Happy birthday, Olga Nikolaevna!
Born on November 15 (November 3 by the Julian Calendar), 1895:
"A daughter sent by God, in prayer we named her Olga. When all anxiety was over, and the terrors had ceased, there was simply a blessed feeling at what had come to pass!" (Nicholas II's diary)

Happy 127th birthday to Grand Duchess Tatiana Nikolaevna of Russia! June 10th 1897 🤍
The second bright happy day in our family: at 10.40 in the morning the Lord blessed us with a daughter-Tatiana. Poor Alix suffered all night without shutting her eyes for a moment, and at 8 o'clock went downstairs to Amama's bedroom. Thank God this time it all went quickly and safety, and I did not feel nervously exhausted. Towards one o'clock the little one was bathed and Yanyshev read some prayers. Mama arrived with Ksenia; we had lunch together. At 4 o'clock there was a Te Deum. Tatiana weighs 8 3/4 pounds and is 54 centimeters long. Our eldest is very funny with her. Read and wrote telegrams. - Diary of Tsar Nicholas II, June 10th 1897

Happy 152nd Birthday to Empress Alexandra Feodorovna of Russia (née Alix of Hesse)! June 6th 1872 🤍
"Many thanks for your dear letter and kind wishes for the birth of our baby, a nice little thing, like Ella, only smaller and with finer features, though the nose promises to be long." Princess Alice of Hesse to Queen Victoria, June 17 1872
"We think of calling our little girl "Alix" (Alice they pronounce too dreadfully in German)... I will add Vicky's name to baby's others, as you propose; and "Alix" we gave for "Alice," as they murder my name here: Allice" they pronounce it, so we thought "Alix" could not so easily be spoilt." Princess Alice of Hesse to Queen Victoria, June 17 + 24 1872
