Pagan? Satanist? Clown!
I think the Joker might actually be pagan or a Satanist? Either way, He definitely worships Baphomet. Joker is a leader of a cult in France called “The Circus of Clowns” as seen in Europa.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Penguin Pain and Prejudice #2 Joker is caught doing a strange ritual with a taxidermied goat (which is hilarious), in 1997 Batman 544-546 Joker is shown messing up a demon summoning ritual and reading the Necromicon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Joker did sell his soul to the demon Neron in 1995 “Underworld Unleashed” for a box of Cuban cigars. Oddly he also sold his soul previously in 1975 Joker #10 to the actual devil who was dressed like Elton John for some reason. In Suicide Squad one of the Joker’s thugs that breaks him out of Arkham is wearing a priest uniform with a Goat Head which is a representation of Baphomet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Batman #90-91 2020 the Joker meets the Designer (Who is supposedly the Devil) and reveals that he wants to become the Devil himself. In the background of his cell in a lot of comics he has pentagrams and devil graffiti on his walls. In Legends of the Dark Knight #163 Joker is shown sleeping with a stitched up devil plushie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Batman Confidential “Of Lovers and Madmen” the pre-Joker and his minions all wear red painted bull mask which is also a representation of Satan. In Arkham Asylum ASHOASE many references are made to the occult and paganism by the Joker and others. In one of “the Man Who Stopped Laughing”#5 in Joker’s side comic, Joker is shown reading a book bound in human flesh called “the Maleficium”, which is apparently DC’s version of the Necrocomicon (a fictional occult book by HP Lovecraft). In Batman Black Mirror the Joker talks about how Gotham means goat and, how Joker himself is the goat which once again makes references to Baphomet and, Joker thinking he himself is the devil.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I honestly want DC to build more on the fact Joker has a cult instead of just showing snippets, I would actually like to see a story based on Joker’s Cult. It would be interesting to see the inner works of a cult and how the followers got involved, instead of the 3 Jokers dreck they’re still trying to get people interested in. (We don’t want 3 Joker’s DC!! How many times do we have to tell you!! It’s been 2 series now!!)

I had words to this but I didn’t write them down. But this is where Duke decides to stay in the Wayne house for good in the Sons of Anarchy AU.

Blob Danny's Adventures
After the sixth time Danny is woken from his nap by the Observants because of a serious problem (which wasn't serious at all), he becomes enraged and decides to hide from them in the best way possible: He transforms into a blob
First, because they hate blobs, and second because he had always wondered how they lived their lives. The problem is that while he was jumping, a portal to the human world opened below him, and he ended up falling straight into a weird city full of colorful people. Other problem is that Gotham doesn't have enough ecto for him to come back into his original form, was he destined to be a blob forever?
At first he got desperate when he discovered the situation but in the end he decided to just enjoy his unanticipated vacations, surely Clockwork would notice if something bad happen to him and would get him out of there.
Danny started wearing his core on his head because there was technically no point in hiding it, it would obviously show inside his body. Camouflaging it as a diadame was the best he could think of.
Although he felt very exposed, so he mostly covered it, only a small diamond was visible on his forehead, which would disappear if attacked. At least his abilities weren't affected.
What he didn't expect was to end up as an online celebrity after beating up a clown in that form. He much less expected a guy in a red helmet to start offering him "tributes" but free food was free food.
Meanwhile, the batfamily is worried about Jason joining a strange cult, but they have no proof other than the obvious happy smile on his face and his new circular key chain.

