re: house md, i think people who don't actually watch the show are kind of deluding themselves by watching compilation clips of house/ wilson moments and either don't know or just forget how vile the show was in terms of any -ism you can think of. it really was an excuse for the writers to be as sexist and racist and queerphobic as they wanted as long as they could do it through the mouthpiece of a guy who was openly a big piece of shit, basically lampshading their own nasty beliefs. and while i agree those men are gay and they essentially ride off into the sunset together in the finale, that doesn't mean the show wasn't as a whole deeply baked in conservative ideology
Yeah, I mean, it began airing in 2004, it's going to be drowned in that stuff.

Just wanna point out that there was a frightening amount of people on here (many of whom would normally be all for believing victims immediately btw!) so unreasonably attached to their tv shows that when the first accusations against Neil Gaiman dropped they would tear you to fucking shreds for saying you believed them calling you queerphobic and misogynist and racist and whatever other nasty shit because they think fiction is praxis and no one who made Unproblematic Representation Media Product could ever be a monster to that degree. And I think you would all do well to remember that there is absolutely no imaginary representation whose positive impact could ever negate the real damage he has done to real people. Your warm fuzzies simply are not important enough to justify developing a forgiveness and tolerance policy for rapists. Full fucking stop.

Hey! Asking about your experience with being punk/punk adjacent and also in academia. How do you handle the two? Punk action and activism is grassroots, which I try to be involved in, but I feel like I’m just speaking big words and writing into an echo-chamber about gender. Like the only good I do is explaining to a group of cis people terminology. What are your experiences on this, if you have any?
Hmm. Yea this was difficult for me to balance too. I'll insert a readmore cuz this got kinda long.
I enjoy academia and research and being able to have more advanced conversations with people, but I was also sick of being in classes or circles of people who I knew would speak "woke" for the sheer fact of looking like good people, but on the down low were incredibly racist, classist, queerphobic, and just down right nasty carceral people. It was difficult trying to sift through who was safe to open up to and who wasn't, because many people were actually liberals in disguise (even if they called themselves leftists or leftist aligned). I also was never shy about being an anarchist/punk, I was the only person who wore my spiked jackets and boots to class, my outfits were loud, but I also began seeing some other queer people I knew wear their own jackets because they were encouraged by me (so that was nice).
I was doing activism on campus while in undergrad alongside the usual academic theory/research stuff, and it turns out that people actually will hate your guts the moment you start pointing out problems. The usual "YOU become the problem the second you point out THE problems", so I faced a lot of social backlash, even from other marginalized people who I had confided in about problems. My advice is that unless you're willing to become one of the most hated people on campus, don't do your activism on campus. It's a surefire way of making enemies, even enemies in people you have never met in your life. There are plenty of local orgs, food banks, and churches with programming that you could be way more productive in than trying to combat institutionalized oppression like that of an academic institution. You can try, believe me because I did, and while I learned a lot about organizing, I also learned when to give up and focus on my community instead of changing systems.
You pointed out that you're getting sick of explaining to cis people. This is definitely something you can stop doing, if you'd like. I stopped giving up my labor to educate other people (within reason) because I was one of the few trans people on campus. But I also have this value that I am not about to let some person walk around with the wrong idea about marginalized communities, so I always speak up when people say incorrect things (this has also caused some yt people to avoid me lol). Of course, you do this with compassion and with the goal of making sure their future interactions with marginalized people go better, but after a certain point, you need to be able to hold your energy for where you want to put it. Put more pressure on your institution or adjacent orgs to have things like safezone training (or bring in queer orgs for trainings/lectures). You can also just tell people some websites to check out instead of answering their questions, because surprise to them, their questions can in fact be solved by a simple search, they just are far too lazy to do that.
I dunno tho. I still struggle with growing so much in terms of punk/anarchist theory and ideas, but i have a serious lacking in actual community organizing. I'm introverted, don't like big noisy crowds, and I am quite socially anxious. Being punk is like my armor in a world that doesn't like me, because I find people fuck with me less when Im in spikes and boots. I find theory and academia so fulfilling for my virgo brain, but I also don't shame myself for not being active in local community. I know there will be a time I will be, but I also know that everyone is helping in the movement in the ways they can. It doesn't matter if that is at the food bank, in protest, on the computer, or by reading theory. All of it is equally important, and some of us aren't going to be good at everything.
I found myself feeling far more productive and alive when I was working with communities I knew would keep me safe. Started surrounding myself with more BIPOC queer people who were also working against carceral thinking, and I found my life to be way more enjoyable. connecting authentically with people who you feel safe with is just as important as organizing or protesting. You can organize or protest, but if you don't have a community to turn to, you'll burn out and won't be able to sustainably stay in the movement. Focus on energies, peoples, and love, connect authentically and have difficult conversations about love and politics and theory. You can be an academic, but still maintain the punk values you love in your daily life. Humans are made of contradicting values and experiences, we shouldn't shame each other for that and instead hold the multiple and contradicting truths in us all.
I can go on and on, but ill leave it at that. feel free to ask anything else in specific tho.

