safety and awareness post:
fellow minors in proship and propara spaces, please be careful. here's some pieces of advice to preserve your safety:
- do not interact with pro contact or "complex contact" MAPs. they will try to justify their stance, but it's all bs. minors can't consent, and that includes you.
- [this point was misinformed and biased against non-contact MAPs. i'm leaving this as a bullet point so it's known what the original issue with this post was]
- do not label yourself as an "AAM", it's completely normal to be attracted to adults as a minor and it's not a form of paraphilia, using that term only attracts MAPs who are looking for someone to take advantage of.
- do not post in detail about your paraphilias. you are inviting creeps to interact with and take advantage of you. keep it to yourself.
- to continue that, don't post any sexually explicit content, whether it be text posts or art. suggestive is one thing, but explicit is never appropriate.
- don't interact with adults posting explicit content either. if a blog says for minors to not interact, don't interact. if it says you can interact but to block nsft tags, block the tags.
- to continue, any adult who knowingly allows minors to interact with their explicit content needs to be avoided like the plague. chances are they have generally fucked up views about minors and their ability to consent.
- never post pictures of yourself. just don't. as accepting as the proship community is, it doesn't change the fact that predators are everywhere, and there can be people using the community to take advantage of others. if you want to post selfies, wait until you're 18.
- similarly, please just keep basic internet safety in mind. you do not know the random people you interact with on tumblr. don't give them your personal information. this can especially be important when in the proship community due to the amount of harassment you may face. don't make it easy for someone to find you.
--
all and all, keep yourself safe. being proship is about being anti harassment, and that includes protecting yourself from sexual harassment.

Oh, also, I really hope that this point isn't news to anyone, but if you don't already have a basic understanding of what it means to develop information security, now is the fucking time.
Critically, I want to see people being responsible in how they interact with:
A) the dissemination of information and the correction or disruption of misinformation
B) privacy related or personal data (of themselves, but ESPECIALLY of others who you could unknowingly harm)
C) pictures and visual media
D) your bodies: not a good time to start leaving traces of yourself where they shouldn't be, e.g. blood, saliva, etc
E) triangulatory/tangential information (you know that guy who can tell where you are by the weather descriptions? That's an extreme example very few people can pull off, but you'd be horrified how little info I need about someone to correctly interpret whole sections of their personal history and data)
F) other people. If you have never formally done so, find a conflict resolution/group facilitation class with a local organizing group or community college. Start learning what healthy boundaries (flexible, but neither porous nor rigid) look like for you. Pick a communication style to cultivate so you can be consistent in how you navigate stressful moments. Figure out what it means to you to share space with others with intention. (And yes, there is no one way to do this, but every one of us will need to find our most secure version, whatever that is, ESPECIALLY those of us who are already vulnerable here due to past trauma, neurotype, TBI, healthcare/wellbeing needs, etc)
I'm a really open book in a lot of ways, and yall might rightly look at that and go "butts you're one to talk about infosec"
And yeah. Yeah. But like.
I know what you know. I made those choices on purpose or at the very least addressed the aftermath of the accidents with intention. I also know what I did to be protective of myself and my info, and you don't know those things. You should know how to do them for yourself though, because it will help you understand why I can have done what I've done over the years and still say this now.
It matters what people know. It matters how easy that knowledge is to revisit. It matters how much of that knowledge is heresay vs documented and verifiable. It matters what contrary information is ALSO known. It matters what interconnected information about OTHER PEOPLE is known. It matters when you haven't said anything at all versus when you said a bit versus when you said a LOT. It matters when you say a lot without saying anything at all.
Information gathering is about putting together puzzle pieces. It's slow work, and it involves a massive amount of resources to do comprehensively and at scale. Information security is about making the gathering process not worth the investment such that the gatherers give up before they are able to put together enough pieces to do real damage. This is what "need to know" means.
For example, in a healthcare practice, it is a HIPAA requirement that access to protected patient info be limited to those who have a clinically relevant reason for accessing it. This means that certain system credentials or permissions will reveal varying amounts of protected information about a person. While one MIGHT be able to put together enough puzzle pieces for certain minor information gathering from early stages (e.g. where someone will be a the specific time of their appt), one likely cannot identify deeper and more vulnerable levels of information (who is the appt with and what is it for?)
This kind of layered buffer is most important when people who AREN'T PERMITTED (permited as in able to do without effective correction/consequence, not permitted as in legally or appropriately authorized to do) to access this info are trying to access it. If someone is permitted (e.g. if person with the appropriate credentials/access permission discloses it voluntarily or if a subpoena is ordered, etc) then the level of access is less protective - they will typically simply access the level of info they need if they will be permitted to.
But there are further layers still of information security. For example, you can tie up a LOT of time forcing authorized bodies to refresh and specify their authorization over and over again, each time appropriately only providing the exact level of disclosure they have required of you. The more specific the information they are looking for, the easier it is to bury so deep down that they literally cannot access it even if they are looking right at it.
I was taught to write documentation "like at any time it could be read out by the patient in front of you, or by another provider asking us to justify a treatment, or in open court by order of a judge". For a year, my supervisor had me write four copies of every piece of documentation I ever made. My personal copy (burned upon completion of the billable note), my "soft note" that removed all protected/identifiable information from the narrative (e.g. names, ages, genders, specific diagnoses/conditions), my "hardnote" which removed anything "heresay" which had been self-reported by the patient unless I could professionally verify it), and lastly my billable note which I understood needed to offer "detailed justificstion" for the used (and named) interventions which cannot be used to work backwards and interpret the originating care conversation.
The only note that ever gets read by anyone but myself is the billable, because they others are never retained long enough to be seen by others, even if they do have the appropriate access. It becomes very difficult for someone to use the hard data they are capable of getting from me, voluntarily or by force, to actually confirm context. This is a similar principle when orhanizers compartmentalize need-to-information.
So start learning what it looks like to cordon off each layer of infosec you're about to implement in your life. What it will look like to grant someone access to a new layer.
Be responsible. We protect us.

