I miss my WoW Au. If the thought of doing a deep dive of WoW didn’t make my head feel like it was going to explode or that I refuse to start another extremely niche crossover, maybe I’d write it.

Mostly I just love the idea of Max being a Forsaken spy. She’s low key terrible at it but accidentally keeps finding out important information because Chloe, a Worgen warrior, keeps getting them involved in stuff. Chloe knows that Max is a spy but she doesn’t really care much about the Alliance as a whole and hates Genn Graymane a lot specifically. (As she blames him for almost everything that went wrong with her life; her dad dying, as he died building the wall: Max dying, as her family moved due to their property being used for the wall; Joyce and David dying, as they died when the kingdom fell to the wild worgens.)

Like Max is kinda just supposed to get a feel of what Alliance champions are doing but Chloe keeps getting them involved with incredibly important missions that by all rights she shouldn’t be involved in. She’s accidentally one of the most accomplished Horde spies because god forbid Chloe doesn’t get them involved with every major event ever.

The only real bit I have planned out for this AU is that it all comes crashing down when Chloe realizes that Genn is on the edge of making them go to war with the Horde during Legion because he keeps trying to stop Sylvanas from doing whatever the fuck she’s doing so, in the classic Chloe ‘I never think anything through’ Price way she just flat out attacks him a little bit.

Naturally Max then has to figure out how to get her out of getting executed for treason.
