Mikey is a Epaulette shark

And Raph is a Scorpionfish!

so the audiobook ive been listening to is mongrels by stephen graham jones, and. listen. its one of the best realistic takes on what life as a werewolf in the modern era would actually be like and feel like, and i have a great respect and love for it even thus far.

but. but. i am entitled to a bit of nitpicking.

and its that they kind of laugh off the idea of a blonde werewolf by citing biology, that it wouldnt be able to hide or camouflage, which is just close enough to what a lot of armchair biologists like to cite at me when i do spec evo and its earned a chip on my shoulder.

like. leopards. leopards are a lovely golden color and they are the large cat with the largest distribution across a variety of habitats. jaguars are very similarly colored. jackals are often a lovely golden to blonde color. you get a lot of light brown to blonde coyotes. white tailed deer are also often very lightly colored, resembling a "dirty blonde". snow leopards are often more blonde or yellow than a lot of people will give them credit for. theres a LOT of golden and blonde animals that do VERY well in a VARIETY of habitats!! all of the habitats they describe as ideal for werewolves (currently in the south and southeast, formerly did very well in the north but left because they could be tracked in the snow, otherwise well adapted for snow) would also work very very well for blonde werewolves too!!!

Basically everything we see in RW is a direct descendant of heavily modified organisms, with a bit of a split between fully organic genetic modifiers to the introduction of foreign parts. This is undeniable. However I'm begging people to understand that nature routinely produces weird shit on its own and that's so much cooler than just 'anything slightly weird must be the result of modification and meddling in the process'

Please have some whimsy!!! bioluminescence!! Tool use!! Communication via static electricity! Electrical shocks as an attack method!! Beetles that spray caustic acid that can burn skin! Lizards that fire slime out of their tails!! These are all real things that are on this earth just because nature gets weird with it!

You play what amounts to glorified hide and seek with Espio (Modern Sonic; Speed Highway)

You try to avoid Charmy's pranks, which makes me wonder how Espio and Vector survive lmao (Classic Sonic; Rooftop Run)

guys ive been trying to get into birds lately. bc I wanna learn what the common birds I see outside in the yard are right. i even checked out 2 books from the library abt them (even tho google has so far been the best resource sdhkfjkh im TRYING) and GUESS WHAT. I went outside to sit and watch them and instead of JUST BIRDS i saw two lil chipmunks AND. a BNUNY!!! (i've been seeing this bunny for a While when ive been walking my dog, but I always have seen it at night and could never get a decent picture before now)
