It feels crazy that tricking Rebecca worked at all. Not that she’s an idiot, but this feels off for her even knowing what we do now.

What’s worse in this situation: Shura trying to assert authority on Muller given everything we’ve learned or Muller thinking he can really intimidate Shura AND Shiki?

Amira calling for help is a clever misdirect. You think she’s calling for the other people in the EZ Crew, given how she contacted Shiki and Shura. We find that’s not the case in the most amazing way.

Sister in this chapter’s giving her best Vince Lombardi impression.

Seeing Victory take Justice’s place must be such a good thing for the people hoping for happy Jelsie in this universe. For the record, I is included in people.

Not sure how I feel about Amira taking Cure’s spot on the OS Interstellar, but there are worse picks.

I have to give Mashima credit here. I was genuinely so distracted by Shiki giving Muller a vibe check, that I completely didn’t notice him giving us a panty shot from Rebecca. Is this a good thing or bad thing?

Don’t know how I feel about Muller going down so quickly. Like I’m obviously glad he’s gone, but I feel this should have taken a bit longer. Feels like we’re rushing through to get the old members, but to what end?

Come to think of it, weren’t they supposed to get Xenolith his old body back? Or am I just remembering that wrong?

Learning about the Doctor Who specials' expanded budget: oh no, what if they overuse CGI to look more 'professional' and high-budget?

The first scene of the Doctor Who Special:

I was talking to a coworker recently and offhandedly said I wasn’t exactly competent at a lot of things. He reared back in obvious visceral disagreement that made me stop midsentence.

“What do you mean you’re not competent?”

“I guess I mean compared to the people I’m surrounded by? I’m not very handy, I guess.”

He looked baffled.

I tried to illuminate with a story. So at the sex shop we needed to vacuum every night, right? But one time after my days off I could tell the carpets hadn’t been vacuumed since I last saw them. I asked the other girls why not. It turned out that the screw that held the handle on the vacuum had been stripped and it wouldn’t stay in. Why was that down to a single screw? Bad design.

So any attempt to vacuum meant the handle just popped off when the screw jumped ship. I looked over the vacuum. I found a junk drawer. I found the biggest screw I could that still fit in the hole wrapped it in tape to bulk it out. Then I shoved/screwed it in place. Then I duct taped the opening so that fucker couldn’t pop out. Voila, a working handle.

The other girls were utterly delighted that I’d fixed the vacuum but I was painfully aware that my solution was neither elegant nor long term.

My coworker listened. Finally he said, “I think being competent just means you have the ability to learn a skill you lack, and you can do that. Your solution worked, and you were the one that tried to fix the problem.”

I digested that and agreed, but admitted any new skill learned would prompt me to be a huge baby about it.

I will admit, it's a little embarrassing since you can easily see the patterns of what I've been listening to for the past year or two. I swear I listen to more than just videogame OSTs, these songs just jive well with the story and I often find lyrics distracting when brainstorming scenes. Regardless, the music I listen to is such an important part of my creative process and some of these songs really defined the scenes I now have locked in my head. So I figured it was only fair to give them the credit they're due.

I will continue to add to this playlist, and will note in comic updates when one of these songs is applicable!

btw i feel like this shouldn't have to be said but the reason that agatha hates rio is because agatha didn't get to say goodbye to nicky. rio couldn't offer her any more time. and, in rio's mind, nicky going peacefully in his sleep (and even telling him to turn around and kiss agatha goodbye!!) is the one grace rio feels she can give agatha. nicky doesn't suffer. he doesn't fight. he just...goes. he goes on a walk with his mother and kisses his mama goodbye. but agatha doesn't get to say goodbye!!! she doesn't get those final moments with him!! she wakes up and he's already gone.
