Kokichi giving Shuichi writing ideas

i love Kokichi constantly coming up with random creative shit, and i love the idea of Shuichi getting into novel writing, clearly i should mix the two for the worst best possible outcome

Shuichi gets into writing and he's pretty damn good at it, but despite this he feels like his stories aren't intriguing enough, like his world building is kinda missing some sorts of pop that'd really make it unique. what does he do about this? why he seeks guidance from the single most interesting story weaver he knows, his boyfriend

Shuichi was definitely expecting most of what Kokichi suggested to just be unusable jokes, but Kokichi shockingly actually took the request very seriously. he was more than delighted to be asked to help spice Shuichi's story up, and asked him to give him a few days to read what world building he does have and start sorting through some ideas. after a few days he dragged Shuichi over to his house and presented him with his whiteboard of ideas, organized by how far they strayed from the original concept.... and a small but present joke corner tucked in at the bottom- he couldn't help it it's in his nature

Shuichi ended up spending alot more time than he anticipated sorting through Kokichi's ideas with him, and made himself a mental note to start talking about his writing with Kokichi more often

this is an relatively old half-written little thing that was meant to be quick and easy but i never finished it because that's how writers do! it's a fantasy au because of course it is, i adore them, and it's basically eddie the bard taking part in a magic tournament while the whole party cheers him on and it gets down to eddie and some nameless opponent

There's only about five minutes of the pair's time left, and if one of them doesn't win this round, it'll be a tie. But Steve, staring at the smug face of Eddie's opponent, can't stand the idea of that man gaining any upper hand.

Eddie's eyes glance over, as they have done for the whole round, and Steve is struck by how nervous he looks, his eyes flickering and his teeth biting into his lip.

He hates it.

Eddie should never feel nervous like that.

They begin to cast spells again, throwing bolts of magic at each other, Eddie giving no commentary while the other man makes jokes and taunts. With a sudden bout of determination, Steve stands and leans forward on the fencing, ignoring Robin's hissed "What are you doing?!" and stares.

Robin always knows when Steve's looking to her and he knows when she's looking to him. He just has to hope Eddie will know too.

And then, as the two mages catch their breath and the entire crowd is cheering, Steve inhales.

"Come on, Eddie!" Dustin shouts as Eddie's eyes glance back over to them and Steve presses his fingers to his lips.

He blows a kiss.

Everything after that happens as though it's all moving through molasses.

Eddie blinks. His face turns pinker and pinker until it's almost red. The air around him fizzes, and the loose curls of his hair float up. His lips slowly stretch out into a grin and Steve just watches in awe.

the whole eddie lighting up thing takes direct inspiration from this scene in the peter pan movie because i LOVE the visuals, and eddie basically spins circles around his opponent and decimates him bard-style

after everyone congratulates him, he shyly makes his way over to steve and i never really figured out the rest but i imagine he'd either shyly ask for a kiss, which steve would gladly give, or he'd be all cocky about it before steve sweeps him off his feet

Just finished the main story + collectibles on Princess Peach Showtime, MAN this game is a delight. Easy but not in a bad way, it's still enjoyable because of the art and theatrics. Very creative bosses and well done animations. I'm so glad it's done Peach Justice. 😭

And there's a post game! I'll probably return to Unicorn Overlord now I'm out of an intense flare for a couple days first but excited to have a little more to play.

Sorry this is out of nowhere, but I just read your Ra'sTim ask and the mental link DamiTim ask in quick succession and then started cackling out loud because all I could imagine is Damian simultaneously not only a) having his feelings for Tim forcibly outed to the whole family, but also b) having to live with the detailed knowledge of Tim having been deeply intimate with his grandfather. In conjunction with also now knowing way too much about how both Bruce and Jason fucked Talia. Like, this boy is really going through it.

ljkhjghgjhkjlk i'm CRYING help this is so funny. unrequited DamiTim featuring Tim sleeping with Ra's is the funniest thing in the world and honestly a genuine idea i've toyed with before. but combining those two concepts is so fun and cursed. Damian having to deal with double the horror of Jason and his mother sleeping together and Tim and his grandfather sleeping together, while his own feelings for Tim are outed, honestly I'd just move to another planet if that happened to me. it's fun as a serious idea for the complexities and the layers of it, but oh it gives me a giggle. someone else in the Batfam has gotta take one for the team and fuck Mara al Ghul or Respawn or something just to bring it full circle.

My relationship with religion has been very interesting of late. I've recently begun praying to various deities from various pantheons and have had many interesting experiences because of it, but tonight as I reached for my Welcome to Night Vale mug to make some tea for my headache that (thank Apollo, is much better than it was) has been hanging around all day, ans had the sincer thought, "I wonder if I could pray to Huntokar or maybe even Cecil."

I paused at first, thinking it was a silly thought, but you know what? I just might try it. I have been enamored with Huntokar since she was introduced in the podcast and popculture Paganism is a thing, so why the hell not?
