February was a really bad month for my health and I'm not fully recovered yet

But I'm finally able to draw again so here's a bit of an art dump

There are hundreds of entrances into Kirkwall that the Viscount and the Chantry don't know about.

Of course, there are plenty that they do know about. The dozen or so disused slaver tunnels that stretch from the Wounded Coast deep into the belly of Darktown, full of corpses and skeletons and plenty of valuable loot for the down-on-their-luck desperate enough to take it. Old mining shafts, old Carta hideouts, old sewers that only the bravest of the brave (or those without a sense of smell) can summon enough strength to enter. But then there are the entrances that have, somehow, escaped their notice. Half the walls in Hightown that cut off the city from the wilderness of the Vinmarks have holes in the brick if you know which boulders to push or which bushes to pull away. You can hide in a barrel of fish at the docks and get carried to the restaurants and cafes in Hightown before escaping through the back door of the kitchen. And sometimes, when the weather's good, you can take a small rowboat along the cliffs of the channel under the cover of night and then scale a hundred feet up the wall to throw yourself over the fence into Darktown. From there, you're only a hop, skip and jump away from the cellar of the Hawke Estate.

That's how Hawke explains her escapades, anyway, and Varric elects to believe her. It’s better than spending any more time thinking about the ill-fitting, blood-soaked templar armor she was wearing when she tackled him in the cellar, and who it might’ve belonged to.

After my recent playthrough I think I need to revise my assertion that my Hawke goes full red after Leandra dies. Her personality certainly becomes more aggressive and far less patient after All That Remains, but you can still see some traces of the old diplomatic and sarcastic Hawke in there.

But when they kidnap Carver? Take the last remaining family she has left and threaten his life? That's the first time any of them see her truly murderously angry, gloves off, unrestrained fury. And because she's Champion she no longer has any fucks to give about being careful or circumspect about the politics of how she deals with the situation.

Everyone who thought they knew her is horrified when it ends in a violent blaze of blood and fire.

thinking about the fact that theron and kara have matching ‘run through by a lightsaber’ scars and like, while i’m sure valkie being in her head helped the recovery in a way just, theron realizing that she went through so much pain without him there for her because he had his own things he had to do before they met up on odessen. and the relief that she’s there for him through his recovery.

also the renewed guilt on arcann’s end seeing theron go through a painful recovery and connecting it to the scar that he gave to kara on asylum. that renewed adoration of how she could still think that he was worth something and that he could be better than he was, and that determination to prove himself worthy of that faith and love that both her and theron have shown him.
