The Crows should have had a separate show with a good theme song so if they decided to make a cameo in the Shadow and Bone series, their theme song would start playing as they appeared and it would have been so dramatic and metal as hell
Plus I think they should have had left the SoC books alone and showed their adventures before the books happend if they wanted to combine the Shadow and bone with Six of Crows
Netflix' Shadow and Bone did not do the crows justice

team green’s grief in this episode has such a level of detachment to it I wanna talk about it
AEGON and helaena were the most visibly upset and understandably so. and I do think aegon’s grief is real, but he expresses it first and foremost through violence and rage. it’s also interesting that one of the first things he mourns is his LEGACY. jahaerys was his heir to the throne, and now he has to either name aemond heir or make his daughter heir which would make him a hypocrite.
AEMOND isn’t even the least bit concerned in this episode. frankly, he views the assassination as a form of flattery. he’s so fragile and insecure that all he can think about is some twisted sense of approval from daemon acknowledging his existence. to me aemond has always been like a little kid begging to be at the grownups table. but that he’s more upset about what he did to luke than what happened to jahaerys, I think especially because what he did to luke proved that either he can’t even fully control vaghar (if you believe that it was an accident) or he isn’t capable of making tactical decisions.
ALICENT grieves too, but you question how much of it is grief and how much is guilt over being with criston— and then all of her very raw emotions are completely undercut and undermined by her actions once she and otto decide to run the propaganda campaign and subject helaena to a public display of her son’s dead body which retraumatizes her. it’s through alicen’t own actions that helaena is in this loveless marriage in the first place, a marriage which offers her no support during this time.
HELAENA is the only one who seems to be grieving the real person, her boy that she lost. Her Jahaerys. Everyone else in team green, however, repeatedly refers to him as “the boy” or “the child” and it contrasts really powerfully to Rhaenyra saying “my son” and Jace saying “Luke” which shows a level of intimacy that the greens have never allowed within themselves and view as a weakness. the two families bear a remarkable difference in how they grieve because of their functionality vs dysfunctionality.

better than what Stella said about leaving it til the last few races but it shouldn't be a debate - what's better than WCC? WDC and WCC and your other driver as high in the standings as possible
when even MAX is saying he genuinely thinks Lando is in contention for WDC maybe, idk, LISTEN?!
Lando's only 76 points behind and while yes if Max doesn't score in any races for the rest of the year it is still mathematically anyone's game, the likelihood of that happening is fucking slim
yes Oscar still could, technically, but again the person with the best chance of outscoring Max by enough points each week is Lando, especially when you look at how consistently he's driven and how many points McLaren have lost him due to strategy blunders. he's P2, has the second most podiums this season as well (Max has 9, Lando has 8, the Ferraris have 5 each) and is ahead on both quali and race h2h
much as it sucks, as McLaren so lovingly 🙄 pointed out, there'll be many more opportunities, maybe they should take the chance they have right now with Lando and capitalise on whatever the fuck is wrong with Red Bull, Ferrari's seeming plateauing and Merc's still playing catch up from the start of the season

Thoughts on the First Four Episodes of Hazbin
I only just got to watch the first four episodes & gotta say, my favorite episode is episode 4 so far. Aside from the pilot, it's the best in terms of writing & songs in my opinion. Even though I liked You're A Loser Baby, I'm not the biggest Husk X Angel shipper, (though I'm not against the ship) I think I perfer Poison. I don't have many complaints about the show so far, just nit picks. I think my biggest issue (besides some of the writing of the first 3 episodes) is the pacing. I do remember that the pilot was fast paced but....I think these episodes feel more so?
I'm just worried that the pacing might wreck things as the series continues, since we've only got 10 episodes this season. Hopefully, the fact that I saw improvement with episode 4, is that it's a sign that the show has found it's footing & it'll be smoothe sailing from here. I don't really know what else to say about the show so far, I'm trying to keep my hopes up & not let the internet ruin this show for me. Mostly, I'm just tryig to vibe & enjoy seeing my favorite character (Alastor) again. Which, I'm also interested in finding about more on what exaclty is up with him. He's got so many layers & I think we're just barley scratching the surface on what his deal is.

Yoooo that second part of the season, huh? Pretty cool, in my opinion. Just got done with it and I've gotta say: I like it, it's pretty good.