Another part of the problem is that Tumblr social justice ideology has a massive "loophole" in it:
In theory, it's considered wrong to commit aggression against others. But the loophole is, you're allowed to be as nasty and mean as you want (and do things like threaten to kill people in Discord servers) if you can first Cast the Other Party as an Aggressor.
So, for example, you're normally not allowed to express racist hatred against the Japanese. But you ARE allowed to do so if you can first paint them as a nation of pedophiles because you dislike Japanese art styles. So not only can you be a racist bigot, but you can disguise it as "anti-oppression".
Or for another example, you're normally not allowed to hate bisexuals. But you ARE allowed to do so if you can first paint them as "secretly straight, and thus secretly bigoted towards gays and lesbians". So, you can be as nasty to bisexual people as you want if you can cast them as aggressors to gay people first.
And a final example, you're normally not allowed to support imperialism, colonialism, and warmongering. But you ARE allowed to be a warmonger if you can first paint people who object to war as "misogynists afraid of female power". So not only can you be a warmonger, but you can phrase it as "anti-sexism".
So, that's the "loophole" in Tumblr social justice: you're technically not allowed to be a bigot or oppressor, but you can justify similar behavior if you can somehow cast the other party as an aggressor first.
I’m picking up what you’re putting down Anon, but I’d like to offer a counter in the form of a duo of videos
Noah Samsen’s “Solving the Debate Bro Problem”
And Noah Samsen’s follow up “The Vaush Effect”
Collectively it’s about an hour and a half to watch both, but I recommend you do. Watch the debate bro problem video first, as it contains context for the Vaush Effect video.
But the TL;DR of both is that leftist/lefty “debate bro” types prioritize “winning” over honest exchange of knowledge or achieving greater understanding of the other side. Whatever is true and right and just is simply the viewpoint of whoever “wins” a debate about it. And you “win” by looking bigger, tougher, stronger, and more confident than your opponent (and if all else fails, by brutally attempting to silence your opponent. If they’re silent then they aren’t fighting back, and if they aren’t fighting back then you’ve “won”).
It’s a system that rewards ignorance and lacks self-awareness. If you were to question yourself ever at any point or change your views then that would be the same as conceding the win to the other side. The best way to avoid “losing” is to never learn, never listen, and never grow.
This often leads to the (primarily cishet white) debate bros saying and doing shit that is extremely fucked up, because again the priority is on winning. They would say women deserve rights and then in the same breath engage in blatant misogyny if they thought it would win them an argument.
The video also points out that this is a very bad thing. It is essentially just grafting the Alt-Right’s strongman tactics onto a new ideology, and it ultimately leads to many marginalized people being silenced or brutalized. Not to mention how it rewards/reinforces racist, queerphobic, misogynistic, etc. attitudes and a general lack of critical thinking or self-reflection in leftist spaces.
I watched these videos and I swear so many things clicked into place with regard to how certain Edelgard stans have been acting for… basically the entire duration of the fandom.
I mean look at what’s going on now. We’re quite literally being stalked and harassed by a (afaik cishet white) guy who prioritizes “kicking the asses” of people who disagree with him over all else. He has no self-awareness as to how his actions are hurting the group of (primarily marginalized) people he is aggressively attacking, no interest in actually listening to us beyond what he can take out of context to posture for his buddies and win “”debates””, and no concept of boundaries or acceptable behavior. He didn’t oppose Diaphin making “jokes” about genocide on my posts out of concern for me as a human being, or because it’s wrong. He opposed it because he thought I (or I suppose Nilsh, since everything bad that has ever happened always comes back to Nilsh) could use it to make him look bad and therefore lose.
Because this is a game to him. Our lives and our feelings are the equivalent of NPCs for him to mow down on the path to proving he’s the biggest, strongest, most rightest debater on the internet. And when we don’t have an interest in playing along he melts down and tries to force us back into the game so he has a target to take pot shots at.
And if you’re acting like that? You can say all the leftist shit you want, but you’ll never be an ally. Allies don’t stab you in your pain points for the sake of their petty pride.

