No, actually. It is not “shaming Katara’s femininity” or her “maternal traits” to critique the ways in which her character was relegated to a the passive role of the Avatar’s grieving widow and largely ignored by the narrative post-ATLA. Oh my god, we are not “degrading” Katara by pointing out the sexist implications of how her character was handled and to suggest such a thing is just so…infuriating and very revealing of the underlying sexism in the fandom.
No thoughts, just people endlessly glorifying Katara’s maternal tendencies without bothering to question or investigate the adverse effects of her parentification. Apparently anyone who criticizes the writing of Katara’s character is just denigrating “traditional femininity” and THEY are the true misogynists! Not the male writers or viewers who consistently minimize Katara’s significance to the narrative and mock fans who ship her with anyone other than Aang.
Not at all, really we should just accept the conditions of the narrative uncritically and never question the biases of the creators. How dare we criticize them and point out the underlying sexism in their writing?

oh my fucking god dean had to carry cas' body to get him onto the pyre he had to carry all of cas' dead weight while the grief still clung to his shoulders he wrapped up cas' body himself and when sam mentions the meadow, he says it's where dean spread the ashes, excluding him and jack because dean wouldn't have let anyone else handle cas so dean had to be the one to carry cas from the house table to the pyre they all lost something in cas, a friend, a protector, a father, but dean lost half of his soul that night oh i am unwell and unstable with these thoughts—

a little comic i did for @pencildragons !
stuff under cut
^^^ without text, lineart, and sketches
basically obi wan left and went back to melidaan after the clone wars ended to essentially retire and cody and some of the 212th need to lay low for a while so they go and track down their former general. And they find him hands deep in dirt farming of all things, and theres this whole thing between cody and obi wan about how they fell out of the closeness they had when they were in war(theres a moon lit conversation that is in my head and not on paper I HAD IDEAS) and they miss each other, they really do, but they don't know how to function together without the war on their backs.
Now obi wan isn't only a farmer no no hes a busy boi, he also helps out at the local clinic/hospital because him having the force means it's easier to understand how people feel which means it's easier to diagnose the patients. So one day he's working and idk his neigbor or something knocks on his door, and the troopers that where living with obi wan are all like whos that, so cody goes and opens the door and it's just someone obi wan knows coming to ask him for some help, and that person is like who are you? so cody says he's a good friend of obi wan's and is visiting him, and that obi wan is at the clinic right now. The neighbor guy is like ok and goes to find obi wan.
And when the guy finds obi wan they go "obi wan i didn't know your boyfriend and his family is visiting" obi wan internally is going " boyfriend????" and obi wan goes along with it because it's a good cover for the clones. and when he gets back to his house he announces himself with "my dear im home" and he and cody bond via pretending to be a couple because it reminds them of having a mission. And with the whole fake couple thing they learn to be domestic with each other, and function together outside of a war setting.
Until the group of clones don't have to lay low anymore and they can go back to corusant. and both cody and obi wan are like, i should tell him i love him for real and they do and they live happily ever after :)

when people talk about educating yourself on the origins of ideologies like zionism, it isn’t to ask for sympathy but to show that fascism always hinges on the same rules - dehumanisation and other-ing of scapegoat populations in the pursuit of power.
fascism is, at the end of the day, uncreative and there is value in recognising the signs. When an entire ideology is dependent on the inherent depravity of a certain identity, it is worth some scrutiny.

I keep seeing people say that Kaveh and Alhaitham are incompatible and I'm just like... no u don't get it. They are so compatible that I'm convinced they're literally made for each other. They're both so incredibly stubborn but underneath all the bickering, they clearly have a ton of respect for each other and recognize each other's intelligence. It's because of both that mutual respect and their directly opposing worldviews and ideals that make them both pretty much the only people that are capable of influencing good and meaningful change in the other. Kaveh brings the empathy and artistry that Alhaitham needs while Alhaitham keeps Kaveh grounded. Alhaitham always seems so much more relaxed in every scene where he interacts with Kaveh. Alhaitham is pretty much the only person that Kaveh doesn't feel the need to go full people-pleaser with (excluding the occasional client that really manages to piss him off). They're actually perfect for each other.

Okay there's already that post that talks about the parallels between the previous scene with Thundercracker and the humans vs Starscream and the humans but this is the direct moment after that and. Ohh this is so good. Thundercracker let them go because they're fragile and can't physically hurt them, and Soundwave agrees on that but he knows that they'll tell what happened (considering how Soundwave was a communications officer, he probably knows how fast word travels better than anyone) so they have to die anyway. "Regrettable but necessary", it's for the greater good of the mission

Literally just got back to my hotel from the Frankfurt show and something I've been thinking about is like
In the conspiracy section they picked Wedding over Vegas, and Phil gave his usual spiel about how "do you think Dan would ever commit to anything"
But Dan's reply was something to the effect of, "I don't like to conform to society's expectations even when there's nothing logically wrong with it"
Ok so saying it would make complete logical sense to marry Phil. Cool. Got it
