed. According to one version of the origin for the superstition, Shakespeare got his Weird Sisters scene from observing an actual witch coven meeting and when he used it in his play, the real witches cursed him and the play. It's a popular theatre superstition that you are not supposed to say MacBeth except in regard to the character's name and to only refer to the play, itself, as "The Scottish play."

As the song Witches' Brew by Omnia is just the dialogue of the witches from that scene put to music, the song is considered to have a power of its own and may also be cursed.

5. Bad Moon Rising by CCR. Many know this song from its use in An American Werewolf in London. The song has been on a few Halloween albums and is also considered a rock classic. Some people have considered the song to be the musical equivalent of a mild hex or The Evil Eye. Mild bad luck has been associated with the song.

6. The Ballad of the Witches' Road (Lorna Wu / Pop version) from Agatha All Along. In the canon of the show the song is a protection spell for Lorna's daughter to keep a family's generational curse at bay. The lyrics, out of context, seem to be about the road of life, particularly for a Pagan or Witch, and the importance of love and its eternal and infinite power. With the references to real occultism, the song might have the power to enhance or infuse a spell casting potential if only slightly. Besides being an affirmation of faith in magick and love. Consider it a magical espresso or booster shot, particularly for Wiccans and some other Neo Pagan groups.

7. Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr. This is an adorable one. Apparently the song, Ghostbusters, was infused with a lot of positive energy such as the emotions of playfulness mingled with hope and so many people can't help feeling a sudden and unexplained optimism and / or joy when hearing it. Ray Parker jr., himself, believes the song can make you smile even if you've never seen the Ghostbusters movie to understand its context. It just makes you feel good for reasons you may not be able to explain.

8. Remember by Ember from Danny Phantom. This song is considered to be cursed. I don't even like putting it at number 8 on the list. Originally it was written for the TV show Danny Phantom. The song gave the backstory of the ghost Ember and how she died. A fan named Randy Robert Stair became obsessed with the character to the point of delusion and ended up shooting up a local store in 2017. The song is now considered tainted by these murders.

As the song was originally the angsty backstory and battle cry of a vengeful ghost from a kids show the song already had an innate negativity to it despite the catchiness of it. Some people even claimed they didn't like to sing along to it or even hear it because any time they dared do that one of their pets would fall ill within a month and die.

9. Angels by Within Temptation. This one is a slow burn justice spell. The song may invoke spirits of justice and if they deem your cause justified and worthy, those who wronged you will be justly punished within three years of the use of the song as invocation for angels of justice.

10. Locked within the Crystal ball by Blackmore's Night. Just an affirmation of faith in the magick that exists in the elements of nature.

11. Bonus mention: Anything written by Charles Manson including The Beach Boys Never learn not to love. All considered cursed. Anything by Fleetwood Mac / Stevie Nicks is magically infused. Stevie Nicks is a practicing witch. And certain songs by David Bowie are about occultism and Kabbalism.

What costumes would DJATS characters wear for Halloween 1978?

Uhmm, cool one!!! Tough though. I pictured the shows actors and looks for this to work.

The band gets invited to a Halloween promo party at a Haunted mansión themed club party where everyone is presented the fancy way and like going down stairs, as everyone famous or cool IS going...Yeah so they have to be wearing a costume :

Lisa & Warren dresses as Gómez and Morticia Addams, he says that for once Gómez IS played by a latino. He keeps being disgustingly kissy all night long and throwing crass jokes.

Karen dresses in black leather trousers and almost seee through black shirt. She wears tons of makeup. She looks like a Barbie doll gothic edition. She wears red lenses and looks super sexy. Then just before the party she sprays herself with fake Blood and puts fake fangs...etc voila She's a Bloody Vampiress!

+ Graham dresses as a old time XIX cowboy, leather Duster jacket and everything , but Karen convinces him to be a bit more cool and terrifying, to match with her, so he puts some fake Blood on him on his neck and he brings his childhood fake toy gun and a spike , so now he IS a kinda punk Vampire Hunter cowboy. He looks amazing.

