Have been dealing with my Anxiety Disorder™ lately, because [gestures at everything]. Normally it’s a real low level kind of thing, I’m on medication, I occasionally have therapy, but I think now we’re all just kind of In It for a while and that’s just something we gotta deal with.
I would strenuously encourage everyone reading this to find the things that keep you afloat, whether it’s a video game, a TV show, standup comedy, anime, a book series, your favorite YouTube channel, one song on loop for eight entire days, whatever it is. Just find something to climb into for a few hours and protect your peace, build up your reserves, for as long as you can.
I feel like I haven’t done much in 2024 except hang on by my fingernails, and sometimes you gotta call that good.

#star wars#the original trilogy#boba fett#darth vader#hi. sorry for star war jumpscare. genuinely#i feel like ive kinda been on an art hiatus lately due to health stuff#i got diagnosed with a parathyroid disease recently (wahoo) so now i know why i have been feeling so bad! need more tests though#anyway. in the mean time most of the entertainment my brain can handle has been like. youtube clip compilations of shows and movies#not even the actual shows or movies. literally just sections of them on youtube#i wish i was joking#the only reason i know what happens in succession is because i have watched it in disjointed order in youtube compilations. not joking#anyway so ive learned a lot more about star wars than i ever. thought i would#mostly just the original trilogy and prequels. some of the old comics & books are interesting too#(sick to my stomach) i like darth vader he has like the same personality as ganondorf except he had no good reason for doing anything#when vader/anakin does literally anything weird or unacceptable it like. makes me laugh so hard its like jerma when he sees a car accident#boba fett’s costume design has been rotating in my head a lot too it’s very good#he’s very colorful and like. matte/unpolished compared to vader and it makes them a cool duo visually#those 2 are my favorites. vader why is the space cowboy the only person aside from sidious or tarkin who is allowed to get mad at you#sidious is my 3rd favorite. he sucks so bad as like a person that you just. you have no expectations of him except just being evil#so its just really funny like everything he does is horrible and he’s so happy all the time like good for him#i’m making it sound like ive never seen star wars before. i have i just never really cared about it until i got an endocrine disorder lmao#but yeah idk art may continue to be slow while im figuring out treatment stuff#if anyone reading this also has or has had hyperparathyroidism im wishing the strength & radiance of 1000 beautiful horses upon you

I love letting other people watch things first and then give feedback about it so I can gauge whether or not I want to spend time on it. Truly could not give fewer fucks about spoilers. If the story is good I will still have a fantastic time.
#avatar the last airbender#it's really not looking like it's worth it#like it's high production value#but the complaints are about things that are really dealbreakers to me#they broke the plot and character development in bad ways that make them very different characters and events#the clips i've seen are visually stunning but have a marvelesque feeling of lackluster meaningless platitudes#oh yes we should definitely fight the evil and resist it and save the weak by getting stronger!#it's like someone watched/read some shonen or generic YA dystopian action and missed the entire point#maybe altogether it would be better but the way suki and sokka move in their training clips lacks weight#like they do not move like they know how to fight#no offense to the actors but i think this show really needed heavy martial arts training for all involved#and maybe they got it but they needed to really internalize the weight shifts and the way you put force behind strikes#that and seeing all the breakdowns of sokka and aangs modified arca is just disheartening#anyhow#on the other hand#heaven officals blessing#has been very worth#also i wish i could watch the donghua for#grandmaster of demonic cultivation#but i need to download the chinese spyware app or pay extra extra money on youtube to sub to the tencent channel#i think i am nust fond of the stuff mxtx writes#i should learn mandarin to read the og#i wonder if i would talk like a fanfic if i did that#like someone would hear it and be like i Know where you learned that and i sham't say it#mo xiang tong xiu

#i don't know how they do these press tours i'd kill myself#i'm still just watching whatever fall guy interview youtube recommends me#i think i can sum up the fall guy press tour in two questions that get asked in every interview#1. are you a swiftie and what are your favorite taylor swift songs#2. did you do any of your own stunts/talk about the stunts that you did#and ryan will still get the occasional ken question#also so many of these interviewers are just the most annoying people to ever exist#and they ask the most boring shit they can clip on their tiktok#watching interviews from press tours is always a mixed bag because some are brilliant but some just makes you want to poke your eyes out#actors are stronger than the us marines#pine rambles

rewatched the dynamite mv and felt the echo of the feelings it inspired back in 2020 and truly I need another hyperfixation like that again to feel alive
#listen i got into bts during the height of the 2020 elections#and sinking into that hyperfixation was such an incredible escape for my mental health#and truly that level of insanity has inspired some of the most fun ive ever had#at first it starts with watching those funny youtube compilations and you just like them SO much SO instantly#and then its little by little getting to know the members and the lore#and then watching all the music videos and hearing all the songs and differentiating between the members in the songs#and finding their variety shows and waiting for those every week#and the waiting every second for a new clip or a new livestream to drop#and the instant boost of serotonin when it does#2020-2022 was SUCH a time and they truly brought me sooo much happiness#one time i woke up at 4am to stream a japanese award show. that shit was INSANE#i mean i still love them but im definitely not hyperfixating anymore and i neeeeeed to experience that again i need to
