42's tastes would probably be more varied and just... like more developed in general bc he has a man who was more than likely a Part Of The Culture helping to raise him. aaron was out on the streets of brooklyn as a kid most likely swapping diy mixtapes and buying local rap cd's with his allowance/summer job money (assuming he was born like around 1978-1980, then he was most likely on the streets in the mid 90's during the Golden Age of Hip Hop).

not to mention that for aaron to even Do What He Does as the prowler, he is still out on the streets til this day, shooting the shit with fellow neighbors and shaking hands with black market merchants. he's dapping up store owners and trying to get on local gang leaders' good sides for intel. he's making connections! he is most def still swapping music recommendations with ppl in the hood and ordering vinyls online if he can't get his hands on them in physical brick-and-mortar stores

and music seems to be a super important thing to a man like aaron. that would definitely influence miles. interesting that i haven't seen more posts mentioning that actually!

Thing that baffles me about Palworld is now its been out a lil and people have explored it more... Apparenlty the whole slavery and animal abuse aspect which is *heavily advertised* as the quirky silly gimmick is... completely optional and often the worst way to play the game.

forever sick and tired of the way tiktok teens and society in general treat homeless people. yes, I'm sorry the man thats been violently rejected from society and denied his human dignity was rude to you that one time, but jesus christ please just have an ounce of empathy. homeless folks are, surprise, actual people, with personalities and preferences and dietary restrictions. homless people are allowed to not like certain foods. their control over their lives has literally been stripped away from them, atleast give them the choice of what they eat. all of the comments on this post are people fantasizing about harassing a disenfranchised person because he was mean. just because a homeless person wont play into your weird savior fantasy doesnt mean theyre undeserving of food or money or even just basic decency. always remember that we are all just a couple bad days away from being just like them, on the streets with literally nowhere safe to stay, being judged by well-off white women masquerading as progressive activists and expecting you to act like theyre mother theresa.

I’ve been seeing takes on Undertale’s genocide route on twitter, and I feel like a large majority of people don’t know what the route’s purpose is? Like at its core, the genocide route is a look at the way in which we consume media. The route is tedious and boring at times, and even Sans talks about this, saying “huh? you look bored.”

Because it is. The route has only two major boss fights, one of which is almost unfair. The rest of the route is spent walking around in circles to kill everything in an area and one-shoting bosses. Yes, the route can be emotionally devastating (especially when you kill Papyrus), but more importantly its not even entertaining.

And so the question is, why? Why do you keep going? Games are supposed to be fun, so why keep playing when a game isn’t fun? Sans says it best:

This is the true message of the genocide route. This is why the route HAS to be tedious, why you can’t fight Sans in any route but this one. Playing genocide isn’t about genuine experience, about being changed by media. It’s about mindless consumption, about our need to KNOW. To know what happens for no real reason at all. 

Sans tells you that he knows “you’ll keep consuming timelines over and over” because players completing genocide are usually doing it not out of any genuine choice, but for the express purpose to consume. Chara tells you “since when were you the one in control?” because people who finish genocide are slaves to their need for consumption, because any rational person would get bored and stop playing. 

“Let us erase this pointless world and move on to the next” reminds me of a sentiment that I’ve seen emerging more and more recently of people desperately jumping from fandom to fandom once a show or game is finished, due to some need to always be consuming something.

Undertale’s genocide route is a study on the current relationship between media and ourselves, and the dangerous culture that prioritizes consumption over actual connection. It is not enough for the route to make you feel bad killing the characters, because ultimately, they are not real - they are written constructs and code. But a players’ choice to keep playing when something is not enjoyable only for the purpose of knowing what happens, that, is very much real.

I wonder what ani and padmé would have been like as parents to Luke and Leia, and later grandparents to Ben. Like I don't have any great developed thoughts on that whole au concept I just do love the thought. Ben has so much impressive family, and a lot of uncles and aunts to look up to. If a lot of things had gone a lot differently, idk how, and padmé and ani got to grow older and stronger together, if Ben were to have his grandfather not only as a legend but as a person to hold him and tell him stories, I wonder what that would have been like.
