Neo: *Pulls out a wanted poster and hands it to him*

Yang: *Looks over Jaune's shoulder* "Damn... I didn't even know they could fit that many zeros on a piece of paper."

Neo: *pokes Jaune with a business card*

Jaune: *Takes the card* "Professional Minion: A loyal follower to the baddest of the bad." *Looks up slightly offended* "But I'm not bad."

Weiss: *Snatches the wanted poster from Yang* "According to this you are considered public enemy number one."

Jaune: *Sighs* "Alright, you want to be my Henchwoman. First ground rules. Don't worry they're pretty simple. Only hurt the other bad guys and don't hurt innocent people."

Neo: *Pulls out a pencil and paper and writes it down and hands it to him*

Jaune: *Reads what's written* "Only take out the competition and protect the investments. Got it." *stops a few moments before hanging his head* "Alright sounds reasonable." *Holds out his hand* "Welcome to team JNNR."

So with the full release of the volume 6 ost, we’ve gotten a bit more insight into Neo, and since there really isn’t that much we can discern about her outside her allegiance to Roman, there’s plenty of room for speculation.

So Neo is loyal to Roman since he reached out to her when she was alone, possibly abandoned.  I’d like to think that this relationship was a healthy one, less Adam grooming and more being the one “good” thing he did.  I dunno, this might be contradicted by the manga but I haven’t gotten a chance to read it yet.  Point being Roman was Neo’s one friend, possibly because she was hesitant to make any more due to previous experiences, possibly because Roman’s gang wasn’t exactly the best place to make friends.

Anyway...Neo is currently friendless, and her relationship with Cinder is very surface level, possibly even completely fake, with both just waiting for the perfect opportunity to betray the other/ using the other for their own purposes.  Cinder is after Ruby for obvious reasons, but Neo wants revenge for Roman, and the exact target of that revenge could be either Ruby, for throwing her off a plane then letting Roman die, or Cinder, for getting Roman wrapped up in everything that led to him ultimately getting killed.  Cinder is under orders to not kill Ruby, but she’s hoping to use Neo to kill Ruby for her a la loophole.  Neo, might have realized that she couldn’t outright kill Cinder at her current power level, but might be able to do her in with a sneak attack, and sought to gain Cinder’s trust until the opportune moment.

But what happens after/ if Neo manages to kill Cinder or they break up for some reason? Neo would be pretty lost and in need of some friends, and it just so happens that there’s a team of 3 that feel incomplete without a 4th.  That’s right, through the power of friendship team junior will be reborn, though slightly altered to be JNNR.

Anyway thanks for coming to my TED talk, we can just file this under never gonna happen, but still a fun little exercise