Ya know what…
I’m so tired of this crap. I’m tired of being scared and having nightmares. I’m tired of seeing people that I thought were friends post/share antisemitic shit/ propaganda and misinformation that hamas created. I hate having to be cautious about people and their intentions. I don’t like having to make a mental list of people that would help me if something happens- I don’t want to drag them into this shit show…
I hate that most of y’all are just sharing/posting misinformation/propaganda about this war. Y’all stop fucking getting your information from social media/and Hamas run “news sites”. Fun fact Hamas is in control of Gaza and certain news media’s. They can tell the world that Israel is doing so and so and y’all would fucking eat it up (and y’all do that). And don’t get me started on the fucking trauma porn- y’all are so obsessed with seeing those photos and pictures, and here’s the thing- no one knows if they are real/“posed”/ai generated and same with the “stories”… heck y’all even twist up the stories just to make Israel the only bad guy in this war…
Most of y’all don’t even care about Palestine. If y’all did why are you not condemning Hamas and their government? Y’all claim you want this to stop- Israel has offered multiple ceasefire deals but Hamas turns them down because they don’t fucking care. They don’t care that civilians are getting k*lled. Hamas end goal is to exterminate Israelis and Jews. They even admitted it but y’all were just turned a blind eye. Hamas is taking control of the narrative of this war and y’all are fucking falling for it…
I don’t trust anyone who uses Zionist/zionism as a slur, wishes death against Israel and their citizens, calls the IDF the IOF, those who turns a blind eye to the antisemitic shit that y’all are causing/or joining in on, chatting genocidal slogans, the list goes on and on….
You claim that y’all don’t blame Jews- just those “Zionist”. I don’t know how to say it but the majority of Jews are Zionist and a lot of us don’t want this war. (Also most of y’all don’t know what Zionism is and are spreading false information about it). Also stop calling Israelis terrorist. They are not- I’ve said this multiple times, citizens are not their government…
Blaming Jews for this war does make you antisemitic. Harassing Jews/attacking Jews/wishing death upon Jews/ cheering and supporting terrorist organizations that want Jews dead/ all of this plus more doesn’t help Palestine. But it does make you a raging antisemitic asshat. This is why we Jews are fucking scared and terrified. History is starting to repeat itself and y’all are contributing to it. Y’all wanna know why Jews are wanting to leave their home countries- because we don’t feel safe because of this shit that is happening…
I could keep going but I’ll stop. This is just me venting out my frustrations. I’m so frustrated that y’all are doing this. I’m tired and scared. If y’all don’t like this- I don’t give a damn. I said what i said. Just know that if y’all start spitting out antisemitic shit on this post- I will call you out and block you…
Am yisrael chai ✡️
And to those who lost people in this war and to those who were killed just because they were Jewish- May your memory be a blessing.

Alright, normally I don't talk about drama but at this point, I'm pretty tired of it, so I'll just get this off my mind, because it's not like I'll change anything, but YALL ARE BEING SO FUCKING WEIRD WITH THIS LANDO AND MAGUI BULLSHIT.
I've never looked into it, but I'm just trying to scroll on tiktok or instagram and every few weeks I just get like 10 posts like "oh, Lando is in *place*, guess who else is there?", or I'll get a random clip of Lando in public that seems perfectly normal, oppen the comments, and everyone is saying that he's carrying her phone or something.
I can not understand why people care so much, it's not confirmed weather they are dating or not, it's literally just fans making speculations that have gone so far there are literal people who think they are in a public relationship because of so many people posting them and saying that they are 100% dating. If you want to speculate, do whatever you want, I can't stop you, but please just stop spreading misinformation.
I don't know what they are doing, and I don't care, I'm just minding my own business and you should too, whatever they're doing just let them live their lives and be happy for them or fucking explode with jealousy or whatever the fuck quietly, because I'm sick of my recommended/home/for you pages just being flodded with this bullshit.
If you want to know what I think about them, tho: from what I've seen it seems like he doesn't even interact with her but she just keeps trying to chase after him, I saw on tiktok a few months ago that she posted a picture of her infront of his apparent building or something and dating or not, I think that's freakish behaviour, and I really think she should delete that if she hasn't already, atleast for his privacy if not her decency because that is making her look like a hella obsessed fangirl. Obviously, I didn't randomly start thinking and ranting about this, so I'll tell you that what made me do this if a reel that popped up in my instagram feed from a f1 gossip accont of them being spotted togeder at a new years party in Dubai. That clip is gross to me, because you can see him ducking away from the camera and it was even mentioned in the caption, and people in the comments were laughing because "oh, he's so ashamed to be with her" or that they were holding hands (to me, that just looks like he was holding her shoulder, some people also said that she grabbed his hand when he pulled it back but I didn't see that)
Honestly, whatever, if they're dting, good for them, if not, also good for them, people alredy ruined Landos last realtionship so I completely understand him wanting to keep this secret if they are, even tho she keep hinting at it, but maybe she's just an obsessed friend, who the fuck knows?
I also won't post that clip, because I can't download it and sharing the link could show my account, so I just won't do that, which is probably for the better, we should just respect his privacy, because none of us would like being recorded 24/7 and posted online, even if that is part of his job, just let him live his life off the track.
This might be full of typos, I literally can not be bothered to read through this and check so whatever, feel free to rant about this in my comments, reblogs, or my ask box, just don't go in my dms, I'm here to speak my mind, not argue.

