so, this kind of turned into me messily jumping from one idea to the other because i couldn't stick to one theme...hope you enjoy, anyway, though!:

kate always opens the door for the people she cares about. she's a chivalrous gentleman at heart so she loves doing that,"i've got it," thing while she reaches for the door handle. it's also a protective instinct that becomes engraved in her mind once she fully commits to the superhero thing.

the SECOND she sees you shivering for whatever reason, she slips off her jacket/coat and wraps it around your shoulders. she doesn't care if you're not that cold or if you tell her she's being dramatic. she'll merely secure her jacket around you and bring you closer to her body to shield you from the chilly air.

kate's definitely the type to lie down in the middle of the living room when she's feeling tired or overwhelmed. you make her buy a nice rug to stop her from lying down on the cold ground all the time. her "brain breaks" always end up with a sleeping lucky keeping her pinned against the ground. [she loves him too much to push him off]

she loses her mind whenever you wear anything purple, especially if it's a shirt or hoodie of hers.

she's not controlling or possessive in any way but she can't deny the way her heart races when you wear the arrow-shaped necklace she bought you as a gift. she had thought it was silly, that you would make fun of her for spending far too much money on something insignificant. instead, you made her help you put it on and you've worn it every day since.

kate can't sit in chairs correctly. it doesn't matter where she is or what type of chair she's sitting in, she's going to do something weird and claim she's somehow comfortable.

she comes up with the most ridiculous nicknames for you and you can't even complain because she always looks way too proud of herself.

also, holding her hand when the two of you are walking somewhere is a must.

sure!!! she's been big on my spotify rotation lately so this was fun :) kate got the most attention w this one bc i just know she’s so into chappell but there's a lil bit for all of 'em. also established bishova by accident hello???

agatha knows who chappell is because she’s a tiktok lurker. calls her the twinkly little cowgirl. with a fond smile.

kate pretends she isn’t as big of a fan as she is because she’s trying this thing where she tamps down the stan behavior because it almost drove clint away. and because being a stan with manhattan penthouse money is detrimental to her allowance (which isn’t so much an allowance anymore as it is just … her money bc the feds have eleanor and kate has access to the accounts that haven’t been seized). it’s silly to try and pretend she doesn’t love the things she loves but it helps that she’s not actually very good at pretending. she knows the school nights ep like the back of her hand because she believes in entire discography supremacy. likes the vocal differences between then and now, likes to be able to listen to someone’s growth. learned the term comphet in a good luck, babe! tiktok comment section. will wear merch shirts to the pizzeria and listen to hot to go! loud enough that the sound bleeds out of her headphones for anyone who passes to hear. she’ll do the dance while she microwaves that pizza for breakfast the next morning. calls it her ymca. will scream-sing good luck, babe! will jump on her bed and put on a messy lil concert of that one, too. says it tickles her soul like a past life lover. and if you dig around in her closet you’ll find a purple rhinestoned cowgirl hat.

maya likes her lyrics, thinks they’re smart and witty. the songs she can feel the best via bass and vibration when played real loud are super graphic ultra modern girl, femininomenon, and naked in manhattan.

natasha likes most music. and most things. her background (red room, espionage, superheroing) calls for adaptability. assimilation. she learned a long time ago to take everything in stride. there are things she likes more than others, of course, but most things are generally fine for her. she’ll make it all work. in that same vein it’s kind of hard for music to be really special to her. she mostly hears chappell when kate throws parties. she and yelena are similar in that dancing probably won’t happen unless someone else drags her into it.

wanda likes some of her slower songs. picture you, kaleidoscope, coffee, casual. likes when they come on shuffle. will queue them up to listen to while she reads, cooks, or gardens. 

yelena won’t listen to chappell on her own. won’t listen to much of anything on her own if it isn’t something she used to listen to with alexei when she was little. she’s one of those people who does most things without a soundtrack. most things in silence. including working out, which kate says is serial killer behavior. but she likes when kate plays chappell. she’ll nod along, tap her foot, start to smile. sometimes she’ll ask kate to play “naked in the city” even though she knows that’s not what it’s called. she just likes the little unimpressed face kate makes when she gets things wrong on purpose. yelena doesn’t really dance but every once in a while she’ll let kate pull her around the kitchen in a half-assed pantomime of it. she’ll sway to slower songs. she’ll hum along. and she'll always slow dance with kate to love me anyway.