What tags mean what
#blab my talking about stuff, and misc stuff that doesn’t fit into any other category
#it speaks additions to other peoples posts via reblog usually
#my art self explanatory
#drip pictures of mine and other folks amazingly gender wardrobe
#nya pictures of my cats cuz i love my little baby-cats so much
#story time with auntie Val my shitty writing stuff (at the time of writing it’s just the printer saga)
#it me stuff about me or pictures of me that isn’t necessarily #drip
Please note that this is very susceptible to change and i’m gonna be adding to and removing from this list a lot, so some old stuff is gonna be tagged wrong, and frankly i don’t care enough to go back and change all of it.

in general it is best not to post a message from someone anonymously accusing someone else of something if you are not 1000% sure they are correct. or even then, you could just block and move on. idk anything about the people involved here but it is a very common tactic to send a message to a popularish blog accusing someone of something because people love to dogpile.
m8 if someone tells you a person you like actually is a deeply hateful person and you find evidence of the claim during a 15min cursory search then yeah i do take that as good enough reason to publish the claim lmao
granted, after spending some more time looking into this whole mess i wish wasn’t so hasty in publishing the ask. however, that is more because i’m having a hard time wrapping my head around my feelings regarding That blog being by kate or someone else, as well as the claims that the anon sending these messages is a vile piece of shit. i’m fairly certain she holds some weird transphobic views (specifically against trans women)
and no. “block and move on” is what i do when someone is a regular asshole. or someone outside of my circles is a nasty pos and i want to avoid to accidentally interact with them. if someone within a community i move in holds dangerous and hateful ideologies i can and will drag it to the surface. i’m not gonna sit here and be all “aw shucks, this person is racist/queerphobic/what-have-you and very active within this community, but i’m gonna block ‘em in secret and let others accidentally promote them”
i wish she would spend an hour to try and sort out this mess and clearing her name - something i truly encourage her to do if this is a baseless 4+ year smear campaign against her. like, i may or may not owe this woman the biggest apology, but she’s not giving me anything to work with and so i’m gonna choose to protect myself even if that’ll drag her name through mud unnecessarily

arguably nothing """serious""" , someone pointed out the cheese enemy designs based on native americans are Maybe Not Great & accompanied that with excerpts of the game's discord server from 2018 showcasing some nasty edgy toxic 4chan-like humor & mentality ( including but not limited to the dev himself ) >( that's over in that drive folder ) <
The dev's apparently reacted to it on that discord as well simply saying he's "not exactly proud" of that & "theyre just very shallow and not funny at all lol" which like that's whatever i'd be inclined to admit this guy is neutral at best, potentially ok, whatever
but then if you scratch a bit like on discussion threads on steam you can clearly see the type of people calling the game based ( as in hateful-queerphobic-racist lingo based ) and laffing about that kinda criticism and your usual online bigot stuff and frankly just knowing they're around and probably still hanging around this game's community unquestioned is icky to me