i just wanna add to ur smau that boothill maybe leaves hate comments on ipc posts???? bc official hsr on hoyolab posted a pic about jade's timeline and there is an ipc ad featuring jade, under which boothill commented "Oh fudgin' wubbaboo, why's the algorithm recommending this to me! Fudge you!" idk what he's exactly like in ur smau but thought this is a fun fact to share :)
THAT IS SO FUNNY AVAVDBBASBDB ??? I HAD NO IDEA I NEED TO HUNT THAT DOWN
i honestly imagine that he doesn't really look at other people's posts much at all (obviously this is made suspect by in-game events but hear me out.) maybe he occasionally scrolls his front page if he's extremely bored in a circumstance where he can't practice shooting?
buuuuut he could totally see an IPC-sponsored post when he opens the app to post something new and he completely blows a gasket about it. he leaves a comment on it with a million different censored swears. someone screenshots it and the silvergun fandom once again loses their mind because there's absolutely no record of him ever commenting before that's known to fans.
a week later he comments on a post of Jade on some luxury starship and all he says is "💥💥💥" and naturally the theorycrafting quadruples. is this a threat?? a diversion?? some extremely weird flirting tactic??? everybody gets their answer an hour later when the starship fucking EXPLODES. Jade doesn't die but a literal shipload of IPC higher-ups couldn't get out in time. IPC shills start a movement to cancel him ("#NotAllEmployees !!! many IPC members are very charitable and kind and fair as long as you ignore the war crimes and the slavery and the "unconfirmed" political assassinations and the--") but 99% of the people posting under that tag are people making fun of the whole thing. the moderators ban the tag and issue takedowns for a ton of mocking posts for "misinformation." all of the mods are accused of being IPC sellouts.
he gets banned again and his next returning post is the first full-body photo he's ever uploaded. he's holding a MASSIVE classified (well. now declassified) IPC weapon in one hand and making a thumbs-up with the other. he's holding the fucking thing like a fish and grinning like a moron. 2 minutes later he posts a picture of the entire thing shattered to pieces. it kind of looks like it has bites taken out of it. suspiciously human-sized bites, in fact.
the new account gets banned in like 10 minutes flat but that was enough time for the pictures to be re-uploaded a million times. the silvergun fandom has an unprecedented resurgence because a fuckload of people start making edits and art and shit. RPF is made about him. horny RPF is made about him. inexplicable enemies-to-lovers RPF is made about him and Jade. he actually appears in the comments of one of those fics and leaves a death threat. the silvergun fandom enters a golden age of thirst. his comments and DMs are flooded with people giving him tips and info about potential next targets, many of which are fake but some of which are genuine. the branch of the IPC responsible for media control is frantically scrambling to get a hold on this insane phenomenon but no matter how many times they ban him he keeps fucking coming back. determining which one of the "silvergun#####" accounts is legitimate at any given time becomes an olympic sport.
and he just keeps posting nature pics like none of that shit ever happened. decoders lose their fucking minds trying to figure out the "secret messages" in all of his uploads. one of the most popular decoding accounts gets outed as being an IPC employee. he posts a video of a fish in a creek and everybody becomes convinced that he's signaling that he's going to visit an ocean planet. he doesn't. a gargantuan amount of shitty bigfoot-esque hoaxes pop up of people "seeing him" in various impossible places where the photos are conveniently blurry. the IPC wastes a truly insane amount of money trying to figure out if any of them are legitimate. the singular legit post completely flops because they had zero followers and used the wrong tag. boothill comments on it with "🤫😉" and literally no one believes that it's one of his real accounts except the original poster.

What's something about the soulsborne games that utterly enrages you (excluding difficulty or bullshit gameplay moments)? For me it’s the absolute mutilation of lore that mistranslation quite often causes, and specifically that one humongous error that somehow had “King of Alken” and “Queen of Venn” being translated to prince and princess respectively. Like. Seriously. (more ranting below this picture by IllusoryWall on Imgur btw).
Tumblr media
THEY DOWNGRADED THEM TWO ENTIRE NOBILITY TITLES HOW CAN YOU BE SO OFF WITH A TRANSLATION LIKE WHAT THE FUCK??? AND ON TOP OF THAT FUCKING GILLIGAN COMES UP AND MAKES IT ALL EVEN MORE JACKASS BY SPREADING MISINFORMATION CUZ HE CLEARLY HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE’S TALKING ABOUT I SWEAR TO JESUS.
Ok now about the Gilligan thing I’m not actually too mad, it makes sense that a random Volgenian scammer doesn’t know perfectly about events that happened in and around current Drangleic centuries prior, the real issue is, again, the mistranslation.
Why is it such a problem? Because if it wasn’t for the mistranslation, it would have been easy to put together the various descriptions (i.e Ring of Blades) the game gives us to come to the conclusion that the “King of Alken” is the Old Iron King, aka that one insane sadistic megalomaniac who built the Undead Purgatory.
And about him, here’s a fanart by Zarathursta on ds reactor of his wife Mytha and Lost Sinner (aka the Queen of Venn, explanation below the fanart)
Tumblr media
The existence of this fanart makes me happy because it means someone a long time ago did manage to figure out the actual story regardless of the mistranslation.
Nevertheless, the pretty much only candidate that makes sense is the Lost Sinner: she has a big ass cell and a powerful soul, reconstruction of the events follows.
These two (speculatively, supposedly) had a forbidden love story (Alken and Venn were sworn enemies since forever), Oik then proceeded to go insane, get really pissed at her (presumably because of something having to do with linking the Fire, Shalquoir tells us) conquer Venn and leave his ex in the cell we find her when we fight her.
This Romeo and Juliet ahh love story with a terrifyingly bad ending was hidden from us because some idiot at the localization team confused king and queen for prince and princess.
AND GODDAM. FUCKING. SCHOLAR. DIDN’T EVEN BOTHER TO FIX IT. ARE YOU FUCKING FOR REAL BRO.
And yes, Alken still exists during the events of the games, or at least its ruins do, it’s fallen but its territories haven’t been taken by anyone yet, likely seeing Mytha is still around to supposedly rule, as insane as she is, once again thank you goddam Gilligan for saying Earthen Peak is a part of Drangleic when there is not the slightest trace of anything Drangleic related in sight and there is A LITERAL QUEEN THAT IS CLEARLY NOT THE QUEEN OF DRANGLEIC. GILLIGAN FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