Who plays with the other hair more? Does Yelena braid the 4 feet of hair Kate walks around with? Does Kate ask her to teach her the braids? Does Kate ever get miffed at how Yelena has perfect hair like 99% of the time, but Kate's is in a ponytail and flopping wildly at the end of the night?

-Yelena's protectiveness is activated in fights, based purely on knowing she has more experience than Kate and some would say is the objectively better fighter. Kate argues that the only way for her to get more experience is for Yelena to let that happen, and not to be patronizing. This has meant a lot of evenings spent with Yelena tending to Kate's wounds, but it's never as bad as Yelena thinks it's going to be so she's earned her stripes Kate tends to be more protective of Yelena's emotions

-It takes a long time for Yelena to warm up to the idea of letting someone play with her hair, but once she finally lets Kate do it, she tries to get her to do it every night without having to outright ask

-I could see this one going a lot of different ways. I've been rereading "Little Women" recently and there's a line about Amy and Laurie's relationship describing Amy as "dignified in public but affectionate in private" and I could definitely see that being Yelena's style. It takes a while for them to find a level of PDA they are both comfortable with, which usually means hand holding in public and the occasional chaste kiss. The first time Kate sat on Yelena's lap with other people around was at the Bartons and Clint was like 96% convinced this was some kind of weird power play that Yelena had conceived of to fuck him up and also roast him for suggesting two guest rooms

so many at any given time, lovely anon. i don't know if you had something specific in mind but i'm gonna leave a few of my current/favorite headcanons here:

kate is INCREDIBLY forgetful. she doesn't do it on purpose and she hates it but there are way too many things going on inside her brain at one time for her to focus on the mundane things she has to do like replace a glass she broke or buy a new pair of boots.

she definitely puts up sticky notes EVERYWHERE. on the bathroom mirror, on the fridge, on her bedroom door and she still manages to forget things.

it doesn't really bother her until she starts dating you and she keeps forgetting planned dinners and important dates. you never hold it against her which just makes her feel even worse. so, you take over for her.

you replace the old, worn-down, sticky notes with your own. they're a ridiculous pastel color that looks more ghostly than purple but something about the change in handwriting seems to help her. [or maybe it's just the fact that you went out of your way to do something nice for her]

speaking of her bad habits, she's touch-starved as hell.

it's not like her mom has ever been the warmest of people and she's definitely never gone out of her way to get the affection she so secretly craves so she just writes the need off and tells herself physical touch just isn't her thing...except it is.

it's such a subtle, comforting thing that she doesn't even realize it. she just knows she loves holding your hand and snuggling up with you on the couch while you watch some trashy movie.

you never question her about it but you know deep down, she needs the affection more than she lets on. something that becomes incredibly obvious after she comes home from a mission gone wrong and immediately collapses into your arms. she's tired and bruised and so done and yet she holds onto you for hours like you're her personal charger.

LASTLY, she has a lot of trouble sleeping sometimes [mainly due to nightmares and worries but also just her restlessness] so the two of you get into the habit of making tea and sitting out on the fire escape. Which was especially hard when she went off to college.

She'd try to keep you out of the Ronan, Maya, and tracksuit business for as long as she could, but you found out spectacularly fast from her suspiciousness.

Which that would end up with you pestering her until she introduces you to Clint.

And that interaction by itself would be a whole scene in your guys' aunt's condo.

