The best part about the bingqiu epic-misunderstandings-era during the jin lan city arc is that it works so well BECAUSE luo binghe is genuinely scary and unnerving at times. I genuinely love that Death is portrayed in shades of green. She’s a part of nature, of earth. She’s the natural order of things. She is the original green witch. And her design beautifully reflects that.

AAA’s portrayal of death is such a unique and beautiful one. Her design, her backstory, her personality, it truly is a work of art. And the way Aubrey Plaza plays her is spellbinding and lovely. She’s fun and crazy, but she’s also somber, and desperate, and yearning. She’s an ancient force of nature, and she has a job to do, but she’s still a person. She’s not cruel, she’s not evil, she’s just Death.
