Mayflies look kinda freaky and i think that fits him, at least newly hatched/ molted pk.

Anyway, here's him pathetically waiting for his wings to uncrinkle

I think the spikes and all the other hard looking details would kinda have the texture of nacre. Idk the way it builds up in oysters and the shapes it creates have this freaky organic look to them. Tho i think they'd be metallic (pale ore type shit). I also made his hair longer just because <3