My only complaint is that it felt a bit fast paced and that I think it would've been better as a full season on its own instead of a half season. And the character interactions could've also used a bit of work but, meh, that might just be because of how fast paced it felt.
But, overall, I really liked the plot and everything that happened. Really cool season with great animation (minus a couple animation errors lol), voice acting, music and cool fight scenes. Really hyped to see what the next season might contain!

Coyle is homophobic but fucks both male and female reagents? 🤨🤨
You don’t have to like or interact if it upsets you 💙
Trigger warning don’t read if you don’t like Sexism/homophobia
Honestly I just think he’s closeted bisexual but slightly more attracted to woman (just my opinion), back in the 1900s homosexuality wasn’t really looked up to like it is now and I feel like if Coyle ever expressed that he was slightly attracted to men, he’d either lose his job, get his ass kicked or even end up dead so he kept quiet about it
Honestly I believe he is attracted more to woman because saying the snitch looked like his second wife is pretty odd (I’m guess the snitched looked a lil feminine underneath that bag or he’s referring to his body 🤷♀️
But yes I believe he is homophobic to others but not himself, I don’t think he’d approve of anything that’s not straight or manly or feminine like
Like woman are housewives and men do the work
He’d still fuck you tho even if your a man
(I deleted a lot of fear of offending people)
I doubt he’d approve and be accepting towards every sexuality

Also..and no hate to anyone who likes this. Not a fan of the snake boy Callum stuff. Obviously fandoms are for having fun, so if you love it that’s totally fine. Just..most the stuff I’ve seen seems so far removed from who Callum is as a character. (In my opinion) It’s just a lot of this..ohhh Callum did dark magic again and everyone is wary of him and he’s just like Viren..and yeah..not my cup of tea.

QSMP Elections
(Disclaimer, I am a Slimecicle main for the most part, I do watch other povs)
It’s interesting seeing everyone argue about what is the best policy but calling q!BBH, Gegg and q!Baghera naive for believing in revolution as opposed to fixing the system from the inside is failing to consider recent ideology promoted in leftist circles of the US about Law Enforcement. From a US perspective the idea of fixing the system from the inside could seem naive. If everyone in the federation is corrupt how could a single person fix the damage in a more effective way than a council? Also, it is very easy to point out the lack of official policies planned by Gegg, q!Baghera and q!BBH but this fails to account for the fact they (at least q!Baghera and q!BBH) only want things that people agree on. Say there was a mod they wanted to add but someone else doesn’t, they don’t know that until the council is assembled so that everyone can voice their concerns hence they can only say things they might do if agreed by the council, not what they definitely will do. For example, invisible armour (I don’t know what exact mod q!Cellbit is suggesting) might not be supported by people who enjoy duels like the q!Quackity and q!Slime one at the funeral as it gives a greater opportunity to cheat during these kind of duels. However it is the job of the candidates to make these kind of points during the debates to prevent any confusion so them not explaining a reason for not promoting a lot of their own ideas is a flaw.
Opinions on the candidates more specifically below:
Gegg/q!Slime has said that he thinks the election is rigged, which is likely a factor in him campaigning for revolution. He is also, from a meta perspective, highly likely to die and has expressed a desire to be a martyr. So him promoting this ideology allows him to continue lore if he dies too early in the electoral process. I love him as a funny little guy; even if he will likely die before the voting. Also, his stuff about burning everything is actually suspicious and I hope if he is elected he immediately becomes corrupt. If he doesn’t die and I can vote. I will probably vote for him.
I genuinely love the duo of q!Cellbit and q!Forever and I think they have a lot of great ideas, q!Cellbit acting as a shield for q!Forever is a genius strategy and they both care so much about this server and the people and eggs on it. But I don’t know why they necessarily think this is a good idea since q!Cellbit and q!Felps got close to the Federation and ended up kidnapped. Although, from a Meta perspective q!Forever is for sure a great choice. He greatly cares about the people on the server, he does so much for the community and is overall a great guy. But he also someone I don’t want anything bad to happen to. Richas has been through way too much at this point.
When thinking about q!BBH he is a great guy and friend to most of the server. I support the sharing of power. But there is one thing that worries me, this is probably a trap and q!Bad is a single parent. If this goes wrong, it is very much a concern for Dapper. But this would also be very angsty and I do like angst in moderation.
