I LOVE WHEN THE ARTIFICIAL INTERACTS WITH THE ORGANIC
I love when robots develop feelings and actual sense of self outside their programming and choose to be kind. I love watching the two sides conquer the fear and prejudice and just allow each other closer. I love seeing the two sides mingle and form a functional society where you don't have to beg for kindness and support and wahhhhhhh
Go watch the "Wild Robot" movie PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
#i think#wild robot#honorary mention for the “Felix Net And Nika” series by Rafał Kosik because it has so many “artificial” characters#I once saw a post that said that they all feel human while also distinctively not human#and op was damn right#I mean like#we have Manfred#we have Golem Golem#we have Roznakin#not sure if MK13-04 counts#probably not#I'm only on book 4 but DAMN I freaking love Golem Golem#we need more content like this. Kind robots. Wholesome sci-fi or whatever does this count as.#fnin#felix net i nika

rip konpopoz i miss you every day
am i the only one who always saw him as the vacuum cleaner from teletubbies? was it intentional??
#felix net i nika#fnin#i made this in 2 minutes#konpopoz has a special place in my heart#like i know hes free now but the one we knew is dead. he died. he could never truly escape no matter how many copies of himself he made#also remember roznakin? hes still there. still alive in some garbage pile#thats fucked up right??#i dont know if i want to go down the 'how ai are treated by humans (ibn specifically) in fnin' right now#maybe im just overthinking#but man IBN is not the same without him#like ai in fnin are portrayed as thinking and feeling while also being distinctly Not Human and i like that! thats a nice balance between#'cold unfeeling machine' and 'literally just a human in a metal box'#they are diffrent than us on a fundemental level but that doesnt mean theyre not#yknow. people in a sense#and kosik knows that#..... but its still kinda an iffy topic for me#the more you think about it the weirder this stuff becomes#okay i need to stop thinking about this

March Wrap Up 2024--
What a month that was. Did I read more than what I was supposed to? Yes. Am I mad about it? No. My goal for the year is to stay between 52 and 104 books read which means I need to read roughly 8 books per month (technically 8.6 or something like that) at the maximum. All this basically means is that I have to stick to reading 8 books next month. I blame the fact that my library hold came in 2 weeks early and I really didn't want to get back in line for it since it took so long to come in. Let's get to what I read and what I rated what I read.
Comics/Graphic Novels-- 1. Teen Titans: Raven by Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo--3.75 stars (original rating).
Novellas-- 1. Must Love Hockey by Sarina Bowen (Kindle)--3.75 stars.
2. The Dead Cat Tail Assassins by P. Djeli Clark (NetGalley)--4 stars.
Novels-- 1. No Coincidence by Rafat Kosik--1.75 stars.
2. The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu--3 stars.
3. The Stardust Thief by Chelsea Abdullah--3.75 stars.
4. Everyone on This Train Is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson (Library)--4 stars.
5. Ghost Station by S.A. Barnes (NetGalley)--3.25 stars.
6. The Foxglove King by Hannah F. Whitten--4.25 stars (original rating).
The average star rating for the month ended up being 3.5 stars which was such a surprise given that this is the month with my worst rated book of the year so far. Not too shabby though.

Dziwne.
Dzisiaj znowu mało. Wczorajszy mętlik w głowie doprowadził do zapijania głodu kawą i herbatą. Jadłam głównie warzywa i owoce.
Jutro jadę do Kłodzka. Akurat dzisiaj przyszła książka, którą zamówiłam w niedzielę i miałam spory kryzys moralny. Na szczęście pracoholizm i poczucie obowiązku wzięły górę.
Ta seria to moje dzieciństwo.

Cyberpunk 2077: No Coincidence by Rafał Kosik
2.5 stars.
I HATE that I'm not rating this at least a 4 stars, Cyberpunk 2077 is one of my favourite games and I really want to say that the concept of this plot was really fun. Definitely felt like a Cyberpunk story, It was emotionally dark and without pushing into spoilers had that sort of no hope feeling.
I just think it felt like a whole lot of unnecessary POV in this. Every member has there own POV parts, where I felt like only 3 maybe 4 mattered. Then we had the different Maelstroms and Valentino's POV, the cop, the corpo security dude, and a bunch of other people. There was so much POV it was pointless and messy. Everything the gangers do were at point mentioned otherwise, the cop was just going about investigating without bring any new details. It felt like they were trying to build more with all these other perspectives but they were just lacking.
The ending/reveals and twists is the only reason this ain't just a solid 2 stars. The story is so much everything I expect from a Cyberpunk 2077 story. Sad it wasn't as fun to actually read.
Finished 7th of December

in my defense: i had fun drawing this
i know Nika is more mature than the other two but. shes still 15. of course she does dumb wacky shit sometimes!!
yeah shes pretty girly(not a bad thing!!!) but also she lives alone. so she can eat her cheap-ass hawaiian pizza any way she wants with no one to judge her for it
#this is my contribution to society.#my art#felix net i nika#fnin#shes a 15 year old with telekinesis. of course she would do this#i dont care if shes 'mature for her age' shes 15. shes allowed to be silly!!#i dont go to the fnin fandom but i heard they dont like her there#everyone is entitled to their own opinion and im not claiming to be objectively right here!!!#but shes so complex?? shes so intersting and good and kind and bucling under the weight of years of trauma and the stress of being#15 and having to fend for herself!!! yeah the fact in almost every book she gets a storyline about miraclously avoiding being put in an#orphanage gets a bit redundant after a while BUT its also beacuse yeah. that threat is always there. one mistake is all it would take#for her to lose her school and friends and her apartment#also the way kosik writes his female characters is sometimes.... weird?? or is that just me???#like the fact the narrator CONSTANTLY separates the trio's class into boys and girls when describing what theyre doing#and the way apparently its physically impossible for a girl to understand physics or how a car works#except if youre a ghost of a girl whose father was a engineer i guess#and how every boy(except maybe for gerald but hes. y'know. a dick) is incapable to understand complex 'girlish' emotions#*of understanding#I LOVE THESE BOOKS VERY MUCH but the portrayal of gender and gender roles gets a bit uncomfy for me sometimes......#maybe im just overreacting and overanalysing........#im just passionate about nika ok?#and AGAIN i really have no idea what the fandom is doing so maybe its not bad over there#but i like sitting here in the methaphorical mariana trench where someone checks in every few weeks and thats about it#feeding on the marine snow(i.e. the very off chance someone besides me posts something fnin here)#its great honestly