People have commented a lot of nice things on confessions of mine, some of them offering to be friends or to link my socials to support me, but I’ll never do it and I’ll tell you why. I don’t trust a single damn one of you. I’ve seen so many people on this blog saying nice things in one place and nasty things in others. Some of y’all seem cool and then you show your ass by being transphobic or queerphobic or racist in the comments on some other post. I don’t trust the people on this blog, call me paranoid, but I don’t. In general I don’t trust this community which is why I have no presence here. I don’t post any dolls I own that I don’t make myself or playline dolls and I only post those in hate-free hobby spaces that are specifically not bjds.
The only reason I come here is because people in my real life are tired of hearing me talk about dolls, so I confess my enjoyments and frustrations here in the safety of the anonymity. I have a business in the real world that relies a lot on my social media presence and the last thing I want is for someone to think it’s funny to fuck with my livelihood over some kind of nonsense that people do on this blog.
Some of y’all are genuine and I appreciate that, but based on all the shenanigans and hateful shit that goes on in this blog over literal nothing, just makes me confident that my mental health and job will be better if I stay anonymous. Also I always have the worry that if I post my dolls which I’ve wanted to because I’ve very proud of their faceups and whatnot, that nasty assholes are gonna come out of the woodwork and offer unwanted criticism on my elaborate story work or my paint skills because as a neurodivergent person I have a very hard time keeping negative experiences away from my love for things and I know it would probably ruin my love for my dolls.
I’ve already had that happen once when my mother made a joke about how the one anime doll I owned looked like a child and she thought I was sexualizing a child which I wasn’t but it pretty much made me put the doll away and eventually scrap it for parts and I don’t need that after I’ve spent so much love, money, and time on my dolls. It’s safer not to interact. I’d love to have doll friends or whatever, but I can’t with the aggression on this blog and in the community.

I need to know why you tagged that transphobe bargaining post as bimboland I’m over there too
Well, it’s somewhat of a long story. I used to be AlienPrinceFromVenus and later AlienPrince hotfix 2.0 on Bimboland btw but I quit due to the stuff I’m about to talk about.
So basically. Bimboland’s volunteer workers, ie Prime Bimbo, the forum mods, the queerphobic Polish coder Mariolka, and many of the long time users are various shades of trans and homophobic and racist. And various members of the LGBTQ+ community that were on that site and tried to like. Make them stop or get into positions where they could have some power to go against that shit.
There have been multiple callouts of multiple people, the last one I witnessed was of LillyAnn being called out for misgendering a trans person and then it devolved into her and all the other powers that be blaming the ’nasty rainbows’ for not shutting up about it after her very disingenuous apology. And just recently Dye96 totally shifted blame on that on the mean gays, as if it was our fault that they refused to deal with the homophobia of anyone in a position of power in the site, so that shows me there has been no growth. The worst case of that dismissiveness was in my opinion that of the incredibly vile coder Mariolka who drove off most of the sites designers away with his constant vile garbage in our designer discord server. He’d be saying straight up homophobic things, making angry threats like I’ll break your legs, constantly misgender people, and he’d always try to shift blame on us because that was all just his opinion. And no one had the power to kick him out but in the very least more could have been done to protect users from him. Letting him into that server where he had no business being in the first place was already dumb as shit.
That post in question just made me think how on Bimboland the kind of transphobia apologism is exactly what these people want. Like I have literally seen the ”I don’t hate all lgbt people, it’s just this specific set of loud obnoxious users I have a problem with” sentiment, I have been directly told that, even. And it’s definitely a manipulation tactic on Bimboland to spin it like there’s no queerphobia happening they’re just dealing with ”bullies.”

