-gavin is 100% addicted to sugar (he’s always eating candy and desserts and drinking sweet drinks)

-darlin’ is insanely ticklish but the only one knows is sam because no one else would dare get that close to them (sam comes up behind them and pokes their sides while they’re not paying attention and they flinch hella hard) ((he also tickles them when they’re in bed together))

-as a teen, darlin’s parents would not let them do anything without david (because they would undoubtedly get into trouble otherwise)

-vincent acts incredibly corny ironically just because it annoys/embarrasses lovely every time

-darlin’ is a pretzel purist (obsessed with them)

-if gavin is arguing with freelancer, giving him a lollipop with make him shut up 99% of the time 

-gavin and freelancer look at each other in sync and judge other people

-asher and baabe argue once a year

-freelancer and gavin fought like one time in their first year of dating and it made freelancer cry like a lot especially to damien (he told gavin after they made up “never let me catch you making my best friend cry again, do you hear me?”) 

-david and darlin’ are 100% siblings coded

-every other week david, asher, milo, and darlin gather together somewhere and talk about their mates and other stuff (mainly their mates) ((sturniolo triplets style))

Sam / Darlin Headcanons

[In no particular order]

✩ Sam has stretch marks on his hips and across his back from growing so fast after leaving Mont Blanc

✩ Darlin has a high pain tolerance so they literally don’t realize when they’re seriously injured sometimes

✩ Sam has a lot of faded scars on his hands

✩ Sam is the oldest brother, Darlin is a middle child - they both had to leave their younger siblings behind and still feel bad about it

✩ The younger pack members think Sam is the absolute coolest even though they don’t get to see him very often

✩ Sam still has David’s name saved as Mr. Shaw in his phone

✩ Since Sam convinced Darlin to start eating actual food they are BUILT - their muscles aren’t super lean and defined anymore, but they’re noticeably stronger

✩ Occasionally when they’re stressed Darlin will shift and lay directly on top of Sam like a wolf-shaped weighted blanket

✩ Sam hates the question “are you a tea or coffee person?” because people rarely accept his answer of “both”

✩ Darlin was very uneasy about any kind of physical touch after Quinn, especially skin-to-skin, so they almost exclusively wore clothes that covered their entire body for about a year - they feel safe enough to wear tank tops and shorts now

✩ Darlin likes holding both sides of Sam’s face when they kiss

✩ Sam pretends to be more oblivious to modern media than he really is 

✩ Before turning, Sam needed glasses - for a while afterwards he would still wear them out of habit

Fun fact!

Darlin and Sam’s anniversary is technically January 9th.

In the timeline it says nine days after the inversion (New Year’s Eve) is when Sam and Darlin made their relationship official and said they loved each other and Darlin called Sam their Mate.

In my opinion darlin has great fashion sense naturally and the only reason they wear run down, kinda unflattering clothing is because side of their lifestyle with Quinn and their subsequent hunt for him.

Once Darlin has a chance to finally settle down with Sam and get comfortable around him and embrace domestic life they rebuild their closet and fashion taste and become one of the most fashion forward pack members and empowered members in dahlia.

Redacted headcanons

Empowered people can have both natural and unnatural colored eyes with the majority having unnatural, but because half the population is empowered it's just seen as normal to the rest of the world

Shifters can still make wolf sounds (growling, barking, etc.) When in human form

When a telepath uses telepathy their irises glow for a split second

Empowered people can easily notice this, unempowered need to really be looking to notice

Being a shifter means your genetics automatically make you taller than average that's why Milo's slightly below average height is really bizarre to them

Both Darlin and Alexis are taller than sam, but alexis is slightly taller than darlin

James and Cutie are siblings and james is older by 2 years (MAKE IT CANON ERIK- WE'RE WAITING)

Angel definitely bumped into darlin once at a convenience store before being formally introduced to them and later went to tell david about the 'hot af metal babe' they encountered

Babe doesn't know how to drive or ride a bike, but they can roller skate like a mf

Asher once ate an entire polly pocket doll and he never saw it come out

Sweetheart once accidentally ate cutie's lunch at the department because it was packed in an identical container, but cutie didn't notice and ended up eating sweethearts lunch as well

then he comes along, and while covered in blood with an anger in your eyes so palpable he could taste, he looks at you and calls you darlin’. it was sarcastic at first, but the way it made your heart feel was so foreign you thought it must be from the blood loss. the more you see him, and the more he sees you, to your surprise, he keeps calling you that, darlin’. all traces of sarcasm gone, it becomes sincere. you became his darlin’, and before you knew it, he became your mate.
