The Akkorokamui is also characteristically can self-amputate and regenerate limbs. Offerings to Akkorokamui is believed to heal ailments of the body, in particular, disfigurements and broken limbs

I was just chilling in my room when I got to thinking about some weird little things that König probably does, or just little traits about him. I think he is a bit of a cryptid of a human being but I love him dearly, so he's some cute little facts about König.

He speaks multiple languages

German, English, French, are pretty expected of him, but he’s also picked up a bit of Hungarian and Korean. Hungarian because of the shared border with Hungary, and Korean because drunk Horangi is determined to train König to be an actually adequately socialized human being and that starts with learning Korean apparently

König does not like being mistaken for being German. Part of this is just generally how Austrians aren’t too fond of Germans, but mostly it’s because König doesn’t like how people just can’t tell the difference and mix up the stereotypes

He also does have a bone to pick with Germany because during the German occupation of Austria, his grandfather had to leave the military and take a low-paying job in his home village

König is surprisingly conscious of his health, despite what he eats. He’ll go out of his way to eat healthy when he can, but when he gets too hungry he’s pretty quick to turn to binging

A part of why König is so concerned is that he was a chubby kid and a lot of people made fun of him for his size, so he’s always tried to focus on keeping himself in shape so he will never have to face those comments again

That said, König has a soft spot for sweets. A part of the reason he lives such an active lifestyle is so he can excuse eating more sweets

König’s favourite exercise is hiking, or if he gets a chance, mountain-climbing. He loves a full body exercise that keeps him fully occupied. He used to climb trees when he was a teenager (he learned fat kids aren’t supposed to climb trees, but a lanky teen isn’t such a problem apparently)

He has a strange habit of being in places he’s not supposed to be. It’s incredibly hard to find him because you just have no clue where he’ll be. He’s been found hanging upside down from tree branches before, or up in the rafters of a ceiling. He’s like a cat in how he crams himself into places he Should Not Fit

Speaking of cats, König loves cats. He’s a huge cat person. He has a slight fear of dogs after dealing with dogs in the military, so he’s a major cat person

What he likes more than cats are lizards. König’s dream pet is a monitor lizard. Either that or a massive tegu. He really likes giant lizards. He likes how friendly and quiet they are, and he likes the idea of walking a lizard down the street.

König doesn’t like aquariums. Not because he doesn’t like how they look, he can appreciate a beautiful aquarium, but simply because he finds the sound of a running filter drives him nuts

König is very fussy about noises in his home. He hates anything droning or high-pitched, and you could probably set off his PTSD with a loud sudden noise, so he tries to keep certain sounds to a minimum. He can tolerate the hum of a fridge, but he notably avoids vacuuming and turning on the AC in the house. He will turn on a fan or open a window before he considers using AC.

Thomas: Nixie (Nixy, Nix, Näcken, Naiad, Nicor, Nøkk, or Nøkken) – Guardians of freshwater streams and lakes, they are bound to the body of water they dwell in. Commonly spotted alone and are identified by the water continously streaming from their hair and clothes as well as the greenish sheen of their skin. They are amphibious and have legs as opposed to a tail. They are incredibly curious about land dwellers and much like dryads cannot venture far from their pools.

Newt: Dryad – (Because of the straying from the original mythos treefolk is more of an apt name) Originates from Greek Mythos, originally only female however some stories in the modern age allow for them to be male, this is where the term treefolk arises. Very few are sentient, these treefolk can take on a humanoid form and move a short distance from their tree. Treefolk will vary in appearance and personality based on the tree species.

Minho: Dokkaebi – legendary creatures from Korean mythology and folklore. Also known as "Korean goblins", are nature deities or spirits possessing extraordinary powers and abilities that are used to interact with humans, at times playing tricks on them and at times helping them.Legends describe different dokkaebi in many forms and beings with a thousand faces, and dokkaebi often wear hanbok.

Gally: Wraith – Evil spirit who is said to haunt people through negative emotions.

Ben: Púca (or pookha, puck) – Mischievous shape-changing creatures which can take human form. Known for its cunning and wile as well as lies and deception, Pooka's are known tricksters. Considered to be bringers both of good and bad fortune, they could help or hinder rural and marine communities.

Teresa: Harpy – A monster originating from Greek mythology said to have the face of a woman and body of a bird. Currently depicted with a more human body covered in feathers with wings and talons.

Brenda: Gorgon – Snake headed women able to turn men to stone with a gaze. In mythology women are unable to be harmed by Medusa, the most famous of the gorgons.

Winston: Ghoul – Monstrous flesh-eating spirits associated with graveyards. In popular legend, a demonic being believed to inhabit burial grounds and other deserted places.

Chuck: Faun – Humanoid beings with the horns and lower bodies of goats, however similar to Satyr a Faun is more childlike and innocent.