On q!Baghera, I think she is a great pick and would be a good choice. The council seems like a good idea and, much like Forever, Cellbit and BBH, she is on the server a lot and does a lot of RP. Something bad happening to her would be very angsty and there are other parents who can take care of Pomme if she ends up taken. I do think she needs to ask more people what they want if she hasn’t already due to her campaign being rooted in being a voice for the people.
I think q!Mike would also be a great choice from a Meta perspective and a lore perspective. Tazercraft having an increased access to things they might want to add to improve the server and make new events is genuinely great. It would be interesting to see how q!Mike would implement Communist ideology as well. His roleplaying is funny and I think if they went with a corruption arc he would be quite good at it. (I know I used the argument that Richas has been through enough, but I think q!Mike is more likely to be a corruption arc and do think what the Federation does with the winner will depend of which candidate wins, probably)
I think, taking into account that this whole thing is likely some kind of trap and/or rigged, q!Etoiles might actually be a good choice. He is strong and has a great desire to protect others. If this was some kind of trap then it would be greatly dramatic to have one of the strongest players be taken out or impressive to see him fight to escape. He also cares deeply about the other players and I do think he would give other players a voice while also, as president, being a target. I do think that whoever the president is (if not ElQuackity) will be a target for something.
When it comes to q!Foolish, I think he is the best choice if you want a revolution. He seems to be vaguely corrupt already and even tried to assassinate Gegg. It would be an interesting and funny arc but there would be the looming threat of q!Vegetta so the actual damage this could do might be higher than we might expect. He is also silly and already likes the Federation (or at least pretends too); so we might get funny Federation employee and q!Foolish interactions.
I don’t know a lot about q!Felps and his policies outside of the power of pasta (if I am remembering correctly) because he didn’t really get to speak much and my Wifi is pretty bad. I would love to hear more about him though and I think it would be funny if he won. I do really love pasta.
I do not want ElQuackity to win. It would probably be interesting lore wise. It would also likely lead to a revolution arc but he has less allies in terms of server members so it would be less conflict than if a revolution occurred under another candidate. Although, he is the closest to a guaranteed one if a revolution is a must.
#qsmp#long post#sorry if i said anything ignorant#feel free to correct me#gegg#q!badboyhalo#q!baghera#q!slimecicle#only tagging people who appear before the readmore#just my opinions#none of what i say is 100% for sure the correct take#i do want to hear other takes though#note: i am actually from the uk#i know revolutions can fail#i know that they can easily result in more corruption#since people who seek power are often the ones who shouldn't have it#however i definitely don't want to speak over latin american viewers#other peoples concerns are entirely valid#i was just scared of sounding american

I think my main problem with people wanting Buddie to happen is partly the treatment of Buck's actual sexuality like a stepping stone/check list item and also the fact that neither of them are in a place where their relationship would work (which I know many people will disagree with.)
I think the first one is self-explanatory. Buck being bi is somehow for some people only valid if it's Eddie or less worth it because he didn't kiss Eddie which would make 0 sense considering neither of them would ever be brave enough right now to take that step. Of course an outside character had to step in and take on the role of the first guy Buck has ever kissed. Which leads me to the other thing. Buck is bisexual. He is attracted to both women and men. While he hasn't quiet figured this fully out yet, we know his sexuality because of the writers etc. Notice how both women and men is plural? Meaning that he has been/is attracted to all sorts of people from that gender? His bisexuality, his interest in men, isn't only tied to one person or just disappears because he is with someone. His sexual identity remains and isn't narrowed down to Eddie. I am sure there will be talk off people Buck might have been attracted to, hell maybe even guys he could have had a crush one now that he self reflects because he is realising that there was a whole different world out there he never realised he could step into. And I am sure they might make some jokes about how Buck openly appreciates guys now but is in a relationship because the firefam would just tease him about checking someone out (before they know about Tommy maybe.)
Buck is bisexual and currently he is crushing on Tommy. Buck is bisexual and can be interested in men now, can let himself look at them and appreciate them in a way he hasn't before.
This new door just opened and Tommy, someone who has been there before and has years of experience now and is kind and gentle and also really smitten by Buck, Tommy is right there waiting for Buck. He isn't pushing him or grabbing his hand he is waiting for Buck to reach out, to seek him out because he needs Buck to take this step. Tommy can't make him come out or tell him when to be ready and he has patiently explained that and added that is willing to wait, that it's okay if Buck isn't ready.
