i apologize for not getting to things here and doing stuff . it’s been a rough week due to sickness but do know i’m working on things in the bg like hc posts and such .

camus was a born altean , his family was of nobility but due to his mother passing at birth and his father dying to illness . a young camus was given up to a family that had a long history with his real parents . it turns out that the happy family he was taken in by , was grustean and so , camus grew up within the territory of grust . for my camus , this explains his strict and absolute dedication and loyalty to the nation where he grew up in . his full and real name is camus mikhail badeaux . his adoptive parents never kept him clueless of where he was from and they were family friends to his true parents , the people his parents trusted to care for their son . his name while growing up  ; however , was camus mikhail leander . when he was adopted he was the younger brother of a girl named evette sofia leander . she wasn’t too keen on a younger brother , a spoiled one she was . but as they grew up together , camus was a shy , reserved , quiet , and quite invisible to those around him . evette helped him out of his shell and they eventually became close and aimed for the future where they fight for grust . his sister is not aware of camus’ origins but all she does know is that he is adopted and was orphaned at young .

his origins were lost to the rest around him save for the very obvious people . so camus grew up happily with little stress , he learned to hunt , to defend himself , to fight with purpose and reason . he grew up to the man one will see today . someone loyal , determined , dedicated to cause , and someone who has a heart of gold . when he rose the ranks and became the leader of the sable knights , this was all through sheer will and motivation and love for the kingdom he was raised in . if he was to protect it , he’d protect it with everything he had to offer , if it wasn’t for him . it’d be for the two who raised him . his sister however , passed away after giving into her wounds when she protected camus out on the battlefield . arrows that were meant for him was intercepted and thus pierced the body of his older sister , one catching her neck .

this led to camus growing harsh on himself , he trained better , more and strengthened himself to where he would not allow his guard down and another life pass because of his mistakes . even if it costed him his freedom .

this blog will now be canon - divergent . so all headcanons and works done here will be heavily worked on by myself , and all ideas that are posted here belong to me .

document : the concept of tatiana’s death .

it is safe to say that it destroys him . he has lost many people close to him in his life , but never had one of those people been a lover . tatiana is special to him , immensely so , and he would do anything to keep her safe and out of harm’s way , even if it means giving up his right to freedom for her as we see in game . so the thought of losing her is suffocating and painful for him , the mere thought of it would cause anxiety . however , if she dies , camus would not be the same , that i can say for certain . it would be hard for him to move on , and at most , he would never truly be able to move on as she had such a heavy impact on him and who he is .

it is true that he ultimately disappears , never to be seen and can only be linked to fleeting sightings . camus becomes a more distant , cold and melancholic man . he keeps to himself and doesn’t deal or interact with people around him , at most is if he is passing through a town in need of something , and even then . most people do not recognize him and cannot truly confirm seeing him in the end , he’s become that of a ghost to those who DID know / fought alongside him . he is , essentially , considered to be mia after the war if tatiana dies .

camus is known to be quite the caring and gentle soul towards people he cares a great deal about . this is seen with the supports between him and tatiana , as well as their quotes together . when he returns to tatiana , it is safe to say that there is a visible change in demeanor . he doesn’t wish to disturb tatiana with the stories of his past as his past holds many dark , tragic , and unnerving tales . and he is sure that it would sadden tatiana should she know that his memories have returned . it is known that she harbors anxiety over this because she believes it would change who he is and she fears he would leave because of it .

but this is definitely not the case with camus . while he does regain his memories , this does not change the fact that he loves her , truly and faithfully . she is everything to him , she was the salvation he needed and she was the one who mended him and cared for him in ways that could never be replaced . she is his kryptonite . they live a quiet life together in a cute little village , many of the children that run around and play have taken quite the liking to tatiana for her soft and kind soul . while some shy from camus due to the distant and somewhat steely aura he gives off . but we all know it’s a habit he cannot get rid of , but this also doesn’t mean he is a cold man , no , he is warm and inviting , protective and kind . when one gets to know him , he’s that of a safe haven .
