Clumsy II.
Marc Spector + Steven Grant x F! Reader. Next part to "Clumsy." (Or Already Over IV)
Tags & warnings. You already know the deal lol + Marc is still a jerk. (Sorry btw) This is the last part of the mini saga. :)
Word count. 2.9k
Summary.
I let you down, I've been clumsy with your heart again, I guess you figured me out, Now here's a taste of my own medicine. Caught at the end of the lifeline, The catch of a lifetime. Oh, we were destined for danger, Familiar strangers.
Everything you had done for the past 2 years had been for Steven, reaching the point of having him as motivation to get out of bed.
Unfortunately, this day was no different. If you had managed to muster the courage to stand up and accept Jake's unusual invitation, it was purely for him.
The part about choosing a nice dress was a personal choice, though.
"So, then…?"
"4 o'clock sounds perfect." His voice was soft on the other end of the line. Not quite like Steven's, but Jake's voice had something… special.
Something that could make your cheeks blush just by hearing it.
"4 o'clock at your apartment then."
"Steven is excited." The mention churned your stomach.
Truth be told, you had been on autopilot for quite a while, even before Jake made his proposal. There were small details that brought you back to reality, even if it was just for a few seconds—seconds in which you physically felt the consequences.
"I'll see you in a bit, Jake." You hung up. You couldn't set his expectations too high. This wasn't going to be a romantic reunion or your way of saying, 'Everything's okay, it was just a misunderstanding.' Instead, it was your way of bringing closure to things with Marc. If it weren't for Jake, he would still cling to the idea that he doesn't need you in his life.
Knowing that at least more than one person was on your side had given you the strength to face it, and to question whether maybe you weren't the one who was wrong in this situation.
"It won't be long, buddy." You told your cat as he nudged his nose towards you. He meowed back. "Take care of the house, okay?"
Marc had been inconsolable for about two weeks now, and the news of Jake's arrival weighed heavier on him than any of the three would have liked.
It was just another way of reminding himself how messed up he was. If getting used to Steven had been an ordeal, this would probably be World War II.
He would scream at himself in the mirror or break anything that could show his reflection, depending on his mood. Meanwhile, Steven felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. He stopped being the one who took care of Marc, at least for a few days, and he had time to experience his grief as it should be.
Jake was compassionate towards both of them. He somehow understood what they were going through.
"I don't want her here!" He drank from his whiskey, savoring the burn in his throat.
It was 11 in the morning. His hand moved on its own, throwing the bottle to the ground, shattering it into a million pieces.
"Idiot," he growled.
Steven said nothing, only chuckled to himself at the mere idea that Marc probably looked insane.
He'd let him argue with Jake as much as he wanted.
"It's for your own good." It was the only thing he heard back in his head, and Marc had to put both hands over his face as a way to console himself. He was drunk, with a terrible headache, and a strong urge to give up on life, although lately, that was nothing out of the ordinary. "Give me the body."
He accepted it without protest, and even the strongest of the three groaned at the sudden dizziness and the awful state in which Marc always left the body whenever he had it in his possession.
He showered, cleaned up. Did everything the other two hadn't been doing during these sick days, even answered your call.
And when he was done, his leg trembled up and down as he stared at the clock on his wall, which showed the exact 23 minutes left until your arrival.
And despite being the most prepared of the three, he nearly jumped in fright when you knocked on his door. Exactly three times to let him know it was you, something he learned from your secret techniques with Steven.
When he opened the door, both of you exchanged smiles, which was unusual. Yours was nervous, shouting 'I'm glad to see you but I fear what might happen,' and his, on the other hand, seemed quite excited.
Even more so when you hugged each other as a way of greeting, even if the contact only lasted a few seconds.
"I'm glad you came," he whispered as he closed the door behind you.
"I told you I would."
"Yes, I… yes." He cleared his throat; he could feel the burn as if he was still drinking whiskey. "Come in, let's go to the bedroom."
You filled your lungs with oxygen, enjoying the scent of Steven before nodding slowly.
"Is Marc going to…?"
"Yes." He interrupted instantly, biting his lower lip as if he was hiding something. He directed you to his bedroom, although you already knew the paths within his house perfectly well. "I need you to listen to me and trust me."
You frowned.
"Huh?" You entered his room slowly. And he closed the door behind you.
Your expression became even more confused when you saw him lock the door.
"Sorry, there's no way he won't escape if I don't do this."
"Jake?"
"Sorry," he repeated, stepping back.
Forcing the switch between them was always uncomfortable, especially when he had to put in double the effort to get Marc out, as he clung to hiding. Unfortunately for him, Jake was stronger.
You noticed the change in his expression almost immediately. You would recognize that furrowed brow anywhere, and while it looked slightly puzzled, he didn't take long to place himself.
When his gaze settled on you, Marc could swear his heart stopped.
He had spent so much time dreaming of you that he completely forgot certain details about you that were undoubtedly better in person.
"Marc?" You whispered shyly, almost fearfully. You hadn't seen him since he cruelly broke up with you.
Your heart raced, even after all the damage he had done to you.
"I have to… Uh." The air got stuck in his lungs. After several seconds of staring at you, he averted his gaze, stumbling clumsily over his feet to the door.
He tried to open it but it didn't give way. Jake had done his job well. He gave it another tug and grew even more nervous.
"Marc!" You called for his attention, your brow furrowing. Barely 3 seconds together and you were already losing patience.
This wasn't going well.
"What?!"
"Stop it!" Finally, he looked at you, and in a matter of seconds, it seemed like his eyes had welled up with fear. Did he fear you? You, who had to tilt your chin up to look him in the face because he was noticeably taller than you. "Stop it." You repeated, this time in a low tone.
"I don't want to talk to you, I won't."
Ouch.
"Either that or you'll have to break down the door, and Steven won't…"
"Steven doesn't even talk to me!" The sudden way he raised his voice made you jump slightly, and you pressed your lips together at the news.
Would it be wrong to admit that this was something you were expecting? You remained silent for a few seconds, and you swore you could hear his ragged breathing, as if he had the right to be angry with you.
"Jake won't let you out unless we do this now." You cleared your throat as you crossed your arms over your chest.
He cursed internally at how adorable you looked in that gesture.
"You and I have nothing left to talk about."
His words sent a wave of heat through your whole body.
"What did you say, Marc?"
"That you and I do…"
"You're an idiot," you whispered with a sarcastic laugh, and he finally fell silent. It had been so long since his ego had been hurt that he almost felt good about the slight pain in his chest. "You hurt me. Like no one ever did before."
He fell silent, waiting for you to continue, but he didn't let his guard down. You could see it in his irritated expression.
“You blamed me for… You blamed me for loving Steven. You let me live with the burden of thinking that I had destroyed your life.”
"You did." He whispered. It was visible how tense his body was, and you laughed sarcastically again at his words.
"Don't give me that, Marc Spector." You spat his name out with resentment. It was the first time you allowed yourself to be angry with him after forcing empathy for him for so long. "You got what you wanted. Layla? Your life made out of lies? Pushing Steven away from you?"
His expression finally wavered, even if it was only for a few seconds.
"Layla left me."
The news hit you like a bucket of cold water.
That made everything make more sense. The sudden appearance of Jake, his insistence on you talking to them, coming back. They were using you as a second option now that they had nothing left, trying to get you back as if nothing happened.
After all, you had always been the foolish one at Marc's service, willing to give up everything for him whenever he asked.
This wouldn't be one of those times.
You gathered all the strength you had in your small body to push him with both hands. He barely stepped back, stumbling in surprise at your sudden attempt to attack.
"I hate you!" Your voice broke.
His heart raced as if he had run a marathon, yet he didn't say anything.
"I hate you, Marc!" You sobbed, giving him another push. This time he didn't even move.
He stood still, and his hands trembled.
"Why are you doing this to me?" You were still the only one speaking. You sounded devastated, even more so than the day when you almost begged him for a chance. "Why?"
And, as usual, you got no answer. In fact, you got nothing; Marc wasn't even looking at you.
The truth was, despite having to deal with Steven and Layla telling him these kinds of things, coming from you was… worse. It was like a doubly more horrible shock therapy. The pain in your voice was something he had never heard before, and the truth was, he never wanted to hear it again.
You were choking him without even laying your hands on him. The words wouldn't come out, and his feet were rooted to the ground; he couldn't even look at you.
"You're killing me, Marc." You whispered as if the strength had left you. After receiving nothing from him, you knew it wasn't worth fighting, not with him. "You don't want to be with me." Admitting it aloud left a bitter taste in your mouth. "But you won't let me go. Don't you realize what you're doing?"
It was you, as usual, who crouched down. You sought his gaze, regardless of the mess you were in.
He looked back at you, and you waited.
You waited, and you waited.
When time passed, you knew what his answer was. Marc would never take a risk, or at least he wouldn't do it for you. He was too stubborn, and you doubted that he would ever lower his eternal guard.
The day Steven begged on his knees not to leave hurt, but somehow it was worse to receive silence from Marc. Knowing how little you mattered to him based on his actions.
"I understand," you whispered, wiping your tears with the back of your thumb. "Jake? Can you let me out?"
You reached out to grab the door handle, and he grabbed your wrist.
"Let go of me."
It sounded like a threat.
He, once again, didn't respond; he tugged on your wrist and almost made you let out a shriek as you collided with his chest.
Marc was so quick that you didn't even have a chance to react when his free hand positioned itself on your chin, pressing it between his fingers and holding it firmly.
Yet, you didn't protest; you let him guide you until his lips met yours. There was your answer.
When they finally kissed, tears welled up in your eyes again. In fact, you suddenly felt like you were drowning against his mouth, as if you wanted to groan but refused to break the contact between you two.
"I hate you," you said with difficulty against his mouth, trying to convince yourself of what you had said. He just made a small 'hmm' sound against your lips.
Apparently, neither of you trusted your words.
He let go of your wrist when he made sure you no longer wanted to touch the doorknob, but he continued to hold your chin. Eventually, he also took you by the waist and brought you even closer if that was possible.
His kisses were rough, so forceful that for a moment you doubted this body was the same as that of your ex-partner. Steven had never been like this. You also wondered if this was just a result of pain and desperation, or if his kisses were always like this.
With just two steps, your body was squeezed between his and the wall.
"I love you."
Your stomach turned.
"I love you." His kisses didn't allow you to respond. You wouldn't know this, but his fear wouldn't allow him to hear what you might say about it. "I love you." His fingers tightened their grip on your chin. "I love you." He sounded desperate. In pain.
You responded to each of his kisses, and you noticed that he needed a few more seconds to find calm.
"She left me because she knows I love you." He said quickly when he finally gave you a chance to breathe. His forehead rested against yours, and those big brown eyes were fixed on you. "S-She knows… She realized that…" He stammered. There was nothing more horrible for Marc Spector than expressing his feelings, giving explanations. "S-She…”
You were worth it.
You were worth throwing his pride to the wind.
"You took my heart when you left. You took everything." He admitted in a whisper and didn't receive an answer by his own choice.
He kissed you again as if his life was slipping through his fingers.
You didn't talk for the rest of the afternoon. You received all the kisses he had to give, and he allowed himself to feel your delicate hands on him. Massaging his shoulders at times or stroking his curls as you used to do for Steven.
His heart skipped a beat when he realized that you were doing it for him this time. You were taking care of him.
"Did you miss me?" His voice was so sweet that even with your face flushed from crying, you managed to smile.
Everything was so easy with Steven.
"I already told you I did." You laughed like a little girl who was recovering from a scolding or perhaps a tantrum. You even felt lightheaded, just like in many childhood instances when you had cried until your throat begged for a break.
"How much?" His fingers traced your waist, and you sighed at the familiarity of the sensation.
"With all my heart."
His eyes lit up at your words. Poor Steven had been through so much that he could swear this was a mirage or an illusion from his brain. There was no way you were really there in front of him.
As beautiful as ever.
"I bet I missed you more." You laughed again, specifically because you knew he meant it. You missed that smile so much that you decided to agree with him. You placed a hand on his cheek and nodded.
"I bet you did, love."
Steven could have burst with happiness right then and there.
"I have to go home, Steven." You spoke again, your thumb gently pressed against his cheek, right where his smile ended.
The news hit him hard. So much that you almost wanted to laugh.
He was terrified that you wouldn't come back, that you would consider this just a momentary mistake and nothing more.
"B-But I…"
"Sekhmet is alone." You corrected him with a slight smile, trying to give him the confidence he seemed to urgently need.
He nodded silently, looking like a sad puppy.
"Do you want to come with me?" Ah, there it was. His eyes were on you again as if he couldn't believe your offer.
No wonder you had never doubted Steven's love. The guy looked at you as if you were the most beautiful thing his eyes had ever seen, even after everything that had happened, not to mention the 300 times he had apologized to you for something he hadn't done.
"Can I, love?"
"You can spend the night there."
Silence. Seconds of silence before he nodded so quickly that his curls fell onto his face, making you laugh.
A genuine laughter that lit up your entire face, much like the one he had caused on your last date when he lifted you up in his arms and Sekhmet entered their lives.
Steven felt his heart skip a beat and his cheeks turn rosy.
"Let's go!" He gave you a little nudge, and you laughed again. "Jake can drive."

You watch as the doctor began to stimulate your body to make you feel aroused as your milk began to flow out and you let out moan in pleasure as you feel your jump from nearing climax the hybrid move off your body . And began show that they ween off of you .
Doctor Ein said “keep them aroused tell I return “.

Their last two offspring were hyper aware like or our children when they are born and so I want to see if their next offspring would also “.
“I have someone in mind but if this work we must then run test of why this human can make these rare offspring vs the other host “.
Doctor Ein said “hurry I have her ready for mating so send your person down quick since I don't think we can keep her on the edge for long “
Back in the exam room you feel yourself going mad from the hyper arouse you feel . When you spot the creature you try to make your body move but you can't.
The creature smile as it move on top of you and began to mount you . The creature began to thrust into your cervix each time make you letting out moan .
“No”, you scream inside you mind as you watch the horror of being rape by these creatures . You wish for this hell to end to go back to freedom of being a normal human not some incubator for this thing .
The creature thrust against you again and again before release it seed into you and the doctors around have the creature stay inside you tell they could injected you with a dose of another drug .
You pass out from the mating and when you wake up you back to being hook up to iv and on the cold lab table lock to it with now a large group of doctor and nurse looking running tests and check every inch of you to see what make your body the perfect host .
You are a great writer - keep writing!