And Buck, he is still confused, but isn't confused about wanting Tommy there.
Buck is actively reaching out for Tommy and Tommy is gently guiding him, waiting for him to take a step back if he needs to. Because this is Buck's journey and not his. This is Buck coming to terms with his sexuality and his identity and it isn't about Tommy or Eddie or anyone else, it's about Buck. This is the one thing that Buck needs to do himself because no one else can do it for him.
So yeah, this isn't a Check list item, this is a lifechanging journey that Buck is making. A discovery into who he is. And Tommy being there, that isn't a stepping stone to some final end goal (which doesn't exist either), it's someone who really likes Buck being there and wanting to be there.
Now onto the part where I think Buck and Eddie will not be good for each other as a romantic relationship or wouldn't work.
Buck is on a journey that might never end. He might never figure out a label that fits him, he might not want to have a label, he might be suprised along the way by other people he could now be attracted to etc.
Sexuality is not fluid as much as it is complex. We are only just seeing Bi people on the screen. There have been huge milestones when it comes to representation but so many people didn't have that when figuring themselves out. Hell, Buck has only now just realised he might like men too. That is the beginning of his journey. He could figure himself out in days, weeks, months, years or never because there is no timeline for your sexuality and the reality is not everyone will figure themselves out.
So Buck is still a "Baby" Bi and he doesn't even know it yet fully. And one of the most important things you can have during the time you try to figure yourself out is a support system. People who will listen and not judge you, people who will understand that maybe the label you give yourself might change later on when you have gotten more information, people that could potentially share information or stories about their coming out etc.
Buck has that support system but most importantly he has Eddie. Eddie who is his best friend and has been with him through some of the worst things but who also will just let Buck be. It can be overwhelming sometimes with how willing people are to accommodate you or treat you differently etc. Eddie is his grounding presence. You really think he will care? No and he won't change his behaviour. Eddie will be there but Eddie knows Buck so well that he can read when he needs to be which person for Buck. There is nothing Buck will need more than that right now.
And Eddie? Well, he needs that from Buck too. He just had a talk with Bobby that probably left him questioning things. He is ready to commit to a relationship, run headfirst and he doesn't even know why or is really thinking about that, too caught up in wanting to go on dates. Eddie is trying to fill a spot for Chris that can't and doesn't need to be filled and he is not even realising it. Eddie isn't stable. Both in a romantic relationship and in himself. At first he was trying to leave something that he wasn't ready for (a family), then he has been trying to push off his families expectations, then he has been trying to fill something that wasn't meant to be filled all while managing the left over PTSD from his army days alongside the challenge of a single father. He got so bad about the prospect of the future he started having panic attacks who where coincidentally around the time he was shot too. Eddie has so many unresolved issues because he doesn't think he needs to be fixed. He thinks if he can just fill some gaps, if he can just pretend that things will be fine but maybe he is finally starting to realise that won't work. Chris needs him and in the time of Chris needing him I think he kind of forgets sometimes that he needs to be okay. That Chris will always come first but Eddie can't do that when Eddie isn't fit. There is so much baggage he is carrying around that he has refused to open up. The fact that he just realised how heavy his religious upbringing might weigh on him is other thing that he needs to deal with. And that's okay! It's okay to take that step back from a relationship because Eddie needs to put himself first. And right now Eddie isn't doing that. I think he is finally starting to wake up and realise that he needs to do that and that he might need help being able to do that.
This is in direct contrast to Buck who has had that realisation and worked on himself and now, eventhough there is this new part he hasn't figured out yet, is taking a first step. Buck who is putting himself first and needs his system to be there while he maybe fits this last puzzle piece into place so that he can have a fully picture. Buck who actively reached out, who made a decision to step onto a new path in contrast to Eddie who still keeps walking down the same old road he deep down knows is not the right one.
And right now Buck needs someone like Tommy there who is willing to let Buck figure himself out and willing to wait, to grab Buck's hand when he reaches out, to kiss Buck after he says okay, to take this relationship at Buck's tempo.
And Eddie is nowhere near that. He is nowhere close to taking a first step. I know he will probably get there but that is where my concern for the Buddie relationship comes in.
