be normal about people who wear diapers. be normal about people who need colostomy/catheter bags. be normal about people who need to wear pads or pad their mattress. be normal about incontinence. it’s not funny or weird or gross, it can happen to anyone of any age, and it’s frankly embarrassing that some of y’all can’t be normal about the aspects of disability that ick you out

As a person who has a familial history of drug abuse, THIS!
It’s so infuriating that teen smoking rates were at an all time low in the US and we were on track to basically eradicate smoking and nicotine addiction in teens like it was flat out uncool to smoke and then They came out with nicotine injector flash drives that light up and taste like cotton candy. And have lead in them.

Hello, hello, hello, my good people! My newest fanfic, Caviar and Cigarettes, taking place in the Harry Potter universe, has just been released! Chapter 1 was released yesterday, and Chapter 2 will be released sometime tomorrow. My account is @thatwriterchick23 on Wattpad if you all would like to follow me and check out the story!
The Dark Arts and her practitioners seem mysterious and dangerous to most people in the wizarding world. But for Evelyn Whitlock, an American veteran Auror with over a decade of experience, they are her bread and cheese. Having moved to England several months prior for a change of pace after a horribly failed marriage, Evelyn has little time for the matters of the heart, and all the time to devoting herself to bringing Great Britain's most prolific magical offenders to heel.
Which is why Lucius Malfoy, one of England's wealthiest wizards, is so loathsome to her.
Having divorced his wife Narcissa several months earlier under mysterious circumstances, and having been named "Most Eligible Bachelor of the Year" by the Daily Prophet, Lucius is as cold and arrogant as he is powerful and shrewd. In short, everything that Evelyn hates, especially considering her family past.
But when a crime is committed against the person that Lucius loves the most, and Evelyn seems to be the only person who can help, the two must find a way to work together to ensure that justice is served...and come to terms with their feelings for each other in the process.
This, dear readers, will be the mixing of rich and poor.
Of Muggle blood and pure blood.
Of caviar and cigarettes.

Hey everyone. I usually try to keep things lighthearted on here, but I feel like I need to be serious for a moment.
Some of you may know Eugenia Cooney, but for those of you who don’t, she is a YouTuber and Twitch streamer who mostly does beauty and clothing videos. She was really popular in the 2010s, and has over 2 million subscribers.
Unfortunately, Eugenia struggles with the eating disorder anorexia, and on her recent Twitch stream, she appeared to be struggling to drink water, and almost threw up. This is a sign that her body can no longer retain water, and that she is close to death. While she has attempted recovery from anorexia in the past, she has implied in several videos that her mother is emotionally manipulating her into preventing her from seeking help.
Since Eugenia won’t, or is unable, to seek help, I believe that God has placed it on my heart to begin a prayer campaign for her soul on Hallow, which I have done, in the likely event that Eugenia passes away. This will run from today until July the 2nd, and you can find the link below. While I never watched any of her videos, I pity her greatly, as I also have struggled with self-image issues.
You are under no obligation to join, but any participation will be greatly appreciated! Please share this with as many people as possible!

Fanon: Catholic guilt
Canon: "Father, I screamed at my parents, robbed three banks, organized and participated in an orgy, enslaved my classmate to force him to discover how to create an atomic bomb and sold the instructions on Reddit. I am very sorry, I won't ever do any of those again and did my best to undo the consequences of my actions."
*Prays the I am very sorry prayer written on the card glued on the confessionary*
Father: that will be three Hail Marys for penance. Go and be good now.

My fellow fanfic writers, I am in DESPERATE NEED of advice and wisdom.
So I have this really cool plan for a fan fiction idea, and I really want to get to writing it. I think people will really like it, and it’s something I’m enthusiastic about.
The problem is, I already have a fanfic for another fandom I’m writing, and I haven’t updated it in ages. I don’t really feel like it represents my writing style and technique anymore, so I’ve been toying with the idea of maybe deleting it from my page. But I also don’t want to disappoint my readers.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

if you defend BDSM, this is what and who you are defending (major trigger warning)

But what about when subs use their safewords? Oh wait, the community pressures subs to “push their limits” because that’s what a good sub does. A good sub obeys their master. How can you claim a community that spreads “a good sub obeys their master” also simultaneously gives subs the true freedom to consent, when not consenting is something the community will snub you for?
But the women can leave any time they want right? These are totally non-manipulative perfectly health relationships right?

But even though she’s being manipulated in to it, she still always consents, right? So that means everything is A-OK right? Because BDSM communities never have people who ignore consent, right?

And what was the community’s reaction to this sub reporting this abuse from her dom?

Oh they closed the thread for being off topic, because they don’t give a single shit about what happened to this woman. Their agenda is to protect abusers.
Also, for those who like to go on and on about consent–consent is on-going and enthusiastic. Consentual non-consent makes no damn sense because true consent can be revoked at any time.
But most subs enjoy it! They love being dominated! This is just showing those who BDSM wasn’t right for! I can hear you arguing these things, oh abuse apologist BDSM defenders, but you’re ignoring something important. Subbing is a form of self harm. Submissive people need help, just like other self harmers, not to be abused and exploited by manipulative doms.

Do you think it is healthy for an individual to view themselves as lesser and inferior to others? Or do you think these people need help?

And doms will try to manipulate people in to consenting to things they don’t want to do. They believe these desires are normal and healthy but they are not. Below is an example of a dom ignoring that his partner thinks BDSM is unhealthy but he doesn’t care, he wants to figure out a way to manipulate her in to saying yes.
Doms also give each other information on chemicals to use to knock women out and rape them. Because it shouldn’t come as a surprise that people with this type of mentality–who get off on controlling other people and using humans like sex objects–could be so detached from empathy that they are capable of the most despicable acts.

Doms control the lives of their subs. People who say that the sub is in control are flat out lying to you. The fantasy of BDSM is that the sub is in control, the fantasy is that it is safe, sane, and consensual.

Doms admit they go for women with mental health issues in order to exploit them.

And subs are limited to a community that supports their abusers over them, so they think abuse is normal, that they just have to take it, that they should enjoy it, and if they don’t, they’re a “boring vanilla” or “not a real sub”.

For interview with the vampire, what do you mean “elements of the story you disagree with”? Morally or factually?
Thanks so much for the question, Anon! You’re actually the first one I’ve ever gotten, so congratulations! 🎉
But to answer your question, most of the stuff I disagree with in the IWTV story is moral rather than factual.
LIKE, LESTAT, MY BOY, I LOVE YOU DEARLY, BUT WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS!?
But I feel like that’s part of what makes the series good! Everyone in it does REALLY questionable stuff, but they also have really admirable qualities that make them interesting and unique! Is it campy? Absolutely. But it’s also a deep dive into the human psyche and condition, and that’s always been fascinating to me.

So I’ve been starting to get into the Vampire Chronicles fandom lately, and as a Catholic, there’s obviously some elements of the story that I disagree with, but l’m still loving it, and I hope to get into the books soon!
One of my headcanons is that even though Lestat doesn’t practice anymore, he has a very real, very intense dislike of Huguenots, and can and will fight them if given the opportunity.
Louis has had to break up many (read: at least twenty-five, give or take) of these fights, one of which ended in Lestat calling the Huguenot in question a “half-witted, pig-headed b*stard,” and having to be essentially dragged out by Louis.
Feel free to add on!

I’ve been seeing this WAY too much on Twitter lately. The wackiest by far was a justification for slavery.
some dudes will be like "it's hard to find real, good women these days" and then straight-faced say things that would rightfully get them beaten half to death by any woman or actually decent man