Alby: Satyr – Originating from Greek mythology, a nature spirit with the upper body of a man and the lower body of a bipedal goat with goat horns atop their heads. Typically depicted as a musical spirit closely associated with Dionysus

Had an idea to make a white tiger mink self-insert OC but she is in possession of a cursed artifact (maybe a mask?) that allows her to turn into her Sulong form without needing the full moon. Her Sulong form is based on the Jangsanbeom, a tiger-like cryptid reportedly sighted in Korea that has a red face, long white fur, and the ability to mimic voices and sounds.

Not sure what to name her just yet. One idea is Jayu which means "freedom" in Korean, which would be fitting because she might be part of the Revolutionary Army.

gavriil. — you think with looks like his he might sound like an actual angel singing to you while you ascend but NO. his voice very much HURTS. it's always echoes, almost vibrates and sounds like it's coming from your head. he can change it ofc and tone it done for you a little so you can talk to him without headaches <,,) somewhat official and ominous at first, wants to sound as menacing as possible for his first impression. but then, down the line and if he likes you enough, he'll be very casual and nonchalant, throwing in curses and all that. doesn't have a particular accent because bro literally knows every language on earth and more, sounds a little uncanny if anything. artificial maybe. but still just as lively, teasing and sometimes dramatic. purrs... sometimes. can speak directly into your mind and read it too.

xiaolong. — has the most enjoyable voice out the bunch. velvet, melodic, charming. always sounds very convincing and can sell you anything. literally the perfect host. languid and mellow, has a habit of humming "mmm"; "hmm?";"mmhm" and sighing. his voice claim is john park, korean va for espresso cookie, and i think xiao himself has a korean accent. very expressive but also very collected. won't say anything unnecessary. rarely curses.

taisya\tasechka. — jumbled and gurgled speech. absolutely horrid voice, but he usually speaks slowly so you can more or less understand what he says. breathes really hard and swallows words when excited. doesn't speak unless spoken to, and even then gives short, vague answers. no intonations whatsoever. prefers to just shake/nod his head or point and gesture with his hands if he wants something. has an ability to purr too but his version is a little more fucked up.

derzena. — monotone, expressionless, blunt. you will never understand if she's joking or not because this woman is like a BRICK WALL her face and voice never betray her. voice is raspy but pretty quiet, speaks slowly and steadily, clearly thinking everything over in her head before saying something. mimics human speech\animal noises to lure in men that are trespassing on her grounds to later eat them 💪 with her beloved often makes those quick "ekekeke" noises (like the ones cats make when they see a bird or smth...) to show affection. SAVE ME BIG cRYPTID WOMAN

veniamin. — rough, gruff voice. clicks his tongue so loudly he can probably shatter the fucking windows. exasperated and dramatic at all times. usually pretty loud, groans and sighs all the time when annoyed. in the mornings his voice is so raspy it's startling. curses a lot. mocks people's voices when he's angry at them or tries to put them in their place. or just to be a little annoying. HORRIBLE at singing yet does it all the time when he walks around in his house wearing nothing but a robe.

livy. — rarely speaks, usually resorts to clicks and chirps, maybe even hisses if threatened. doesn't have a lot of practice in speaking actual words, so it might be a little hard at first. at least for you, because he seems to understand you perfectly fine, it's you who doesn't understand what mothman wants from you half the time. surprisingly soft but hoarse voice... very warm sounding, idk. pauses and forgets the right words sometimes, but it does not stop him from teasing YOU.

when i saw the prompt webs & weaving i immediately thought about web!martin weaving spiderweb into jon's hair -- unbeknownst to jon who is just too blissed out by getting his hair touched, and apparently too asleep to notice his boyfriend has four hands (and also the, uh, spiders). the progression of gray in his hair is just subtle enough that jon can't make the connection which is perfect for martin who needs to keep track of him

But back to Kitterangi, catching him trying to lift someone's wallet and just, instinctively scolding him like you do your cat and realize what your doing to a potential harmful individual. Until your eyes fall on a familiar gold bell and staaare and in the heat of the moment, 'Not' Kitterangi promptly says, 'its a kink'. The Korean man's chatting up a storm, but as you get closer you realize the other man is basically silent.

You're passing by when you feel someone patting your pockets.

You whirl around with a huff and rip your wallet out of the Korean man's outstretched hand.

"Don't you dare!" you snarl, only to be taken aback by your tone.

"Dare what?" the Korean man's mask may hide his lower face, but his smile is clear as day.

"Dare..." you feel like you're scolding your cats back home. Why do you feel like you're scolding your cats? It's a grown man in front of you!

"Cat got your tongue?" the Korean grunts when he's elbowed by his taller friend.

"Don't," the big one grunts in some strange european accent.

"But it's fun!" the smaller one whines before he turns back to you, "anyways, see ya later, loser."

You're left flapping your jaw uselessly as the duo strolls away. You watch as they disappear into the crowd. How did you lose the big guy? It was like he vanished out of sight.

You're left patting down your sides. Your wallet's back in your pocket, your phone is there too. You're fine, everything's in place.