Whenever something goes wrong with Buck or Eddie they turn to each other. Because that's your best friend, your family. But how can they turn to each other when the other is the problem?
What will they do when they might kiss and have questions but they can't answer them because the person who would asually help them is the one that caused the questions?
When they fight, who will they turn to when it's always been the other?
If they need someone to talk to about being concerned about things in their relationship who could that be?
Because making Buddie canon would fundamentally change their dynamic. Because making Buddie canon would throw in the question if they can still be each others nest friend while also being each others partner?
And with the way we have seen how codependt they are to a point where it ruined some parts of their relationships with other people? I don't think that codependency is good.
It would ruin their relationship. They need to grow to a point where they can both put themselves first, can openly communicate their feelings to the best of their ability and have understand that their relationship can not be the same as it was before (something I think most shippers don't want to admit.)
Because they are each others person. But can they be each others person while being in a romantic relationship? For me that is a no. Especially with where their characters are. Especially with how long of a path they still have to take.
Can they be both the others person and the others boyfriend and balance that correctly especially with the fact that they are raising a kid together and will both still be new to their identity even in 2 seasons? Can they fit so many roles in each others life without one taking over too much? Can they fit their job and those dangers into everything else as well? When they would officially make that step could they still work with each other?
I am not expecting a Bucktommy endgame or saying Buddie could never happen but for me I just wish Tommy would be allowed to be a genuine love interest and I am also certain that for me Buddie will never fully be a stable relationship because of how much they are too each other in all the aspects in their life.

listen, my stance on it is this:
if you like the show, that’s great, more power to you! It has its merits and people clearly cared about it, and if you find enjoyment in it then that’s awesome! however
Please Don’t disregard people’s complaints about it. I understand NV fans can be frustrating, even annoying in some cases, but consider if they had done this to any other location in fallout.
If the show was set in the east coast and showed a destroyed commonwealth a lot of people would be upset as well.
The details about Shady Sands being nuked was not made clear either, hence why people thought they were retconning the game.

Part 4 Critique: Everything I'd Change
I love DIU..however, I consider it one of the post flawed of the JJBA Parts. Honestly, I feel like Araki didn't fully know where he was going with it til halfway, which is why the plot can be so janky. No matter what, let's dive into it. First, characters.
(also quick disclaimer: this is all my opinion and i am biased for MANY things.)
if u diagree w me dont tell me i think it would crush me
Characters [Josuke, Jotaro, Okuyasu, Kira]
Josuke Higashikata
I LOVE Josuke. I think he's a lovely character concept and his design is really cool. My main problem with him is literally his LACK of screen time!! He is the Jojo of this part, yet his spotlight is constantly stolen by other side characters like Koichi, Rohan, and even Jotaro. This also happened a lot in Part 3, with it basically being the Polnareff show (idk why Araki did this sm in pts3-5...either let the mc have screen time or don't have them be the mc!!)
I think Josuke had some of the most missed opportunities in DIU. Especially with his relationships with other characters. I think this part could've been way more interesting if it chose a solid theme, and one that I think would've made sense is commentating on death & tragedy and how that can impact personal relationships. The reason I believe this is because there's already easy set ups for this in the story. Ryohei's death, The Nijimura Brother's family, Reimi, Shigechi, and Jotaro all have that theme in place, but not enough connecting points or real arcs related to this. What was the point of killing off Ryohei (who was the only father figure Josuke had growing up) if you're not going to show how this impacted Josuke, Tomoko, and how he acts with others besides one single page? Sure, it taught him that his powers have limits and that he can't save everyone, but that was a stupid thing to teach him because Okuyasu doesn't fucking die when he should've!! Like why did we make an arc saying 'hey stands aren't magic they can't bring ppl back to life' just for EXACTLY THAT to happen??
Moving on, I also have problems with his stand. I LOVE Crazy Diamond, I think it has a super cool design and power concept, but personally I wish it's powers were more grounded and had clear limits. I feel like a lot of stands suffer from this treatment of vague power limits (ex: Golden Wind..) but my problem with CD is that there were MANY opportunities to add one! For example: we know Josuke couldn't bring back Ryohei even after using his stand on him. So that bears the question: what can CD not fix? What is the real reason it can't bring a dead person back to life? Jotaro says "No stand has the power to bring back the dead" WHY?? am i missing something? Have I forgotten when it was officially established that stands cant do that? I mean, literally in part 3 there was a stand that could reanimate corpses. So does it have to do with the soul? No matter what, I would've used this moment to establish that CD can't bring back ANY living thing. I actually wrote a short fic abt this and included the fact that he also couldn't "fix" a dead leaf. I feel like overall his stand needed more grounding.
