Another January 6th terrorists gets sent to prison for a very long time. 👍🏼😀
This time it's 37-year-old David Dempsey who was sentenced to 240 months in prison for his violent attacks on police officers.
David Nicholas Dempsey’s sentence is among the longest among hundreds of Capitol riot prosecutions. Prosecutors described him as one of the most violent members of the mob of Donald Trump supporters that attacked the Capitol as lawmakers met to certify Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential election victory. Dempsey, who is from Van Nuys, stomped on police officers’ heads. He swung poles at officers defending a tunnel, struck an officer in the head with a metal crutch and attacked police with pepper spray and broken pieces of furniture, prosecutors said. He climbed atop other rioters, using them like “human scaffolding” to reach officers guarding a tunnel entrance. He injured at least two police officers, prosecutors said. “Your conduct on January 6th was exceptionally egregious,” U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth told Dempsey. “You did not get carried away in the moment.”
FYI: Judge Lamberth, who imposed the stiff sentence on Dempsey, is a Texas-born Ronald Reagan appointee. Just sayin'.
Dempsey was wearing a tactical vest, a helmet and an American flag gaiter covering his face when he attacked police at a tunnel leading to the Lower West Terrace doors. He shot pepper spray at Metropolitan Police Department Detective Phuson Nguyen just as another rioter yanked at the officer’s gas mask, prosecutors wrote. “The searing spray burned Detective Nguyen’s lungs, throat, eyes, and face and left him gasping for breath, fearing he might lose consciousness and be overwhelmed by the mob,” they wrote. Dempsey then struck MPD Sgt. Jason Mastony in the head with a metal crutch, cracking the shield on his gas mask and cutting his head. “I collapsed and caught myself against the wall as my ears rang. I was able to stand again and hold the line for a few more minutes until another assault by rioters pushed the police line back away from the threshold of the tunnel,” Mastony said in a statement submitted to the court.
Dempsey is a violent terrorist. Like many Nazi Brown Shirts of the 1930s, he has an extensive criminal record.
This is from Sedition Hunters, an online group dedicated to identifying and tracking down January 6th terrorists.

This is one of the terrorists who Weird Donald Trump refers to as "patriots" and "hostages". Trump has promised a pardon for all the January 6th terrorists if he's returned to office. Let Trump win and he will not be the only criminal who walks the streets freely as a result. A vote for Harris-Walz is a vote against domestic terrorism.

We have to be prepared for the possibility, even the likelihood, that this SCOTUS will simply make up some flimsy grounds to hand the election to Trump, no matter what the results of the vote are.
This does NOT mean that there is no point voting- quite the opposite. The turnout must be so overwhelming that the attempted coup is obvious as the fraud it is, to rally mass protests and a general strike, and to give Democrats the backbone not to concede.
This is a fight for the survival of America- maybe the human species (Nukes, The Climate Crisis).
Accepting defeat is simply not an option.

Trans woman gets thrown in jail for trying to overthrow the government and expects the "kill all trans people" party to get her sent to the woman's jail.
If they knew she was trans at the time they would've killed her during the coup attempt.
She got way more than her face eaten and she's still asking the leopards for more.
Also she misspelled Matt Gaetz's name in the text message. If he didn't hate her before he will now.

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD-08) is a living national treasure of democracy.
Rep. Raskin visited with Alicia Menendez, Michael Steele, and Symone Sanders-Townsend at MSNBC's The Weekend to talk about a number of issues.
He said Trump "came back to the scene of the crime" with his first visit to Capitol Hill since 06 January 2021. Trump met with GOP members of both chambers who ignored the fact that he put their lives at risk with his coup attempt.
Of course Trump offered no apology for his endangerment of their lives or for his damage to American institutions of democracy. It says a lot about the mindset of most Republicans these days that they will suffer no humiliation too great to show their grovelling loyalty to wannabe dictator Trump.
Rep. Raskin also talked about the GOP Supreme Court's NRA-friendly approval of the use of "bump stocks" – devices that permit assault rifles to be converted into machine guns.
Republicans willingly gave up their claim to being the party of law and order so they could incessantly pander to Trump's lust for dictatorship and to empower the NRA's goal of putting machine guns in the hands of every nutjob in the country.
This election requires more personal effort than previous ones. Be willing to do more grassroots work and make our case to low-information voters you may know.

FBI Orchestrated January 6th to Destroy Trump’s Patriots – U.S. Army Special Forces Veteran Jeffrey McKellop Exposes the Deep State’s Dark Plan!
January 6th wasn’t a spontaneous event—it was a trap. A carefully planned operation by the deep state, designed to destroy Trump’s patriots. Jeffrey McKellop, a decorated U.S. Army Special Forces veteran, has become a political prisoner, locked away by the very government he defended for over 30 years. His story proves the conspiracy to dismantle Trump’s movement and silence anyone who dares to challenge the deep state.
The truth they don’t want you to know? Capitol Police didn’t fail that day—they engineered the chaos. McKellop witnessed it firsthand. An elderly woman was pushed down the stairs three times, sparking the crowd exactly as planned. It was a deliberate move to provoke violence, giving the feds an excuse to brand patriots as domestic terrorists. This was no accident—it was orchestrated.
McKellop has been brave enough to raise the Entrapment Defense, exposing undercover FBI agents who infiltrated the crowd. These agents weren’t just watching—they were inciting the crowd, baiting patriots into confrontations with the police. McKellop has already identified two agents, and the FBI is scrambling to cover it up. They know if the truth gets out, their entire narrative collapses.
The FBI, DOJ, and Capitol Police worked together in this coordinated takedown. They needed January 6th to paint Trump’s base as extremists and justify their assault on patriots. McKellop’s case is unraveling their plot. He’s been imprisoned for over three years, subjected to solitary confinement, psychological abuse, and forced to sign documents to absolve his captors. But they haven’t broken him.
McKellop is calling on patriots to stand firm, reject plea deals, and fight back. The Supreme Court is on our side, and his case could expose the deep state’s role in orchestrating January 6th. This isn’t just about McKellop—it’s about the return of Donald Trump. The deep state is terrified of Trump’s comeback in 2024. They know what’s coming: a total purge of the DOJ, FBI, and the corrupt institutions behind this attack.
Trump will not let this stand. When he returns, executive pardons will free every political prisoner, including McKellop. And the deep state operatives who tried to destroy America will face justice.
This is a war for America’s future. The elites tried to destroy Trump’s supporters, but they’ve only made us stronger. McKellop’s fight is just the beginning. The truth is coming, and nothing can stop it.
Trump is coming back, and with him, the reckoning they fear. Stand with McKellop. Stand with Trump. 🤔