quickly, in re your post about asks:
probably somebody has already said this but i felt like it was worth mentioning. there's obviously nothing wrong with not donating to everybody who asks for help, nobody has that much money. there's also nothing wrong with being dubious, which is why vetting lists exist. the issue is that there are answers for all of the questions/concerns you raised in your post, all of which have been explained by vetters for the past year+. using simple tricks to guess if a message is fraudulent etc etc only works if nobody knows who the author is and if there ISN'T an explanation and. in addition to there being explanations, the gofundmes involved are on a list of verified ones. instead of checking, your first response was to leap to conclusions, make a post about this being a sweeping issue, and then continue to dig in your heels. genuine verified blogs of people who are in serious danger already have trouble staying afloat, and spreading misinformation may get these blogs harassed, erroneously marked as spam, etc. if you don't want to look into a blog to see if it's verified, i understand that you're presumably a busy person, but that does disqualify you from commenting on it. and it isn't right to potentially cause harm just because you're mildly frustrated by getting a lot of asks. i don't know if this is something you'll listen to me about, i won't check back in to continue the dialogue or anything, but i had to at least mention it. in the future, even if you feel like you understand a situation at a glance, if you don't look into it at all then it's very likely that you don't. doing due diligence is important
If you're not going to check in on a response, what's the point of sending this huge ask, lol?
one of the people I posted about is listed by a "verifying" blog (GazaVetters) is listed as a spam/bot account.
Tumblr media
How did I know that? Because I did the fucking due diligence of looking them up WHICH IS WHY I COMPLAINED TO BEGIN WITH. THEY'RE BOTS.
And people went "ooohhh but they apologized on their blog!" Funny, that. Because immediately after that apology they sent me another FOUR ASKS back to back, rapid fire. BECAUSE IT'S A SCAM.
Oh hey, by the way! Why should I trust GazaVetters is accurately tracking who is or isn't fraudulent?
1. Their vetting process is literally "send me a picture of you holding up a piece of paper that says gazavetters in front of your home/camp/tent" or whatever and their fundraiser link. And that's IT. If I can Photoshop an image in order to be vetted, then what is the rigorous process going on here?
2. And also, they have YET to reply to my concerned messages sent about the anons tying back to an account which keeps threatening to kill their children if you don't give them money?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's deeply fucked up! And they're saying NOTHING. Why? I've messaged them with the evidence and stated my concerns in a calm manner. But this is just unacceptable behavior.
And hey,
Tumblr media
What about this person, who tried to donate, and immediately they tried to steal their account information?
Y'all are being WILLFULLY ignorant about how scams on the internet work.
The asks I posted were spam/scams. Stop ignoring that part.

i wanna take a moment to say just how fucking disgusting brian peck and all his enablers/supporters are. that monster did horrible and unimaginable things to a child. not enough people are talking about his crimes and it makes me so angry.
for over a year that boy was suffering at the hands of this disgusting thing, no remorse from him, and honestly some smugness from looking at his fucking SO pictures he has to take. that nauseating smirk he always wears.
i said this in my last post, but the fact that people are still burying what that monster did is so disgusting and vile to me. youre seriously telling me that he served his time?? does 4 fucking months out of a 16 month sentence sound like he served his time???? even 16 months isnt enough. it shouldve been WAY more than that feeble slap on the wrist of a sentence. he was sent away with little to no punishment. he still worked on sets with kids he still even had JOBS at all. his career shouldve been ruined and he should still be in jail to this day.
yet that child, who later in life had his career ruined from something that had so much misinformation and untruthfulness in it, is still being shamed instead of brian, who is the CONVICTED p*do here.
you saying “oh but we care for victims” but then relentlessly attack a victim is so backhanded. no, you dont care for victims, you just want “perfect victims”.
theres no such thing as a fucking “perfect victim” though. every single person in this world makes mistakes. some people in this world make horrendous and disgusting and sickening decisions.
drake has made mistakes. i will admit that and say i hold him accountable for them. but the thing that people are missing is that he is also taking accountability. he continuously addresses his mistakes. yet people label this as a “PR campaign”.
make up your damn mind. you say you want drake to take accountability, but the moment he does you say hes doing that just to get his career out of the gutter.
what is it that you want???
i just find it so disgusting how people are so adamant about ending the conversations about brian that we need to be having.
im sorry but drakes whole story makes me want to throw up and sob. its all i cant think about. that shouldnt have happened to that little boy.

