wow I didn’t think reblogging that tea post and then seeing people’s tags would deal me such strong psychic damage. come over I can fix you I can find a tea you will like. “I don’t like tea” how can you say that as a blanket statement when there are so many vastly different kinds of tea. head in hands
#‘it’s like coffee but not good’#while a cup of black tea does have a great deal less caffeine in it than coffee#it also has a stimulant called l-theanine which is NOT found in coffee#and the more complex combination of the two stimulants hit your system much more slowly#which is why tea doesn’t give you jitters like coffee does#anyone who’s like wow I need my coffee to survive but I hate that it makes me nauseous and gives me heart palpitations and bad breath#to you I say. wean yourself off coffee and onto tea!!!!!!!#but WAIT I can keep going. nauseous? ginger tea. sore throat? peppermint contains menthol which works as a numbing agent#green and black teas are both very high in antioxidants#chamomile and lavender do both have a calming affect#BUT WHAT ABOUT THE TASTE I hear you say#IT TASTES LIKE GRASS. try a floral tea or a black tea or chai or Thai tea#ITS SO BITTER you’re either steeping it for too long or the water you’re using is too hot#not to sound like I’m fucking uncle iroh or something I just apparnerlt have strong thoughts and feelings about tea#I can’t handle ppl going ugh I hate tea and it’s like. overbrewed lipton in microwaved tap water.#anyway MY favorites are jasmine and lavender earl grey#and currently I’m really into this corn silk tea my brother bought me at h mart#it’s like gen mai cha but even more#congrats for making it this far into my tea rant tags. if you comment your tastes I can give you a personalized tea recommendation

But a) brokenness doesn’t come in only one flavor (and for that matter neither does escapism#There are things I rather like to get away from in my preferred fiction#Like I’ll tolerate some of the things I like to get away from as long as the author doesn’t wallow in it before getting to the better truth#b) In this world you will have trouble#Doesn’t help me without#But take heart! I have overcome the world#And c) That the breaking will be mended in the end we Christians know and it’s at the heart of every really good story I believe*#but what of this often wildly beautiful in-between time called life that we currently experience? It’s still true too.#Taste and see that the Lord is good!#“Pine trees are just as real as pigsties and a darn sight prettier too”#*some may say that tragedies are the category that negate this idea and it’s true I haven't made a study of tragedies and what their#appeal is because they don’t often appeal to me but I’m sure there’s a reason#If only because light shines brighter in the darkness#So to circle back to my first point yes some stories need to not shy away from darkness but if it ends there you have to consider what#The point of it all is and whether it glorifies God. so it’s not as simple as no tragedies but I think you have to at least imply the#Better Truths#Anyway now I’m just rambling and people who like tragedies should come educate me on why#But the idea of telling the truth and then telling a better truth has been percolating for at least a month now and so I must now test#the brew so to speak

Attempting to convince my mom to let me bring a new mac and cheese recipe for thanksgiving. Wish me luck

Once saw a post from someone whining about when Ragatha isn’t drawn with curves and it disappointingly had a lot of traction and fans agreeing and every now and then I think about it and am like What
It’s ok to let a female character be flat. It’s ok to like a female character with a flat ass even lol.
People will complain about non-diverse body types when it comes to female characters but then turn around and do shit like that with her when given non-conventional designs.
Pomni’s shoulders are wider than her hips. Ragatha is as flat as a board. Gangle. It’s okay to still like them like this god.
Let female characters be cartoony. Let them be proportionally funny.

I’ve been trying to put my finger on what’s been bothering me about all the backlash against the new masks, and I think it pretty much boils down to this —
Sleep Token: We’re a masked metal band with a creepy eldritch horror theme! Isn’t that fun?
Fans: Yeah!
Sleep Token: Great! Now we’re gonna wear masks that actually look creepy, like something out of a horror movie!
A shocking amount of fans: Uhhh…. No, not like that, this clearly isn’t your correct aesthetic, which we obviously understand better than you yourselves. Go back to the sleek minimalist look that we thought was hot

had two (2) drinks last night and my tummy hurt then and I’m having a bad day today so I think maybe I’m just not built for alcohol really
#blue chatter#I’ve only ever had one drink at a time before#and been p much fine besides maybe not liking the taste and feeling a bit dehydrated#but my roommate was celebrating finally having a day off (they’ve been working 2 weeks straight) by ‘getting drunk and watching 30 rock’#and I had two drinks. which tasted good! but gave me a tummyache. and 2 drinks super did not feel different than 1 otherwise.#I have a lotta body mass and a good amount of it is fat so it makes sense that I don’t get drunk or even tipsy from that#but yeah. today I woke up and my nerves were Mad At Me so I think alcohol just doesn’t mix well with my fibro#and all the extra pain is not super. worth it. so I think in the future I’m not gonna have more than one.