You'd tell Clint embarrassing stories about Kate's obsession with him since you guys were kids.

When you eventually meet Yelena, you'd take a big liking to her and Kate would be super skeptical about your guys' friendship. Considering the whole her being a trained assassin thing and you being only sixteen.

Whenever you and Kate have down time, you guys have movie nights, snuggled up on the couch with blankets and stuffing your faces with junk food.

Kate would try her hardest to not let you fight in any of the fights that happen in the city. Especially if they are clearly dangerous.

You would play with her bow and arrows around the house and may or may not have broken more than a few vases. And tried to clean them up before anyone notices.

she'll try to be like all respectful and not look at you when you're putting on you're dress but she'll turn around just wanting a peek. then katie gets super flustered and turns super red. she'll definitely turning mush. when you ask her for help zipping up your dress she's be nervous for no reason. smelling your sweet scent and hearing you're soft breaths makes her so happy. she just feels like she's living her dream and she couldn't be happier. she'll keep repeating praises too. just lost in the thought of you. you're beauty makes katie go mush.

-I could see Yelena pushing Kate more to think about focusing on what she wants to do. Does she need the degree she's pursuing to help further her work as the new Hawkeye? "Well, my mom would want me to finish it--" "Fuck that. What do YOU want?" Yelena's not really interested in getting a degree but Kate encourages her to check out some continuing education courses for random stuff she gets interested in (birdwatching?)

-it takes a long time for Fanny to warm up to Lucky, but Lucky is really chill right away. Melina facetimes them (the dogs) often but is usually too busy/far away to take them, so depending on where Kate and Yelena are going, they're taken in by Grills or Sonya

-#3 is a whole-ass fic I would need to write haha. My original plans for ending "Simple Pleasures" involved them moving to a little house out in upstate New York where Yelena could run a dog sanctuary so there's that

-Kate likes cartoons and Derry Girls and that's about it, but Yelena surprises them both by getting into cooking/cooking shows. When she hears "season to taste," she has a bottle of hot sauce ready

So! I think this has a lot of growing pains-Kate is hyperactive ADHD and Yelena is inattentive adhd and sometimes those competing access needs really develop into an argument.

In terms of active support? Yelena always has fidget toys on hand. Kate picks at her cuticles and bites her nails (which drives Yelena up a wall) so Yelena makes sure there are distractions on hand. She's also the one who manages Kate's meds, because Kate will forget to even go pick the damn things up. Yelena is a list girlie which Kate doesn't really get. Yelena also makes a concerted effort to at least enjoy Kate's hyperfixations (as long as they don't contain active triggers). She might not LOVE Rupaul's Drag Race, but she grows to enjoy it and watch it with Kate.

Yelena gets overwhelmed and overstimulated easier than Kate, and needs alone time to decompress. Kate is MUCH more consistently outgoing, and it takes them some time to figure out boundaries when it comes to Yelena needing a break.

To come back to the Tommy post I made months ago but my ADHD brain decided to ignore, basically my HC is that the organisation who was trying to make him a weapon is related to orchis/hydra and Tommy didn't escape but was actually allowed to go with the YA as long as he gave some information back, and they also continued to give him missions. He agreed because the test were really awful and they also blackmailed him with his family and friends still inside the juvie, plus he has a sorta of toxic mentor-mentee relationship with the Main Villain Lady. Naturally the longest he stayed with the YA the longer he felt guilty, that's why he never sticks around a lot and tries to save more people possible. The only people who have suspicions are Eli Bradley (who in my HC became an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D), Cassie Lang, the Jones (HC he also babysit Danielle a lot), Rebecca Kaplan, Kate Bishop and both Pietro and Wanda,even if nobody really knows the whole truth, and they are kinda protecting him because we all know how the superhero community would treat him otherwise. Anyway right now the Main Villan Lady is dead and since everything was Top Secret , Tommy is now free to enjoy life and fix everything he did under control. But he needs to be extra careful because he was like The Top Spy, so he has everybody in the lookout for him, but he is managing. Right now he is living with Mr P (and secretly another couple of his friends he rescued) tryng to learn magic, working and tryng to escape Eli who is the only one who knows everything and has connected the dots.

