✧ ˖ ° they all notice it when your eyes shift towards theirs for their approval when you do well during training, when you never say "no" to whatever they ask you to do for them. they think you're just eager to please. you're the shiny new recruit to the team, beaming bright and always ready to take on your next task, so they brush it off.

✧ ˖ ° simon is the first to really figure out how deep your servitude runs, what the real reason behind it is. it's during one of your missions together, him and johnny and you in a firefight. johnny gets separated from the two of you and he can nearly feel the panic radiating off of you at the thought of your teammate, your friend, being gone. you do a good job of concealing it, of pushing through it to clear the area before you bolt to go looking for him.

✧ ˖ ° it clicks for simon so quickly because he's been where you are before. he's felt that trepidation too many times, the dread dripping cold down his spine when the other end of the radio goes silent. he's felt that same dizzying relief when you both reunite with johnny and your shoulders visibly relax. so when you're all back at base and you're hanging back while you fiddle with your gear, he pats a heavy hand on your shoulder with a gruff "y'did good, kid," before he walks away.

✧ ˖ ° kyle doesn't quite figure it out in the same depth as simon, but he picks up on the way you get nearly giddy at any kind of praise or validation and how anxious you seem to get when you think you haven't done something as well as they want you to. as he gets to know you and grows more and more fond of you, he'll make it a point to encourage you and try his best to help you build your confidence in your abilities. it's subtle and obvious at the same time, a quick "nice shot!" over the radio during missions and a huffed "are you ever gonna let me win?" while you're sparring together.

✧ ˖ ° it's not something that's spoken between you two, but you know he'll always be there for you. being the closest in age (and social media knowledge) helps you both to bond quickly and strongly when you join the team, and eventually people start joking that the two of you are attached at the hip. and it's pretty much true; when you aren't together you're texting, sending memes back and forth and talking about how bored or entertained you were in the moment. during missions, you're checking in with each other every few minutes, to the point where simon starts getting annoyed.

✧ ˖ ° price can see it in you the same way he can see it in so many of the recruits that join the military seeking purpose and approval. you're looking for a reason that others will give you to keep going, and he wants to tell you that you need to find your own reason, that you will find your own reason, but it's not something for him to explain. instead, he'll show you a gentleness that he doesn't often show; it's not outright obvious, not enough that others besides probably the rest of the 141 will notice, but it's enough that you'll see it. encouragement and very slowly helping you build your confidence is the road price takes to help you. quiet affirmations after training sessions, positive feedback surrounding the negative, a heavy hand thumping against your back when you do well- price is quiet, but he notices.

✧ ˖ ° as for johnny, well... he's not oblivious, per say, but he'll be somewhere along the "realization scale" close to kyle. it's not something that he's personally worried about himself all that much. johnny knows his talents and capabilities, and the confidence he's built up after a decade in the military is unquestionable. but you haven't had as long as him, as any of them to climb to their level of self-assurance, and he's aware of that much at least.

✧ ˖ ° when he sees you struggling internally with your self-doubt, johnny always swoops in with something to lighten your mood. he brings up that you've mastered a particular move in training already or how impressed he was that you're already able to bring himself down while sparring. johnny sticks near you when he can; he'll eat meals with you and work out with you and just enjoy your company during your free time at the base. if he sees you struggling with something during training, you become certain that he'll always pull you aside after everyone leaves and help you until you've got it down.

✧ ˖ ° as a whole, the men of the 141 task force aren't great at outright reassurance and emotional help. they're hardened soldiers who've proven their worth time and time again, but they know you haven't had a chance to yet. so with their unknowingly combined forces, they'll do their best to make sure you do get that chance, to make sure that you know how much of an irreplaceable and valuable cog in their well-oiled machine you've become.

BUT I'll tell u guys abt this uhhh kyle/demar baseball au i had written up. MLB au 😭 Despite the fact i barely remember shit abt it beside playing it when i was young and quitting not because i was bad but because i hated the socks lol. BUT STILL.... i watched sandalots years ago so in sandalots we Trust.