Questions 1, 21, 23 and 25 for Xiggles on that character questions meme (surprised if no one sent any about him already)
oagh thank you !! i havent received any asks for that ask game yet actually!
character ask game :o)
1. Why do you like or dislike this character?
[vibrating] i have a normal and countable number of things i like about him. for right now: hes representative of many of my favorite things about KH.
one of those things is its thematic depth—he has really interesting interactions with a lot of my favorite themes in the games, including identity/personhood, fatalism, authority figures failing those under their authority, also a lot of the Christian themes/motifs (and the ways those themes are played with), also the ways in which characters parallel each other or act as foils to each other. lotta stuff to dig into there!
another thing i like about KH is its sprawling, epic scope. and luxubar is present for or has a hand in nearly every single plot element in the games. call that bitch humpty dumpty the way he was always there
another thing that characters, like. fuck up? they make mistakes and are wrong about things. they lose sight of their noble goals or do the wrong thing in pursuit of them and end up being unable to achieve those goals. they spread lies and misinformation on accident or on purpose. and boy howdy luxubar has made a lot of mistakes and told a lot of lies. hes a complicated messy flawed character!
all of that AND he's Fucking Weird!!! just a fully bizarre person who says weird shit! even if you dont know anything about his backstory he's still one of the most memorable and fun characters in the series!
in terms of what i dont like about him. 99% of the things someone might criticize about him, i would respond with "yeah thats the point, thats why he rules as a chracter". but if someone said "i hate xigbar because hes a misogynist" i wouldnt even have a response. like yeah. he says some weird "haha girls am i right" shit in Days. i Dont like how he talks to Aqua in BbS. the only thing i could really say is "xigbar is a misogynist because he is in a game series written by misogynists and you have to correct for that" but i still kinda grimace every time he talks to or about a female character. really hoping thats not intentional and future games wont continue to characterize him that way
21. If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?
oh man i could give a dozen different answers for this...in developing his overarching story in my current fic, im really enjoying exploring the like. existential horror of his Whole Deal with the added wrench of "trans man in a cis man's body". no body dysphoria at the cost of total alienation from his body and from potential community with other trans people. unable to participate in conversations about transness; unable to explain why. especially since my other protagonist [oc lamia] is transmasc and has his own complicated relationship with gender and his own body. much too think about !!!
i dont really know how to answer the "what i dont like" part of the question lol...like i write fic as a way to explore a piece of media and its characters. saying something like "i wish he had [x] characteristic so i could do [y] plot thing" feels like saying "i wish this person im interviewing had said something different so i could write this interview differently". like idk! im doing literary criticism, effectively, my writing is responsive to the character, i just writes him like i sees him
23. Favorite picture of this character?
oh MAN i could give a million different answers for this.... right now im thinking a lot about this half second pose he has in DDD.
Tumblr media
just something very funny to me about seeing him giving a thumbs up. the supportive smiler.
25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?
ive answered this question here! relinking because theres a video clip involved lol. primarily my first impression of him was "evil little league coach". that was before i even played Days, he's REALLY an evil little league coach in that game. it's remained basically true for him to me this whole time.
now whenever i see him im just like "THE BITCH HIMSELF <3 <3 <3 <3 <3" and i kick my legs and smile and grin and clap and play.

I have complex and largely negative feelings about that man but that is king shit behaviour. absolutely fucking iconic. 12/10 no notes we are united in our hatred of misinformation.

i do not go out of my way to send hate or harassment to anyone btw. i do not send anons i do not reblog posts specifically to harass ppl.
what i WILL do and HAVE DONE A LOT is be an asshole to people on my dni who come into my house (my inbox/on my posts)
if you are not willing to respect my boundaries, i am not willing to respect you. plain and simple. i will not hear you out and i will not care a single iota about what you say because i specifically asked with my tags for you to keep your opinion to yourself.
on that note, and on topic with recent boundary breakers, i literally do not care about "misinformation" regarding the rq community. if you enter my house to inform me i am spreading misinfo about your community i am going to be an asshole to you. you are not changing my mind nor are you "correcting" me. i do not care about what you say is "misinfo", or if its "not every radqueer", the fact of the fucking matter is its enough rqs that ARE pro contact, pro harassment, pro CSAM, rampantly antisemitic, that the few of you who aren't that i have seen literally dont fucking matter in this picture. its like a drop of water in a barrel of shit. it does not change the contents of the barrel in the slightest.
anyways heres the "immature" gifs again, along with the tags, because wow shocker ive tagged my posts with the tags this entire time, its almost like rqs ignore boundaries on purpose

We can't really know, but to me, it looked like just Taylor messing around. However, I think that acting like it's weird/wrong of him to do that is an overreaction. They have mentioned countless times that they were always doing things to make the other laugh or tease each other on set. They knew each other's boundaries. They wouldn't do anything that would make the other uncomfortable.
Nicholas starts smacking him because it probably tickled, and that's what you do when you're being tickled in some capacity. But he pushes him off and says "go back to America" like he was still in character, instead of something like "oh fuck off Taylor". He was clearly playing along.
I am going to think positively and assume you're not trying to, but this is teetering on the edge of implying that Taylor and Nicholas have an issue with each other, or don't get along.
That is simply untrue, and there are people actively trying to spread this misinformation to create a rift in the fandom. The same people have been trying to say that Nicholas and Taylor don't care about RWRB or don't like it due to their lack of promotion, when it is due to the strike that is still actively going on. They legally not allowed to promote it without breaking the union's strike rules.
Both have still done subtle things to indicate their love of the project, like Nicholas posting pictures of him with blond hair from back when they were filming "for no reason", and Taylor setting up his Instagram to be only following Alex's official account. Nick posted a single red heart on either Twitter or Threads on the day of the movie's release. Taylor said he wasn't going to be signing things at the London Vogue event he participated in, but saw fans with the book and made an exception.
Like I said, I'm going to assume that it's not your intention, so I'll just say, please be careful with what you say with things like this, because those people will jump on any opportunity to perpetuate these lies.