Resurrection - Wally West
Pairing: Wally West x gn! Reader, platonic! Dick Grayson x reader
Genre: angst, fluff, hurt/comfort
Word Count: 5.5k
Summary: it’s been almost a year since Wally died, and life has not been kind to you. it doesn’t help that when you get the flu and your fever spikes, you start seeing the speedster everywhere you turn
CW: loss of a loved one, grief, sickness, hallucinations, reader is worried they’re going crazy, overactive imagination, mentions of death, mentions of suicide, panic attacks, ghosts, reader was a part of Young Justice, mutual pining, friends to lovers, resurrection
This alludes heavily to the Young Justice tv show, especially Wally’s death. I apologize in advance because I have poor knowledge of the Flash Family and speedforce!!
day 1 of me pushing my Wally West agenda!! i absolutely adore Wally, and im so happy to be writing about him. this is literally the longest thing ive ever posted on this site but I got so into the story that I couldn’t stop. hopefully this makes sense and isn’t just a jumble of words 😭also i think from now on im gonna include wally in any of my dick/jason/tim hcs
also im very tempted to do a pt2/make a series of wally adapting to life afterwards
————
You groan in your bed, your fever spiking to an almost unbearable temperature. You spend a lot of time in bed nowadays—ever since your best friend died almost a year ago, you haven’t had the drive to do much. But being sick the past week has only confined you to your bed even more.
You roll over, hoping the other half of your pillow is somehow cooler than the side you’re on now. It’s not, and your body feels like it’s going to overheat. If it was possible to put less clothing on, you would, but the chances of your roommate coming in and seeing you naked are too high.
Speaking of your roommate, you know that when Dick comes home and sees how bad your temperature has gotten, he’ll rush you to the hospital. Paranoid, big brother Dick who insists he can’t lose another friend. Dick, who moved in with you a few months after Wally died because he was afraid you might hurt yourself. Dick, who forced you to put socks on and keep most of your clothes on because even though you feel hot, he knows you’re still vulnerable to the cold.
The socks scratch at your ankles now and you long to pull them off, lazily dragging your feet together. You squeeze your eyes shut, trying to calm your burning nerve ends.
As much pain as you’re in, this is the most you’ve felt since Wally died. From the day you watched him get vaporised, everything around you has just gotten duller by the day. You can hardly stomach to put on your costume, let alone look at Barry or Bart. Even seeing The Flash on the news is enough to make you sick.
“Y/n,” a soft voice echoes from the bed next to you.
You force your eyes open, your dark room greeting you. “Hello?”
There’s no answer, and you’re able to close your eyes again. You relax into your bedsheets, kicking the blankets off of your legs in a desperate attempt to get some relief. Clearly your fever has spiked to the point where you’re losing it.
“Y/n!” The voice is stronger now, and it sounds more desperate than before. More than that—there’s something familiar to it.
You open your eyes again and gasp, all of the breath leaving your body. There, sitting on the bed next to you, is Wally. His green eyes are full of concern, his mouth pulled into a tight line.
“Oh god,” you whine, “I really am losing it.”
You squeeze your eyes shut, willing the hallucination of your dead best friend to go away. How could any god be so cruel to inflict this on you? Knowing how you felt about Wally—and what he’d said to you during your last moments together?
When you open your eyes again, he’s still sitting there. His unruly red hair is falling into his face and all you want is to reach out and brush it away.
“You’re not losing it,” he says.
“I’m so sick that I’m hallucinating my dead best friend. How is that not losing it?”
He shrugs. “I mean it does sound pretty crazy, but I’m here, aren’t I?”
“You’re dead,” you say simply, voice void of emotions. “You died and you left and you’re never coming back.”
“I got better.”
Everything about him screams Wally. His voice, his mannerisms, even the stupid jokes he makes. But you know it’s just your brain playing a stupid trick on you. Your braincells have overheated and you’re left staring at a ghost.
“No, you didn’t. And you never will, Wally. And I know that so I don’t get why my stupid brain can’t leave this alone.”
He lays down on his side next to you, looking up at you with those doe eyes. “There wasn’t a body, you know.”
His words make you angry, they make you choke on the lump in your throat. But he’s right. Something about his death always seemed wrong to you, and even after this long, you still can’t accept it. He’s saying all of the right things, and it almost makes you believe he’s really here.
“So say you are here…why now? Why here? Why am I the only one who’s seen you?”
He strokes his chin, pretending to be deep in thought. “I don’t really know, y/n. I’ve been here the whole time. I’ve watched everything. I know how hard things have been for you guys…”
You don’t say anything, just staring at him expectantly, forcing him to keep talking.
“I’m sorry you’re sick, but I’m glad Dick is taking care of you.”
“Answer the question, Wally. Why now?”
He sighs. “I think it’s because you’re sick. I think once your fever got past a certain point you were able to hear me, and once you could hear me, you could see me.”
“How would that even work?” You squint at him, “how did you even know I could hear you?”
“I didn’t it’s just—it’s a habit to talk to you, you know? But anyway, I think it has something to do with the speed force being attracted to the release of energy, and whenever you have a fever, you release massive amounts of it. But since yours is so high…” he gestures at himself for emphasis.
“So as long as I stay sick, I can see you?”
“I think so.”
“Then I never want to get better,” you murmur.
“Y/n,” he sighs, and the tone he uses makes you freeze. You’ve only ever heard him use it once before—with you on the day he died.
The thought brings a tear to your eye, his words echoing in your ears. I love you, y/n, I always have. I’ll be back for you, okay?
When Dick gets home from work, he’s surprised to hear you talking. His first instinct is that you’re feeling better and you’re arranging to go back to work, but as he gets closer to your bedroom door, he realizes it’s not the case.
He listens in for a bit, hearing a one sided conversation. As soon as he hears you say ‘Wally’, he’s barging through your door only to find you talking to the air.
“Dick!” You cry out, gesturing to the empty bed next to you, “look! He’s back, he’s here. Wally’s here!”
Dick’s heart aches for you. You’re clearly unwell and in your feverish state, your mind is playing tricks on you.
“Y/n,” Dick sighs, “I think it’s time we go to a doctor.”
He approaches your bedside slowly, trying not to startle or upset you. He knows you’re hallucinating, and he really doesn’t want to trigger anything worse to happen.
He kneels at your bedside, just behind Wally. “Come on, we need to get you to the hospital.”
“N-no! I can’t leave Wally!”
Wally’s face crinkles up the way it always has when he feels guilty. “Y/n, I think you should go with Rob.”
“No!” You cry out, “you can’t leave me again!”
Dick gives you no warning before he’s pulling you into his arms, your feverish skin scorching his. He holds you securely, even as you cry and beg him to take you back to Wally.
“Wally, please! Do something! Let him see you! Don’t—don’t leave me again!”
“Y/n,” Dick rubs your sweaty hair out of your face. “It’s gonna be okay. You’re really sick, and you’re hallucinating, but we’ll make you all better. I just need you to trust me.”
You take a deep breath, and then another, looking over Dick’s shoulder at the redhead sitting on your bed, giving you a sad look. He gives you a wave, “it’s okay, y/n. Everything will be okay.”
You just hope he’s right.
—
The hospital takes an eternity to admit you, leaving you lying on Dick’s lap in the waiting room. You keep your eyes closed, hoping that if you open them Wally will be there, but you know he won’t.
Dick strokes your hair, rubs your back, does anything he can to keep you comfortable. When a nurse finally calls your name, he helps you to your feet and half carries you down the hall.
They leave the two of you in a small, isolated room with a bed covered in scratchy sheets. Dick helps you climb up while the nurse insists a doctor will be by shortly.
Dick holds your hand the whole time, the skin on his palm turning sweaty from where your hand touches his. Your fever has only gone up since you left the house and you feel like you’re going to burn alive.
Finally, a doctor comes in and she starts to run all kinds of tests on you. After a while, they insert an IV into your arm and push fluids to keep you hydrated. They give you medicine to help you drift off to sleep, your eyes fluttering shut before you realize what’s happening.
You wake up a few hours later, Dick no longer asleep at your bedside. Your temperature has gone down, and while you still feel feverish, you’re coherent enough to know what’s going on around you.
“—hallucinating our best friend who died almost a year ago.” Dick tried to keep his voice down but you can hear it from the hallway.
“It’s common in extremely high fever’s to experience visual, auditory and sometimes even tactile hallucinations,” the doctor explains. “Y/n’s fever was beyond high enough to cause any number of these complications.”
Your shoulders slump. You knew deep down that Wally wasn’t really there, that he was a hallucination, but a part of you just hoped…
“But it’s going to be alright? There’s not any permanent side effects?”
The doctor sounds tired of Dick’s questions. “No, we’re keeping y/n overnight for observation but there shouldn’t be any long term side effects.”
Dick thanks the woman and slips back into your room, stopping in his tracks past the door when he realises you’re awake. “How are you feeling?” He whispers.
“Somewhat better,” you admit. “Not hallucinating anymore.”
He sits in the chair next to your bed and squeezes your hand. “That’s good to hear.”
“I-I’m sorry if I upset you earlier…talking about Wally and everything. I just—it seemed so real, you know? He was right there, Dick.”
“I know. You don’t need to apologize. Your mind was playing tricks on you, n/n. I know you didn’t mean any harm by it.”
You can’t help the tears that trickle down your cheeks. “I just—I miss him so much!”
“It’s okay,” Dick leans over your bed, pulling you tightly to his chest. “I miss him too. I miss him so, so much. And if there was any chance…you know I would take it too.”
“Did I ever tell you what he said to me that day? Just before he passed?”
Dick shakes his head.
“He said—,” your voice shakes so severely it’s hard to get the words out. “He said ‘I love you, y/n. I always have. I’ll be back for you, okay?’”
The gears in Dick’s brain click together, and suddenly everything makes sense. It was no secret that you and Wally had been pining after each other for years. Always cuddling and fighting and loving and hating each other. Dick was close to both of you, and he of all people knew how your feelings were bubbling over. He knew how badly you wanted to be with Wally—and how badly Wally wanted to be with you.
It’s a cruel joke, he thinks. That in one day you got everything you wanted, and an hour later had it ripped away. No wonder you’d been like a zombie this year.
“Y/n…” he squeezes your hand reassuringly.
You squeeze his hand back, and between the fever and the medicine and Dick’s skin on yours, everything in the world feels right for a minute.
—
It takes two weeks for you to fully recover from being sick. If it weren’t for your roommate being the ultra rich adoptive son of Bruce Wayne, you probably would have had to go back to work sooner. Dick insisted that you stay home until you were fully recovered, though, offering to cover your bills for the month.
It’s also been two weeks since you saw Wally. It’s been easy to brush it off as a fever dream, but something deep within you wants it to be something more than that. Still, you try to continue on with your day to day life, putting thoughts of the speedster as far away from you as possible.
You pull into the Bludhaven News parking lot with ten minutes to spare. You grab your bag from the passenger seat and clip your badge to your shirt before grabbing the coffee you’d stopped for on the way. You’re determined to make today a good day.
You settle in at your desk, smiling at the picture of you and the original Young Justice team was kids. It makes you happy, but in the most bittersweet meaning of the word. You run your fingers across the glass, stopping them at the lightning symbol on Wally’s chest.
You’re interrupted by your boss stopping at your desk.
“Hey, l/n, good to have you back,” she smiles, and you feel as though she really means it. “We’re having a meeting in five minutes.”
You nod, thanking her. She leaves you at your desk, letting you get organized before you have to meet them in the conference room.
You bring your laptop and coffee and settle in at the big round table in the spinning desk chair. Other journalists, reporters and higher ups slowly file into the room, filling it up until it’s so full it feels almost hard to breathe.
Your boss enters the room last, standing at the front in front of the tv. She welcomes you back before explaining what’s going on in current events, and what she expects everyone to report on.
You sip your coffee, zoning out for the majority of her presentation. Every once and a while, she clicks a remote and the screen changes to a new slide. You don’t pay much attention to the tv, only glancing at it every so often.
When the screen changes to three familiar figures, you freeze. It feels like someone dumped cold water on you, and you’re painfully aware of everything going on around you.
The screen shows Wally, Bart and Barry on the day he died. Wally has a big grin on his face, clad in his Kid Flash suit, giving a salute to a security camera. You’re not sure how they got this picture, but a part of you wishes they didn’t.
“—the one year anniversary since the Flash Family saved the world, and since Kid Flash bravely sacrificed himself to achieve this goal. We want to honour them for their ultimate sacrifice, and that’s why this month, we’ll be doing daily pieces on the great exploits of the family. Also—,”
Her words echo in your ears, everything feels far away from you. The only thing you can focus on is the way your heart is pounding and the way all the air is sucked out of your lungs. Wally’s face stares at you from the tv screen, and the walls close in.
You’re on your feet in an instant. “Pardon me,” you rasp out, before almost running out of the room.
You’re not sure where you’re going. Your head is spinning, your heart is racing, everything is fading away. You stumble your way into the bathroom, locking the door behind you before your knees buckle and you hit the floor.
You claw at your throat, desperate for air. You squeeze your eyes shut, clenching your fists, desperate for pressure. When you open your eyes, you swear Wally is there.
“You’re not here,” you gasp. “You’re not real.”
Wally’s green eyes are wide, staring at you with concern. “Y/n—,”
“You’re not real! You’re just some ghost—fucking haunting me for no reason at all!”
It breaks his heart to see you like this. So sad, so hurt, barely able to breathe.
“Stop,” you choke out, “stop haunting me! Stop, stop, stop it!”
Wally hasn’t seen you have a panic attack this bad since you were kids. Curled up in a ball, gasping for air and repeating the same word over and over again. He’s desperate to help you—help you like he did back then.
He doesn’t even register what he’s doing until he pulls you into his lap, arms tight around your waist. He keeps a hand over your heart, tracing circles over it.
“Y/n, y/n…” He murmurs softly, “y/n, listen to me. Deep breath in, okay? Follow my example, feel my heart beating.”
You’re not sure how you can feel his arms on you, feel his heart beating against your back. You’re half convinced you’ve already fainted, and you’re laying on the bathroom floor having another fever dream.
Still, you follow his example. You breathe in when you feel his chest rise, and breathe out when you feel his chest fall. You stay silent for a few minutes, leaning completely against Wally until you can breathe again.
Wally rubs your hair, his other hand tracing circles on your hip bone. “How are you feeling?” He asks.
“Better,” you admit.
It takes a few minutes longer for either of you to register that he’s touching you. His hands are on your body and you can feel them.
“Wally, you’re touching me.”
“I’m touching you?”
The shock is almost enough to send you back into a panic attack. Ghosts can’t touch people, neither can fever dreams. But somehow, someway, Wally West is holding you in his arms.
—
You leave the bathroom ten minutes later, after you and Wally went back and forth on if he was really there with you or not. You insist you’re losing it, but Wally insists he’s there, and somehow when you were sick, you connected to the speed force and now you can see him.
You head back to your desk with no intention of working, set on researching the speed force and if it’s possible to connect to it without being a speedster. Of course, Google doesn’t yield the results you hope, so you decide to go a different route.
You pull out your phone and text Dick.
You: do you think you could get me Barry’s number? need it for work
Robin 1.0: I think I can manage
You: you’re the best
Robin 1.0: don’t you know it
It only takes a few minutes before he texts you his contact for Barry Allen. You waste no time in opening the contact and sending him a quick text.
Of course, you don’t get to see what he responds because suddenly your boss is over your shoulder.
“Y/n, you know what our policy is on personal devices at work. There’s too much sensitive information here.”
“I know, I know. But if I play my cards right,” your ability to think on your feet coming in handy, “I could get us an exclusive interview with the Flash.”
She lights up at that. “Okay, but remember, no pictures or recordings.”
“Sure thing,” you nod and wait for her to leave before opening up your phone and seeing that you have a new text.
You: can I ask you a few questions on the speed force?
Barry Allen: sure thing
You: i know the speedforce is like it’s own separate thing that speedsters connect to, but is it possible for non speedsters to connect to it?
Barry Allen: only under extenuating circumstances. not every ordinary person can just connect to it, but if you’ve been in contact with the speedforce unwittingly or if a speedster has accidentally shared particles with you it’s possible. why?
You: just…a theory im working on for work. we’re doing a piece on Flash Family to honour you guys for saving the world and I wanted to look into it more
You: thank you
Barry Allen: do you think you’ve been in contact with a speedster recently?
You: i don’t know, if I’m being honest.
Barry Allen: okay…keep me updated, okay? if you need anything at all, don’t hesitate to ask
You: thanks
You frown, your conversation with Barry only making you feel more confused. How would you have had contact with a speedster or the speedforce? It’s been almost a year since you last touched Wally, and there’s no way the symptoms are only coming out now. And the speedforce—there’s no way for you to have connected with it either.
You look up from your phone only to see Wally sitting on your desk, looking at you with amusement. “Get what you wanted?”
“Why are you still here?”
“What?” He holds his hand over his chest, feigning hurt. “You don’t want me here?”
You go to speak but realize your coworkers are giving you strange looks. You quickly put your phone up to your ear, pretending to be on a phone call.
“Of course I want you here. I lo—miss you, okay? But it’s not possible. You shouldn’t be here.”
“But I am, y/n. And did Barry not just confirm that to you?”
You sigh. “I will admit, what Barry said does confirm my theory, and what you said while I was sick but…”
“But?”
“It shouldn’t be possible. You were vaporized, Wally. You’re dead. So even if you are here, you’re just a ghost.”
“Ghost, schmost,” he rolls his eyes, leaning in to flick your arm. “Does that not feel real to you?”
“I don’t know, okay? Just—I need time to think. About everything.”
You don’t say it, but it lingers in the air: I need time to think about you.
You put your phone down, indicating to the boy that you’re done talking, before returning to your job. The day goes by fast when you’re contemplating if you’re actually being haunted by the ghost of your best friend or not.
Before you know it, you’re heading home. When you get through the door of the apartment, Dick is nowhere to be found. He must still be at work, you think.
You kick off your shoes and set your bag on the counter before throwing yourself on your bed. You lay down for only a minute before a familiar cologne fills your scent. One you haven’t smelled in a long time.
You don’t need to open your eyes to know that Wally is back. “What are you doing here?”
“I was hoping I could catch you changing,” you can hear the grin in his voice.
You sit up, staring at him with wide eyes. “Wait—if you’ve been here this whole time then…?”
“Yeah,” he laughs, rubbing the back of his neck. “But I didn’t! I mean, I thought about it but…it feels wrong.”
“More wrong than confessing your love to me and then dying?”
Both of you freeze after that, and your hand flies up to your mouth as if you can force the words back in there.
“I—y/n…you know that if I had a choice, I would have come back to you. Right?”
You nod, “I know. It’s fine.”
“It’s not fine,” he places a hand over yours. “I wanted to come back to you. Even though you didn’t say it back, I just thought—”
“You didn’t give me a chance to say it back! You dumped all that on me and then you ran away and left, Wally! You didn’t give me the chance!”
Your outburst surprises both of you. Wally isn’t sure what to do—if he should apologize or be angry or both or neither. So he says nothing.
“I-I think you should go, Wally. You’re only doing harm by being here. You’re dead and I need to move on and I never will if you’re just here haunting me.”
You expect him to argue or to make a joke, but the boy doesn’t do any of that. He gives you a lazy, one handed salute, like the kind he would give before speeding away as kids.
And then he disappears.
You feel sad and angry all at the same time. You know it’s not fair to Wally to lash out at him like that, but how is it fair for him to open up old wounds? For him to haunt you?
When Dick gets home, he’s surprised to see you dressed in your old costume. It’s been so long since you put it on, you look almost strange to him.
“Uh, y/n?” He asks, “not that I’m against this but, what’s up with the costume?”
“I was thinking I could go out on patrol with you tonight,” you explain. “It’s been a while. I need to blow off steam.”
“Okay, let me get changed.”
That’s good enough for you, so you settle in at the counter and wait for Nightwing to suit up. He comes out a few minutes later, clad in the black and blue Nightwing suit.
He looks at you seriously through his domino mask. “Are you sure you want to do this?”
“If I don’t get out, I’ll go stir crazy.”
“Okay, okay,” he raises his hands in surrender. “But don’t push yourself, okay? And I’ll be there the whole time.”
“Alright, dad,” you roll your eyes. “Let’s go.”
—
Patrol goes fine. It’s just the usual robberies and gang violence, nothing that you and Nightwing can’t handle. Of course, that’s until you hear there’s a bank robbery over the scanner.
The two of you are about to take off and head towards the bank when you hear the radio go off again. This time, it’s a jewellery store being robbed.
“Go!” You say to Nightwing, “you get the bank, I can handle the store.”
He seems content with that answer, grappling to the nearest rooftop and heading off towards the bank. You turn and head towards the jewellery store, hoping it’s enough to take your mind off of Wally.
You get to the store just in time to stop the robbers from shooting the owner. You knock the gun out of one of their hands, turning to fight the other one. There’s five total, maybe six, but your vision is tunnelling and all you can focus on is the adrenaline pumping through your veins and your need for a distraction.
You make your way through three of them, and just as you turn to fight the fourth, you hear someone yell from behind you.
“Y/n, look out!”
You knock out the fourth and turn around, just in time to see Wally West pass through you and punch the man in the face. He hits him hard enough to send him falling to the floor.
You stare at Wally in shock. “You—you hit him!”
“Are you okay?” He’s breathing hard, chest rising and falling rapidly.
“You saved me…” You mutter. “How did you do that?”
“I-I don’t know,” he admits, placing his hands on your shoulders. “I just didn’t want you to get hurt and then I passed through you and—”
“Dick!” You exclaim, realising you haven’t heard anything from him in a while, and that he still hasn’t returned to you. “Somethings wrong, Wal. We—I gotta go!”
Wally goes to protest, but you’re already running away. Not only are you running away, you’re running at the speed of light, yellow lightning crackling from your ankles. You don’t realize it, too focused on getting to Dick.
You arrive at the bank to see a bunch of lackeys passed out on the floor. Nightwing is leaning on a counter, holding his hands over a bullet hole in his side.
“Hey!” You cry out, skidding to a stop next to him. The bank smells gross, like gunpowder and..burning rubber? “Are you okay? Did you get them all?”
He clenched his jaw. “All but one. He headed North, there’s no way we’ll catch him. He’s probably out of town by now.”
“No, he’s not going to get away with this. We’re going to find him.”
And before Dick can ask, you’re tearing away from the bank, lightning in your wake. His jaw falls open at the sight. In the dark, with the speed you’re going and the lightning coming out, you almost look like Wally…
You run as fast as you can, keeping your eyes peeled for the man driving the truck of jewels. You catch up to him in no time, throwing your body weight against the truck fast enough to tip it over.
Your veins are electrified, pure lightning in your system, better than adrenaline ever could be. You rip the man out of the truck and toss him onto the street. It only takes one hit for you to knock him out, and only a few more seconds to tie him up.
It’s then that you realize what just happened, how fast you were going. You look down to see the soles of your shoes on fire, the thighs of your costume torn open from the fabric chafing so fast.
Something about the ruined shoes and the torn fabric makes you think of Wally, and the thought of the ghost in the bank saving your life only makes you want to run even more. Is this how he felt everytime he ran? It’s exhilarating, it only makes you want more.
You keep running, running straight up the side of a building before stopping in your tracks on the roof. How did this even happen? You look around, half expecting to see Wally there, but he’s not.
Your legs quiver, threatening to collapse beneath you. Your feet ache from all of the running and your shoes have practically disintegrated into nothing. You know you’re done for the night, your body at its absolute limit.
Your knees buckle, but before you can hit the ground, there’s a streak of yellow and suddenly Wally is holding you up against his chest.
“I—what’s going on?” You ask.
Wally holds you up with one arm, staring at his other hand. He shakes it, going fast enough to make it seem as though his hand is vibrating.
“I don’t know,” he admits. “I—something’s changed. I can feel it.”
You hear the unmistakable sound of a grappling hook before Nightwing is landing on the roof. “Holy shit, y/n. How were you going so fast? For a second there, I thought it was—Wally?”
His face pales at the sight of the redhead, clad in his Kid Flash suit, holding you up against his body. There’s no way he’s here now, alive and well, right in front of his eyes.
“You…you can see him?”
Dick is running across the roof in an instant, feet pushing him closer to his best friend. He jumps on both of you, arms wrapping around you both. “Wally,” he sobs into his shoulder. “How—how are you here?”
There’s another flash of lightning—red lightning—and suddenly The Flash is standing next to you guys. “I can answer that.”
Wally grins insanely wide, making sure you’re steady against Dick before jumping to hug his former mentor.
“How did you know I was here?” He asks.
Barry smiles, “I could feel it. In the speedforce. There was a huge amount of energy released and then for the first time in a year, I could feel you.”
“But how did that happen?” Dick interjects, before adding, “not that we’re not happy to see you.”
Wally goes back to hugging you, wiping off the tears that have slipped from your eyes and kissing the top of your forehead. “I think y/n here somehow borrowed my speed and-and opened a portal into the speedforce.”
“I brought you back?” Your voice is so quiet it’s barely a whisper.
“You brought me back!” He’s beaming at you.
He wraps his arms around your waist, spinning you in a circle. He sets you down on the ground, only to tip your head back and plant a kiss to your lips. It’s intense, passionate, full of the longing he’s felt for you since you were kids.
You wrap your arms around his shoulders, using him to keep yourself up. His body is so warm and hard under your touch, so familiar to you. You draw him closer, not even caring if Dick and Barry are standing there staring at you.
When he finally pulls away, he flashes you the biggest smile in the world. “You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for that.”
“So,” Dick awkwardly says, “why don’t we take this back to our place?”
Wally grabs your hand in his, squeezing it tightly. “I think that’s a really good idea.”