So DeMar is the second baseman on the sox. He's the Maimer of The Middle, notorious for his double plays. Getting to third base isn't only a difficult desire for sexually frustrated couples with bad communication, but for runners too. And as a hitter, Deebo may not be a homerun hitter, but he knows how to work the midfield. His swings get the ball flying Just out of reach where the glove Thought it was going to be, tricky and precise. It's not a swing that'll get him straight home first try, but his legs will get done what his arms couldn't

Kyle is the catcher on the cubs. Broad built, hard headed, he knows how to run his defense. His mouth is just as famous as his mind, causing countless batters to turn around and start spitting. He's great at riling the other team up and encouraging his own, especially when Jimmy gets a little crazy with his pitching. Many batters have probably considered 'accidentally' 'somehow' hitting Lowry with their bat on a bad swing when they've had enough with the little man and his little man mind games. As a hitter.. he's not the greatest. Most catchers aren't in that area. He's not all that fast and powerful swings can be a powerful toll on a physical body which already gets torn enough from squatting all day catching mile per hour balls. He can usually get a walk and then wait on Bam to get a strong enough swing that he'll still be walking on the way home

The two teams are rivals. DeMar and Kyle are rivals. And they are Rivals rivals. They both take turns reveling in being each other's bête noires, frequently exchanging trash talk at the plates. DeMar laughing at Kyle's run, taking his time with getting Kyle out like a big cat toying with its prey before biting its throat out. Then JayZ laughing the whole time as Kyle stomps back to the dugout. Kyle taunting DeMar at the bat, yelling for everyone to move up cus it's a close hitter. Turns to the stands and tells them to watch out for foul balls. DeMar spits his sunseeds at Kyle and Kyle just snickers. Tells him he swings like shit at each miss. They have... Fun.

Rudy Gay is Kyle's athletic trainer, and he had him trying some workouts at a different place because they had the specific equipment needed for his conditioning at the moment. Probably something knee or shoulder related. But who does he see at the gym other than DeMar DeFuckingRozan . More banter happens, slight Bonding ? Slight tension? Possible friendship starts to bloom.... they care more for the other, start figuring each other out more. When they meet again, their laughs start to become less cruel no matter how hard they try. Things get... interesting. Kyle convinces his trainer to keep them at this gym, which rudy agrees to instantly because he actually orchestrated the whole thing as the genius mastermind meddler he is (also he likes talking to DeMar's trainer, belovedly beguiled Boogie <3). But kyle tells demar it's just a health thing, not a decision on HIS part. Totally.

Uhh but near the end, both their teams get their asses beat by LeBron and his light shattering swings. DeMar gets his team's ass kicked first with him taking most of the blame. Kyle's team puts up a bigger fight and loses in a classic controversial 'He's safe!!!' Umpire call that kyle did NOT agree with. A catcher arguing with an ump? Never good. To conclude THAT saga... they both stunk it up.

Yeah same, I've thought about that a lot and love that concept. I mean -- I think that's actually some of the appeal of k2 in the first place?? 

I've always thought of Kyle as having a compassionate side, despite his fiery temper and everything. Kyle usually has a strong will to do the right thing or help like that, and Kenny's someone that could really use some extra care... depending, but in most cases... especially if you're like me and tend to imagine he kinda struggles alone to not burden anyone, overworks himself, doesn't ask for help, etc. 

Also Kenny generally maybe being too selfless to be helped/cared for... but that's also what Kenny likes about Kyle too, so he feels torn, and maybe also because getting attention from Kyle.....👀 But I love the idea that Kenny thinks Kyle’s just like that lol... 