Also, I have beef with Josuke's backstory, but I'll get into that later.
Jotaro Kujo
Ok firstly, I have MAJOR beef with his design in part 4. Mainly the fact that he's drawn extremely pale in the anime. Like..obviously he COULD be pale as he is wasian (im not trying to say all wasian ppl look the same), but he is TAN in part 3. Why did they take that away?? Pisses me off to the extreme. At least they fixed it in p5+6. Anyways..
Character wise, I really enjoy Jotaro's personality in p4. I like how he's mellowed out in comparison to p3. However, I feel like he needed a more clear role in the story. He showed up to figure out grandpappy's shit, and then took the leader role when facing Kira. Why don't I like this? Because most of the time Jotaro was just..there. I think Araki wanted him and Josuke to have a mentor/student relationship (ex: rat episode) but just didn't focus enough on them or Josuke training with his stand for this to work.
Also, the fact that it took Jotaro so fucking long to figure out who Kira is WITH the help of all those other stand users is so goofy. Like him and the gang back in '89 found Dio's ass from a goddamn microscopic fly in a photo but couldn't find Kira's identity?? Like ugh he almost redeemed himself with the button thing but then he got blown up like gosh what happened king
When it comes to stands, I forever find it stupid that Jotaro didn't work with his stand to become more powerful. Araki just had to nerf him (which is something he does with most reoccurring characters, ex: Joseph). I don't like it and it pisses me off.
With the death of Ryohei, I feel like it would've made more sense for Jotaro to somewhat open up to Josuke and be a bit more sympathetic towards him about it (or maybe he stays closed off until Josuke explodes, causing Jotaro to reveal the truth about his past.) Either way, I think the two of them could've bonded over shared grief.
Okuyasu Nijimura
I absolutely ADORE Okuyasu. I think his dynamic with Josuke is really fun to watch and his personality is just overall super enjoyable.
Stand wise I do think Araki slightly nerfed him by making him dumb as fucking rocks, but I let this slide a little more just bc he's a side character..
I honestly think Okuyasu has the best character arc out of the whole part 4 cast. I think he definitely deserved more screen time, but what we got was really solid in my opinion. His relationship with his brother was well developed and it was really interesting to see how it still affected him even after his brother's death. The way he felt a need to get revenge for his brother and still felt like he wasn't enough really hit me in the gut. I love him.
When it comes to Okuyasu's "death" I have very mixed opinions. On the one hand, ofc the goat of part 4 survived. On the other hand, I feel like him surviving goes directly against the idea we've been given since the beginning. You can't save everyone. And on the one hand, I enjoy the subverting of expectations. On the other hand, I don't like how it's still just never fully explained. I guess in JJBA as long as your soul doesn't feel like dying yet, you won't. I wish we saw Okuyasu actually speaking to his brother when he "died" however. I find him and Keicho's relationship really gut-punching and that would've been a fire scene imo.
I have more to say on him, his dad, Keicho, and the arrow, but I'll save that for when I'm talking about the plot.
Yoshikage Kira
I find Kira to be a really interesting villain. I really enjoyed every moment we got going deeper into his psychology and it's something I really wish we got to see more of. I enjoy his sleek design and he's fine asf tbh.
Im not gonna give commentary on his stand rn bc honestly i dont fully remember how that shit worked by the time he was using the arrow
Character wise I just really wish he was established as the main villain sooner. The build up and hints dropped about him were so addictive, so it's disappointing that they're only there a little before his full introduction.
The psychology of Kira is something I really liked. The way he truly believes he's never really done anything wrong and only wanting to live a peaceful life is something I wish was even more looked into. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but from my memory, in the manga Kira's whole thing with his nails growing quicker when stressed/when his need to kill is getting too strong was only psychological. At least, I don't remember them growing the same way it's shown in the anime. I think this would've been something really interesting to deep dive into. The fact that he believes his nails grow when his need to kill is really high is really intriguing and the overall connection between hands and his killings are something I wanted to be fully developed more. I know it was kind of just a weird ass fetish but like..that's interesting!! this is interesting!!