I would like to order a Woozi sickfic.Maybe there was a virus in the company and as he usually stays late working he got infected because of his low defenses and when he comes home he feels sick but he ignores it and the next day when he gets up he has a fever and an upset stomach but he decides to hide it during the day. But as the day progresses he feels worse and dehydrated because of how much he has vomited so he ends up asking one of the boys for help and they take care of him and take good care of him.
Hiiii! Here's the headcannon you asked for! I'm not sure whether it's good or not, but I did my best! Happy reading, I hope the person who asked this will like it! Love y'all!
Summary: Woozi always works until late at night at his studio at the company. One night, he feels sick while getting back home. He doesn't think much of it and just tries to sleep it off. The next morning, it's even worse, but he tries to hide it until he can't anymore.
word count: 1,72k
content warnings: sickness, obviously, vomiting, fever, dehydration, kinda delirious/half-conscious, needles/IV
Sickie: Woozi
Caretaker: All the other members, especially Mingyu
Jihoon had been staying late basically every single day since the beginning of this week. He had to. If he didn't who would? And he had a lot of work to do, with the upcoming album release coming up at the end of the month. He had no time to waste chilling or sleeping.
He knew he was pushing himself too hard and that he would end up collapsing, but he didn't care. Not when the group's career could be at jeopardy if he decided to be lazy. He couldn't afford to fall back on his work right now, and he kept working until his eyes were drooping.
When he noticed that, he got up and gathered his things, intending to go back home, deciding that it was enough. He raised his head, glancing at the clock. It was 3 A.M.
He was lucky that Seungcheol had fallen asleep as soon as he got back to the dorms, too tired to even keep his eyes open for five more minutes. He hadn't been sleeping a lot lately, too busy taking care of Seungkwan and his recurring nightmares. Otherwise he would've gotten scolded, as every single time Seungcheol saw him coming back so late at night.
He let out a sigh and walked back to the dorm, putting on his jacket. As he was walking back to the dorm, the only place he would be able to sleep peacefully and get some well-deserved rest, he started feeling uneasy. His stomach was hurting him a bit and he felt a bit sick.
He decided to ignore it. There was no way he'd wake up Seungcheol neither Soonyoung just because he had an upset stomach. Maybe sleeping it off would work and tomorrow would be better?
He just went to bed, careful not to wake Soonyoung up. The dancer was fast asleep and waking him up was really the last thing he wanted. Soonyoung wasn't sleeping a lot either, and although it had always been like that since predebut, Jihoon still didn't want to disturb his sleep. He'd rather throw up all night alone in the bathroom than wake up any of the asleep members.
He laid down in bed, looking at the ceiling, struggling to fall asleep. The pain in his stomach grew stronger. "I'll be fine.. I'll be just fine.. no need to worry them.." He whispered. Soonyoung was too deeply asleep to hear him. And Jihoon ended up falling asleep too. He was too exhausted to even think he'd be able to stay awake for much longer anyway. He hugged tightly the plushie Seungkwan gifted him for his birthday last year, and fell into a deep slumber.
A few hours passed before it was time to get up. When the alarm of his phone rang, Jihoon couldn't help but let out a small whimper. His head was killing him after hearing that sound first thing in the morning. And as if it wasn't enough, his stomach was feeling worse than last night, if it was even possible.
He still got up and acted fine when seeing the other members, despite feeling his stomach churning. Seokmin and Mingyu tried to get him to eat something, but Jihoon just said he wasn't hungry and got ready for work. They had vocal practice in the morning, dance practice in the afternoon, it should be fine, right? He would feel better already.
No. No he didn't feel better. If anything, it got worse.
He still tried to hide it and focus on his work throughout the day, but some of the members were already starting to understand that something was wrong with him. Seungcheol came to check on him, but Jihoon still acted as if everything was fine.
Ten minutes later, he was in the bathroom, throwing up his guts out.
He went back to the others, still acting as if everything was fine.
As they practiced the choreography Soonyoung was teaching them, Jihoon felt even worse and went to the bathroom again. He threw up again, and more than once, at that.
He felt feverish and couldn't even drink. This time, he knew he couldn't hide that anymore. He had to tell them. He had to call for someone. But when he tried to get up, he was too weak to do so. He fumbled in his pockets for a moment, looking for his phone, finding it upon seconds.
But another wave of nausea hit him as he was going to dial Seungcheol's number. He threw up again, and after five other excruciating minutes of throwing up, he could finally call for help.
Seungcheol answered at the first ring.
" 'Hoon? Where are you? Are you alright?"
Given the tone of his voice, he was obviously worried. Very worried. Jihoon answered as best as he could.
"I.. Hyung.. I think I'm sick.. I'm not feeling good.."
"Where are you? I'll get you back home okay?"
"Y..yeah.. I'm.. in the bathroom.."
"I'm coming right away, I'll be with Mingyu, we're getting you back home."
The leader addressed the other members.
"Guys, can someone get Jihoon's belongings and call a doctor to come at the dorm. Tell them we'll be there in around... maybe half an hour? If Hoon doesn't get any worse?"
There was some approving responses from everyone, but Jihoon could barely hear them. He felt more and more tired, that was most likely because of the fever, Jihoon knew it was anything but a good sign. He heard the other members' voices but couldn't understand what they were saying.
Mingyu and Seungcheol both ran to the bathroom, arriving soon at Jihoon's side. Mingyu quickly assessed the situation.
"Uh-oh.. that's not good.. We need to lower his body temperature as soon as we can before he gets delirious or even worse, starts having fever-induced seizures. Believe me, you don't want to have to deal with that shit."
Seungcheol nodded, and held Jihoon's body bridal style, getting him to the van. The motion of the car made Jihoon's sickness even worse and they had to pull over twice so he could throw up again. But after what felt like an eternity, they were back home.
Mingyu carefully laid Jihoon in his bed, and checked on him again. He looked dazed and mumbled incoherently when Mingyu was asking him questions, trying to assess how conscious he actually was.
The answer was that he was out of it. His eyes were open, but he paid no attention to what was happening around him. He didn't mind the cold and wet towels put on his neck and on his forehead. He didn't pay attention to Mingyu shaking his shoulders and call his name. He was there, but barely.
The other members were acting swiftly to take care of Jihoon, preparing soup, water, medications, pillows, plushies. Seungcheol had stayed there, sitting down at Jihoon's bedside, a bucket on the ready in case JIhoon was to throw up again.
He didn't. But he was still very feverish. And that got Seungcheol worried to death. He ended up getting up, pacing nervously in the room. Jeonghan and Seokmin even had to get him out of the room, because he was too stressed out.
They didn't want Jihoon to get anxious or anguished on top of being sick. He was already badly sick, that was enough.
The doctor soon arrived, and just as the members, he looked alarmed by Jihoon's condition.
"We really need to lower his body temperature before he ends up having a seizure. And he needs fluids too, and nutrients."
"He can't eat though", Joshua said in a worried voice. "And even the medications would not stay down."
"We'll have to insert an IV line then. If we don't that might endanger him. But you don't have to worry, we can do it here and he will for sure get better as soon as he receives medication and the appropriate care. His condition doesn't require hospitalization. However, I want that guy at full rest for at least a week. He'll need a lot of rest to recover properly. And if he doesn't get better within the next few days, I want him to get checked properly." The doctor said, looking at them with a gentle but firm stare.
Joshua nodded, reassured by the doctor's words. Seungkwan looked horrified to be told that his hyung would need a goddamn needle into his arms, but the other members reassured him that it wasn't that much of a big deal.
Jihoon would be okay. They all were sure of it. After the doctor administered the necessary care, he left, and all the members relayed at Jihoon's bedside. As the hours ticked by, Jihoon got more lucid, he wasn't that out of it anymore. And that soothed a bit Mingyu who, among the members, was by far the most worried.
He had nearly panicked when the doctor said that Jihoon needed an IV, and Wonwoo had to explain to him, just as Joshua had done for Seungkwan, that it wasn't a big deal and that Jihoon would be just fine.
The first night was the hardest one. At first, Jihoon kept throwing up. But when the medications kicked in, it stopped and soon enough, Jihoon could eat a bit of food. Nothing much, but better than nothing.
Mingyu stayed the whole night with Jihoon, refusing to leave his side, too worried. But he hadn't anything to worry about. Not anymore.
The next day, Jihoon started to get better, though he needed a lot of rest. But he didn't have anything to worry about. His friends, no, his family was by his side to help him through it.
Mingyu was cooking for him, Wonwoo and Jeonghan most of the time keeping silent vigil by his side, the BooSeokSoon trio was usually coming to help him not get bored, and he could get Seokmin's hugs as much as he wanted. He usually didn't like physical touch, but when he was sick, he was basically asking hugs from his brothers. And Seokmin was more than happy to give him.
Little by little, he got better, and as he got better, his bond with his fellow members strenghtened even more than it already was. They would be able to return soon, and in good shape, to their not-so-peaceful but happiness-filled life.

My Jade Heart
Pairing: Namor x Female Reader
Genre: Romance, Comfort, Fluff
Summary: You saved Namor’s life but ended up with severe wounds. You are now in the medical bay of Wakanda in recovery. You haven’t seen Namor but can only hope he is alright. Good thing the King of Talokan had a feeling you would be worried about him and decided to pay you a visit.
You lay there on the bed with the IV in your arm. The doctor told you that you would be fine thanks to Wakandan technology. You suffered from broken ribs and a large wound on your right side. You had a few bandages on your cheeks and head from the cuts. The surgeon had stitched your wound and you were on strict orders to not move for at least two weeks until therapy would come in and work with you.
You were worried sick about Namor the whole time. You knew he was fine for the most part but how fine was he? Did he get any injuries? Princess Shuri kept telling you to stop worrying and that she’d sent a message to him. But you were getting restless. Okoye had to threaten to knock you out once.
You now sighed as you sat up on the bed and scrolled through the iPad. You were catching up on emails, texts, news, etc. Whatever you can do to keep your mind off of the king. You closed the iPad after you had enough and closed your eyes to sleep. A gentle touch to your face awoke you from your nap.
Your eyes opened to meet the gaze of the king. You let out a soft gasp and smiled softly. “Namor...”
The great king smiled at you softly and gently cupped your cheek, “Mi salvador (My savior).”
You blushed at his touch and felt his thumb gently stroke over the bandages. “I’m glad you’re okay.” You smiled.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t come sooner. I was tending to my people.” Namor leaves your side and pulls up a chair to sit by your bedside.
“It’s okay, as long as you’re okay.” You nod.
Namor gently set his spear against the wall and moved his hands to hold your bandaged ones. He pressed kisses to your covered knuckles. You blushed more at how tender he was being with you. The two of you had unspoken feelings before, lingering looks and gentle touches. And now, well now, nothing was holding you two back.
You felt a fire stir in your stomach and leaned forward to press a kiss to his cheek. Namor turned his head to look at you and leaned forward to kiss your lips softly. You moved your hands from his and wrapped your arms around his neck. Namor rested his hands gently on your hips as he kissed you passionately. You moaned softly as you deepened the kiss.
Namor let out a purr and gently laid your back against the bed. You winced in pain and Namor pulled back immediately. “My apologizes, mi yakunaj.” Namor whispered against your lips and pressed a few kisses along your jawline. Namor pulled back and reached for something in his pocket. You lay there, waiting for him, not having the energy to sit back up.
Namor leaned back over on you and gently brought over a necklace. He gently put it over your head and around your neck. You picked up the pendant and gasped at the beauty of it. “A jade heart.” You smiled.
Namor smiled back and kissed your brow. “Yes, my love, a jade heart for my jade heart.”
You set the pendant down and cupped Namor’s face. You met his gaze and smiled at how he looked at you with so much love. You leaned forward and kissed him passionately. Namor pulled back gently, “Not too much, my love, you need to rest.” You nodded and nuzzled your head on the pillow.
Namor stroked your hair back and his other hand held yours. Namor rested his forehead against yours and hummed a soft tune that lulled you to sleep.

