Quick note!
Peppino is at fault for Bruno’s creation and actions, but his stubborn nature ensures that he insists he’s completely innocent. This is to fix the character of Jekyll and his greatest flaw and imperfection! Many insist Jekyll is an innocent victim in media, but actually needs to be held accountable like in the original novella.

the things is, hyde is an embodiment of jekyll’s evil. he is jekyll, just without the parts that make hime good. and isn’t that so scary? the person who takes over your body sometimes, who does these awful things - he may give himself another name, but he’s still you. i think that’s what makes jekyll and hyde so interesting and so devastating to me, the thought of jekyll having that crushing realisation that he is hyde, and hyde is him. and he can’t undo that

Jekyll rocks ochre colours and enjoys dressing up for the occasion, meanwhile Utterson has like three coats that all look the same.

You can’t be too good at your job: FALSE.
Richard Mansfield’s 1880s onstage portrayal of Dr. Jekyll’s transformation into Mr. Hyde was so good that people accused him of being Jack the Ripper and even wrote letters to the London police encouraging his arrest.

Got super inspired by someone's rendition of Ford and Bill as Jekyll and Hyde, so I had to do my own with Loretta, My Gravity Falls oc, and Bill!! Jekyll and Hyde has been an interest of mine for years, so I thought it was such a fun idea to mash the two together- Its them,,, kinda (its not actually them but I LOVEEE it)

List of classic literature characters I think I could take in a fight:
1. Frankenstein
Hes a pussy ass bitch. One punch and he'd be crying on the floor acting like it isn't the consequences of his own actions. I'd get 10 extra points for hitting him with a tree branch cause I can make the joke of nature being the folly of men. Fuck that guy, I could beat his ass and steal his weird sister-wife.
2. Hamlet
Bro would take ten whole minutes hemming and hawing over whether or not to fight. Like bro, get on with it. Bro can't even get one job done and ends up getting everyone else harmed before even landing a hit on the target. It would be a tough fight cause he's trained but I feel like I could say "look a ghost of your father! look your evil uncle is being evil" and he'd be distracted.
3. Gatsby
Easy. BUT SOLAR, HE WAS IN THE WAR! And? If I start losing I could literally say Look its daisy and my man would be running to find her. I feel like I could take him out. Anyone going after a married woman could be an easy fight.
Characters I don't think I could take in a fight:
1. Jekyll and Hyde.
Bro I'd feel bad fighting Jekyll. Unlike dumbass Victor, bro was a real scientist who experimented on himself instead of other people. He's a good guy, I couldn't do it. Hyde on the other hand would fucking fold me. Bro bashed a guy's head in with I think a stick (I don't remember). He's winning that one. Bro stomped on a child with no remorse and no hesitation. I ain't surviving, get me out of the ring. I might be confident but I ain't stupid. Unlike victor frankenstein. Screw that guy, he's not even a real scientist. Stupid ass bitch.

Stanford Henry Pines and William Edward Cipher - Jekyll and Hyde AU designs :3
Art based on the artwork of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by: Ivan Shavrin
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Instead of wanting to separate one's being through a potion, like Jekyll, Stanford is interested in investigating parallel universes and finding out if he can project parts of people that they didn't want onto an alternative version of themselves, getting rid of the negative side easily. He found out about William through a book that appeared in his lab after coming home from a failed pitch for his research and summoned him. William lies saying that he knows how to make an interdimensional portal that would serve as an access point to a giant network of dimensions, he offers his guidance and knowledge in exchange for control of Ford's mind and body. He then instructed Stanford on how to create a drug that would prevent neural connections and transmissions to allow easier access to his brain.
William would use this drug with previous researchers or even large groups of people (cults) to facilitate possession and control and make the mind weaker to his influence over time, which is how he was able to intrude without it later on

Enfield said Hyde "carried on...like Satan" in the first chapter, and then the maid says he "carried on... like a madman" when he killed Carew. The way it changes connotation from "this guy isn't human" to "this guy is one of us gone wrong" at the exact time the boundaries between Jekyll and Hyde started to blur. The way that seemingly insignificant change of words completely changes the nature of what Hyde is-- from satanic spawn to regrettably human. I hate you robert louis stevenson you make being an author look easy.