hey, guys! this is my expanded Thoughts On Stuff (bio)! please read if you’re new to my blog :) if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to DM me.
hello! my name is ris tessane, I am a minor who uses it/its and he/him pronouns, and i run this blog! I’m demiqueerplatonic (WOW), aro,,ish, and ace! I reblog mostly hermitcraft and technoblade stuff, but sometimes cool art will catch my eye and I just have to reblog it, even if its out of fandom.
As a general, get the hell off of my blog if you’re a homophobe, transphobe, TERF, enbyphobe, pan/biphobe, aphobe, racist, ableist, xenophobic, pedophile/ pedophile apologist (gross, i’m a minor, thats nasty), if ur gross to people w/ DID/ OSDD, personality disorders, mental disorders, physical disorders, ya know. all the things people are gross too that they literally just. can’t help. or! you just don’t like me! I promise my feelings wont be hurt if you block me. your online experience is yours to shape to your desire. if I don’t fit in your comfort zone, whatever! i literally do not care! block me!
i typically use /j to indicate a joke, /s for sarcasm, and /rq for a rhetorical question. this is because some people have trouble reading tone over the internet, and using these helps them enjoy their experience on my blog.
now, onto the fun stuff.
I can and will block “like spammers.” this is for a variety of reasons, mostly coming down to the fact that liking does nothing to help expand the reach of creators, it fogs up their notifications, and is only useful in certain situation (vent posts, good day asks, basically personal stuff.) Just to be clear, I won’t block people who like a post and move on, but someone coming to my blog and liking everything with no reblogs, will get blocked. I don’t have time to clear my notifications if I, or artists I reblog from, don’t get any exposure in return. sorry not sorry.
[hermitcraft fandom specific] I am a pro-shipper, meaning i ship the little minecraft characters together for my own self enjoyment. terrifying, right? /s /rq. If you’re uncomfortable with this, feel free to block! again, it doesnt affect me in any way, and if I interact with something of yours and you arent comfortable with me (a shipper) doing so, please DM me so i can remove it! No hard feelings, i promise. as for the dream team aspect of shipping, I am not against it, however I do not personally ship any of them. my aroace butt just projects way too much to think about them in any sort of non-platonic relationship for people who say “DNI if you ship real people uwu,”,,,,,,i literally have no idea what u are trying to say. I DONT ship real people. but, i cant tell if thats a condescending, “don’t ship real people, and shipping the character is shipping the person,” or a normal, “don’t ship real people, but the character is fine!” so, with that in mind, dont ship the person behind the screen! ship the lil character, please! & dont force content creators to see shippy stuff!
tags! when on my ipad, i typically don’t use tags. when on my computer, its much easier to tag things, and things are tagged as #ris reblogs (reblogs), #ris talks (general talking stuff, such as this), and #ris answers (for asks), and a few other tw stuff for things people asked me to tw tag for. if you need/want me to tag something for you, please just ask! i’ll do my best to remember.
i reserve the right to block anyone I dont feel comfortable with! this could be for looking like a bot, having things im not comfortable with as a pfp/ in their name, being a queerphobe, and many other reasons! or maybe, i just dont vibe! it’s my internet experience. DMs are open to anyone! feel free to come on in and chat.

WOLFCORE: What it is and isn't.
Wolfcore definition:
An aesthetic based on the teenage werewolves of the 2000s. An example being Wolfie Blackheart and the Crimson Blood Wolfpack.
A subgenre of alternative fashion based on the above. Most wolfcore fashion falls under emo, scene, or goth categories, or a mix of them.
Wolfcore fashion in-depth:
Wolfcore fashion can be described as one of or a mix of the following: emo, goth, or scene. As wolfcore is based on teen werewolves, common wolfcore gear (shortened to wolf gear) are often collars, chains (to be used like leashes, necklaces, or hung from belt loops), harnesses, tails, and ears. Bracelets, necklaces, and basically any other accessories can be considered wolf-gear if you feel a wolfish connection to it!

Who can be wolfcore?
Almost anybody! Any age can be wolfcore, it's not strictly for teenagers! As long as you feel a connection to wolves or even canines in general, you can consider yourself wolfcore. However, I, as the creator of wolfcore, do not consent to any of the following using wolfcore for themselves: TERFS, Transphobes in general, Homophobes, Biphobes, Queerphobes, MAPs/NOMAPs, Racists, The Alt-Right, or just anybody who is generally nasty.
What wolfcore isn't:
A kink. Wolfcore is in no way meant to be sexual. You can be kinky and also wolfcore, but wolfcore in itself is not a kink. Yes, we wear collars and leashes, but these are for a 100% non-sexual purpose. They are simply fashion statements and a representation of ourselves. Nothing more, nothing less.
Wolfcore is also not inherently otherkin. You can be otherkin and wolfcore, but being otherkin/therian is not necessary.
Over-all:
Wolfcore is an aesthetic/fashion/alternative community based on the teen werewolves of the 2000s. Although wolfcore fashion may have collars, leashes, etc. It is not a fetish, and will never be a fetish. I, as the founder of wolfcore, do not consent to the term wolfcore being used in a sexual context.