Navigating media during war
Here are some tips to navigate the conflict without a paid subscription. Disclaimer, I am based in the United States and this advice is for people in the US. These tips may apply for all wars, but I wrote this with the Israel-Hamas conflict in mind.
My qualifications: I am a reporter who has worked on both local, state, national and international stories. I have covered breaking news, and have done enterprising news and investigative journalism. I will graduate with a MA in Journalism in a month.
Reasons to question my authority: I have less than five year of professional experience. I have never reported on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, or anywhere else in the Middle East. I speak neither modern Hebrew nor Arabic.
Moving on:
The best tip I can give you is pick a few good news sources and wait two days after any given event or incident before claiming to understand what happened.
In the United States, our news industry is incentivized toward breaking news, which means that organizations sometimes air information without having time to thoroughly fact check it. This becomes especially evident in times of war, when it is hard to obtain information and even on-the-ground reporters don't have the full picture of what's happening.
You are not going to find a perfect news organization. They're all going to fuck up in some capacity. If you have a strong stance on this issue, you're going to be more sensitive to those mistakes and real or perceived biases. (And, for the record, it is possible for one organization to hold multiple biases depending on the time of day, presenter and facet of the war being discussed.) That's why it is genuinely important to consume multiple news sources.
So if you're wondering why I chose these sources it's because a) they're free, b) they issue corrections when they're wrong and c) they do not engage in disinformation.
In no particular order: BBC, Reuters, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, AP. You should not rely on only one of these. You should fact-check these against bias sources that don't outright lie.
Now onto the sources you should avoid. Let's get into disinformation: What is it?
Disinformation is the intentional spreading of false information. It's lying. Misinformation is inaccurate information that is spread around, but not done with malice.
All news organizations have misinformation at some point. You should NEVER trust a news organization that engages in disinformation, about anything, unless several years have passed, the people responsible for the disinformation have been thoroughly purged from the group and they cite every goddamn thing they said.
The two big organizations I recommend avoiding because they engage in disinformation are Fox News and Al Jazeera.
Fox News lied about the 2020 election in the United States and actively contributed to an attempted insurrection. Al Jazeera is an arm of the Qatari state and has lied repeatedly about, well, just about everything of interest to the Qatari government, but especially Israel. They have made several highly consequential lies in this ongoing conflict that have had tangible, catastrophic consequences on the entire globe.
Advocacy groups are not news outlets.
Also, don't trust terrorist organizations. Yes, the UN, WHO, Amnesty International and pretty much every NGO under the sun and the vast majority of news organizations cite them, but that's not because they're reliable, it's because they're the only group releasing information from Gaza.
You shouldn't take the IDF at face value either, but if what the IDF is saying is verified by the US, EU and/or other reliable, third parties, then that information is probably true.
No news source is perfect. That's just a fact. I cannot stress the importance of looking at multiple sources.
Here are some things to look out for when watching/reading the news.
- If a news source is attributing facts to two different sources, ask yourself, "why?" Information is hard to come by. Sometimes one source doesn't report everything you want to know. But sometimes you know your source is unreliable, you don't have any alternatives, so you want to distance yourself from that. What does this look like?
You might see people cite two sources to report death counts in Gaza: the Palestinian Health Ministry, which is run by Hamas, and Save the Children which analyzes information about the number of children killed. Save the Children gets the estimated number of deaths from Hamas.
- Does it make sense to have this information at this time? If there was an explosion and a government states that 500 people died in it, well, how much time did it take them to count those bodies? Does that sound feasible?
- When you're listening to eye-witness interviews, do their perspectives or narratives match up with the physical scenes you are seeing? They might not be lying, it could be a miscommunication, but for the context it is presented in, it might not be accurate.
Language to look out for:
Occupation, blockade, siege, war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, ethnic cleansing, legitimate military targets and apartheid are all distinct things. All of them, with the exception of apartheid, have specific legal definitions. If people are using these things interchangeably, maybe they're sharing opinions. That doesn't mean that what they're saying isn't valuable, but it does mean that you probably shouldn't cite them when debating international law.
Now let's elaborate on "occupation" for a second. Egypt occupied Gaza from 1949 to 1967. Then Israel occupied Gaza until 2005. In 2007 Israel started the blockade on Gaza and last month, after the 10/7 massacre, they started a siege. As noted above, these are distinct things.
If people are talking about occupation or settlements in the context of this conflict it means either one of four things:
- They are talking about the West Bank, which is under occupation and where settlements do exist
- They are talking about the history of Gaza pre 2005
- They do not know that Gaza isn't under occupation and that there are no longer settlements there (which means that they are not an informed source)
- Or they assume the entire Israeli state is occupying Palestine which, whether you like it or not, is not factually or correct
Just because something feels wrong doesn't mean it is illegal. Occupations, blockades, sieges, the use of white phosphorous and bombing areas where you know there are civilians are all legal in certain contexts.
Legality might not matter to you personally, but when you're watching the news and trying to assess who is sharing facts and who is sharing opinions, you should keep this in mind.
Other notes:
- Rockets need fuel. Ventilation systems in tunnels need fuel.
- Movies and tv shows are filmed in Gaza and the West Bank. If you see a photo of someone in a body bag texting or women laughing while painting a baby doll red, it might be a behind-the-scenes video from one of those things.
- There are a lot of AI generated pictures being used, especially in propaganda. Count fingers, arms, legs and look at backgrounds to see if what you are seeing makes sense. But for the love of god, if you don't like something, that doesn't mean it's AI.
- There are a lot of photos circulating from past wars. Be careful before you reblog. Reverse Google image search is your friend.
- If you are not sure if something is real or not, wait a week. If the US, EU and dozens of journalists say it is true, believe it.
Finally, social media. When is it appropriate to use social media for news?
News aggregates are usually okay. I'm talking places like r/worldnews. They are pulling from other news organizations, so they can repeat those flaws, but they give you a mix of headlines from multiple sources. And they'll very often post large parts, if not the entirety, of articles from sources from the New York Times, Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal that have paywalls in the comments. But also beware the comments because they can be disgusting.
Social media is also very good for sharing the individual human experience. The issue with that is that you can't always vet the person on camera or being spoken about, so they could be lying, spreading misinformation and it isn't the whole picture.
This needs to be said again and again: social media dehumanizes people. You know this, but you will fall victim to it anyway. Your algorithm will do its best to show you the best versions of the people and groups you like, and the worst versions of the people and groups you don't like to make you feel justified in adopting dehumanizing beliefs.
For anyone interested, I'm going to update the list of news sources I think are trustworthy in the next few days. I've found a few small, independent and/or foreign outlets that use open source intelligence (OSINT) in their reporting and they seem pretty reliable to me, but I want to vet them a bit further.
EDITED: Removed the name of a news organization that I previously said I thought was reliable. They did not issue a correction after uncritically repeating Hamas's lie that the al-Ahli hospital parking lot bombing was an Israeli airstrike that killed 500 people, and spent days repeating these false claims as if they were fact.