It is now September 11th in the Eastern US.
On this day, 23 years ago, terrorists attacked the United States.
In just under two months, Americans will choose whether to put a terrorist who attacked the United States back in the White House.

If your vote didn't matter, they wouldn't try so desperately to take it away.
Vote, if you can.
Vote because you can. Vote because they want to silence you. Vote for the veterans who fought so you could, and for the election workers like this brave woman who are risking their lives today so that you can.
Vote for the people who can't- and if Republicans get their way, maybe never will.
Vote.

Republicans can't win without threatening and committing violence. January 6th-like insurrections and election tampering will happen in states all across the country this time. Don't let her down!

I’m generally not a fan of calling militaries or governments “terrorist” for the same reason I disapproved of criticizing the January 6th storming of the White House by Trump supporters as an “insurrection.” It creates a binary of good, legal violence and bad, illegal violence, where the problem is not the harm done, but the criminality of it, which determines its legitimacy. We see the inverse happen, with people insisting that if an illegal resistance group is Good, they must then not be terrorists or criminals.
The worst violence in history has always been state-sanctioned, while resistance to that violence and pushes for positive change are almost always branded as illegal and terroristic, whether it be anarchists in Tsarist Russia in the 1870s, communist labor organizers during the Battle of Blair Mountain, partisans in Nazi-occupied Europe, decolonial guerrillas in French Algeria, Palestinian resistance today, or a thousand other examples.
We cannot rely on the sanctity of law, national or international, to protect or save us, and reinforcing its legitimacy only harms those outside the law. We must decouple legality from legitimacy and goodness.
“Your Honor, years ago I recognized my kinship with all living beings, and I made up my mind then that I was not one bit better than the meanest on Earth. I said then, and I say now, that while there is a lower class, I am in it; and while there is a criminal element, I am of it; and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free.” -Eugene V Debs, at his sentencing hearing for sedition charges in 1918

If Luigi Mangione is a terrorist, then every mass shooter in America is a terrorist. Then every single person who participated in the January 6th riots is a terrorist. Then every person who has committed a hate crime is a terrorist.
Get the fuck out of here with a crime that can be politicized only being terrorism when the victim was a wealthy, powerful white man.

Nick Visser at HuffPost:
Former President Donald Trump participated in a town-hall-style event with undecided Latino voters on Wednesday night, facing a series of tough questions as Americans have begun casting early ballots across the nation. Ramiro González, a Florida Republican, gave Trump a chance to “win back” his vote after he said he was disturbed by the former president’s actions on and after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.
“I am a Republican,” González, a construction worker, told Trump during the Univision event. “I want to give you the opportunity to try and win back my vote. Your action, and maybe inaction, during your presidency and the last few years sort of … was a little disturbing to me. What happened during Jan. 6 and the fact that you waited so long to take action while your supporters were attacking the Capitol.” He went on to voice concerns that some in Trump’s orbit, namely his former vice president, Mike Pence, no longer supported him. Trump rejected that any notable portion of his supporters had broken with him and then launched into a series of falsehoods surrounding the Jan. 6 insurrection while claiming there was “nothing done wrong at all” and “nobody was killed.” “You had hundreds of thousands of people come to Washington. They didn’t come because of me, they came because of the election,” Trump said, discounting his efforts to inflame his supporters after his loss to Joe Biden. “Some of those people went down to the Capitol — I said, ‘peacefully and patriotically.’ Nothing done wrong. At all. Nothing done wrong.”
Ramiro González, a Florida Republican, asked Donald Trump on how to win his vote back at last night’s Univision town hall. González explained why Trump’s despicable actions on January 6th, 2021 and afterwards was disturbing.
Trump responded to Ramiro’s question with delusional nonsense praising the domestic terrorist actions he helped incite on that date with his “stolen” election lies.

If you are ever in doubt about who to vote for, if you ever find yourself thinking that both candidates support some things you think are bad, and you don't want to vote for either of them-
Ask yourself, who do you trust to voluntarily leave office when their term is up?
An imperfect, or even a very bad, President who respects the peaceful transfer of power is a temporary problem, one that you can try to fix again in four years.
A President who does not, who seeks to permanently break that system, is not.
Trump has proven he will not respect the peaceful transfer of power, and so have his supporters.
And that is all there is to it.
“why should i vote? both parties are bad anyways.”
being a bystander means you are okay with the worse alternative.
one opponent is a racist, sexist, RAPIST, criminal. just because there have been terrible people as presidents does NOT mean we should continue that. we should not villainize change. we should not have criminals in office.
even if the laws trump chooses to implement doesn’t affect you directly, it affects your neighbors. it affects your mothers, your wives, your daughters, your coworkers.
if you aren’t voting because it doesn’t matter, vote for the lives who will be severely affected because of this election.
VOTE.
