REMINDER TO VOTE TODAY!

No, not just vote. Vote for Kamala Harris. The lives of queer, trans, afab, people of color, non-Christian religions, disabled people, literally any minority group you can think of are at stake! We can win, we can survive this. If you are an American citizen 18 or over, vote for Harris. This isn’t the time to “send a message” by not voting. This is your last chance.

The world is bleak for Americans if Trump wins. He is not for America, he is for himself. He is for the cishet able bodied able minded white man.

I am begging you, as a queer disabled person, to vote for Harris-Walz. This isn’t the time to deliberate.

By not voting for Harris, you are voting against the above minorities. I don’t care if you “still support them”. You are directly putting us in danger. Don’t be stupid, don’t be rash, don’t put others in danger. Lives are at stake here. Please, vote now.

Edit: Thank you all so much for your support- you guys did a great job sharing this around, I saw so many of you going out to vote, and it warms my heart and gives me hope. Unfortunately, the results are in, we lost. I’m devastated at the news, as are so many. I can at least sleep easy knowing that we all did our best. Hello, my dear friends. It’s me again, here to say, that as the ballots get counted and the numbers go up, I want you to remember that it’s not over til it’s over. All the numbers are bound to change and we’re still waiting for the swing state votes to come in. Trump may be in the lead but that’s all bound to change. I also want to remind you, that it’s ok to be scared, it’s ok to be uncertain, and it’s ok to worry about the outcomes of this election. But, on the other hand, I want to remind you to not let that fear or uncertainty consume you. If you’re like me right now, it’s easier said than done. I know checking the polls and playing what-if scenarios are convincing. But if you’re like me, you know that can take you down mental rabbit holes and ultimately make you feel worse.

My advice for those like me.

Take a deep breath

Have some water or a snack

Take/read/look at news in small doses

Remember that votes are still being counted

Do your favorite hobby/something that can take your mind off it for a while

Watch your favorite show(s)/movie(s)

Play with your pet(s)

call a friend or family member

Meditate/pray

(if you’re religious) open your religious book and read scriptures about anxiety/worrying. Ask your god(s) to give you a calm and peaceful mind

Most importantly: remember, it’s not over til it’s over. Don’t lose your mind/sanity over the media, polls, predictions, and so forth. Be aware, but don’t let it consume or stress you, please don’t.

If you’ve done everything you know you can possibly do, good job. I’m proud of you. This is above you now. All you (and everyone else) can do is watch and hope for the best. Stay safe and protect your peace my loves <3

If Kamala loses, at least I know I was on the right side of history, and that’s the greatest relief I can ever ask for. Knowing that I stood up for what’s right, the lives of the children who were massacred in their schools, the most vulnerable people in our society and the beat down, is something I can always say I’m proud of. I will always look out for those who are persecuted, those who are discriminated against, the ones who were kicked out of their families for loving who they were born to love.

The fact that people would rather vote for a racist, r*pist, misogynistic and lying felon over a woman because these men believe all women are emotional is disgusting.

So many countries have women leaders and they’re doing fine.

Trump got rid of women’s rights to healthcare and more women have died than there should have been because it’s left up to the states. He attacked the LGBTQ+ as soon as he was in office and now trans individuals can’t be in the military.

He lowered taxes for the rich so the lower and middle class make up for it even more.

He told a 10 yr old he would date her in 8 years. He attacked democracy. He said Hitler was right and wants German Nazi soldiers.

He wants to use military AGAINST Americans. He called the very country he wants to rule over a garbage can.

And yet people. still. want. him. And it’s disgusting.

Project 2025 names him 300 times, yet he states he’s never heard of it while immediately saying he doesn’t agree with what’s in it.

He lies about immigration. He lied about the cats & dogs. He PROMISED that no one would have to vote again after he wins because it will be fixed.

He claims he’s Christian yet he tear-gassed everyone within the vicinity including the very pastor of the church, who was quoted saying all he did was pose for photos with a bible and left.

He has more and more women coming out against him. E. Jean Carroll was 12 when he forcibly penetrated her. Katie Johnson was 10.

He’s cheated on every wife, who has been confirmed to have been brought to the US while bypassing immigration.

He’s told over 30,000 lies as president.

He’s not for women. He’s not for the country. He’s for himself and believes he’ll be given immunity from his 34 felony charges after admitting to his participation on January 6th (even going as far as to say he will PARDON the ones who attacked this country).

Just a few hours ago he already called fraud at the beginning of the count.

I already had so little hope for people. This just lessened it more.

As a woman, I’m TERRIFIED. As a US citizen, I’m SCARED. As a member of the LGBTQ+, I’m WORRIED. As a sister of a member of LGBTQ+, I’m ANGRY.

We need a "Justice for Wrongfully Convicted Inmates" amendment to the constitution.

No more allowing states to coerce inmates into signing "no fault" agreements as a condition of release, once they are proven innocent. Wrongful convictions in America shall be immediately expunged, inmates immediately released, and federal funds shall be made available (at above median household income levels, per elected place of residence) while the wrongfully convicted reintegrate into society. Income shall be provided tax free for no shorter than the amount of days the wrongfully convicted was wrongfully incarcerated.
