all that said i know it's canon that dwarves almost never die in the joining. but i favor the idea of them reacting to it more like griffons. dwarves have such a deep and personal hatred of darkspawn that the joining often just outright drives them mad. they probably live most of the time but i imagine their calling comes for them a lot sooner and they're a lot more darkspawn-esque than your typical non-dwarf warden (even bigger appetites, an even crazier intuition/hive mind when it comes to their fellow wardens, a much stronger darkspawn sense ability, strength and stamina that is just a straight up FRENZY in battle on top of usually being berserkers etc etc). and yeah

This is Alvo, my new canon warden in preparation for Veilguard. My RP aim for this run-through is to lean as hard as I can into the Regret theme, which (no surprise to anyone, I'm sure) makes for a rich and delicious read of all three games.

Dwarf players, what would you say your favorite specializations are in DAO/Awakening/DAI? Leaning towards thematic or character-driven reasons but Gameplay Fun is also welcome

This time it's Brosca related.

Do you know how wild it is to go back to Orzammar and find out that your best friend betrayed you? That they went back to the gang you escaped, because they didn't feel they had a choice? And now they've lured you into a trap and intend to kill you?

And then later a very similar feeling scene begins to play out with Zevran. Taliesin finds you, offers to take Zevran back if he'll only kill you. And you've only known Zevran for a matter of months, it only makes sense for him to choose the crows.

But he doesn't. He says he's not going to allow you to be killed. He's known you for a fraction of the time Leske did, and he chooses your friendship over his own safety.

How is Brosca not supposed to be ride or die after that?

i dont wanna doom people with the taint without them knowing, but the game doesn't let me warn them ú_ù except with velanna. she deserves to make an informed decision