moonlighthope lied?! Jesus :(
I don’t know what to say. I feel so hopeless now since she lied… I thought her photos were real too. Someone google searched them to be safe and apparently there were no matches so it seemed legit.
I don’t understand why the hell she would lie. I had so much hope for the void state and was so happy for her. now it’s all gone again….. . I just want to cry.
i have no idea !!! ^^;; i don't wanna spread misinformation when i don't even have proof myself that there was untruthfulness on her part, i believe her tbh but ig i can understand why folks have their reservations about certain things that were said—
it's unfortunate that this happened, ye, but ya shouldn't use other people's situations to hinder yer own growth. the void's real, 'cause the void is you.
are ya real? cause if ya weren't, ya wouldn't be sendin' in this ask to me rn. it's ok if yer disappointed or sad, but imma need ya to take a step back afterwards and remember that anythin's possible so long as ya make that true to yerself. just cause somethin' ain't workin' for someone else doesn't mean it ain't gonna work for ya, that's just not how life goes.
i think the only reason why folks are so funky 'bout this situation is cause of the picture proof, when in reality we got plenty of void success stories from anonymous folks or other blogs in general. plenty of people have succeeded to tap into their god state, not just this one person, she ain't supposed to be put on some kinda pedestal simply cause she may or may not have accomplished somethin' that ya haven't yet experienced.
but heres whatcha wanna do--- create yer own proof. ya don't need proof from nobody besides yerself, cause at the end of the day, ya wanna live on creative mode so yer gonna have to take the steps ya need to take in order to take that power back. i don't give a fuck if ya say it's hard at first, yer just gonna have to keep goin'.
don't be sad, use this as motivation to create the truth and the proof ya want and crave. the world is yours to craft however ya want it. when ya have yer dreams and look back at yer spilled tears and moments of stress like this— yer gonna forgive yerself for doubtin' what ya could do in the first place. what you're feelin' right now ain't gonna be permanent unless ya decide to fall back into the victim mentality.
here's a hand ✋, imma pull ya outta that hole you're tryna fall back into. it's time to stop lettin' life beat yer ass and take control over it again, and I don't care how many times ya fall back in that hole, ya better crawl yer ass back outta that fuckin' ditch and keep goin.' stop letting life happen to you and stop accepting what ya don't want.

