The fact that the Danish king was free to ride around inspecting his city every day without an escort attracted a lot of attention around the world. Here, a British film company has received permission to film the king's return to Amalienborg, the royal palace. No year mentioned, but guess the 1930s.

The Royal Palace has announced that members of the Norwegian Royal Family don't want to be photographed by Hello or Netflix at Märtha Louise's wedding since the access for other media companies have been restricted.

- We are aware that exclusive rights have been granted to two media for the coverage of the wedding of Princess Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett, writes communications manager Guri Varpe in an email to NRK

- The members of the Royal Household have reserved themselves from being photographed and filmed by these two media, in cases where the press otherwise does not have access.

I forlængelse af tronskiftet den 14. januar 2024 offentliggøres nu det første officielle gallaportræt af Deres Majestæter Kongen og Dronningen.

Portrættet viser Majestæterne i galla med Elefantordenen i kæde, og fremover vil portrættet kunne ses ophængt i blandt andet statslige institutioner, herunder på danske ambassader og konsulater i hele verden samt på danske fartøjer.

Gallaportrættet er taget af fotograf Steen Evald i Grønne Sal i De Kongelige Repræsentationslokaler på Christiansborg Slot. Kongen og Dronningen er således portrætteret på det historiske slot i København, hvor skiftende konger og dronninger gennem tiden har holdt til.

In connection with the succession of the throne on 14 January 2024, the first official gala portrait of Their Majesties The King and Queen is now published.

The portrait shows Their Majesties in gala with the Order of the Elephant on chains, and the portrait can henceforth be seen hung in, among other places, state institutions, including at Danish embassies and consulates around the world and on Danish vessels.

The gala portrait was taken by photographer Steen Evald in the Green Room in The Royal Reception Rooms at Christiansborg Palace.

The King and The Queen have thus had their portrait made at the historic palace in Copenhagen where successive kings and queens have stayed over time.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra marked the end of 13 years of schooling. The princess has spent the last three years attending Elvebakken secondary school in Oslo. All the school's graduating students gathered in the Oslo Concert Hall for a party performance and a school graduation.

The medal is the Self-Government's most prestigious recognition and was presented by the Speaker of Greenland's Parliament Inatsisartut Mimi Karlsen during an audience in Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg. The chairmanship of the Self-Government wishes to recognize H.M. with the medal, among other things. Som et bidrag til festligholdelse af Rønnes 650-års købstadsjubilæum, arrangerer Bornholms Værn og Bornholms Museum i fællesskab en forsvarsudstilling. Denne forsvarsudstilling fik den bedst tænkelige åbning, idet Hendes Majestær Dronning Margrethe med følge af hendes mand prins Henrik, og deres børn kronprins Frederik (Frederik X) og prins Joachim. Planlæggeren, nytiltrådte Oberst I.E. jersing (1917-2003), Bornholms kommandant 1976-1979, ses lige til højre for majestæten, prins Henrik lige bag obersten, og man kan lige ane kronprins Frederik til venstre for prins Henrik da de ankommer til Bornholms Forsvarsmuseum.

As a contribution to celebrating Rønne's 650-year market town anniversary, Bornholms Regiment and Bornholms Defence Museum jointly organize a defensce exhibition. This defence exhibition had the best imaginable opening, as Her Majesty Queen Margrethe accompanied by her husband Prince Henrik, and their children Crown Prince Frederik (Frederik X) and Prince Joachim. The planner, newly appointed Colonel I.E. jersing (1917-2003), Bornholm's commander 1976-1979, is seen just to the right of the majesty, Prince Henrik just behind the colonel, and you can just make out Crown Prince Frederik to the left of Prince Henrik when they arrive at Bornholm's Defence Museum.
