i have been in fact arguing in the stupid bullshit for idiot baby mines for years now, even before i got popular and ESPECIALLY when i got popular. I took several classes in college relating to race and gender and worked at a fucking organization specifically for DEI work and ive ALWAYS been vocal about talking about this stuff lol. its an easy way to tell people just say that to rile folks up, its not something they actually believe.

I was gonna go Insane at you for putting Ugh on AJ cause she's my absolutle favourite.... Until I read the post and realised your opinion on her is the exact same as me. Applejack is repeatedly shown to be Loyal, especially in the episode where Twilight releases the Friendship Journal and since AJ said "Friends are like family" a bunch of ponies wanted to be her friend and also her Family, she then says smth like "I gotta go see my Family" talking about these ponies. She is willing to be Loyal to people she has JUST met. And yeah RD is Loyal but imo RD barely gets any screentime anyway, half the time she's just floating around and only speaks when all of them agree on smth anyway. Would it REALLY be THAT noticeable if they had switched it around and not changed the episodes themself??

I find everyone has their reasons for how they feel about certain characters. Even had someone outright disliked or loathed Applejack without having similar frustrations, I'd have allowed them to go about their day with said viewpoint. I simply find Applejack has nuance to her that makes her seem more fitting for Rainbow Dash's element.

I feel like if somebody had swapped the two titles, it wouldn't be noticeable. Rainbow Dash is sometimes TOO honest for even her friends, preferring to state the truth even if it hurts someone than use white lies to be kind. She has had her moments of being untruthful, but I don't believe it would be something people pick up on as being off if you had given them each other's elements.

That said, Applejack does have my favorite Letter to Celestia quote in the entire show.

okay so when I moved in I had my dad do a quick mesh replacement on the screen window in the kitchen, so we can air out the area without every bug in the universe descending upon us, right?

well, throughout the spring summer and fall the squirrels have been tearing their way THROUGH that mesh to get to the fruit bowl we keep on the table next to that window. We now have to all remember to keep that inner window closed if we aren't in the kitchen

earlier today i heard a thump, and, of course thinking it was the household cat knocking something over, got up to go check it out

and i find

this CHONKER of a black squirrel sitting hunkered over the kitchen table trying to horf down as much of an apple bigger than his skull as possible. it'd scrimbled around a bit to start off and knocked over a trash bin, which is what summoned me in the first place

upon seeing me, he scrimbles the fuck back through the mesh hole