I love your metas! I was wondering... have you or anyone else tried listing all of Bruce's childhood traumas? Comics zero in on Crime Alley, but EVERY time I see a snippet from his childhood it's invariably a little-to-a-lot fucked up whether his parents are involved (loneliness, bedtime stories, his mom lovingly promising to haunt him) or not (falling into the cave, going to a boarding school run by a killer in Batman Gothic, Tommy Elliott in general, a childhood friend died of diphtheria in Batman Through the Looking Glass... he saw a LOT of death as a child, actually...)
Thank you! I unfortunately don't know of a post listing all of Bruce's childhood traumas. You've kind of already covered a lot of bases, Anon, but for the sake of completeness I'll go through all you've mentioned and the traumatic incidents I can recall too:
Bruce falls into a well full of bats and develops a phobia in response [notable post-Crisis flashback in Batman: The Man Who Falls]
At five years old, Bruce's favorite story to have Thomas read to him every night for a month is “The Veldt” by Ray Bradbury, which is largely about kids with such neglectful parents that they bond with an automated house and then leave their parents for dead [mentioned by Bruce(s) in Batman/Superman (2013) #2]
Bruce witnessed his father performing surgery on a dying man [flashback in Batman: The Long Halloween]
Thomas reads to Bruce “The Animals and the Pit” by Alexander Nikolaevich Afanasyev, a story containing cannibalism and brutal fights for survival [flashback in Batman (2016) #74]
Thomas had Bruce watch horror movies with him, with Martha having to comfort Bruce afterwards in a bit of an unorthodox way... by promising that if they died, his parents would haunt him [flashback in Detective Comics (2016) #1027 -- Ghost Story]
Bruce experienced neglect as a child, with his father's parenting style being potrayed in multiple stories as authoritarian, which led to Bruce idolizing him and craving his approval, but running to Martha for comfort when his father was too harsh [notable flashbacks in Batman: The Dark Knight II (2011) #12, but bits of this can be seen in Batman: The Long Halloween, Batman: Hush, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #58, Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on a Serious Earth etc.]
Bruce had a friend called Celia Small for a while, whom he adored. He watched her die of diptheria while he recovered, blaming himself for it [mentioned in Batman: Through the Looking Glass]
Bruce was sent to a private school as a child, which he resented as being "sent away"; the school is described as hell, a place where children were beaten, humiliated and had to fight off the sexual advances of older teachers. Bruce gets spanked as physical punishment by the headmaster, who turns out to be a serial killer, because Bruce glimpses the severed head of his only friend Robert as it happens [flashbacks in Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #7 -- Gothic]
Bruce accidentally shoots a duck with a rifle his friend Mooley had brought with them, and the death of the animal becomes a traumatic memory associated with the death of his parents, because of the gun [Batman: Secrets #4]
Bruce's childhood friend, Tommy Elliot... um. I guess I can just list Tommy Elliot, but the most direct traumatic experience at the time must've been having to stop Thomas from killing another kid, after which Thomas was put in a psychiatric institution [flashback in Detective Comics (1937) #837]
Bruce's father hits him while angry about a stock investment, with Bruce declaring in childish rage to his mother afterwards that he wants him dead... on the same day that his parents got gunned down, because Bruce's survivor's guilt needed more ammunition [flashback in Batman (1940) #430]
And then there's the shooting of his parents at the tender age of 8 years old! So all of this is prior to that! Two dead friends, one who avoided him after the unfortunate duck incident, and one friend who had a violent breakdown and got taken away... And Bruce attempted suicide after his parents died too, as told in Batman (2016) #12.

The Portland Polycule from hell rip off.
So The Muppet has lived in an aparement with some people. Lets talk about it.
The entire Living situation is a lot like the portlans polycule form hell. We have the demanding roommate in athena who is in charge of everything thats spindercatscher. The Muppet is C in this set up. And it feels so much like it. With the Muppet being forced to clean while Athena is doing some ritalistic stuff. There is a blanket privilige system, they also change sleeping spaces like the Portland Polycule Cult situation.
There is something called the meat closet which one of the members, Milton, was forced to sleep in. My first instict was Solo screaming meditation closest. But it has been claimed that in that closet was something called the rot. A bunch of alleged dead animals.
While the Portland Polycule had a uniform, The Muppets aparment situation had the requiment to be an emo.
Spinderscatschers hated burgers and forbit it in the living space, Athena has banned Italian Food.
Both Spinder and Athena dont belive in something like Persanol Property but that it is all theirs.
The Dog that died = Kermit who died
Milton was homeschooled (pretty sure) and so was spinder.
C has a side gig, milton has etsy.
The howls @ Powell´s event = Kermit funeral.
There were some weird chorses in the Portland polycule and what needs the Muppet to do? Clean the aparment with a toothbrush, Miltons toothbrush.
And who made a video about the Portland Polycule Cult situation? Father Strange.
@strange-aeons is @the-muppet-joker, pass it on.

I didn't see it but wasn't the whole point of Joker that it was realistic? It was a grim examination of what someone would have to go through to become a real life villain, right? But now everybody's mad because he can't keep it up and dies in the sequel? I'm sorry in what realistic world does a mentally unstable man kill someone on tv and then just get to run around being The Joker for five more years. He doesn't have superpowers, he's a scrawny dude who had a manic episode. He was either gonna die in prison, get killed by the state, or get shot trying to escape. And that's just the watsonian explanation, story wise it was following the structure of A Star is Born and was heavily influenced by All That Jazz, both of which end with the male lead dying because he couldn't keep up with the persona he built his life around.
