I know this is just a shout into the void because yall refuse to listen and you just turn off your brains any time I talk about straight trans men, but:

If you are aware that me being a straight trans man means I am a trans man who is primarily attracted to women, and you are aware that transphobes think trans men are women*, how can you not understand that transphobes think I am a woman who is primarily attracted to women? How can you not understand that having an identity that is seen as a woman who is primarily attracted to women might lead to me being oppressed in some way?

*obviously it's more complex than that and trans men are seen as whatever gender is most convenient for those that hate us, but for simplicity, transphobes are transphobic and think trans men are women.

If you are aware of how queerphobes treat lesbians/"lesbians", and you are aware of how queerphobes treat lesbians/"lesbians" that are masculine, how can you not understand that queerphobes may give especially shitty treatment to lesbians/"lesbians" that identify as men, that use he/him pronouns, that have facial hair and low voices, that get top and/or bottom surgery, etc?

If you are aware of what TERFs think of trans people, how are you not aware of the special hatred they have for those who "betray" lesbianism and transition into straight men? (Not that this hatred is uniquely bad, or worse than the hatred they have for other sorts of trans people, but it does exist.)

Are you somehow not aware of how queer communities that will support you if you're a lesbian will leave you to suffer queerphobia without resources or support if you step a toe out of line the second you're "too masculine" to be a lesbian?

Being a straight trans man brings a unique combination of lesbophobia, butchphobia, and transphobia. Obviously straight trans men are not the only group to experience this combination (for example, transfem butch lesbians do as well), but we experience this combination in different ways. We do not experience lesbophobia, butchphobia, and transphobia all separately, but rather, they intersect in such a way that is specific to straight trans men.

Ever since the very first time I read Still in Dark, the detail of Zayne being covered in scars from fighting wanderers/abominations has sat so heavy on my heart. Because you know that poor man hasn't been getting any professional medical help. Much like Xavier, he's just riding those injuries out, only unlike Xav, he's not blessed with a body that heals itself with relative ease.

This particular 'moment' is from a fic I'm still formatting in my head, that will hopefully see the light of day soon. His expression is a reflection of your own when you realize just how much he's been through. Our poor little meow meow 😩

Not me debating writing an Aventio fic based on a book I really loved... urgh-

I got Aven recently and just finished his arc in Penacony and I am incredibly bored! I wanna write while I have the energy...

Basic premise is its based on a book called Written In Red, which I feel absolutely fits Aventurine??? Look at the book first, give it a read, and tell me the main character doesn't remind you of him. I will go feral.

Anyways if you don't, the premise of the book is that the main character, a blood prophet who is also a slave, escapes and runs away from captivity to a town in order to hide and live amongst sentient predators called "Others", basically ancient as fuck monsters that can swap between animal and human forms. Others actually do prey on humans, but it's modern times and they have a begrudging agreement to coexist with humans because they make decent stuff that the Others can't create. The main character ends up living among them and figures out herself, while also teaching the Others some new things. It's actually a nice book in my opinion.

I'd have to reread the book but yeah. That would be the very basic idea. I already have a character list of who is who lmao.

I wouldn't make it a carbon copy of the book though, not with the characters I have in mind, but it would be a similar plot at least. Consider giant wolf Ratio, everybody, that's all I'm giving you.

im in my Horror Movie era and like. i keep thinking how terrifying would a g/t horror movie be. a tiny protagonist in an oversized world could be so so scary. bugs, animals, unaware humans, even things just like struggling to get consistent meals or finding somewhere genuinely safe enough to rest. you could go psychological thriller about a recently shrunk person struggling to cope. you could have a slasher flick where the slasher is just an unaware giant.

i want Midsommar but it’s a borrower joining a fairy cult. i want Saw where it’s a borrower making traps for humans because they just hate giants. i want Hereditary with the added struggle of a mixed size family dynamic. i want whatever batshit original concepts A24 could do with a g/t dynamic

anyways i think there’s a huge potential for size horror and man. a movie like that would terrify me