These days I kinda flip it around though... like Kyle always seems like he’s toughing it out and got it all under control, being all logical about things... but he really needs to let his guard down with someone... hurt/comfort my beloved 

anyways Kyle eventually confesses he just thinks Kenny deserves better and the feelings set in and they kiss when they’re sitting really close together on the floor sharing a blanket <3

rp  pet  peeves / deal  breakers :  writing  underage  muses  but  being  gross  about  it  ( oversexualization,  sexualization  in  general,  extreme  focus  on  shipping / romance  when  they’re  like  children  --  aging  up  just  to  ship / smut,  etc ),  being  an  elitist  ( in  whatever  form,  either  with  aesthetics,  muse’s  canon,  the  whole  comic / book  >  film / show  bs. ),  toxic  shit  ( cliques,  bullying,  trying  to  collect  people,  etc ),  anon  hate  or  vaguing.  and  godmoding / metagaming / etc.

muse  preferences  fluff,  angst,  or  smut :  given  jane  is  still  a  minor  ( even  though  i  do  think  often  about  her  as  an  adult,  etc )  i  do  not  engage  in  any  s3xu4l  content  on  this  blog  specifically.  i  do  love  angst,  but  also  like  breaking  down  canon  events  in  thread  form,  writing  out  the  actions  characters  take  against  a  partner  is  usually  super  interesting  as  well  as  making  really  sad  plots  :)

plots  or  memes :  it’s  honestly  a  lot  easier  for  me  to  engage  with  someone  with  memes  because  it’s  something  i  can  just  immediately  jump  on  and  run  with.  plotting  is  great,  but  often  times  i  find  a  lack  of  interest  to  actually  discuss  indepth  or  one  party  is  contributing  more  ( and  sometimes  it  isnt  me  tbh  but  i  do  love  coming  up  w.  ideas  we’re  all  just  scared  of  rejection )

long  or  short  replies :  i  can  get  pretty  winded,  but  honestly  i  try  to  make  sure  it’s  necessary  the  length.  though  i  do  try  to  match  at  least  the  paragraphs  of  my  partner  i’ve  been  trying  to  be  okay  with  either  one  reply  shorter  or  one  reply  longer.  just  feeling  the  flow  and  writing  what  i  think  is  appropriate.  quality / having  fun > quantity !

best  time  to  write :  oh boy  it’s  usually  whenever  i  can,  these  days  it’s  either  early  morning  ( 7 - 9 am )  to  like  late  evening  ( 10 - 3am )  but  honestly  the  muse  strikes  when  it  strikes.

are  you  like  your  muse(s) :  in  a  way,  yes.  there  has  to  be  that  initial  connection,  source  to  tap  into  for  me.  though  everyone  can  pretty  much  right  anyone,  i  feel  it’s  more  engaging  for  me  personally  if  i  can  tap  into  a  character’s  feelings.  though  i  can  hardly  relate  to  jane’s  experiences  in  the  lab,  i  can  understand  the  feelings  and  try  to  tap  into  it  that  way.  i  think  the  muse  i  connected  with  most  has  been  her,  dan  torrance  and  carl  grimes  because  of  their  rough  childhoods  and  having  to  grow  up  in  traumatic  conditions.  writing  them  has  actually  helped  me  throughout  the  years  with  coming  to  terms  w.  my  own  trauma.

Regardless of how one feels about sex, I never got how it turned one of Kenny's biggest traits {loyalty} into something that's nonexistent. And drugs? I don't recall one instance where he uses syringes or pills. It was always stuff like sniffing things like paint or cheesing; stuff to get high. (Kyle did acid, Cartman has used injections, Jimmy apparently done ecstasy, TWEEK) I always felt the "worst" he would do is weed; which is now canon. (Also, did we forget he used Mysterion on his parents)

ur so right anon!!!! speak more of your truth!!! loyalty has always been one of kenny's traits, and just being a selfless person i think my favorite, early example of that was in i think s2 e2? or e3 where he sacrificed himself just for the hospital generator to work, i rlly started liking him more from that (also the fact that he rly just went through the sewers and all, just for him to die, i know it was a gag but still)

as for the drugs part, ikr!! maybe its more of an environmental thing like his parents doing the drugs and being in the family thing are likely to influence children to the same when theyre older but!! so do the other parents?? gerald cheesing as well and randy. (if not for the weed, then for growing coke??) dont get me started on tweeks parents. i think its much more cooler and admirable that he beat up his parents knowing how drugs are affecting his family rather than turning to using it himself.