Camila dresses as a Vampire too, with sexy make Up (see Camila Morrone Nars Lipstick promo makeup) with a long flowy classy black dress and puts a very simple neck two fangs wounds. She sews a tiny black Witch dress with shiny bits,very pretty, 20's like gown for Julia, with a hat and everything, the hat part IS constantly rejected by Julia , that has other plans...and throws a tantrum until she gets to...wear a red wig, to be dressed as Daisy.

Billy Finally convinces Julia to be a Mini redhead Witch , so both his Girls are Happy. Julia gets the wig, but throws her hat all the time, Camila seems content, but is slightly sad and holds Julia's hat all the time she throws it away . Only just with the shiny black dress (that looks eerily very similar to the dying on the shower Daisy's outfit) she totally traumatises (unwillingly) Billy (for obvious ptsd reasons).

Speaking about the devilBilly...He hates this kinds of things, he always dress as himself with a sticker putting : Myself or alt "RockStar" or "Julia's Dad " "Camis husband" "Graham bro" "Daisy's Shithead"...Etc XD.

This year, and after :

1- Daisys jocking taunting him about last years non effort crappy costumes (75' 76' and 77' previous home parties).

2- Camila's sadness over the hat she made for Julia

and

3 - Julias tantrum.

He , for once, says fuck It! , and makes a Halloween effort, and a great one. He buys a profesional costume like those wore by actors. He looks sexy , regal like he just came out of the XIX century... And he dresses as a Classy regency Vampire, He even cuts his hair shorter just before the party, like when he was twelve, because Camila had told him that He would look super cute like that now too, to surprise her and make her Happy, after Julia's drama. Then he puts into good use the new beard he was growing (my inspo was thirsting over Sam dressed as Edmond Dantes at some of The Count of Montecristo promo pics and It showed XD). Also he wears fake fangs and a bit of fake Blood on his lower lip. He looks like The sexiest™.

Simone accompanies Billy for the surprise to her old time expensive costume store , and she dresses as a old time Queen Voodoo Witch (picture Marie Laveau) She looks like a queen (like always).

Bernie and Eddie dresses as a pair of terryfying realistic Zombies, as they both went to remind Daisy about the party (Bernie ordered by Simone and Eddie by Rod) ; then she uses them as her Makeup Guinea pigs... And gives them some clothes - that the lousy Nicky left forgotten at her House after the breakup- covered in strawberry Jelly. Then she creates fake wounds on both of them with melted cheese sheets and makeup on their skins, to create realistic fake wounds that seems ripped chomps of skin and meat. The both look like munched corpses. They scare themselves and the others. Simone IS super traumatised for Bernie. They are delighted if cheesy smeling XD. Warren jokingly steals one wound from Eddie and eats It. Everyone goes eew!!!

Rod dressed as Drácula a la Bela Lugosi. Super dapper.

Teddy dresses as an ancient Warlock, like Gandalf lord of the rings book drawings.

Daisy comes 2h'30 mins late, everyone thinks she forgot...and to be honest she kinda did forget about the party the first 30 min , until she got reminded by her dear zombies XD

But nope, shell be the Halloween Queen , she IS secretly that "unhinged for Halloween" group friend who likes to traumatise the rest,. She puts a super sexy silky White dress (inspo IS a dress Riley wore once silky and White) , but as she has inherited her father artistic drawing talent , she draws wounds on herself too, she puts something sticky red on those face and arms wounds, and some Green juice too, then she wets and messies her hair too, and goes shoeless...As adult Regan from the exorcist.

Also - as the dramatic little shit she is (affectionately)- She enters the party doing theatrics mimicking the unfamous stairs scene (those artistic gymnastic classes paid by her parents should be put on good use right?) Almost everyone feels like fainting or gets trauma wide mouthed, then as she stoods Up, Daisy just evil laughs...XD

Only one not traumatised , Its tiny Julia, who inmediatelly goes to Daisy hugs her and ask her if she likes her costume . Daisy praises Julias costume, as her "Kid self" was a terrifying little Monster, and after watching Camila holding the hat and Billy trauma face when watching Julia, she convinces Julia into wearing the hat and of being Witchy Baby!Daisy , as she always wanted to be a Witch as a kid. Camila silently thanks her. Billy seems relieved.