4n4 rant
Am I the only one who isn't triggered by thinspo anymore?? I feel like whevener I see a person who looks at least a little healthy I just immedietly feel thrown off bc I'm doing this to be sick. Like so physically sick I look like I'm on the brink of death. So seeing those 170cm 42-50kg girls with flat stomachs, lean arms and toned legs who inject ozempic/wegovy 3 times a day and chug down ginger shots/spinach smoothies just doesn't hit now that I keep getting closer and closer to my LW (not that there's anything wrong with liking that kind of thinspo, just not personally my thing). Maybe it's just the extremist in me but seeing someone who's body checking with an IV in their right arm in the hospital bathroom because they got hospitalized at BMI 12, THATS WHAT I NEED. And I know how odd this sounds because if you've been following me for a while you probably know just how much I hated the 3 times I was hospitalized, but as much as I wanted to die during those weeks, I also felt so validated, like "yes I'm finally sick enough to get well again" (which lead to a shitty "recovery" phase during which I gained 4kg in 2 weeks). But anyway if anyone else feels this way pls tell me, I just feel so excluded in the community full of cis girls who want to be "skinny legends" and look live they've been ripped out of a fashion magazine, when I just want to look like a corpse with no fat on his body, no muscle, pale skin, frail bones, and no defining secondary sex characteristics (the last part def has to do with gender dysphoria, but eh, I'll cope, hopefully if I lose enough weight I'll eventually lose my chest)
Tldr: nooo thinspo not ill enough :((, need to see deathly sick BMI 12 psych patients to feel motivated D:<

Surgery | F.B.
Summary: Finn and Y/N's daughter, Grace, has surgery. The Demon is, well, the Demon.
Finn Balor Masterlist
Taglist: @magicalbuttertarts @theworldofotps @smallestsnarkestgirl @mrsarcherofinfamy @new-zealand-chic
"Mommy, I want to go back to sleep," Grace whined as she rested her head on her mother's shoulder. Hot, frustrated tears rolled down her small cheeks. A stuffed animal clutched in her arms.
"I know, baby, and you will soon don't worry," Y/N sighed and grabbed the car keys off the table. "I'm going to put her in the car so she gets some sleep. Do you need me for anything?"
"No, I will take it from here and talk to the Demon. I will meet you down there in a few minutes," Finn answered. Y/N kissed him and walked out the door.
The Demon crawled out of his room in a pissy mood. It was only five o' clock in the morning. Grace and her parents loved to sleep in. There was no reason for such commotion. "What's a Demon gotta do to get some sleep around here?"
"Gracie's surgery is today, remember?" Finn reminded him. He and Y/N had been talking to him about it for weeks. The Demon started to blow them off about the surgery.
The Demon smiled. "Removing the little cretin's voice box at last? Is Y/N next? I would like to attend Y/N's surgery personally to assist as needed,"
"Grace's tonsils are being removed," Finn corrected.
"Close enough. One little slip, and the house will almost be quiet again," the Demon shrugged. A new idea popped into his head. "Did you check with the factory that Grace came from? Is she under warranty?"
"We are going to stay overnight at the hospital with her and be back tomorrow. Will you be okay by yourself?" Finn asked. He didn't have the time or the head space to correct the Demon. Right now, he needed to be there for Grace and Y/N.
"I'm a Demon. I can control vast domains in hell. I can certainly control a three bedroom apartment by myself," he scoffed.
The next afternoon, the front door unlocked. The Demon slowly crawled out of his room to greet them. Y/N walked in with the overnight bags and medications. Finn walked in with Grace in his arms. The Demon frowned at the sight of her.
He had never seen her look so weak. She had been sick before, but never like this. His stomach dropped. "Is she gonna be o-... what's wrong with it?"
"She needs time to recover, Demon. She just had surgery," Finn explained.
"Humans really are the weaker species," he sighed loudly. The Demon rolled his eyes yet couldn't get Grace's poor state out of his mind.
The father carried his daughter into her room. He tucked her in bed and kissed her forehead. The Demon followed in behind them. Finn told her to ring the bell if she needed anything. He left Grace with the Demon.
"Hi Demon," she spoke softly. Her voice was raspy. The small child was pale. She appeared like an angel to Demon. "I missed you,"
The Demon frowned when he saw a bruise from where they placed the IV in her arm. His bottom lip quivered. He had to make her feel better. "Do you want to play? We can do one of your favorites,"
Grace shook her head. Her tiny eyes were half closed. The little girl was going to fall asleep in no time. The Demon pressed on.
"We could play horse. I'll let you use my tendrils as reins this time. We can play doctor, or we can have a tea party with your dolls," he pleaded.
Before Grace could answer, she fell asleep. Her father walked in to check on her. Finn felt bad for the Demon.
"Come on, Demon. She needs her sleep. You two will be playing again in no time," Finn told him.
The Demon scowled at him. "I know that. I was just checking if this one had a serial number so we can return it if it breaks again,"
The Demon walked towards Finn. He turned to give once last pleading look at his sleeping friend before exiting the room.

