I made a series of card designs based on the canon and fanon curses from the life series!

The Canary Curse:

Based on the tale of miners bringing a canary in a coal mine to test the air. If the bird dies, the air is unsafe. This player will die first.

The Widow Curse:

This player is fated to final kill a close ally, friend, or partner. They make close connections that ultimately are betrayed, purposely or accidentally.

The Red Insanity Curse

This player will go insane once reaching their final life and gain a bloodlust that reaches beyond anything in their previous lives. They become reckless and completely unhinged.

The Enchanter Curse

This player gains an unhealthy obsession with enchanting tables to the point of life loss, endangering allies, and losing everything.

The Coal Miner Curse

Also a reference to the canary in a coal mine. This player will die directly after the canary

The Isolation Curse

This player will die alone away from anyone else, or to an act by their own hand.

The Allies Blessing

Rather than a curse, this card is a blessing. Allies or players who have landed themselves in good graces with this player will come to win a season in the near future.

The Winners Curse:

The final player of a season, the winner, will die after winning. To their own hand, or by other means.

Some curses are now broken! I still wanted to draw them despite that lol

Obligatory Limited Life mafia au 😁 but the Watchers is some stupid rich multimillionaire billionaire family who also controls the underworld & the Clockers are a tight-knit small mafia group who parodies the Watcher's name (haha get it? Like... a watch and a clock...) to criticize & mock them.

Grian is the Watcher's heir and he REALLY doesn't like his family nor the things they do so Joel & Jimmy who r sons of other rich families the Watchers are acquainted with (can ALMOST call them family friends) dragged him into making a gang lovingly named the Bad Boys <3 despite its name and the fact that its a gang, they actually just sneak out to do questionably good things such as but not limited to: Bake bread (and chuck them at peoples heads), go to ppls funeral w suits and sunglasses all ominously so the person who died looked mysterious, beat children at online games, etc.

Scar & Grian met one day and just became besties 4 resties in less than an hour idk what to say

It says something that Jimmy killed Joel and was immediately forgiven and Joel even said he was proud of him for such a clean kill but Grian IMMEDIATELY declared Jimmy as his sworn enemy until the end of the series and I don’t think it says anything about the quality of their relationships more than it does the fact that Joel is known for being unhinged and insane but he’s actually pretty chill most of the time and doesn’t really care or hold grudges whereas Grian is normally rational and put together outwardly but the SECOND you cross him all bets are off friendship cancelled you’re mortal enemies now the canary curse is back because the coal miner brought a gun

*Wild Life Spoilers ahead! You have been warned!*

I want to add my two cents to the teams discussions that have been going on, because people are getting unnecessarily worked up about it.

In the past, the Lifers have let teamups happen naturally, going off in separate directions and basing pretty much with whoever crosses their path first. Because this group is handpicked by Grian, they all work really well with each other, so this isn't an issue. However, there is the definite reality that some people bounce off each other better than others, which makes for better content, which is the main goal of this, after all (besides them having fun, of course).

My theory is, for this season, they had certain teams predetermined, at least to some extent. Not everything was set in stone, of course - I genuinely believe Lizzie joining Scar and Jimmy, for example, was a natural progression - but some feel like they were. The way some people got in the boats after the intro, specifically heading for specific people, gives the idea that this was planned. Scar waiting for Jimmy before riding off, Ren making a beeline for Martyn, who was waiting for him. I can't speak for everyone, of course, I've only seen a few povs so far, but some of the teams give this idea.

Let me emphasise this: This Is Not A Bad Thing! This is the way they felt they could make the best content and make the most people happy. You can never make everyone happy, of course, because some people suck and insist on trying to ruin it for everyone else. And the two teams I've decided are like this (Scar&Jimmy and Ren&Martyn) are actually perfection, and teams everyone's been waiting for for a while. They just decided this is the best way to ensure these teams come about, and that's fine.

I also want to add: I absolutely do not think every team is like this. I'm pretty sure Gem and Joel were natural, though I haven't yet finished Gem's ep, and Ethubs and Tango felt very natural as well (and is going to be so amazing!).

If you disagree or have something to add, let me know! I'm open to opinions!

Unless those opinions are attacking anyone for teaming up with someone again. If I see a single person attacking Pearl, or anyone else, in the notes, I'll block you, end of story. They all have every right to team up with whoever they want, and that team especially has proven again and again that they work real well together, both for hanging out and having fun, and for content creation.