Marvel:

Natasha Romanoff: Nat regresses to around 3. Because of the red room she suppressed her regression for a long time and it was by accident that Clint found out - eventually Coulson, Maria and Fury found out too but it took years for her to be comfortable with her regression. Sweetest little ever though, super cheeky too. It’s kind of impossible for every caregiver in her life not to buy her every single toy they find, so she’s amassed a large collection. She really likes duplo, less the building more the smashing it down.

Wanda Maximoff: Caregiver… I think… honestly I’ve read both with her and haven’t minded either. I don’t particularly think of her as a switch though. At the end of the day I think caregiver just makes more sense for her. She likes to make sure the people she loves feel cared for. She cooks her littles all the best foods, her magic is very helpful for grabbing toys that drop under the couch and sometimes she projects pretty patterns on the roof for her little to watch.

Kate Bishop: Kate ‘Katie’ regresses to around 4. She’s quite comfortable with her regression but struggles letting other people know about it, especially Clint. She hid it from Clint at first because she thought he was so cool and was kinda embarrassed. However after one particularly bad mission she’s feeling super little and doesn’t know who to call so she calls Clint (I’ll do a whole other part on this if you guys want). She’s super fidgety and playful when she’s little, she thinks everything is funny and is almost always laughing. She has a toy bow and arrow (a present from Clint which Laura does not support).

Yelena Belova: Like Kate, Yelena regresses to around 4. Like Nat, she really struggles to be open about her regression but Kate helps her a lot with that. She’s a very talkative little, though a lot of it’s hard to make out. As far as caregivers for her go I’m on the fence, I think I’ll have a better idea after Thunderbolts comes out. I can only really see her being comfortable regressing around Nat (so that’s kind of out of the question…), Kate (they take it in turns to regress - I can’t explain how much their friendship means to me), or Melina and Alexei (but I struggle to believe she’d be comfortable being that vulnerable in-front of them after everything)

Maria Hill: Maria is a switch, Mia when she’s little (around 6). She hides her little side for AGES (most of my hcs for Mia are based off these fanfics I read a while ago, I don’t remember what they were called). She’s super independent, she loves playing with the other littles but sometimes gets a bit overwhelmed by how loud little Nat can get. She likes to build forts under Fury’s desk - he’s her primary caregiver. When she’s big she’s a great caregiver, she mainly watches Nat. She has a whole corner set up in her office for littles and a fridge filled with all the best snacks.

Daisy Johnson: Daisy (Skye) is a little, she regresses to around 2-4. She’s a very cuddly little, always near her Mama and Dada (Coulson and May). When she first joined the team she tried to hide her regression but it lasted like a month before Coulson figured it out. She regresses most of the time after missions and it helps everyone wind down. She has this little worn old blanket that she can’t sleep without.

Jemma Simmons: Jemma regresses to around 4. She is the biggest rule follower you’ll ever meet - sometimes the others do things May and Coulson wouldn’t like and it scares her a lot, but sometimes she can be convinced to join in… She loves story time and refuses to go to sleep if she doesn’t get a story. She obviously loves all her siblings but thinks her big sister Bobbi is the coolest and most grown up girl in the world.

Leo Fitz: Fitz (though he goes by Leo when he’s little) regresses to 6, he’s the oldest of the three og bus kids and takes his role very seriously. Aka, he’s super bossy. He loves lego and has a million different sets, which all have to be completed properly, sometimes after the brain injury Coulson has to help him because his hands are too shaky and it upsets him. He also naturally has like a million stuffed monkey toys, his favourite is one with those Velcro hands (idk if you guys know what I’m talking about) he likes to stim by pulling the Velcro apart and putting it back together.