Got Your Number
Summary: You’re Steve Harrington’s older sister and after a rough and tumultuous breakup, you’re back in Hawkins, Indiana. 🌶️
Pairing: harrington!reader x Eddie Munson
Author’s notes: yooooo thank you for sticking it out with me. I’ve been very sick for the last few weeks and have had no energy to do anything except exist so here’s a nice little chapter for you all!!!!
Warnings: 18+ (Minors DNI!!), language, drinking, weed, mentions of past abusive relationship, mention of body image issues, SMUT, fluff and lmk if I ever leave anything out!!
Word count: 7K+
IV.
Friday morning came too soon for your liking. Eddie was at work at the music store and your mom had begged you again to come help decorate. Charlie’s mom was busy on the other end of the banquet room as you were making the flower arrangements for the centerpieces.
“Need help?” Steve’s voice caught you off guard.
“No, just keep her away from me.” You motioned with your head towards your ex-future mother in law. “She’s been glaring at me since I got here.”
“Might have a bigger problem than her here soon. He’s here early.” Your stomach sank as Steve told you what you were dreading the most.
You heard a heavy door open and shut, and in walked Charlie… and Grace. Perfect. Maybe they could occupy each other. “I’m not leaving your side.” Steve assured you as he fiddled with some random flowers nervously.
“Fuck them.” You muttered underneath your breath. You looked up and checked out Charlie- he looked better than the last time you’d seen him. Of course, the last time you’d seen him he was shit faced drunk, high off cocaine, and at his lowest, so anything would look better than that. His jeans seemed to fit him better and- you shook your head, what the fuck were you doing staring at him?
“You okay?” Steve seemed to notice your staring as he nudged you with his shoulder.
“Yeah, fine. Just… weird.”
“I get it. First time I saw Nancy with Jonathan after was… uncomfortable.” You felt embarrassed for looking at him, someone who’d been so wrong to you in every way possible when you had someone so much better now. “Eddie said he’s coming by at 3, just so you know.”
You looked at the clock and it was almost lunch time.
“I’m gonna head out and grab lunch, you wanna come with me?” You brushed the leaf clippings that were sticking to your sweaty palms against your jeans and put the scissors down on the table.
“Nah, I’ll stick around here if you’ll bring me something back.” Steve handed you some cash and you took it and left.
Surprising Eddie at work had not been on your list of things to do since Steve had told you he was coming around 3, but it sounded much better than lunch by yourself and you wanted to waste as much time out as possible.
“Hey baby!” Eddie said, dropping the pile of records he was holding carefully onto the table beside him. “What are you doing here?”
“Hmmm, didn’t know if you could take a lunch with me. I’m all tuckered out from making floral arrangements for the high society members of Hawkins.” You joked as wrapped your arms around him and pecked him on the lips, not caring about the few customers in the shop.
“You do smell like flowers.” He took a big whiff of your hair as he kissed your head and hugged you back.
“And you smell like Eddie.” You nuzzled into his chest, breathing in his scent of weed, cigarettes, and just… him.
“Is that good or bad?” He asked you, smiling as he looked down.
“It’s good. Really good.” You watched as his smile widened and reached the crinkles in his eyes.
“Let me go tell Jeff I’m taking lunch for once, the van is out back. I’ll drive us.” You gave him a thumbs up and exited the store, immediately finding his car. “So what’s up?” He asked as he hopped into the drivers seat, “why are you really here? Couldn’t resist my looks, missed me so much?” He winked as he backed out of the parking spot.
“I mean all of that, but I also just wanted to get out of that banquet hall. Charlie and Grace showed up. I know their moms are all on the committee with my mom too, so I left Steve there, and I wanted to waste as much time as I could.”
Eddie gasped and clutched his chest, “Just waste some time with me?!”
“No, that’s not what I-”
“Baby, I know you didn’t mean that.” Your stomach flipped at the nickname again. “I’m sorry he’s there. Did he speak to you? Do I need to go… what did Grace say? Snap his bones?”
“Remember, we’re supposed to be the well behaved ones.” You eyed him and watched his grip tighten on the wheel. “But no, as soon as they got there I left. It should be easier to avoid them tonight with more people there, and we can leave early too.”
Eddie nodded quietly to himself as his music played in the background. The song ended and he turned it down before he started to talk, “I just can’t believe that piece of shit could treat you so bad and have the fucking nerve to come to this stupid ass benefit, sorry, all the way from goddamn Chicago? After you got the cops involved there? As if that meant nothing. He’s just gonna prance around Hawkins untouched. I really hope he doesn’t cross me because I don’t know that I can trust myself.”
“Then you can’t come tonight, Eddie.” You said, putting your hand on his knee. He looked down at it, then back at the road.
“So you really don’t want to be seen with me, do you?”
“No, I-“
“No. I’ll stay home. You go have fun with all your friends.” You two pulled up at the restaurant to eat lunch, but you both sat there not moving, noticing the tense air between you two at Eddie’s quick mood change. “All your stupid old rich little high school friends you ‘hated.’ Dating me is probably part of a-”
You interrupted him, “Eddie Munson. Shut up. I want to be seen with you. I want you to go with me- you just cannot get into a fight at this dumb benefit, okay? That’s all I’m asking. No matter who’s there.”
“Sorry.” He looked like a hurt puppy apologizing to you. “I’m just nervous about tonight.”
“Steve and I set up the seating chart for the tables. It’s you, me, Robin, him, Hopper, Joyce, Nancy and Jonathan at ours. We’re gonna be fine. They’re on the opposite side of the hall and Hopper is seated to where he can keep his eyes on him at all times, okay?”
Eddie swallowed and nodded, “Can you stay with me the rest of the day? I don’t want you going back there without me.”
“I told Steve that I’d bring him lunch. We can do that together and then I’ll tell them I have to go home?” Your mom had to understand the seriousness of the situation.
Lunch went by quick, you ended up getting Eddie to lighten up and crack a few jokes eventually, and then you boxed up some pizza to take back to Steve. You both walked into the banquet hall together, Eddie clutching your hand as soon as you saw Charlie’s car was still there.
“Hey, here’s your pizza. Where’s mom?” You asked after quickly finding your brother.
“Hallway.” He said through a bite of pizza. Eddie stayed back to talk to Steve, spotting Charlie busy in the corner helping his mom and Grace with something.
“Hey mom. I’m really not comfortable being here with so few people and Charlie. Is it okay if I go home? I brought some leftover pizza if you need some food, Steve’s got it.”
You could see the judgement in her eyes over your lunch choice and she just smiled, “That’s fine. You’ve done enough. The flower arrangements look beautiful.” You smiled sweetly at her, then made your way back to the big room. You picked up your pace at the sound of yelling voices- all three you recognized. Except it was Eddie yelling your brother’s name.
Steve was on top of Charlie and Eddie was pulling him off as you walked in the door. Grace stood in horror as Charlie’s mom rushed up behind them.
“Maybe if your son would keep his mouth shut he wouldn’t get a broken nose!” Steve yelled as Eddie backed him away from Charlie who was clutching his bloody face.
“Maybe if your sister wasn’t the town whore with the freak then-”
“Town whore, Charlie? You sure that’s not Grace that you’re with?” You went to go lunge at Charlie, but felt two hands pulling you back. It was both your brother and Eddie. “What, he gets to punch him, but I can’t? He sure used to punch me.”
Charlie’s mom gasped behind him, “Don’t you dare spread lies about my son!”
“Lies? I’m so sorry. What verbiage would you prefer I use for how he hit me in Chicago? Would you like the copy of the police reports, or the pictures I had to take? Which ones would suit you better, because I can get both of them easily for you.” By now your mom had made it into the hall and was standing with her arms crossed.
“What did I-”
“It was him!” All 3 of you pointed to Charlie and backed away. Charlie’s mom and your mom stood speechless staring at one another as if they were waiting for the other to speak up.
“He called her-” Steve started but Eddie interrupted him.
“He doesn’t need to be here, or be around her. He’s not safe, and it’s not fair that he’s here.” Eddie stood firm, stepping in front of you and standing up to your mom.
“Not safe?” Charlie spoke up through his bloodied mouth and nose, “You’re one to talk, you fucking murderer.”
You watched in slow motion as Eddie lunged at Charlie, you saw Steve try to pull him back but Eddie pushed him away. Eddie grabbed Charlie by the collar of his shirt and spit in his face.
“You’re really original for that one, man. What else you gonna call me? The freak? Get the fuck out of here and take your girl with you.” He shoved him backwards with force and you watched as Charlie stumbled away, with Grace and his mom by his side.
Eddie huffed as he walked the opposite way to the doors leading to outside and you followed him, hearing Steve and your mom arguing already.
“Hey, you didn’t have to do all that.”
“What, defend you? Yes, I did.”
“You could’ve gotten in a lot of trouble.”
“I want you to put a restraining order against him here in Hawkins so he can’t come near you.” Eddie lit a cigarette and took a huge hit off of it. “Hopper will take care of it. I don’t know how you put up with his bullshit for so long.”
“Me neither but I didn’t really have a choice, Eddie.” You kicked at a rock, watching it skip down the walkway.
“Uh, yeah you did. You could’ve fucking left.”
“It’s not that easy.” You shook your head at his lack of understanding.
“Sure was easy for you to leave me behind. And then leave town to go to Chicago.” He had you there. You had abandoned him once, and completely skipped town without missing a beat once you graduated high school. You watched as he continued to smoke his cigarette down to the filter, stubbing it out against the brick wall.
“Take me home.” You said, crossing your arms.
“No way am I letting you out of my sight.” He shook his head at you, his curls loosely flying awry.
“Eddie Munson, I want to go home. I’m not going tonight.”
“No, you’re coming with me and we’ll get ready at my house. Your dress is there.”
“I’m not going. I’ll go get Steve to take me home, then.” You were fuming as you turned on your feet and marched back into the building. Eddie had no idea what you’d been through- despite you telling him everything you could already, he clearly still had no idea how scary Charlie could be and why you couldn’t “just leave” him. You didn’t want to go tonight- Charlie attending or not, you were done with the whole fucking benefit. You were remembering why it was so easy to leave Hawkins in the first place.
Steve and your mom were going at it in the banquet hall- Steve’s hip was cocked to the side and he was running his hand through his hair constantly as he talked with his other hand- it was something you both did when you were deep in a conversation or argument.
“Can you take me home?” You interrupted them, not caring what your mom had to say.
“Gladly, let’s go.” Steve whipped his keys from his pocket as you both stormed out. Eddie tried stopping you on the way to your brother's car.
“Hey, where are you taking her?”
“Home. We’re both going home.” Steve answered for you as you tried to hold back angry tears.
“Oh, so you’re really not going tonight?”
“No man, leave her alone. It’s been a bad enough day as it is, just leave it be.” Steve held his hand up at Eddie’s chest as he tried to get closer to you. You turned and got in the passenger seat, focusing on the seatbelt as Steve rounded the car to get in the driver's seat. You looked up just in time to see Eddie getting in his van and speeding off almost as soon as his door slammed shut.
“Sorry.” You said, unsure of what you were sorry for. But you felt like it was all your fault. Hot tears started streaming down your face, you were quick to wipe them before they could fall any further.
“Nothing to be sorry about. He’s gotta simmer down on his own, and Charlie is a piece of shit. You should probably get a restraining order against him though in Hawkins, that was enough today to warrant one I’d say.”
“Yeah, Eddie said the same thing.” You sniffed, and felt Steve’s hand on your arm.
“He’ll be fine. Eddie’s been through a lot, we all have, and he doesn’t know how to manage his anger sometimes. It’s best if he just keeps to himself. I wouldn’t want him to say anything to you he’d regret later.” You silently nodded and wiped more tears away on the ride home, looking out the window to avoid looking at your brother.
A few hours went by and your mom came home to get ready for the event. She found you laid in your bed, you’d been crying on and off all day waiting for Eddie to at least maybe call, but after the second hour you’d given up on that.
“You don’t look very ready to go tonight.”
“I’m not going.”
“Yes you are.” She stood firm in your doorway, looking the most dressed up you’d seen her in a while.
“No, I’m not. I’m a grown woman who can make my own decisions.”
“Then I’ll have to tell your date who’s waiting on you downstairs that you’re standing him up.” You lifted your head up to get a better look at your mom- she had your dress in her hands and was offering it to you. “He got here a little bit ago with Robin. Jim took care of Charlie, and you have 20 minutes to get yourself together.” You nodded at her and she placed the dress on your bed. You quietly thanked her and as she walked out of the room.
You were quick to wash your face, it was puffy from crying but you were able to fix it up with some cold water, and hide the redness with some makeup.
“Hey Robin! Can you come help me zip my dress?” You poked your head out of your room as you held your dress up on your body and waited. You heard footsteps coming up the stairs and turned around to show your back to her, but the hands that grabbed at your zipper weren’t Robin’s. They were Eddie’s, you could feel the warmth of his rings against your back, and the tremble his hands had as he nervously zipped the back of the dress up on you, pushing a few stray hairs out of the way.
You turned to face him, and he looked at you with sad, puppy dog eyes.
“I’m really sorry for earlier today.” His hands reached out to your shoulders as he ran his thumbs in a calming manner over your soft skin. “I didn't want to-”
“Yeah, Steve told me.” You crossed your arms and brushed his hands away from you, “Let’s go before we’re late.” You tried walking out of your room, but Eddie tugged you back in.
“Heyyy.” He tried smiling at you, and you didn’t have one to return to him. “I mean it. I got extremely jealous of seeing Charlie and I let the worst of me get to me. What he said about you pissed me off. I got really mad and I say stupid shit when I’m really mad sometimes, and didn’t want to say something to you that would hurt you, okay?” You nodded, and he put his thumb on your chin to make you look at him. “I wanna have fun with you tonight, as stupid as this thing is, alright?”
“Thanks for apologizing.” You leaned forward and pecked him on the lips, but that wasn’t enough for him.
Eddie pulled you close to him with his hands on either side of your face, and you wrapped your arms around your neck, pushing your body weight against his and backing him up towards your bedroom door, causing it to slam shut. He flipped you two around so your back was to the door, and he planted his hands beside you, pinning you against it.
“Thought you didn’t wanna be late, baby?” His voice was thick with lust, a slow drawl that you rarely heard coming from his lips. “Steve left with Robin and your parents a few minutes ago anyway, we got the house to ourselves now.” You let out a whimper at the way Eddie was staring you down. “You’re so easy, you know that?”
You blushed as you tucked a piece of hair behind your ear. “No I’m not.” You faked confidence as you raised an eyebrow at him.
“You practically just whined at me.” His thumb traced the outline of your jaw, “and you’re leaning into my touch. I can feel how badly you want me.” He leaned against you more, forcing his thigh between your legs and you moaned at the friction. You two lunged back at each other hungrily, messily kissing each other and grabbing at each other wherever you could. You caught your hips looking for some more friction and you felt the smirk forming on his face as you could also feel him growing harder in his pants.
“Told you that you were easy. Let’s go before we’re late.” He reached behind you, withdrew his leg, and twisted the door handle to leave your bedroom. “We can finish later tonight, yeah?” He placed a hot kiss below your earlobe, nipping at your neck, and you whined at the loss of contact.
The benefit was as boring as you imagined, but the free wine and beer were enough to keep all of you there for a few hours. Jonathan and Nancy had a stomach bug so they were missing from your table.
Your mom showed you off to some of her friends, and you had to introduce Eddie yourself to them- you knew most of them knew who he was, but you were proud of him and wanted to make sure they knew you two were there together. After you and Robin returned from a bathroom break full of drunk giggles, you sat down in the seat beside Eddie.
“Hi.” You looked at him with a grin.
“Hi, my sweet girl.” He gazed back at you, matching your grin. He wasn’t drinking tonight, but you knew he’d been sneaking out to smoke some by the glaze in his eyes.
“Have I told you how handsome you look tonight?” You smoothed down a flyaway curl away from around his face and he blushed at your comment.
“You have, and you look beautiful tonight, my dear.” He leaned in to peck you on the lips.
“We gotta stay through my parents' speech, then we can leave.” You told him, this was always the part you hated the most because you and Steve always had to go stand on stage with them. When you were younger you used to always get fussed at on the way home for the way you “misbehaved” on stage, but it was always Steve who was the one poking you or pulling your hair making you two get into a cat fight.
You were shocked at how the night had stayed uneventful- Charlie’s mom kept to herself at her table with empty seats around her since her son and Grace were absent, but you didn’t miss the glances she was shooting at you constantly. Anytime she would, you would just scoot a little closer to Eddie and hold his hand, or peck him on the cheek. Sure, you were putting on a little bit of a show, but the wine was partly to blame for that- it turned you into way more of a flirt than you usually were.
You watched as your dad approached your table, motioning for you and Steve to get up to follow him.
Here we go, former Hawkins Queen.” He said in a sing-song voice and you rolled your eyes.
“After you, King Steve.” You joked back at him as you were both letting the laughter fly between the two of you.
Your mom started the speech off the same, welcoming everyone and thanking them for their generosity to the community especially after having to rebuild the town this year. You glanced around at all of the made up faces and fake smiles and found one of the only genuine ones in the room- Eddie’s. He was beaming at you with his chin resting on his hand, and he waved at you with a wiggle of his fingers- to which you waved right back. Steve elbowed you in the ribs and you dramatically said “Ow!”
“Sh!” Your dad spoke back at the two of you.
You pinched Steve’s arm, to which he hissed back. Neither of you were paying attention to your parents, but it was fun to act like kids again knowing that you were still rebelling against their wishes for your behavior.
“Bar right after this?” Steve leaned into you with his eyebrows raised, and you nodded quickly.
“Sounds like way more fun than being stuck here with all of these boring losers.” You said a little too loud, and your mom turned back to look at you with a scowl on her face. You quietly apologized and looked out to see Eddie, Robin, Joyce and Hopper all holding back laughter- they must’ve heard you over the microphone.
Five minutes later and your mom was done talking, and you and Steve raced down the stage stairs to get back to your table. Your parents were much more pretentious in the way they exited the stage, waving and stopping to talk to folks as they made their way back to their table.
“C’mon, we’re going out.” You grabbed Eddie’s arm and pulled him up out of his seat as you chugged the rest of your wine glass, and Steve and Robin followed you two out. Once the breeze of fresh air hit your face you felt better immediately. You hated the uncomfortable atmosphere of the benefit, and you couldn’t get out of there quick enough. Eddie led you three back to his van where you all piled in and drove to a different dive bar on the edge of Hawkins.
You four stood out like a sore thumb in your attire, despite both boys ditching their ties. Eddie had unbuttoned a few of his buttons on his shirt to reveal his necklaces, and passed his jacket on to you because the night had gotten rather chilly.
“You seem to have a bad habit of forgetting your jackets.” He commented as you sat down at a booth.
“You seem to not have a problem letting me always wear your jackets.” You winked as you tugged it tightly to your body. His heavy hand fell to your thigh where he gave it a squeeze, and let it rest there as the four of you picked up conversation about how boring tonight was.
“I’d rather it be boring than the alternative of what we were anticipating happening.” Steve spoke over his beer glass across the table from you.
“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Robin had switched to beer too, the sketchy bar not offering any wine. “But how great would it have been for Charlie to have gotten arrested tonight? In front of all of those people.”
“I don’t even want to talk about him. I’m having too much fun.” You fretted, and she apologized for bringing him up.
Eddie quickly changed the subject, “You guys coming to the show tomorrow night?”
Steve and Robin shook their heads, “No, we’re both on closing shift for being off tonight.” Steve answered for both of them and you didn’t miss the way Eddie’s face flashed disappointment before he donned a small smile saying it was okay.
You sat there looking at the three of them interacting, never thinking that you’d be here of all places a few years after graduation, with Eddie’s hand on your leg. You never thought your brother would be best friends with Robin Buckley, or even slightly friends with Eddie Munson- much less how close the two of them were. You wanted to hear more about their stories of the Upside Down, because whatever had happened had bonded them so deeply that even though their conversation was unrelated to it, you felt a little out of place listening in by the way they were all getting along so well.
You sipped your drink and got into your thoughts about tonight and how differently it could’ve gone, how different things would’ve been a year ago. You would’ve maybe been back with Charlie, had to go back to his parents house after where he would pass out from drinking too much, or forced you into doing something you didn’t want to do. And now you were here with your brother, his best friend, and your old best friend who was now your boyfriend. All in the matter of a few weeks. Hawkins was your home after all, and tonight made it feel a little more like normal.
“You good?” You noticed Robin and Steve had gotten up, and left you and Eddie at the booth by yourselves. “You’re being awfully quiet, Harrington.”
“Yeah, just a little bit drunk and thinking a little too much.” Your eyelids batted at Eddie who was endearingly searching your face for any sign of any other thought.
“Whatchya thinkin’ about?” He propped his head on his hand as he turned to look at you.
“Just… how close the three of you are, and how I feel a little left out. And how weird it is to be back here, with you, and how quick it all seems.”
“We don’t have to move fast.”
“I don’t think we are, I just feel like I’m intruding on something. You three are fine talking amongst yourselves, I just was… admiring the friendships you have. How… unexpected…? they are.”
Eddie narrowed his eyes at you, “You sure you’re okay?”
“I’m fine, Eddie.” You placed your hand on his leg and squeezed it, his hand falling over top of yours and guiding it higher up his thigh to where you could feel his dick getting hard.
“I’m high, and horny, and the way you’ve been staring at me for the last five minutes has me ready to take you in the bathroom right here and now. So unless you want me to go rub one out in the bathroom myself- which, I wouldn’t mind- then please come join me while your brother and Robin are getting more drinks and are hitting on the bartenders.” You glanced over his shoulder to where, sure enough, the two were distracted by the girls working behind the bar. You pushed Eddie out of the booth and all but ran to the hallway of single stall bathrooms. You picked the last one on the hall, and said a quiet thank you that there was a working lock on the door.
“Your tits look amazing in this dress, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on you all night.” Eddie’s greedy hands grabbed at your side as he worked his way up to your chest, massaging your breasts through the satin material. You couldn’t wear a bra with the straps of the dress so you had opted to go without, and his thumbs rubbed over your nipples, making them go hard against the cool, silky fabric. Your body arched into his as he was kissing across the expanse of your throat, you were sure he’d be leaving marks that would appear in the morning, but you didn’t care about that right now because everything felt so good.
You tugged him into you so you could feel more of his body against yours, and you kissed him hard the second he took his mouth off of your neck. The kiss was sloppy- you were drunk, and he was high, and the two of you wanted each other so badly that neither of you cared about the messiness of the kiss- you just knew you needed him right now.
“What do you want, sweetheart?” He asked you in that low voice again as he pushed your foreheads together, both of you panting, “Or do you not know again?” He mocked, you knew he didn’t mean it, and his confidence was getting you going even more.
“What do you want?” You turned the question on him and watched as his head flew back as you grabbed at his hard length through his black pants. “You want that, yeah? You want me on my knees for you?”
His hands left your body as he ran his fingers over his face, and through his hair, and desperately panted out, “Fuck yes, baby.”
You undid his belt with his dark eyes on you, and he guided you down with his hand on top of your head as you sunk to the floor of the bathroom. He was pumping his thick cock with his other hand as you were at eye level with it, it’s size intimidating you, but you weren’t going to let that get to you. His hand pushed your head forward and you opened your mouth with your tongue splayed out and he let out a moan of pleasure as your tongue made contact with the underside of his cock.
“Oh, that feels so good.” He said as you bobbed your head on his cock, adding a hand to pump him into your mouth as the other hand dug into his thigh to help steady yourself. “Fuck, you wanted this all night too, didn’t you? I wanted to see you on your knees in that bathroom at the dumb fucking banquet but this is so much better.” You looked up at him through your lashes and realized what a goner he was for you.
You moaned as his tip hit the back of your throat, and you popped yourself off of him and kept pumping him with your hand, “Town freak with the town slut? What a pair we would’ve been.” You felt his hands back in your hair as he pushed your mouth back down onto his cock, and he pulled you off sloppily, drool stringing from your mouth to his tip.
“Get up before I blow this load into your mouth, I don’t wanna waste it.” He slowly pumped his dick as he watched you stand up, his head tilted in a cocky manner, “turn around and stick your ass out, Harrington.” He guided you to the tile of the bathroom wall where you obeyed. His hands were quick to pull your dress up over your hips, and he slid your thong to the side, “So fucking wet and I haven’t even touched you. I bet this is the shit you love, isn’t it?” You didn’t know what to say as you felt his fingers feel your wet cunt, you were practically dripping already from excitement. “Hawkins High School queen, getting fucked by me in the bathroom of a bar.” With no warning, the tip of his dick replaced his fingers as he shoved himself into your pussy.
“Fuck, Eddie!” You hissed, it almost hurt because he was so wide, and you were so tight. He stilled for a second.
“Sorry, baby, I got a little eager, you okay?” He pulled your sweaty hair back and tucked it behind your ear again. “Tell me when.” He kissed your cheek as he rocked slowly to let you adjust to his size.
“I-I’m good.”
“You sure?” His hands gripped onto your hips as he stayed at a slow pace. “You don’t sound good.”
“I’m too good, you feel so good.” Your forehead met the cold tile as you closed your eyes in bliss at the feeling of being so full.
“There’s my girl.” He said into your ear as he thrusted up into you, your moaning and panting matching each others. His hand snaked around the front of you and started rubbing circles into your clit, “want you to cum on my cock, baby, okay?” You nodded because it was all you could do with how good you felt. Your knees started to feel weak as he picked up the pace of his thrusts into you, and you quickly came undone as he went faster and faster, eventually spilling into you with a few final fucks. His teeth sunk into your shoulder as he stayed inside of you, “Fuck. Are you kidding me?”
“What?” Your head shot back to look at him.
“I can’t believe we missed out on years of this. You felt so good, was everything okay?” He nuzzled into your back as he slowly pulled out of you and you jumped a little at how overly sensitive you were feeling.
“Yeah, it was perfect.” You readjusted your underwear and turned to face him. “You were perfect.”
You kissed him on the lips and he kissed back softly, “Sorry I get a little uh, chatty.” His cheeks were blushing pink and you leaned in and kissed one of them.
“I expected nothing different.” You giggled as you fixed his hair, the post sex-bliss fading away quickly as you realized what you had just done, and where you had done it. “I’ve uh, never… done anything like that before.”
“Yeah, me neither.” Eddie buckled up his belt and helped you smooth your hair and dress down, “but I wouldn’t mind doing that again sometime.”
You grabbed his hand after you checked yourselves out in the mirror and headed back to the table where Robin and Steve had just sat down.
“We don’t need to know.” Robin held her hands up.
“Sorry, I got sick from all the wine. I was going to grab you, but I didn’t wanna take you away from a potential date.”
“Damnit, I lost my money!” Robin slid a $10 bill over to Steve.
“Told you, she can’t hold her wine. I had too many wine calls from Chicago that ended in her throwing up to think differently. Plus, those bathrooms are disgusting.” Steve spoke and slid you a glass of water, with which you hid your blushed cheeks behind while Eddie pulled you into his side with a squeeze.
You all finished a round of water before piling back into Eddie’s van, and he drove Steve and Robin back to her house. You leaned your head on Eddie as he drove the way back to his house, and took a deep sigh.
“You okay? A little worried you might actually get sick now, sweetheart.”
“I’m perfectly fine now. Really good actually. Just tired and ready for bed.”
“Really? ‘Cause I’m ready for round two.” Eddie had his eyebrows raised and you shook your head.
“No way, I’m exhausted. And don’t you have work in the morning?”
“Yes, moooom. I’m just kidding by the way. Unless you wanted to, ‘cause that was really good.”
You rolled your eyes at your boyfriend and closed your eyes as the rumbling of the van relaxed you the rest of the way back.
“I’m gonna stay out and smoke one before heading in. You can pick whatever you want to wear to bed from my drawer.” Eddie lit a cigarette and you scurried inside, but not before you asked him to unzip the back of his dress where his fingers lingered a little too long.
You picked one of his old Hellfire shirts and a pair of boxers, and took them to the bathroom to get changed. After washing your face and brushing your teeth, you climbed into his empty bed and waited for him. It must have been a long time, because next thing you knew he was sneaking into the bed with you with just his boxers on, you had already fallen asleep.
“What took you so long?” You groaned out as your hangover was already starting.
“Had to finish writing something. Didn’t wanna wake you up so I went to the living room.”
“What time is it?” You scratched your head and looked around for a clock.
“Uh, like, four in the morning.”
“Eddie, you need sleep.”
“That’s why I’m here.” He said as he pulled the covers over you two and tucked you into his side. “Goodnight, my girl.”
“‘Night.” You muttered as you yawned and drifted back off to sleep.
-
“Eddie, wake up. Wake up!” You shook a sleeping Eddie who was drenched in sweat and yelling out in his sleep.
“What?!” He sat up abruptly and looked around his room. “Fuck.” He put his head in his hands and pulled at the roots of his hair, “fuck, fuck, FUCK! Shit!”
“Hey, what’s wrong?” You placed a hand on his back, and rubbed it to comfort him but he hissed at the contact and leaned away. “Eddie?” You reached out again with a more gentle touch and felt the scars that lined his back. “You okay?”
He shook his head no, and you sat up, pulling him into a hug. He let you, and collapsed into your arms into the hug.
“Bad dream. Bad fucking nightmare.” He muttered to himself and you couldn’t understand what he was saying.
“What?”
“I said, I had a really shitty dream and I haven’t had one in a long time. I need to go smoke.” He pushed off the bed and stormed out of his bedroom, slamming the door behind him. You sat there, stunned at his sudden mood change again. You waited a few minutes before you got out of bed and crept into the living room. You saw the telephone cord stretched out to the back porch from the kitchen, and saw Eddie propped against the railing talking on the phone and… laughing?
“Eddie, are you okay?”
“Yeah, yeah. Well I’m gonna go. Thanks for talking with me. Buh-bye.” He hung the phone up and finished his cigarette, and embraced you in a hug. You carefully put your arms around him and he let you this time, and you soothingly rubbed his back.
“I’m worried about you and your mood swings, Eddie.”
“Sorry. I just had this dream that you were in the upside down with us, and I couldn’t get you away from vecna, and you were caught-”
“Who?” You quirked your eyebrow at him, hoping for some sort of explanation. “Like, vecna from-”
“Yeah, except way worse. And real. Like really fucking real. And my scars hurt everytime I have these nightmares and they fuck me up for days at a time, and I have to call Steve or someone and-” he stopped his rambling as soon as he realized he was telling you about the past. “Sorry I didn’t mean to talk about it too much.”
“Hey, I’m here for you.” You pulled out of the hug and placed your hands on his soft cheeks that were scattered with patches of facial hair. “You can talk to me too. I know Steve was there, but I’m here now.”
“But you weren’t there.”
“But I’m here now. And I’m not going anywhere, Eddie. I mean it.” You kissed his forehead and watched as he melted into another hug of yours. This time it felt like you were holding him. “Eddie, are you- are you popping a boner right now?” You pulled back from the hug and saw his underwear starting to tent up.
“Sorry, but you’re a beautiful woman hugging me braless in one of my Hellfire shirts. Yes, you’re making me hard.” He blushed at his answer before he squeezed your ass. “Now get inside before I bend you over the porch, it’s time for round two.”