Julia then slightly concerned asks Daisy if she got chickenpox " like I did when I started school" and then scrached like she did XD

Billy almost dies of laughter after that.

Everyone relaxes then and has a great time.

Julia wins the costumes kids award of the party as Mini Daisy.

Simone wins best female costume. Billy Its tied with Graham as co winners for male costumes. Daisy wins the best scare /scary time , but never gets invited again to the club party, as the old owner almost got a Heart attack XD

She then start a tradition of making a Halloween party at her House... Everyone Its terrified to go (sauf Julia, brave little nugget she IS).

As an Adult Julia grows even more unhinged than Daisy for Halloween...Dressing as Samara from the Ring or as La Llorona and keeps jumping from corners !!! Billy IS very afraid of her during that week and blames everyone for it. Camila shrugs It off, she's used to that dumbasery already XD.

Laveau Rambles - Diversity-ish in my work

I've recently sparked an inner monologue with myself on the topic of diversity and representation in NeXus because these are things that matter to me and I introspect on what my values on the topic are as a VA and an artist. I know it helps to make people who aren't seen often in media feel less lonely in the world. One feels more empowered to believe there is a community for themselves out there and that's why I make diverse characters.

That said, the monologue I had with myself is identifying where diversity begins and where that line ends for myself as a person who is not genetically made up of all the races in the human species.

Let me explain; I am indian/african/carbbean indigenous (kalinago)/white and that's it. I am not chinese, nor filipino and I'm definitely not mexican, which makes me take into account that I am not above perpetuating racism against other people in an attempt to represent them.

I am fully capable of fumbling that at some point and I take to try not to do that because a.) that would be embarassing on my part frankly and b.) my intentions are to always shine a light on other people and provide others with exposure to folks outside of their own perspective, not to use them for entertainment. I can only speak to the list of experiences that I am accustomed to partaking in so that makes writing for characters of other races hard.

Which it should be...because condensing the experience and perspective of people who are not living life under the lens I do is not easy. It takes work. It takes research, long hours of reading, listening and parsing through personal stories and accounts of things I cannot and am not able to be there for and that's work I want to do.

I want to try and see how I can push folks who are like and unlike myself into the sight of others who don't understand their culture or know the issues that they face under a largely white capitalistic society because there are legitimate issues to talk about, especially given how deeply those issues run in places we don't expect to see them in (I am talking about fandom). I find joy in learning how people see the world, hearing what defines their lens of society and being witness to other people understanding that the world is bigger and brighter than they thought because it's fun to me.

With that in mind, I am not perfect. I can push and produce narratives that miss points about certain cultures and that's my bad when I do and if I have done it thus far. As a writer, I want to be able to show people the cool things and the deeper understandings that people have about the world while telling a story. I want different points of view to affect how characters interact with each other and see that world which influences the themes of the story because I know that putting a indian character in a cast not mean that's representation; seeing a character who looks like myself and responds and reacts to things with the same attitudes and beliefs that I hold and the perspective I have is representative to me. Especially when done well.

Why ramble about this then? Well, mostly to show that you are allowed to doubt yourself in how you go about producing media. It's fine. There are no police who will knock on your door for having a hard time learning about and unlearning things. I think it's ok to struggle in it because struggle shows that you're somewhat trying (so long as you're like actually putting in work and research to actually show for it). It's hard work and it can sometimes be personal because it involves understanding perspectives that can vary in difference to your own and it's sometimes not something you want to let other people see for fear of judgement. I however want to do that because I see value in it.