i rlly like short hair wendy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i also hc them as nonbinary (she & they pronouns) and bisexual B) I think they’d latch onto cool female superheros as a teen (is that me projecting? maybe) like batgirl n stuff (also because some versions of batgirl have the purple/yellow color palette like wendy usually does). I think even if they’re not dating Stan the two of them would still be really close friends and really supportive of eachother! what are your thoughts on eric converting to judaism? it's a little hard for me to imagine due to his past (he's still a child, an abused one at that, and CAN change) but converting to judaism wouldn't just be a change of beliefs, it would be a change of life and philosophy, unless i'm wrong. how do you think it would happen and why?

oh it’s one of my all time fav hcs, ive talked abt it several times cuz i jus absolutely love it, it’s so damn sweet to me… like cartman rlly making an effort to show kyle that he’s changed & that he’s devoted to him aaa ... good shit. plus as a jew i would fucking melt if someone was willing to convert for me like,,,, idk it’s so sweet ;-;

im not sure what you mean by “due to his past” … what, the misguided antisemitism? so someone who was antisemitic out of ignorance as a child couldn’t become a practicing jew for the sake of someone they were in love with? i think if anything that makes it much sweeter, that he’d be willing to convert for his boo, regardless of what he was conditioned to believe by an ignorant mother, priest, and a good chunk of the townspeople, not to mention the media he consumes. it’s my hope that he’d unlearn all of that out of love for kyle - why not take it even further and hope that he might convert for him? we know cartman can’t do things quietly or subtly, he likes to take things as far as possible in as grand of a way as possible; why not this? why not the ultimate gesture of acceptance and appreciation for his boyfriend’s religion; taking it as his own? shit, he’d probably throw himself a huge bar mitzvah ceremony (adults can have them; some jews have a second one, or a first if something prevented them from getting one as children, and some converts like to have a first one) and market it as the event of the decade lmfao. 

and not necessarily! cartman’s not overly religious in canon, and not particularly devoted to catholicism, so even if he grows up influenced by christian beliefs, as most nonpracticing goyim do, it’s probable religion won’t be a big part of his life - and i can’t see kyle as being extremely religious, either. but the cool thing about judaism is that it’s as much about your heritage and culture as it is about your faith in g-d. i’m agnostic myself, but i love everything about judaism and once i’ve got my own place (i live with my folks currently & they’re secular) i intend to be, hmm, selectively modern orthodox (some of the orthodox beliefs do not mesh well with my gay ass lol) - entirely out of wanting to keep the traditions of my grandparents alive, you know? it’s not out of obligation, it’s just something that’s important to me. 

and even if kyle didn’t feel the need to be a practicing jew in any capacity, it’s still an important aspect of his identity; he’ll always be jewish. besides, within canon, he’s very proud of his heritage, so i don’t see him abandoning it completely. he’d likely need prodding to participate in holidays, a lot of jewish young adults don’t celebrate if their moms aren’t around to make them lol, but i think he’d still make some effort to keep judaism around in his life. and cartman showing his devotion by making the effort to formally convert, under a rabbi and all, once he was mature enough to make a decision like that and understand how much it would mean to kyle - it’s just such a lovely thought.

and like. cartman wouldn’t have to give anything up, nothing would really change. he’d probably be bummed about not getting christmas anymore, until he found out that plenty of jews celebrate christmas, since it’s hardly a religious holiday anymore. as far as beliefs and philosophies and lifestyles - i guess it’s weird because within south park universe, they’ve met jesus and he’s canon god’s son there, right? and canon the messiah? so in south park ‘verse, judaism, or at least judaism as we know it, would be obsolete then huh. but ig we have to suspend disbelief. 

