… and so it continues.
The way that Williams Racing has nearly completely lost the lovable underdog reputation they have carefully cultivated over the last few seasons in record time needs to be studied.

i was very surprised at how difficult it was to find (good) resources for learners that accurately describe how 部首 (in English we translate this to be the "radical") work in 漢字 (kanji). i pulled these from a very comprehensive guide of kanji from おじゃちゃん, a native speaker who is also a language teacher and if youre interested in learning more, you should check out her full overview here.
to a beginner this might not be as useful - but when you get deep enough into japanese i think it's worth it to understand how kanji is actually used by native speakers. understanding how the radical works can also help you guess at meanings and recognize common patterns that may make memorizing kanji easier

Floriography: Resources for Writers
For centuries, flowers, herbs, and other plants have been used to convey meaning, both in life and in literature. Many of the greats, including Shakespeare, Austen, the Brontë sisters, and Steinbeck referred to floral symbolism to delicately weave into their intricate works. Flowers influenced art for generations before us, and with luck, they will continue to inspire artists for generations after us--long after we've become them.

Skincare step 1: cleansers
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gentle cleansers are like a soothing hug for your skin, delicately washing away the day's impurities without stripping its natural oils. Incorporating a gentle cleanser into your skincare routine is essential for maintaining a healthy and radiant complexion. By choosing a mild formula, you're not only showing your skin some love but also ensuring that it stays balanced and nourished. So, embrace the tender touch of a gentle cleanser and let your skin glow with happiness
Tumblr media
I personally have normal-sensitive skin so I choose to use gentle cleansers. I love Korean and Japanese skincare products, and I really enjoy the brand Cosrx I've used them for years and I've never had a bad experience with their products. I'll be doing more posts about in-depth and high-end products you can add to your skincare but for today my suggestions are basic but reliable cleansers
(I will be also doing an overall full-step skincare routine for glass skin as well as individual step-by-step posts soon💋 ) Direct links for all product recommendations are available on my pintrest located on my seriousskincare board

HEY YOU!!! PERSON SEEING APOCALYMON ART IN THE TAGS!!!
HAVE YOU SEEN @zadaruon's ART? NO? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, AN INVITATION? (THIS IS YOUR INVITATION. LOOK AT THEIR ART!)
i had the idea for this last week and since they have now uploaded a whole bunch more of their art here on tumblr, i thought now was a good time to actually draw this.
their apo design is super cool and you will look at it 👁️👁️
also, uh, don't worry about what's under the cut (i'm trying to brush off japanese skills i haven't used in a decade)
[ENG: To Zadaruon: My Japanese is a little meh. As a result, I apologize for any weirdness in this message! However, I love your art a lot!!! I want to appreciate it, so I'm (once again) gonna study Japanese!!! Until then, these awkward "thank yous" will do, won't they?]

I got this new tool which is a manual airbrush (or blow airbrush or mouth diffuser, whichever you prefer to call it) and just tested it with some ecoline and it worked exactly as I expected. It definitely needs practice, especially for the lungs ahah. But huge potential.
The splatter spots was pure ecoline (pastel red) and the more diffuse and smooth spots I diluted scarlet in alcohol. Alcohol helps diffuse and spread colour in paper. Obviously it will soak through if it's too strong a spot, just like alcohol markers. But this is definitely a great alternative to dedicated aerographs and very very cheap (less than 3€).