All that to say, it's hard but it' also weird to not try. Like, bring about a refusal/acknowledgement to event attempt diversity/representation in your work. You're within your rights and there are no police who will come after you, but it's weird to present forward. Sometimes that's because your particular piece/narrative does not necessarily need that diversity because its themes are not entirely relevant to the idea of diversity which is like ok. It's a very context based thing and you can do that. It's still weird though.

Marie Laveau. Voodoo Queen.

Marie Catherine Laveau (September 10, 1801 – June 15, 1881) was a Louisiana Creole (free women of color) practitioner of Voodoo, herbalist and midwife who was renowned in New Orleans. Her daughter, Marie Laveau II (1827 – c. 1862), also practiced rootwork, conjure, Native American and African spiritualism as well as New Orleans Voodoo. Her daughter was to me the most powerful one.

Her Real Story. Her house was probably on St. Ann St. She would have lived in a creole cottage similar to the one in this picture but probably not as clean.

She did have kids with her husband but there's no record of them as adults so they probably died young. Her and her husband did get married at St Louis cathedral he was a Haitian man. Then sometime around 1825. Jacques Perry her husband so called disappeared they tried to make it a big mystery but in all honesty people back then didn't really report that loved ones death. After St Louis cathedral burned down they lost all the records so later on she started calling herself the widow Perry which gives the idea that Jacques did die. The story of her actually being a hairdresser there is no record her being a hairdresser there was a book that was written by George Washington Cabal in 1880 who wrote about a voodoo priestess who was a hairdresser and people later on assume that he was speaking about Marie Laveau which I think is a cool story to keep her memory alive. There is only one article that mentions her and voodoo but we don't know a 100% if she did practice it or not, I think she did as well as being a root worker. Now there was also another man Kristoff Glapion and one of the stores that they have of him is that he was born a free man of color but records show that he was actually born of two white parents. She wasn't married to this man kristoff because at that time a black woman could not marry a white man but she did stay with him and lived their with him until his death. The historian believe they stayed together for probably around 30 years. She did pout him in the Perry tomb. After kristoff died she was in so much financial debt they had to sell off the house on Saint Ann Street to pay for his funeral and anything else that needs to be paid off. So she didn't have a place to stay until one of their family friends name Crocker bought the property and let her stay there until she died.

HER FATHER'S ETHNICITY : She was born Marie Laveaux, as her father was Charles Laveaux. Many sources are in error stating her father was a White plantation owner. He in fact was a Mulatto grocery store owner, born a free man of color. He is allegedly the son of Charles (Don Carlo) Trudeau and an unknown Laveaux.

Legend.

The legend of Marie Laveau it runs deep through the veins of New Orleans. The Voodoo priestess was believed to have been born free in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana, about 1794, the daughter of a white planter and a free Creole woman of color.

The source of this power was the Voodoo religion and its queen, Marie Laveau. She was worshiped at the same time she's was feared by people of all races. Some people believe that her powers were actually based on a network of informants. Being a hairdresser, she was able to lesson to her clients (mostly white) gossip. She used this inside information to influence and instill fear in her believers. Whether or not the legends of this Voodoo priestess are true, it cannot be denied that she has left her mark on the city. She was buried in Saint Louis Cemetery No. 1 in New Orleans in 1881. Her daughter in St Louis cemetery no. 2

MARIE LAVEAU II MYSTERY: There is myth and mystery behind a named Marie Laveau II. No document listed a Marie Laveau II as Marie Laveau's daughter, but the name sure does have a crazy story behind it, claiming that Marie Laveau had magically become Marie Laveau II so she could live on forever. Truth is, Marie had a daughter named Marie who was a devout Catholic as well as Marie-Heloise who did not turn to Voodoo and died in her 30s. Any of those Maries could have been twisted into the stories, by name only, as none of them were Voodoo practitioners as far as we know.

To this day her and her daughters tomb continues to attract visitors who unlawfully desecrate it by marking three “X”s (XXX) on its side, in the hopes that Laveau’s spirit will grant them a wish. Ok, let me say first no one who practices Voodoo whenever desecrate a grave of writing on it second she isn't a voodoo spirit since Louisiana Voodoo is part Haitian and African she's not a elevated spirit. She's a woman that is well known and well respected within our city. What she really is in voodoo. She's a conjured spirit similar to a saint she is called upon to do a specific task.