Surprise Pregnancy
Letitia Wright x Black Fem Reader
You hid your pregnancy from Letitia for about 3 months now. You know she’s wanted kids for the longest and you were happy to make that wish come true for her.
A/N : mentions of m!scarriage & b!ood.
mom!letitia mom!reader pregnant!reader
idk how many words i don’t count lol
————————————————————————-
Flashback
Guilt is what you felt. You felt like it was your fault. You blamed yourself non stop for having a miscarriage. Despite Letitia comforting you and letting you know things happen , and we never know what God has planned for us.
You still had this feeling deep down that it was your fault.
———
“ Baby I don’t feel okay , my stomach is in pain again and I’m not sure why .”- You whined as you spoke to your girlfriend on the phone
“ I’m on my way right now, does it feel like cramps , like the same pain you’ve been feeling since like yesterday ?”- Letitia questioned
You watched through facetime as she sped through the streets of London, whispering curse words if people were in her way or not moving
“ Yeah but it feels worse this time , I think - you breathed slowly
“ I think i’m gonna call 911 I don’t feel okay.” - You felt hot tears rolling down your face
“ Baby I’m pulling in the driveway.”- Letitia replied
Not even 2 seconds , your girlfriend burst through the door to find you on the floor. She picked you up bridal style and carried you to the car
“ I hope the baby is okay, I really do.”- You whispered. “ I hope so too .”- Letitia nodded and she drove off to the emergency room.
The pain would go away and then come back. But each time it came back the pain would be worse. It felt like getting kicked in the stomach multiple times. You both arrived at the hospital and Letitia took no time to carry you bridal style into the emergency room.
“ Hello how may I help you guys today ?”- The nurse smiled
“ My- my girlfriend is having stomach pains. She’s about 13 weeks pregnant and has been having pain off and on for about 2 days now .”- Letitia replied
“ Has she had any bleeding ?”- She questioned
“ Not anything heavy. It’s been really light or spotty. But today it was a little more heavy than before .”- You groaned
“ I will have someone with you very soon , please take a seat in the waiting area .” The nurse replied
You both took a seat in the waiting room , you hated being here. You never liked seeing people sick or in pain so you avoided coming to the emergency room but this time you needed to come. You needed to make sure your baby was okay. In the back of your mind you were worried, like really worried. This worry had you thinking the worse.
“ Y/N Y/L/N ?”- A female nurse called out
As you stood up you felt liquid rolling down your leg.
“ Baby you’re bleeding.”- Letitia whispered
Before you were able to get any words out you started to feel lightheaded and suddenly everything went black.
—
Letitia’s POV
“ She should be waking up soon.” - The nurse reassured
You were were worried. You’ve never seen your girlfriend pass out before. You were worried for not only her but for the baby.
“ Do you know why she passed out and is the baby okay? “- You questioned
“ She passed out due to low electrolytes, so she has an IV right now.”-
“ And i’m sorry to tell you this…
Letitia started to breath heavily , she was about to hear a sentence she never wanted to hear
“ You girlfriend has suffered a miscarriage, i’m so sorry Ms.Wright.”- The nurse frowned
As tears rolled down your cheeks you heard your name being called
“ Baby where are you ?”-
You ran back into your girlfriends hospital room and kissed her forehead “ I’m right here baby , how are you feeling ?”- You spoke while trying to hide the pain in your voice.
“ I’m so tired. What even happened?”- She questioned
“ You passed out.”
“ Is the baby okay ? Please tell me the baby is okay ?”- She whined
You watch as she started to slightly panic, you grabbed her hand and gave her a quick kiss.
“Baby.. you had a miscarriage “- Your girlfriend snatched her hands away and turned her back towards you
“ Is it my fault ?” -She questioned
“ No “- You slightly shouted back
“ None of this is your fault baby, things happen.” You replied
end
——-
Y/Ns POV
A year had passed and you both decided to try having a baby again. When you got a positive test you decided on keeping it to yourself because you didn’t want to get Letitia’s hopes up again.
You didn’t show very much but you did have a small belly which you blamed on weight gain from all the food you’d eat on the different vacations you went on.
“ Baby can you come to the kitchen i have something for you “- You shouted
You heard your girlfriend run down the steps “Keep running in the house and you’re going to bust your ass”- you laughed
“ You’d kiss it to make it feel better “- Letitia smirked
“Anyways I have a surprise for you. “ You handed her a small box “ I worked really hard on this so I hope you love it. “
“ I love everything you give me baby. “ She pulled you close and pecked you on your lips
You stood back and watched her carefully untie the ribbon on the box. The first thing she noticed when she opened the box was a note.
“ Buckle up an adventure is about to begin “
“ Ooo are we going on a trip ?” She asked “ You have to finish opening the box”- You added
She pulled out a small white t-shirt
“ Girl ? who is this gonna fit”- Letitia questioned
“ Turn it around “- You jokingly sighed. She turned the shirt around which had
“ Baby Wright Loading 2023”
Letitia looked at you, then looked at the shirt and in the box where your positive pregnancy test laid
“ No fucking way.” -She whispered
“Yes fucking way , 3 months today baby “ -You smiled and rubbed your belly
Letitia quickly stood up and pulled you into a hug, you could feel her tears on your shoulder as she rested her head in the crook of your neck.
“ We having a baby “ - You whispered
Letitia pulled away and smiled. “ I’m so in shock, I’m so lost for words. I’m just so overwhelmed with happiness.”
“ Hiding this from you was so hard, but so worth it, i was scared to get your hopes up again because we all knew what happened last time.”- You shrugged
She pulled you in for a tight hug. “ Baby I love you so much it hurts. Im gonna always stuck beside you no matter what, I don’t care what goes on in our relationship I’m gonna stick beside you. God really blessed us with another miracle and im forever grateful I get to experience this with you.” Letitia smiled

