personal rant under break

I basically gave up on everything when I was around 13 and stopped trying in school, even though I really enjoyed learning and had a genuine passion for a lot of it. I love doing literary analysis, I love reading, I love history, I love languages. I passed high-school through some miracle. I slept through most of my classes, showed up late, intentionally coaxed chatty teachers to spend all lesson airing their personal life to the class instead of doing work so I could sit in the corner and draw instead, I never did any work. I just gave up.

for some reason though, I've been tempted to try again, and study history in university. But if I want to do that, I would have to go back into education for 1/2 years, bust my ass trying to get a good grade, and then study at university for 4 years. I don't know if it's worth it but like. I do enjoy history. I do enjoy literature. I can't make music my job unless I get extremely lucky, and I don't want to spend my life working a boring dead end retail job because I gave up when I was 13

but God, it would be so much effort, and I'm so tired...

effort feels like so much. I have to fight to get out of bed every day because I feel so miserable and awful all of the time. I have no attention span and I'm terrible at communication. I struggle to engage in basic conversations with people, even if it's something i'm interested in, because my anxiety is too bad. I don't know if I'm even capable of doing anything anymore, or if I've grown too stupid to ever make anything good of myself. I feel like such a waste of space and potential.

Saw a post that made me furious yesterday so if people STILL don't understand this:

Aspec people are queer.

And no, it's not our love that makes us queer, it's our LACK of certain types of love that make us queer.

There is of course aspec people who are queer both because of their love and their lack of love, but being aspec is queer because of the lack of love.

Saying "but aspecs love too! Their love is also important! Aro and ace people have love and their love is also important!" is not the support you think it is for a lot of aspec people.

My love for my mother isn't what makes me queer. My love for my friends isn't what makes me queer. It's my lack or romantic love that makes me queer. Yea love is important to me, especially platonic love, but that is not what makes me queer.

And let's not forget about loveless aros.

For the love of god stop going "but aros love too!" just so you can relate to us somehow or just so you can include us. We don't need love to be included.

And because some people are going to take this as a personal attack: no, there is nothing wrong with being gay. There is nothing wrong with love is love. Love is important to a lot of people and I am not saying love is bad.

yknowwww there is something... deeply uncomfortable about the way mel never speaks directly to viktor in the 'build hextech weapons' scene. she really only speaks to jayce. plenty of people have pointed this out already but like the one scene they actually share a meaningful interaction and she treats him like he's beneath her. all this after jayce has emphasized how important viktor is, that hextech is theirs, together. she unequivocally ices him out, there's no other way to interpret this scene. the way it's shot too - from viktor's perspective, looking up at her, as though to reinforce the same belief in him. like he doesn't even bother expecting respect from her - or anyone from the upper echelon of piltover. he's fully accustomed to being dehumanized by everyone around him at this point. sometimes even by jayce, despite the trust they clearly have in each other.

then of course after this scene is viktor experimenting on himself. it's pretty clear that he has internalized his own dehumanization. crazy.

Accidentally went on MDZS twt and saw a "wwx was SO affected by classism" (valid by itself) take and the subsequent "yzy and jc called him the son of a servant all the time!" (Former did, latter literally says "what kind of servant has their master peeling Lotus roots for them?" He is still classist but I think it's pretty clear wwx is Family to him) takes. For good measure, JGY's name was also thrown around a bit "I don't know how anyone can sympathize with him, classism or poverty or not..." well.

There was also an LQR picked on wwx because he was a servant explanation that got quite a few likes... And I was just... Blocking people left and right for my peace of mind. I was so glad for a second that I've built my own bubble here.

Do you know how high the cost of living is just to afford the basics in fucking LOS ANGELES?? You really think they're pocketing all that rather than reinvesting it in their creative endeavors and treating their employees like human beings??

Y'all are acting like they're the next Jeff Bezos because it costs money to make art while ensuring everyone working on it gets to have a roof to sleep under and enough food to eat in one of the most expensive cities in the country?? They aren't even remotely the same, and it's fucking insanely out of touch to claim that they are and proves y'all have no concept of actual class politics aside from "money bad".

And again, I never hear people say this shit about Dropout. Do you know how much it costs to make even just ONE of those shows?? Do you remember how they had to let go of ALL their employees aside from like Sam and Brennan and only release one or two shows until they could make enough money to hire everyone back and actually pay them fairly while still making high quality entertainment?? Not to mention the costs of on-set covid tests and masks for the staff to keep their employees, crew, and actors safe?? Are they unethical greedy capitalists for having their own streaming service so they aren't punished by the notoriously homophobic anti-adult content shorts-are-the-future ass youtube algorithm for making long-form, raunchy, queer inclusive shows??

The double standard here is legit blowing my mind. Actual clown behavior.