I'll probably make an individual post to talk more abt him.
Plot
Where do I even begin. The plot of part 4 is all over the place. I loved many episodes, and I enjoyed when it leaned more into the slice of life style, but why the fuck where there like 3 seperate plots? Honestly, cut out Anjuro. His whole plot shit was annoying as hell. Didn't care for him.
Akira's entire plot pissed me off. I only like this arc because of Okuyasu. Overall I found there to be a lot of plot holes and just annoying parts. Everything til Kira was like this for me. Like get to the REAL plot please.
The arrow annoyed me. I've never wanted to rip my hair out more than when Kira's dad got a hold of it. He was SO GODDAMN ANNOYING. I like the concept of Kira using the arrow to get allies or ways to cover up his plot, but most of the stand users that came out of this were annoying and Kira's dad was insufferable in the worst way possible.
I think something I wish was more covered by the plot is the aftermath of Part 3 and Dio in general. This is something that CDDH (best jojo spinoff) covers really nicely, however. Go read it.
I also just in general think more should've been done w Okuyasu's dad, as he is a direct aftermath of Dio.
I feel like a lot of the women in Part 4 were set up to have strong, actually plot-influencing roles, but then were totally side-lined. I'm going to make a full post abt this tho.
Reimi being connected to Rohan never made sense to me. Just narratively speaking, why did you connect the main motivation for catching Kira to a side antagonist instead of the main character? This is slightly fueled by my hate for Rohan but like, c'mon! I think it would've made more sense to 1. just not include Rohan so fucking much and 2. connect Reimi to Josuke's past.
Speaking of Josuke's past, I feel like it just..needed more. Or at least, I think something needed to be done with the boy who saved him. I can appreciate the idea of it connecting to a theme of the general kindness of strangers, but you don't see that theme pop up as much in the rest of the plot. Also, I again would've connected Reimi to Josuke because WHY ISN’T SHE CONNECTED TO THE MAIN CHARACTER OH MY GOD
Overall tho I like the vibes of part 4, i really enjoyed different arcs and characters, and I just wish Araki got more time to flesh everything out and refocus on certain themes and characters.

I don't like Life Is Strange: Double Exposure as a video game because of how buggy it is and how bland/meaningless/OOC a lot of the dialogue is, but I see what D9 was trying to do with the story. Plus I adore so many characters in it, so it has a small but special place in my heart as a continuation of LIS1, although I'm not sure that I consider LIS:DE to be cannon unless the next game explains a LOT of shit. I think if they gave themselves another 2-3 episodes and tested their game for bugs before putting it on the market FOR $50 FOR THE *BASE GAME* WITH CASH GRABBY INCONSEQUENTIAL DLC, D9 maaaybe could've had a decent game? It's unfortunate how D9 treated Chloe, unless they're gonna explain why she became a douchebag in the breakup/separation scenario in the next game because y'all know that shit was so fucking OOC for her if you've played LIS1 and/or LIS: Before the Storm (which is D9's own game ffs) before.
Tbh, after seeing how Max

was able to merge two timelines together in order to save Safi instead of having to choose between saving Caledon or Max's best friend from the storm again, it makes me think that D9 really pushed for the Save the Bay ending to be cannon. Because it feels like Max is refusing to kill her friend again instead of refusing to let the school and all of the students and faculty die, unlike in LIS1 where you have to make a choice either or. It was a choice of morals that I struggled with in the first game. Double Exposure wasn't even a struggle. Max just said "NOPE NEVER AGAIN" after trying to find a way to not kill Safi for the past two episodes before that moment. It feels like she completely regrets having to choose to kill Chloe--or at least that's what the narrative seems to elude strongly to, kinda like with how they obviously pushed Max having a crush on Amanda based on the dialogue--and refuses to kill Safi by using her new powers to force the timelines to merge (because there will definitely be no major consequences for that, right?????), thusly making everything work out instead of letting things be unpredictable and pan out the way life is supposed to like alive douche canoe Chloe wanted Max to do while they were still dating and/or traveling together.
Idk if any of that makes sense since I started rambling lol, but I appreciate you reading my thoughts and opinions if you've made it to the end here. X