Hey y’all guess what?!? :) it’s time for a new episode of Bedtime Stories With PCE!!!
Who ordered some old man yaoi? That’s right, this one is set right after If Heaven And Hell Decide, with a sick Kyle, worried Stan, the best little immortal cat of all time, adding injury to illness, two middle aged men being massive fantasy dorks, all that goodness. Very sorry to my favorite arthritic ginger it will happen again, very sorry to his extremely concerned husband.
And y’all. I’m dedicating this to the Sickfic Queen herself, @alwaysinstyle who consistently kicks ass and gets stoked about style taking care of each other with me. Ana I love you so much and I’m so proud of you. All the people in your corner, we have you covered.
Also OFC the rest of the RANT homies have been subjected to random snippets of this over the past 2 weeks or so (jesus my sadsack ass needs to get some motivation back how has it been two weeks) but hey I will always be obnoxious when the mood strikes me and this long ass monstrosity is FINALLY done!!! Thank y’all fr for putting up with me.
Here’s •Well, That Would Be Pretty Odd•
A subtle knock at the door drew Stan’s attention and Kyle from uneasy rest. His husband’s head lolled exhaustively in his hand, still drained of energy and, according to the screen displaying his vitals, running a pretty high fever. Stan kept one arm protectively over him and turned to the door. “Yeah?”
The doctor entered, shutting the door behind her. “Hey, guys, how are we doing in here?”
Kyle pulled up slowly, clearly emotional, like he always got when he was sick. “Can I go home yet? Moose needs me.”
“Our cat,” Stan explained. “He’s worried he scared our cat.”
“I did.”
“Scared the hell out of your husband, too, sick as you are. It says on the chart you guys filled out that your blood sugar was low enough to potentially trigger a seizure. If he hadn’t acted as fast as he did, you’d be even worse off than you are.”
Kyle slumped back into Stan. “He always rescues me,” he murmured.
Stan felt like crying. “I’m your knight when you need me, dude.” He took a deep breath. “Okay, what’re we working with here? Stomach flu, dehydration, complications because of the diabetes, all that, right?”
“Right. Kyle, we have you on antivirals and fluids via IV for now, and I know you’re eager to get home-“
“-he hates hospitals-“
“-I hate hospitals.”
The doctor smiled kindly, even after getting interrupted. Stan liked her. “We’re keeping you overnight at least, but if your vitals are still stable and your fever is less than 102, we can send you home.”
Stan knew Kyle appreciated being the one addressed about his own health. This doctor could read the room, that’s for sure. Kyle nodded tiredly, eyes closed.
“How about when we go home? What’s the plan?” Stan inquired, tired as fuck himself but making an exception for Ky, always.
“Fluids, rest, anything with nutritional value that can stay down. Your friend in the waiting room mentioned orange juice as you guys’ go-to when Kyle’s having trouble with blood sugar? And he said you’re always diligent about keeping an eye on his health.” She was definitely addressing Stan now, since Kyle had clearly relinquished responsibility for the time being, knowing Stan had him covered. Hell yeah he did. “Any further complications; if you catch the bug too and can’t take care of him, another bad sugar drop or fever spike, and you guys come right back here. But at this point, it’s looking like this is something manageable from home, fingers crossed.”
And Stan had every finger crossed. He’d take care of Kyle, just like Kyle took care of him. Even if he was kind of scared as fuck, not having seen him quite this sick since maybe college. Or even when they were kids and he needed kidney surgery. He bit the panic down. Kyle was okay.
“Gotcha. I can spend the night? Spousal rights and everything?”
“You won’t convince him not to stay if you say no,” was Kyle’s muffled reply.
The doctor laughed. “I won’t make you leave. The last thing I want is either of you worked up, especially you, Kyle. If you need your husband with you to be comfortable-“
“-mhm-“
“-that’s not a problem in my book.” She tapped her clipboard with long fingernails. “There’s a call button on the bed if you need anything between the nurses checks, and I’ll tell your friend he’s free to go. He isn’t allowed back here, I’m afraid, but I can also let him know he can be the one to pick you up in the morning, if that’s what you two want?”
Kyle mumbled something that sounded like “like a good neighbor, Tucker is there” to the tune of the state farm insurance jingle. The doctor raised an eyebrow.
“Yeah, he’s pretty delirious, alright.” A couple quick checks to Kyle’s IV line and heartbeat monitor, and she was gesturing for Stan to lay his half asleep husband back down. “You boys get some rest. We’ll keep you posted.”
“Thanks,” Stan whispered, letting Kyle nuzzle into his chest as she left the room. Once they were alone in the darkened space, he kissed him softly on the top of the head. Kyle was a space heater. But if the hospital staff wasn’t alarmed, they were okay. “I’ve got you, baby, just sleep.”
The next morning, Kyle improved enough to leave and discharge paperwork done, they faced the problem of actually getting the sick man home.
Stan waved off the nurse’s offered wheelchair and stubbornly picked Kyle up because like hell was he losing even a second of contact. That and he took pride in the fact that he was in his 40s and still able to carry his husband.
“Sir, there’s procedure…”
Kyle snorted from where his head was against Stan’s shoulder, coherent enough to be aware but still too weak to insist on, god forbid, trying to walk on his own. “Believe me, ma’am, there’s no way in hell you’re convincing this guy not to carry me. Losing battle, mark my worms- words.”
Someone needed to be home in bed.
The nurse sighed, clearly deciding it wasn’t worth argument. Thank God, because Kyle could out argue anyone normally, but he was fucking tired.
“Just sing me home again, Orpheus,” he murmured into his husband’s ear.
Stan laughed at the reference. “Alright, ma’am, so if we’re all set….”
“Yes, yes, you can go. Hope you feel better.”
Kyle only had a vague recollection of both Stan and Craig yelling at the hospital staff when they brought him in, which was kind of funny to think about. Craig didn’t get worked up about things easily, and Stan was as gentle as they came. But it was nice to know his friend and his partner were willing to act so out of character for his sake. He muttered a “hey, spaceman” in greeting when Stan lowered him into the back of Craig’s car, mid morning sun forcing him to keep his eyes closed.
Craig barked a short laugh, pulling from the parking lot when both his passengers were settled for the short drive. “Someone’s feeling better.”
“I’ll get him set to rights, kick the plague’s ass,” Stan said, softly kissing his husband’s still too warm forehead. “Thanks for picking us up, dude. And for last night.”
“No biggie,” Craig shrugged nonchalantly. “Someone had to keep a level head and it sure as hell wasn’t gonna be either of you.”
Well, he wasn’t wrong there. Craig was probably the least prone to getting over emotional person Stan had ever met.
Craig’s husband, however, was the exact opposite. Upon getting home and getting up to bed, Kyle could faintly hear the frantic voice of Tweek downstairs, bringing Moose back from spending the night over at apartment two.
Kyle was nauseous, not to the point that he had been, but nauseous all the same, waiting for Stan to be done retrieving their cat and filling Kyle’s water. He felt weak as shit, and sweaty, which was probably a reasonably good indicator of his fever coming down, but it fucking sucked. And he was going to need some soup or something in him soon so his blood sugar didn’t get so bad again, which was another thing that sucked, because why do flesh prisons require so much maintenance? Why did his body require so much to function.
He didn’t realize tears were flowing until Stan entered the bedroom, hands full with the water, a KMBS, and one of those bottled protein drinks that tasted like chalk. Moose was quick to jump up and pad softly over to him, big blue eyes so worried and sweet as he curled up beside him. Kyle’s two blue eyed boys.
The second of whom was setting the drinks on the bedside table. There was a straw in each, so Kyle wouldn’t have to move as much to drink. It made him cry harder.
“Shhh, dude, it’s okay, it’s okay.” Stan climbed onto his side and grabbed the juice, holding it to Kyle’s lips. “I know you don’t feel good, that’s okay. I’ve got you. Go slow, okay?”
Kyle complied, the sharp taste of salted orange juice helping both physically and mentally. Plus, it’s hard to drink something and cry at the same time, so his breathing was a little less sporadic. A few sips were all he managed before his stomach started rolling, and he shook his head. Stan understood, setting the cup down and pulling Kyle’s face into his chest. “Just sleep, baby. I’m gonna have to check your temperature and levels in about an hour, but just sleep until then, alright?”
“Mhm.”
Stan would take care of him. Kyle would put up a fight, when he had the strength to, but Stan knew from experience that he’d be ‘secretly’ loving being cared for.
The husbands had a couple favorite positions to hold each other in. They’d hold the other from behind, arms wrapped around and poised to kiss an exposed nape or shoulder as a reminder of their presence. They would entangle themselves like they were doing now, they’d let the other’s head rest on their legs, Kyle would perch himself in Stans lap or Stan would drape over him like a blanket. Holding each other was safe. And in this moment Stan wrapped protectively around his sick partner like it was his sacred duty, one hand cradling Kyle’s head from underneath, fingers gently rubbing his hair, the other arm tucking him firmly against himself, feeling Moose’s purrs vibrating where the cat had claimed his place against Kyle’s back, right below the place Stan’s arm was wrapped around.
Stan glanced at the nightstand clock, keeping watch for the next time they’d need to wake up for a check in. About an hour and he’d get the thermometer to make sure they were still headed in the right direction, check Kyle’s levels, make them both something for, well, he supposed lunch at this point, and call the clinic to let his coworkers know that he’d be out a few days for a family emergency. He’d have to let Kyle’s work know too, before his husband tried to go into school still unwell.
Fitfully, Kyle dozed, sweating in his sleep, which Stan knew damn well he’d complain about when he woke up, but personally, he didn’t mind holding a miniature sun, because it was Kyle. Overheated, but still Kyle.
It hadn’t quite been an hour, but the warmth was starting to concern him. He gently kissed the top of his husband’s head, encouraging him to stir.
“Dude, hey.”
Kyle let out a tired whine as indication that he was awake.
“I know, baby. I just need to check your temperature and then you can go back to sleep.”
“I can check my own damn temperature,” Kyle protested, rolling over onto his back when Stan relinquished his grasp around his beloved. He scowled. “I’m all sweaty.”
Stan chuckled lowly. Was he right or was he right. “Gimme a second.”
Upon getting the thermometer and finding that they were still going in the right direction, Stan relaxed slightly. He let Kyle check both his temperature and blood sugar by himself, because it wasn’t worth the impending argument and the last thing he wanted was to make his husband feel helpless. Fever was down, but he definitely needed something to eat soon.
“Dude, do you think you can handle something solid, or you wanna keep sticking with drinks?”
Kyle hadn’t puked in a while, so he felt like maybe something simple, easy on the stomach, would be okay. As much as he wanted to keep going with the safe option of juice and a protein shake, he wouldn’t get better without something substantial in him and he knew it. “I can try. No promises.”
“You don’t need to promise anything,” Stan insisted, leaning down to kiss him on the way out of bed. “But I have an idea, if you’re okay by yourself for a few minutes.”
“Moose is with me. I’m not by myself,” Kyle remarked with a sleepy smile.
Stan snorted and went to change into jeans, last night’s pajamas not exactly ideal attire for walking to the BBQ place a block over. Kyle was weird about food sometimes, but Brendan’s mac and cheese was a simple, safe, Kyle approved bet. He’d probably want it to get cold first like he usually did (weirdo), but sick Kyle was sort of a wild card. They’d see.
“I’ll be back in fifteen, dude, drink some water.”
“Yeah, yeah, I know.”
Kyle heard the door close downstairs, slowly reaching for his water at the bedside, one hand resting on their cat’s head. Moose was stretched out along his side, fluffy tail dangling off the side of the mattress.
“You sleepy too, young nastyman?” Kyle asked, setting the bottle down and closing his eyes. Moose purred in response.
Apparently he’d drifted off again, waking up to the rustle of a takeout bag and a strong, smoky smell.
Kyle clapped a hand over his mouth. Ordinarily the smell of brisket and ribs wouldn’t bother him, but in his half asleep state, smelling meat on Stan of all people…
“…Dude?”
“FUCKING CHANGE!” Kyle screeched, staggering up to run to the bathroom, tears in his eyes because the bbq place smell all over his vegetarian husband was wrong and disorienting and he hated being sick and fevers made him sensitive and an asshole and-
Falling hard in front of the toilet, he felt his knee go out. The cherry on top of the fucking cake while his stomach tried to escape his body. Kyle cried out in pain, which was cut off immediately by a wave of sick splashing into the porcelain while he attempted to move and take the weight off his left leg, shaking and already crying because he was pissed and it hurt and he couldn’t catch a damn break. Dry heaving and spluttering, he collapsed tiredly into the alcove between the toilet and the cabinets, one trembling arm draped over the seat and the other hand clutching his knee, eyes shut tightly against the light and the nausea and pain.
“Ky, hey, hey, oh, fuck, baby, shit, did you twist your knee? Okay, you’re okay, hold on-“
Kyle leaned over to retch again, choking out “YOU SMELL WRONG” because that’s all he could manage between gasps.
Stan yanked his shirt off and threw it through the open door into the hallway, past where Moose was watching with wide eyes from the threshold. “Okay, I’m sorry, is that better? Here.” He gently eased Kyle’s hand away from his leg, carefully straightening it out. “God, yeah, it’s already swelling.”
“WHY do I have to LIVE IN THIS GODDAMN FLESH PRISON?!?” Kyle slammed his fist against the floor, frustrated beyond belief. Stan caught his hand before he could do it again.
“Shh, Ky, c’mon. You’re okay, it’s fine.”
Seeing his husband like this, sick, aggravating his bad knee mid vomit, broke Stan’s heart. But he had him. He had him and wouldn’t let go. Was that dramatic? Absolutely. But when the fuck was he not dramatic about Kyle’s health?
“THAT FUCKING STUPID ASS NURSE!” Kyle was yelling. “Sending me sick kids, thinking they were just trying to get out of class, that BITCH!”
“Baby, dude, calm down, man, breathe.”
“YOU’RE ONE TO FUCKING TALK!”
Alright, point to Kyle. Stan sighed as Kyle heaved over the toilet again, expelling nothing but water. They really needed to get something in him before he wound up needing the hospital again. Stan gently rubbed his husband’s back as he hiccuped and cried, clearly feeling betrayed by his body. A few minutes of heavy breathing, and Kyle was pulling back up. “I- I think I’m d-done.”
“Alright dude, I’m gonna get you up now, that okay?”
“Mhm”
Very, very carefully, Stan hauled Kyle from the floor, mindful not to move his knee too much and going slow in case of another bout of nausea. Moose trotted into the bedroom after his dads, obviously distressed seeing Kyle cry and immediately curling back up against the redhead when Stan set him down.
Stan was honestly a little nauseous himself, because Kyle’s frustrated tears never failed to make him emotional too. But he knew what to do here, he reminded himself. Fever was coming down, leg flare up was pretty routine, Kyle would rant it out if he had to and Stan would be his yes-man, and liquids were probably going to be the staple for the rest of the day.
He rolled up a throw blanket and propped it under Kyle’s leg, taking some strain off the irritated joint and kissing his husband’s kneecap when he did so. “You want ice, babe?”
“Yes I want fucking ice,” Kyle mumbled, arms draped over his eyes.
Stan could admit to enjoying taking care of Kyle when he fucked up his knee; pissed off Kyle was cute. “Aw, baby, I got you.” He grabbed the takeout bag from the nightstand too, not knowing if the bbq smell was lingering there too. “I’ll stick this in the fridge for when you want something solid, okay? How ‘bout another Ensure?”
Kyle grumbled something inaudible that Stan took as a yes. Poor thing was so upset. But he had every right to be, and Stan would never be annoyed at him for that.
Downstairs, he debated making his husband a smoothie, but the blender was loud, and his head probably already hurt from throwing up. Instead, he just grabbed an ice pack and a shake (strawberry, still gross but the flavor Kyle hated the least), taking the time to scribble out the nutrition information, just in case. That practice was pretty much habit at this point; he’d started ripping off or crossing out the calories on food for Kyle when they were fourteen, when his favorite person was recovering from his eating disorder, and even if he’d been more than fine for a longgggg time, Stan was prone to reverting to the past. When Kyle wasn’t okay, for whatever reason, food lore got crossed out.
“Dude, you up?”
“Mm”
“Shit, babe.” Stan knelt by the bed to carefully apply the ice, reaching a hand up to thumb away a falling tear. “You just mad?”
“Fucking pissed,” Kyle moaned. “It’s not enough that I have the goddamn plague?!? I have to have to fuck my leg up too? My parents are, like twice our age and even they don’t have fucking arthritis!” Kyle pointed two middle fingers to the ceiling as a ‘fuck you’ to god, which was actually pretty funny, but Stan didn’t laugh. That would only make his husband madder.
“Ky, c’mon.” Stan cupped under his head to kiss his cheek, relishing in the subtle smile that action brought. “And your parents didn’t shred tendons and refuse to do physical therapy.”
“I am damn well aware my goddamn arthritis is my own fault, Staniel.” But he sighed contentedly, adjusting the ice pack before leaning back against the pillows. “That helps. I’m sorry.”
Declaring the anger over for now, Stan climbed into bed beside him. “Don’t be sorry, dude. How’s your stomach?”
“I don’t fucking feel good.”
“I know, dude, can you drink a little water? We have to keep you hydrated.”
“It’ll just come back up.”
“Not necessarily.”
Moose crawled up between his dads, small furry head on Kyle’s shoulder, knowing he needed comfort. Kyle rubbed his face on the cat. “Babyman, did I scare you last night? I did, huh?”
“Dude,” Stan started, “he’s fine. You’re fine. We’re all fine. Drink something and don’t move your leg.”
“I didn’t shred my tendons, by the way.” Kyle protested. “I just tore some shit a little.”
“Enough that it’s a problem even now.”
“See, you get it.”
Stan laughed. “Quit being a dick and go to sleep, baby. You know you’ll feel better. I’m right here, dude, whatever you need.”
“I’m not being a dick, I’m being contrary.”
“Same difference.”
“Mm.”
God, poor Kyle, pissed off, sick, having a flare up on top of everything else. “Dude, what do you need?”
“Leg hurts.”
“We have a pack on it, dude. Maybe some ibuprofen? You should take some for the fever anyway.”
“It hurts.”
Stan started to gently rub his partner’s knee. “I know, babe. I know it’s hurting.”
“I hit it on the floor.”
“I know you did.”
“Fuck this shit.”
Kyle knew he was being a total dramatic asshole, but he didn’t care. God had fucked him over; he could be a dick. That made sense. “I’m mad, dude.”
“That’s okay.”
And no he didn’t have the right to be mad. Stan was being so sweet. Always. Any time Kyle’s meat suit betrayed him and he got upset about it, Stan was there, doting and adorable as ever. “I’m sleepy.”
“So go to sleep.”
“Something bad’s gonna happen.”
“Oh, dude.” Stan wrapped around him, carefully. “We’re not OCD spiraling. We’re not. A little rest, alright?”
In actuality, Kyle was too tired to argue.
It had to have been a few hours when Stan felt Kyle stir against his chest, swinging over to get out of bed… and promptly falling with a loud “FUCK!”
“Ky?”
“I FUCKING FORGOT ABOUT MY GODDAMN LEG!!!”
Stan sprang off the bed then too, getting on the floor beside his hyperventilating husband. “Dude, shhh, okay, okay, straighten it out.”
Sobbing, Kyle did. “D-don’t, freak, okay? I moved it weird, that’s all.”
“It’s fine, dude. Look at me. I’m not freaking out.” He was just doing a good job hiding it. Stan hated seeing Kyle cry, emotional, probably still feverish and nauseated, trying to get up in the middle of the night and falling on his knee, just the perfect storm of fucked up shit. But Kyle needed to stay calm, above all else. “What did you need, dude? Let me help you.”
“Water,” Kyle mumbled dejectedly.
“And guess what? You have me for that.” Stan carefully felt around his husband’s leg. “Can I turn a light on?”
Kyle responded by throwing up into the trash can, which had Stan gagging too. Fuck. Honestly, he was surprised he lasted so long without sympathy puking. “Hold on, baby.”
Stan rushed to the bathroom to empty his own stomach, somehow only just noticing that he still hadn’t put a shirt on from earlier. And Kyle hadn’t said anything about him wearing “outside pants” in bed, either, which was probably the best indicator of how sick he was.
Flushing down the panic induced vomit, Stan stood and glared at his reflection while he rinsed his mouth out, gulping a few handfuls of water from the sink. He had to keep it together. He needed a plan. Okay. Get Kyle back in bed, check his temperature and blood sugar, go downstairs to fill up his water and feed Moose, go from there.
Kyle had curled up on the floor back in the bedroom, and Moose had the zoomies. Stan sighed.
“Dude, okay, let’s get up.”
“Moving sucks ass.”
“I know it does, babe, but the bed is better than the floor.”
“Quit being right,” Kyle mumbled, allowing himself to be helped back under the covers. Stan snagged his readers from the nightstand, flipping on the lamp and grabbing the thermometer too.
“Okay, melmë, let’s see.”
Kyle smiled a little. “You look like a dad.”
“I am a dad,” he reminded him. Even if he’d bemoaned needing reading glasses and his body getting softer with age, his sentimental side was happy he had made it this far in life, especially with Kyle at his side. “Our son is bouncing off the walls as we speak. Open.”
Down to 100.3, thank whoever the fuck was up there. Maybe he should be thanking Kyle’s God, not having any attachment to one of his own. When he’d first started AA and found that part of the whole thing was putting things in the hands of a higher power, he had posed the question of what to do if you weren’t particularly religious to his sponsor. Mark had said “hell, put your faith in the doorknob if you want. Got you in here, didn’t it?”
“What’s the damage?” Kyle inquired.
“Definitely better. You want to check your levels or can I?”
Kyle slowly opened his eyes. “I got it, sweetheart, you’ve been doing so much.”
“Because I want to.”
“I’m difficult.”
Stan brought Kyle’s hand up to his lips and kissed it. “It so isn’t your fault that you got sick, or that you hurt your knee, or that you have diabetes. In sickness and in health, right?” Kyle’s fond grin only grew, and Stan decided to let up on the overbearingness. He snatched Moose up quickly on the cat’s next lap around the room. “I’m filling your water and feeding the dragon, okay? Be right back.”
So he had sweat out most of the fever, it seemed like. Judging by how sticky he felt, Kyle was fairly certain he was over the worst. At least in terms of the fucking stomach flu. His leg was a different story.
It was dim in the bedroom with only a sliver of moonlight slipping through the window, and the soft light from the lamp, but he could feel that he’d aggravated his knee pretty bad. If it wasn’t one thing, it was another. The cartilage felt like it was grinding when he shifted. Kyle groaned in frustration, debating trying to hop over to the closet for his brace, but deciding against it, because Stan would flip his lid if he saw him standing. And considering what his blood sugar was at, being vertical was a bad idea anyway.
Said husband returned to the room. “I come bearing gifts for the king!”
Dork. Freshly refilled water, a KMBS, sleeve of crackers. Stan presented the juice. “Your elixir, melda târ. And-“ he beelined for the top of the closet, clearly having read Kyle’s mind.
“Thank you, my most dutiful and trusted of knights.” Kyle let him secure the knee brace, watching as those careful, strong, gentle hands worked, as Stan leaned down to kiss his leg when he was done. His Stan. His sweet Sir Marshwalker.
“Oh, shit, dude, are you crying? Does it hurt that much?” Stan was up by his face again. Kyle shook his head.
“It’s not that; I just- I really fucking love you,” he sobbed.
“Aw, baby, come here.” Stan climbed into bed and wrapped around him again, avoiding touching his husband’s stomach or leg. A little jingle of Moose’s collar announced their boy’s return to the bedroom, a tiny *prrrt* as the cat settled back at Kyle’s side. “You’re not as warm as you were, Ky, I think you’re getting better. That’s good, my love, you’re okay.”
“I’m okay,” Kyle murmured against him, damp eyelashes tickling Stan’s chest. “You still don’t have a shirt on.”
Stan laughed. So he had noticed. “You complaining?”
“You know I’m not.”

irl food poisoning
so my partner just tried two forkfulls of bubble and squeak that we had left over from xmas dinner
i thought it might have gone off by now as we didn't have it when planned (we went over to his parents on boxing day) but he said it probably still fine so he tried some
*immediately* after eating it he asked me if i had had any recently, and i said no not for a couple days. he said he asked because he instantly felt sick. and im talking like, not even a whole minute after he'd swallowed it. it was the first thing he said after he'd swallowed it.
he said he'd felt absolutely fine before, and now after those two forkfulls felt violently and suddenly sick. we suddenly had a realisation- i was ill yesterday, and ive been picking at that bubble and sqeak all week on and off, whenever ive been in the fridge i've just had a forkfull of it
i started feeling ill halfway through the day two days ago, and then I felt absolutely awful all day yesterday. i didnt puke but i felt violently sick all day, i have emetophobia so i took one of my anti emetic pills (im also chronically ill so thankfully have a small pharamcy to hand at all times lol) but who knows if i would've thrown up if i hadn't taken the meds. i had really bad stomach cramps all day, that felt like they were spread across the whole of my stomach and I *never* get stomach issues like that. i assumed it was just my body's reaction to eating more and also eating more unhealthily over xmas as i've been on a very strict diet up until like the 22nd december.
we suddenly put two and two together. i *was* actually sick, and it was because of the bubble and squeak. if it was bad when *i* ate it, several days ago, who knew had bad it was now. i smelt it, and it smelt terrible. it smelt off, and had a distinct vinegar-y tang. my partner has adhd and so obviously, didn't think to smell it first. i am autistic and emetophobic so i smell food obsessively before eating.
the fact that he already felt violently sick so soon after eating it meant if it stayed in him, he was going to feel *way* worse than I had as it had taken me around half a day to start feeling ill after eating it.
he debated whether or not to go and make himself throw up, but it turns out his body was going to make the decision for him anyway...
ill continue in a part two :)

A Little Intro :>
Hiii! So I'm trying to post more so hopefully I get motivated because ive b/ped all month (yikes) Im not new or anything though, i just dont post.
So, I've had mia for like a year now, but the disordered thoughts have always been there like "I need to eat less" or "Im gonna start working out more" but i never counted cals or fasted etc i just wanted to be thinner. I also didnt know much about eds at the time either. But then later on I met a girl with Ana and started becoming really jealous of her and some people said we looked alike even tho i didnt really know her. So out of envy and jealousy, I started stalking her posts and noticed she posted alot of ed bs and I was intrigued. So I started researching more about eds and stuff like that. But one skill ive always had was making my food come up. I never used it for purging I just flexed my stomach muscles and made the food come up to chew it a couple of times before sending it right back down. But then I realized I could take advantage of that. So I started purging really often leading me to developing bulimia. But I started going to the bathroom after dinner really often and my dad noticed. His sisters, my mom and HER SISTERS all had eating disorders which i never knew about until he confronted me about my ed. My dad started not letting me use the bathroom after eating also he was pissed off with me instead of worried. He didnt even send me to recovery or anything either. so looking back at it, he just didnt care enough or he didnt know much about it. (which he should, seeing how much ed history in my family there is) but then I started being sneakier with it so he just kinda suspected I "got better" but then I started vomitting more frequently and he caught me. (Note that he didnt know I was a hands free purger so he just thought I was sick) I made up a lie and said that I havent been able to stop vomiting and that I felt super sick. So, then I came up with a master plan to start doing it in front of him more often, so he'd think I had a stomach virus that was really bad and then he'd take me to a doctor or something and I was hoping that theyd give me some foods to cut out so itd be easier for me to restrict. (little did i know there'd be ALOT more than that) So when we saw a doctor, they asked me some questions they did suggest I cut out citrus foods, acidic foods, greasy foods which kind of helped me restrict. But recently I checked in with them again and I told them I havent shit in weeks AND I GOT LAXATIVES YAYYYY!! But I am surprised that they didnt do any stool tests. The only real check up thing they did was give me an xray on my stomach, but they said everything looked good. Sometimes I feel really invalid because I dont purge with my hands or use anything like a toothbrush. And I do feel really guilty seeing how far I've carried on this lie. But being a hands free purger comes with so many pros.