Bobbi Morse: Bobbi regresses to around 8-ish. She’s a very hyperactive little, she always wants to set up obstacle courses and play rough which would be fine except the other littles are all much younger than her and so not as interested in that kind of play, Daisy tries her best though. Mainly Mack plays with her. She’s a great big sister, always keeping an eye out for the little ones. She’s very emotional when she’s little, she also really loves dogs.

Phil Coulson: Coulson is the Caregiver equivalent of a Super Soldier. He just somehow always seems to know when they feel little and what they need. He’s always at the ready with some (captain America themed) little gear and a bottle of milk (if May asks it’s definitely not chocolate milk). As I’m writing this I’m watching AOS S2 EP5 34:28 and if you need any proof that Coulson is caregiver material just watch that scene.

Melinda May: May is as practiced and all knowing in being a caregiver as she is at everything else. She has this ability to make littles feel immediately at ease because she seems to always know what to do, they can just relax and fully let her take care of them. There is a gentler side of her which is only shown to her littles. She’s stricter than Coulson but always fair.

The Hunger Games:

Katniss Everdeen: You guys already know all about my little Katniss (I never shut up about her), but for the sake of this post you get more anyway: She regresses to around 5. She has a comfort pacifier, which she got from Madge Undersee and she keeps with her at all times. Haymitch is her primary caregiver but eventually she learns to let Effie take care of her too. She’s the biggest sucker for physical affection - always on someone’s lap, cuddling, holding their hand - anything tactile helps soothe her. She tends to gravitate towards Peeta if he’s not regressed for comfort, and if he is she’s very protective of him.

Peeta Mellark: Regresses to around 3, his caregivers are primarily Finnick, Annie and Effie. He loves his big sisters (Kat and Jo) so much and is always following them around. Very affectionate, always cuddled up to someone. He regresses more after the hijacking.

Finnick Odair: Finnick is like the coolest dad ever. He’s really strong so he can carry the littles (even Peeta) which they adore. He’s always down for one more bed time story, a spontaneous treehouse building project or the fanciest tea party the littles could ever imagine. He loves taking them out to the beach in the morning (in my head they all end up moving to district 4 to be together) and he teaches Peeta to swim.

Annie Cresta: Annie adores her babies more than anything else. She’s quiet, but observant and very caring. She always knows what they need. She can recognise the slightest shift in mood and knows what to do. Johanna’s upset? Annie knows she’ll be in the treehouse. Peeta’s upset? He’s probably been having nightmares and needs a bottle and a nap. She knows Johanna needs a nightlight on but will never admit it, Peeta’s still a little bit scared of the water, Katniss (whilst not Annie’s little, they are still very close) needs physical contact to calm down. She is always there for them no matter what.

Johanna Mason: Jo regresses to around 7, her cgs are Annie and Finnick. She’s very strong headed and likes to boss Katniss and Peeta around - this causes a few issues for Katniss. Finnick helped her build a treehouse and she goes up there whenever she’s upset. She loves wearing overalls and they look soo cute on her.

Haymitch Abernathy: Haymitch tries his damn best. He loves Katniss, he knows he needs and wants to take care of her, but he often feels out of his depth. Really all that matters to him is that his little girl is happy and my gosh does he make sure of it. No one understands Katniss and Haymitch as much as they do each other. They are inseparable. Little Katniss thinks all of Haymitch’s dad jokes are funny, he thinks she’s the smartest little kid ever. He acts all tough but he hangs all her drawing on the fridge and he learnt to braid hair just for her!!

Effie Trinket: Effie loves enabling the kids. Like they’ve been through so much why should she say no if Peeta and Katniss want to eat ice cream for breakfast?! She tries and fails to convince Katniss to let her out bows in her hair but very quickly learns that Peeta likes them much more. She buys pretty much every stuffie she thinks the littles will like (Johanna included though Jo swears she doesn’t need little kid toys) and eventually she learns to sew so she can make them little clothes and stuffies herself.

