I’m rewatching a 09 Modern Warfare 2 playthrough and is Allen one of the playable characters considered important at all? Unless im forgetting lore since it’s been so long I never see him brought up at all or is that just because of the focus on the main 141?

Oh yes Joseph Allen! Yes he is playable. He is one of the most pivotal characters in the game. He is the one MacTavish chooses (that does make him 141 technically) from bravo team (He is your intro character) that is placed with Makarov by Shepherd for No Russian and is killed as the catalyst of world war III.

One can even argue that Shepherd was working with Makarov in order to start world war III and Joseph Allen was but a pawn in their games.

I love talking about the mechanics and technical aspects of the OG games any question you have about that I promise you I know and if I don't I will figure it out for you

I have genuinely played them so many times I know most of the stuff off the top of my head