Made a little ficlet about teacher au Geto getting a cold while Gojo is out on a mission! It's pure fluff and can be found on ao3 or below if you don't wanna go off-site :) (written for @uotuok my partner in crime who deserves all the love. Go look at her art its INCREDIBLE)
A/n this is sett when the kids are like 13/14 so Megumi is still in middle school and getting into fights which Gojo and Geto try v hard not to encourage. The twins and Tsumiki go to the same school. Geto left the JuJutsu world of missions when he met the twins and has only started teaching now that the kids are a lot older.
*********************
Satoru stepped into the entrance of their home and called out.
“Honey I'm home!” He was met instead with silence and a distant sound of coughing. He frowned taking his jacket off and hanging it up, changing to his slippers. Where was his honey, he was home godammit!
He noted the mess on the stairs and their entrance hallway of teenage sneakers and sighed as he put on his slippers.
It was unlike Suguru to not call back a cheerful Satoru~! Or even meet him at the front door. He turned into the living room to see a bomb site of a mess and one very tired sniffling Suguru sat under their Kotatsu.
“Hi” he croaked.
Satoru got to his knees in front of him and put his hands on his face, his cheeks were roasting. His cute nose red and sore from blowing it with tissues and his beautiful brown eyes puffy. Satoru felt a panic spike in his chest, he had been gone for a week. Had his mental health gotten bad again, why hadn't Shoko messaged him? Why hadn't the kids??
“Oh baby what happened?”
“Kids got me sick. Don't you'll catch it” Suguru sniffed before erupting into coughs. Satoru sighed relieved, a cold he could deal with, the idea of Suguru alone and drowning without him there to help pull him up haunted him after their teenage years.
“Where are the kids?”
Suguru erupted into coughs before answering “Tsumiki is at her friend's studying, Megumi is at an “after school club” but I think he's fighting again and the twins are in Harajuku shopping. They may or may not have your credit card, I'll admit I've not been on top of it. They only got this cold for like a day but Ive been sick since Tuesday” he groaned. “I'm sorry, the house is a tip”
“Why didn't you call Shoko to come fix this love?” Satoru said gently stroking his check with his thumb.
“Tried, she's too busy. It's her weekend away with Utahime” he grumbled. He laid his head on the table. “ Stupid lesbians”
Satoru stroked his hair which clung to his face limply, lacking it's usual shine and chuckled. Poorly Suguru was always a little dramatic, Satoru hadn't seen him like this since the early days of getting the kids when they had started new schools together and had brought home every sickness bug under the sun. Satoru had been unaffected with his limitless and RCT Suguru on the other hand had walled himself in their bedroom only letting Shoko in to fix him from the stomach bugs that plagued them, refusing to let Satoru see him in all his vomiting glory. Satoru had pointed out he had seen him barf after curse swallowing plenty of times but Suguru had maintained his distance nonetheless.
Satoru kissed his head gently.
“Ok baby, you stay there. I'll fix this.” He said but Suguru was already closing his eyes.
It took about 15 minutes to set the bath and make a tea but when he came back Suguru was still laying there looking almost pathetically unwell.
“Up we go sweetheart” Satoru said lifting him easily. Suguru barely fought him and wrapped his arms around his neck letting his husband carry him up to the bathroom. Steam and the smell of lavender arose from the room as Satoru gently undressed him and helped him step into the water. He sighed at the heat before swallowing the cold medicine he offered with a peppermint tea.
“How's it feeling?”
“My whole body aches but this is good” Suguru sighed as Satoru began to gently wet and wash his hair with his special shampoo.
“I'm sorry I'm not ready to go to pound town like we promised” Suguru sniffed. Satoru laughed.
“I can pound you all you want later or vice versa. For now let me take care of you my love” he said kissing his husbands forehead. Suguru nodded, coughing again as Satoru rolled his sleeves up and got his hands deep into Suguru's hair massaging out what he could of his headache.
“You shouldn't kiss me you'll get sick”
“I can't get sick but I'll happily try” Satoru smiled, giving his husband a few more kisses for good measure. Once he was satisfied with Suguru's sleepy expression and his hair shone, Satoru kissed him again and left the room promising to come back shortly.
He surveyed the living room first making short work of the mess of tissues and takeaway boxes on the side, loading the dishwasher and chucking in the clothes Suguru had been wearing to the washing machine and turning it on. He then worked his way through the hallways, picking up the twins' items; they tended to leave their stuff everywhere unlike their sister Tsumiki who always kept neat and tidy, Mimiko tended to leave stuffies and books she had been reading wherever she sat whereas Nanako’s main offenders were bobby pins, hair ties and weird variations of spicy crisps. He binned the rubbish, bundled the items together and took them to their room, making a note to remind them to tidy it up later. Sure he was messy but he still had standards, he grimaced at their shared bathroom and the hairs on the shower wall deciding this was definitely a task for them and not their parents. He checked in on Megumi and Tsumiki’s room and found them spotless as always, smiling as he left the corridor and made his way to his and Suguru's floor of the house which contained their bedroom, bathroom and home office.
He listened in for a moment to their bathroom and heard gentle snoring from his partner and smiled as he left him to rest for a moment.
Their bedroom was a bit worse, it was clear while he had been away that Suguru’s health had taken a toll, he had gotten into a habit of coming home and immediately dumping his clothes/bag on their floor and getting straight into bed which was currently in disarray. Satoru opened the window and tried not to feel too guilty, it was part of their agreement now in exchange for Suguru leaving the Jujutsu world (aside from teaching) and missions behind him Gojo had to take on more which meant sometimes he would be away for a week or longer, sure he missed going on missions but he'd rather a happy Suguru any day of the week and normally his time away allowed them to really miss each other and get all ramped up and grabby the moment they got each other alone.
He picked up the several days worth of clothes that lay stranded, changed their bedsheets and repositioned Suguru's book pile on his side of the bed, binning the tissues and replacing the glass of water with a fresh drink too. Lastly he picked a pair of soft, clean pyjamas for them both and stripped off himself.
Suguru opened his eyes a little as he entered the bathroom and Satoru gently lifted him forward as he slid in the large bath behind him. He sighed adding more hot water as Suguru’s head rested against his chest, their legs entangling in the water as he wrapped his arms around him and held him tight. Suguru settled against him as Satoru stroked along his arms and chest.
“Sorry”
“Dont be sorry for being poorly-”
“I'm sorry for not telling you” Suguru said quietly. “Its embarrassing, you and Shoko can use RCT and I get knocked out by a basic cold.”
Satoru tilted his head to kiss him.
“You don't need to be sorry, I love you, you look after everyone you're gonna have to accept that you need looking after too and I'm more than happy to do it.”
Suguru smiled gently and laid back against him, stroking his husband's arms under the water.
“How are you feeling now?” Satoru asked and Suguru hummed.
“Better, but then with you I always do”
They settled, embracing the heat of the water and each other, napping a little. Later when Gojo lifted him out and dressed him in pyjamas and gently dried his hair they would remark on the pruning of their fingers and Satoru would make them all chicken ramen for dinner and Suguru would fill him in on all the school gossip and Satoru would present him with the souvenirs he had gotten him before the kids got home and bombarded him for hugs (including begrudgingly Megumi) but for now they were sated, warm and safe in each others company. Satoru smiled, happy to be home.

I realised something today.
Im not in danger or a danger to myself in any way. Mentioning that because of the content warning.
CW for mentions of domestic abuse
I havent been able to eat properly since days ago. I try to down as much food as i can, though its mostly liquids, protein shakes and such. Today I woke up shaking, i couldnt stand to be in the kitchen, no matter how much i sleep i wake up tired.
Anemia? i thought. Ive been anemic before and it didnt feel like this, though. Maybe it felt different because im older now. Something just felt off. A stomach infection? but nothing else hurt...dehydration? maybe I was reacting weirdly to my new meds...
I wanted to go talk to a friend and i almost decided against it, i didnt want to worry him. I looked at myself in the mirror and looked so pale. This past 2 weeks i lost almost 3 kilos.
At the end I decided to go get a subway and as my friend was nearby, i went to talk with him for a bit. We were talking and suddenly i realised that i was hungry. Very, very hungry. I wasnt even nauseous anymore, nor was I shaking. In the reflection of the fridge i looked normal, other than mildly tired.
Maybe i just needed to have a laugh. Was it just loneliness? i assumed I felt guilty about no longer having the job because then he can't eat calmly (which i am) but the point of not being able to eat? it didnt sound like me.
I get home, put my subway on the table, and i feel like crying. I also can't even take a bite, its like i swallowed rocks. My arms keep shaking. So then it hit me
Its my house. I can't eat if im here, i can barely breathe. Even without my mother here i can't stand it, the fear of getting hit remains. If im outside im fine, i was talking perfectly fine, i was walking around the store and now at home i felt like my knees wanted to give up on me.
My jaw hurts from how much i clench my teeth.
I need to leave. I need a job that pays enough to pay rent, or if i work enough, to pay a mortgage. Shit, if its cheaper i'll get a car and live there. I would need a driver's licence but that shouldnt be hard.
i used to hide underneath the table my PC is on when my mother got aggresive. She's never hit me, just threw stuff and yelled and threatened to harm herself. To not eat, to not sleep, to quit her job if i didnt obey. Im tired, im scared, im starting to get really sick. theres only so much stress a single person can take.
meanwhile i can eat outside and problem solved, but thats not a permanent solution. I'm getting out of here.

Sweet Sunday or whateverday for ari fluff?. ari and reader friend/now gf I guess we are?. when she sick how does ari cope or help
This one got away from me like they all have and makes me pretty nervous to post. So even though I hate to spoil it, I gotta put that there are warnings for unplanned pregnancy and mild language. WC 1.2k
Calling From the Office Of... a Bedrock and Blueprints tale
The rule when you don't feel well is two missed meals and then it's time for the doctor. Ari doesn't mean eating a little and then stopping because you just 'are done;' it's the 'I do not feel well enough to eat' or the 'I can't keep down food' type of skipping. It's 'can't get out of bed' or 'can't lift my head to eat' skipping. That's the type he immediately insists it's time for the doc, even if it's just a visit to his friend Sam's clinic.
Ari always drives you to the doctor, too, since at that point you shouldn't take public transit if you're that unwell. It's rare that you surpass the two-meal rule, but this time is different.
You've not felt right all week. The first few days you chalked it up to stress or something off you ate, but the nausea doesn't get any better. It lingers. You finally just can't stand the idea of eating for a while. You tell yourself you'll eat when something sounds good again. Unfortunately, that puts your first refused meal at the time when Ari hosts a boys' poker night.
It's easy to excuse yourself to let the men have fun. You thought Ari wouldn't notice that you never touched any of the snack food and bite-sized eats around the kitchen and table, but he did. When you refuse his offering of breakfast in the morning, that's it; you're going in. Get in the car.
Ari doesn't care if he's in the room or not. He's not worried. The few times he's brought you to the doctor have been pretty straightforward, a mild infection, a nasty stomach bug that he surprisingly avoided getting, and food poisoning with enough dehydration to warrant an IV. He wasn't happy about any of those things, but they were easily manageable.
All those were after an incident with a cut on your leg. You went to the hospital for a few days. No big deal. Ari made a big deal out of it, and now he airs on the side of making a big deal out of everything. That was the one and only time he has not stayed with you (at least in the building) for the whole appointment.
So this time, after a relatively easy chat with the doc and a quick bit of blood taken, out you shuffle with gauze taped to your arm and a prescription in hand for an anti-nausea medication. You explain they are running a precautionary test panel, but the gist is rest, fluids, and these meds.
Good enough for Ari.
You're in decent spirits although you eat like a rabbit the rest of the day, and you call off work in the morning, not feeling quite right yet.
Ari goes to his job site but takes the first opportunity to leave early. He finds you sleeping, so he heads to work on your She-Shed out back, knowing the noise won't disturb you from that distance.
The doctor's office call wakes you. It's a short call that you stay silent through 95% of until the news, and you robotically walk to the front door, hanging up while the nurse is still speaking.
You see the truck, but no Ari in the house. Out back you stare daggers at him smoking while swinging his feet along a wooden ledge not yet finished with paneling.
Storming up to his side, you rip the cigarette out of his mouth and stomp it to the ground.
"WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT THAT?"
Ari is, of course, very confused because it's always been the rule that he can't smoke inside...but he's not inside. Before he can start to say that, though, you're yelling.
"Enough. You can't do this anymore."
"Can't what," he asks, jumping down to the grass. "You said it was fine--"
"It's NOT. It's not fine. Nothing's fine, Ari!"
You no longer look sick; you look upset, tears welling up in your eyes and hands wringing furiously in front of you.
"Honey, what's wrong? The smoke can't be bothering your stomach from all the way--"
"I'm..." You mumble something he can't hear.
"What?"
"I'm...fuck," and you finally break down into full-blown sobs, leaving Ari even more concerned.
"Okay." He lifts his arm to guide you inside. "I think more rest is in--"
"Preg--" you can't get the whole word out the first time "--preg...nant."
Well.
That's.
That's just. Not possible? That's...
"You're pregnant," he repeats, and you sniffle over a nod.
"Okay," he slowly says. "But you're on--"
"The pill, yeah." You wipe your cheeks.
"And we--"
"Used condoms until after I started. I know."
"But...so you're..." Ari can't figure out what on earth he was going to say there so he just freezes in place.
"Oh. Ah, I'm so sorry," you squeak out, clasping your hands over your mouth and nearly collapsing in tears.
He rushes forward to take you in his arms. "What--what are you sorry for?"
"I shou--I--done this to--not ready--" and then he can't tell if it's the word 'sorry' again or a clipped word with 'Ari' at the end. Either way, he's not making himself clear.
"Hey, okay, hey," he coos, supporting you in his hold while tilting your eyes to meet his, "you're okay. Are you upset because you think I'm mad or because you're scared?"
Your head moves up and down, lip quivering as more tears fall.
"Well, I'm not and you don't have to be, although I am a bit terrified and you seem pretty upset." He rubs your back while he pulls you in close, resting his chin over your head. Inside he really is floundering, but his voice sounds steady enough that he rolls with it.
He leads you to sit on the porch step and tucks in beside you. He reaches out a hand to wipe your cheek until your nostril flare and swat him away.
His hands and breath still smell of smoke. He immediately dreads having to quit entirely, but then he suddenly thinks he'll need his lung capacity to chase around a...wow.
Ari sighs and runs his fingers through his hair. "We do everything backward, don't we?"
"I'm sorry," you repeat, the words catching on bubbles in your throat, "didn't mean to."
"You have nothing to be sorry for, kid--I mean...not...shit, you're gonna need a new nickname."
You slap his chest and shoulder. "Is not funny," you whine.
"No," he agrees, "it's not funny," but something deep in Ari's gut is stirring. He's a bit confused, a lot baffled, and mildly proud. He can't help it. He's happy even though his concern for you is crushing his world down to the area of this one backyard, a porch with a rickety board he needs to fix ASAP, and his best friend, the friend who happens to be the love of his life, the friend who happens to be carrying the other love of his life.
Maybe Ari hasn't successfully planned a damn thing but, shit, has he gotten lucky. You like him enough to stick around. You love him enough to share your life. Now, all the cards for a full house have fallen into his lap, and Ari's never looked forward to playing a hand he's been dealt more.
He carefully plants a kiss in your hair so no (less) smell bothers you.
"'Old man' still works though," he adds softly near your ear.
You use your shirt to wipe your face.
He rubs your arms and back, asking to take you back inside. He needs to go to the bathroom.
Your huff of annoyance is adorable, and Ari's chest strains that much tighter.
"Not like that," he chuckles. "Have to brush my teeth so I can properly kiss you, hot momma."
Okay, maybe Ari jumps ahead too far with that one. Your sobs start anew, less pained and more cathartic than before, turning into a soft laugh. You swat at him again, ending up tangling yourself into a hug. He waits patiently a while longer before taking you back to the house for rest and reassurance.
Uh. Not sure I even saw that coming up until the moment I typed this out. Either way, I love him, your honor. I want one. Ari, not a baby.