BECOMING A DEVOTEE: these days Marie Laveau devotees are no different they still believe in Jesus and saints, just as Madame Marie did. They go to church, pray the rosary, and work the gris gris. Some voodooist here in New Orleans believe Marie Laveau is one of the Lwa (Loa) in Voodoo tradition. She is not a elevated spirit but is a folk saint. She is honored on many altars and shrines through New Orleans. People pray to her or even make wishes to her. Understand who she was and what she did for people and the city. The rituals and blessings she preformed like the St John's Eve blessings. So get to know her.

BUILDING AN ALTAR Building her altar isn't complicated a statue or pic of her. You can add flowers. Candles white, blue or red or even add her veves. (symbol) (normally she wouldn't have the symbol because she's not a voodoo spirit but she's important so they made one for her anyway)

OFFERING: This can be flowers, mini liquor bottle, cigarettes, cigars. Money she's not picky.

Your relationship with spirit will be different from the next person’s. The connection you make with Marie Laveau will be unique to only you.

Did Eugene or his near relatives own slaves? Since hes a "southern gentleman" so I assume his family were part of the southern planter class. this family had never belonged to the wealthiest landowning class (they were more merchants than planters), + before the Louisiana Purchase in 1803 there was native american blood in their line, so Eugene jealously maintained the image of decent white man, Confederate veteran, and was considered a gentleman not so much for origins (he wasn't very wealthy and wasn't pure white, it was hard to find pure white person among local catholics, descendants of french and spanish colonists) as for manners, dignity and french creole pride

Marjolane, Eugene's mother, was the last who fully owned slaves

in her old age, widowed, having buried several sons after epidemic and war and becoming more religious (especially after repenting her interest in voodoo because of friendship with Mary Laveau), Marjolane freed all their black/mixed-black slaves, hiring some of them as servants; one of freed women faithfully served Eugene's family, babysat his children, two sons and daughter, and was like a mother for girl

this had a noticeable effect on little Matilda, because she often listened to nanny's stories and as she grew older, she began to realize how complex the world was

Matilda was actually lighter in comparison than Angel, sicilian (his arab blood was a factor), she was red-haired, with mostly european facial features, but not so dark as to be considered 100% woman of color, + father never brought up the fact that they have choctaw blood

besides, they were french catholics; french catholics had more relaxed attitude toward mixed-raced because of cultural and religious specifics, but Jim Crow laws were Jim Crow laws, and separation still existed

What’s something you wished people did more with redacted designs?

Oh gods, okay, I'll make a bulleted list but the main/biggest one: More. Fucking. Diversity. Racial, Body Type Wise, Ability Status Wise, all of it.

We're a hefty fandom, I don't wanna keep seeing the same 3 designs circulate forever for a speaker. That said, here's some other things:

Emphasis bold italics on the body type thing again. Give me body types other than twink thin and sculpted muscles with abs, I promise there's more out there /lh

Leaning into some of the fantastical/non-human side of things! I love when people get funky with the d(a)emons designs or design the wolves with animalistic touches even when they're not shifted, things like that.

I love hearing people explain their influences behind designs honestly? This varies from artist to artist but I think about how some people will be like "I designed this listener with (insert piece of media) in mind" or "I designed this speaker with the style of (insert musician)" in mind, that kind of shit. OOO or visual motifs— Don't get me started about how roses are fundamentally associated with Darlin and Quinn in my brain because of @mr-laveau /lh /pos

Speaking of visual motifs, I'd love to see more clothing styles used for any of the designs. I'm not a big fashion person naturally, so it takes more digging to figure stuff out/see what jumps out at me

Those are the things that jump out most to me though. My favorite thing to see in Redhead designs is variety in an artist's design catalog mixed with seeing them having fun with it obviously. (I can always spotlight some of my fav Redacted artists if you're curious)