Jessica Day: Jess regresses to around 3/4ish. She doesn’t have a set caregiver but all the boys and Cece take care of her. She’s pretty much just the same big or little, she loves glitter, rainbows, polka dots. She has a massive collection of stuffies and sippy cups. She needs someone to sit with her as she falls asleep and she likes to hold someone’s hand when she crosses the road.

Daisy Jones and the Six:

Daisy Jones: Daisy regresses anywhere from 3-5. Simone is the first to know about her regression, she figures it out shortly after they move in together. Karen is the first to find out in the band (when she gets Daisy out of jail), then Billy (while they are recording the album), then Rod (at the start of the tour) and everyone else finds out after Nicky leaves. Daisy LOVES colouring books and doodling and just pretty much anything creative. She hates wearing shoes and is very picky with her food. She’s amassed a gigantic collection of stuffies but her favourite by far is this little bunny that Simone got for her. She’s really shy at first but once she trusts someone she’s really clingy and talkative.

Karen Sirko: Karen never wanted kids but she is completely dedicated to taking care of Daisy. She loves that girl more than anything. Shes really good at understanding when Daisy needs quiet time with just her to process and calm down (a sippy cup, cartoons and a colouring book) and when she needs something stimulating to do to keep her mind occupied (usually this includes letting her go outside and just run because despite how little she sleeps that girl has so much energy). No matter how Daisy is feeling Karen is always there with exactly what she needs.

Billy Dunne: At first Billy didn’t fully understand Daisy’s regression. But once he got it he was completely understanding. No matter if he’s on good or bad terms with big Daisy he can always put it aside for the sake of baby Daisy. When she regresses in the studio he likes to write and play little lullabies and kid songs for her which she adores. More often than not the rest of the band will leave them to write for the album and return to Billy singing and playing a song he’s come up with on the spot while Daisy jumps around sings along with him.

Camila Dunne: Camilla is a natural born caregiver. She knows Daisy is a little from that first night they meet. She doesn’t say anything at first because she really doesn’t know Daisy that well at all but she does bring it up to Karen who later confirms her suspicions. She’s very gentle and understanding with Daisy. Talking to her calmly when she’s overwhelmed, taking her side when she’s upset because of a fight big Daisy had with Billy.

Simone Jackson: Simone is the first person to figure out about Daisy’s regression and she’s the first person to ever make her feel validated and understanding of herself. She does everything she can to help Daisy become more accepting of herself. She buys her colouring books and pyjamas with kids cartoons on them and every time they are shopping and she sees Daisy eyeing a stuffie it goes straight in the cart. She worries about Daisy all the time and is constantly on damage control to make sure she takes care of herself. When she moves away she makes sure to call Daisy consistently both when she is big and little because she’s worried Daisy will get lonely.

Tara: Tara regresses to around 4. She’s very clingy but also just damn adorable. She has a little lamb stuffie which she brings everywhere like she even keeps it in her dance bag when she has class. And again, very clingy to both Kat and Sammy. But that also means she adores them. Yknow (you probably don’t I doubt anyone who’s seen the show will see this) the scene at the end of s1 where her Clara dress goes missing and they ask what she needs and she only wants cat? Literally the most regressor coded moment ever.

Kat: Kat never would’ve expected she’d be able to take care of a little. In fact most times she rarely knows what she’s doing at all. But then she reminds herself it’s just Tara, and she loves T, so really, it’s not that hard. And truthfully she’s amazing at it. She always knows what she needs and how to calm her down.

Sammy: Sammy is more of an older brother to Tara. He spoke her rotten. Tara’s always quite uptight when she’s big and struggles to relax, even when she’s little. It’s sort of Sammy’s life goal to help her actually have some fun from time to time.