anyway, again, i can’t see either of them being devoutly religious in any form. it’s just a matter of cartman being willing to take that step for kyle. it’s the gesture, you know?

plus i just like the idea of cartman buying them a super expensive seder plate and he doesnt even know what it is he’s jus like “oo pretty” and then makes a habit out of online shopping for pretty but overpriced judaica & kyle’s like “cartman we already have three sets of shabbos candlesticks we don’t need another!!” & cartman’s like “but it’s prettyyyy kahlllll”

Most of these are from NoPixel, but there are some from FamRP as well. Both are fantastic roleplay servers, constantly alive with story, 24 hours a day. Honestly, all of these people deserve to have thousands of viewers at a time, they’re too funny. And they all nail the drama when things get serious.

SirPink - Reggie, the owner and operator of Saucy Taxi. Because why would you even consider riding in a taxi that wasn’t saucy?

Whippy - James Tinklebottom is a troubled reporter. And “troubled” is putting it very, very lightly. Definitely watch this guy.

Afro - He literally created the dark web, and he plays the family of weirdos in control of it. He’s also Sayid, who runs LifeInvader after Norris lost his head, and Dexter, who’s bringing back Grove Street.

SmokySloth - The hardest cat in Grove St!

Ishyy - Australian badass and former mayor of San Andreas!

Abby - Abby is incredibly funny, go check her stuff!

Abdul - Abdul, AKA The Yellow Flash! He doesn’t stream all the time anymore, but when he does it’s still pure gold.

Cacalac1 - Chill and thrill with Kaley Doss!

Vader - Kudo Kai, the hilarious former Emperor of Japan and Paleto Bay... He’s also two members of the Grove St Gang.

Cyr - Joe Caine is a good guy, solid dude, always down for a nice chat. I have to admit though... sometimes I suspect Joe Caine might have a bit of a dark side.

Rahmee - He’s the nicest guy in town, and yet he’s almost always involved in the biggest crimes happening the city. The nicest guy to ever set you on fire. 

FortyOne - FortyOne puts an amazing amount of work and emotion into his characters, and it shows. He’s Funny Man (see his origin here!), constantly digging deeper into mystery, and Lucas Ortiz, who’s bringing racing back to San Andreas.

Hobbittrash - She plays a lot of characters, and all of them are hysterical. She constantly has me crackin up.

CrunchyShuffles - Grimoire Carolynne Hauttogs III... is a badass!

Kyle - Wyatt Derp... AKA... the Black Bandit... (and also Nightwing...)

Katie - Possibly the best. She plays a lot of characters and all of them are cool!

Lord Kebun - AKA Mr. Chang, the leader of the unstoppable Chang Gang.

Rlly - Rlly play the brilliant Kelly, who might be my favorite character in the game.

AirborneSpore - Chill with Judge Dennis, and or kick some ass with Pistol Pete. Check him out.

TastyTV - Bobby Irvine... “They say he's the greatest car salesman the world has ever known...”

Hedisaurus - EMS Hedi. Don’t sleep on the medics, they get up to some weird stuff!

Madmoiselle - Pixie Plum! The most powerful psychiatrist in San Andreas.

PonyPunch - He’s Dr. Death and he’s an enthusiastic Epsilonist... and a whole lot more.

Fist Of The Walrus - The nexus through which the mystic 5-dimensional entity known to human ears as Doob Dooberson expresses himself in the world. He also plays multiple hilarious characters in GTA V and Conan.

LtZonda - Larry Larrington is one of the funniest characters in the game... but they’ve locked him up! Why haven’t they let him out yet!? WHY!? SOMEBODY SAVE LARRY!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAH!

I think this is what Bethesda wants us doing with their new Fallout game, especially as we build up our settlements. Let’s go for it.