"I truly hope you never encounter someone who’s been a victim of assault where their abuser was someone others found attractive or charming. It’s hurtful and dismissive, and it’s a dangerous mindset to have." What a holier-than-thou, hypocritical, braindead take to have as someone who dismissed victims' upset and defended people's lies about how a canonical victim of SA Rhysand wasn't raped because oh no he *wanted* despite BLATANT text showing he was forced for just because you hate a character and lie to yourself to feel morally superior.
Do you have any idea how delusional you sound? You literally lie and twist canon SA to defend people mocking it and likening it to "sex workers" who can't get raped apparently and oh "rape isn't emotional abuse" because you hate Rhys... and then go off about real world issues for SA not in the books and then condescendingly say it's because people think someone's "charming"...
Maybe like your hypocritical ass thinks Rhys sucks so you invalidated his canon SA? Maybe like your two-faced lying ass defended the posts that say rape isn't emotional abuse and sex workers can't have it happen and Rhys asked for it???
I hope YOU never actual encounter a victim of assault given you're a victim blaming liar who twists real world issues to suit your strange obsession with hating the main characters of a fictional series you clearly haven't read or at least fail to grasp the basics of it and its characters.
You have such a "dangerous mindset" and lack basic understanding of your hypocrisy and obsession with twisting things to demonize fictional characters because they're your faves or not ig??? Is that excusing behavior because it "charmed" you.
To quote you: it's hurtful and dismissive.
(and also dumb as fuck. you're too far up your own ass to reflect but before worrying about fake fictional SA maybe look within and gain basic reading comprehension and step away from the condescending hypocrisy that apparently gets you high off a fake moral superiority that you clearly lack)
You're revolting
I’m honestly so tired of seeing paragraphs and paragraphs accusing me of invalidating Rhysand’s SA. I’ve read these posts again and again, and I want to clarify something: no, I did not invalidate it. It’s frustrating because people keep twisting my words. I’ve never said Rhysand’s experience doesn’t matter or that it didn’t happen. I’ve always acknowledged and believed that Rhysand is an SA victim.
What I did say is that I apologized for the harm caused to innocent people who got hate and death threats based on misinformation. I’ve been clear about that. I have never defended people who spread hate or malicious accusations. So can we please stop acting like I’ve done the opposite?
I have always taken accountability for my mistakes, and it’s tiring to be misunderstood when I’m just trying to have a constructive conversation. Please, read the posts carefully, because my stance has always been about supporting victims, including Rhysand, and clarifying things for the sake of everyone involved.
I’ve apologized to all the people I believe were affected by my actions. Yes, some people actually did say things that were harmful, and in the past, I might have jumped to conclusions. But here’s the thing—I didn’t have all the information back then, and that’s on me. I’ve acknowledged that I accused people without knowing the full picture, and that’s where my mistake lies.
I owe an apology to the people I wrongly accused, especially those I believe are genuinely innocent. I had no idea at the time who was truly involved or what their motives were. But now I know better, and I’m owning up to that mistake.
What I won’t apologize for, though, is still apologizing because even if someone said something that I don’t agree with they still got death threats, and hate. And I am against that in ALL ways. I made accusations based on the limited knowledge I had, and I deeply regret that.
From the way you’re talking, it seems like you’re coming from the post I made when I said that people shouldn’t excuse Rhysand’s SA just because he’s hot. I’m sorry, honey, but if that’s what you’re mad about, get a grip. Yes, Rhysand is a victim of SA, and I’ve never denied that. But let’s not ignore the fact that Feyre was also a victim in this situation, and Rhysand did commit SA against her, too.
It’s frustrating when people try to make one aspect of the situation more important than the other. Both Rhysand and Feyre’s experiences matter, and the harm done to both of them should be acknowledged. So if you’re only focusing on one side of the story while disregarding the other, it feels like you’re missing the point entirely. My stance has always been about holding all parties accountable and not letting anything slide just because of someone’s appeal or status. If that bothers you, maybe it’s time to take a step back and reconsider the whole picture.
I just want to clear something up about the artist who was getting hate for their drawing. The piece depicted Rhysand’s hands not just touching Feyre’s waist, and for some reason, that sent people into a rage. Let’s get one thing straight—I wasn’t defending any sort of harmful behavior, but I was responding to the hate the artist was getting for simply creating a piece of art. Rhysand SA’d Feyre—it’s not up for debate, it’s a fact. If you look up SA and what he did to her, it’s right there in black and white.
So, please don’t throw a fit or try to act like I’m excusing anything just because I stood up for an artist being bullied. What I’m doing is calling out the inconsistency and double standards when it comes to acknowledging SA.

idk about you but I love getting my opinions on one of the titans of English literature from a barely post-pubescent 20-something child on tumblr, a website famous for having users with great reading comprehension, critical thinking and no impulse whatsoever to fall into purity culture nonsense at the drop of a hat. I also love the English courts of law, and anti-sodomy laws, and I immediately and uncritically trust them when they accuse a gay man of being a pedophile. There is nothing wrong, childish or immature about this and I don't need to grow up
PURITY CULTURE??? PURITY CULTURE?????? Oh my bad folks I didn’t realise grooming 16 year old boys as a 30-something year old man was just rebelling against purity culture. And for your information, I’ve done plenty of research into anti-sodomy laws at the time of Wilde’s trials, and I’ve also read multiple sources of shorthand translations of the proceedings of the trials themselves, and anyone with two brain cells could tell that the way Wilde spoke wasn’t the way an innocent man would speak, and the evidence compiled against him was overwhelming, regardless of any bias the court may have had. True, the bias in question is fair to bring up and discuss, but it doesn’t negate his extremely likely guilt. It’s extremely unlikely that the man was innocent, from the evidence itself to Wilde’s tone during his “defence”.
Some sources:
The Trial of Oscar Wilde: From the Shorthand Reports (1906)
“In 1895, the playwright and wit Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) was prosecuted for 'acts of gross indecency' with other men. Parts of his trial were covered in newspapers of the day, but because of British censorship laws, this fuller account was not published in English until 1906.”
–The British Library official website (bl.uk)
famous-trials.com, compiled by Professor Douglas O’Linder from UMKC School of Law, mostly aligning with the shorthand translations of the testimonies from the prior source referenced yet with a few details not included in the 1906 publication to my knowledge.
https://www.famous-trials.com/wilde/327-home
Of course, everything has drawbacks, everything has a grain of salt, not everything is fullproof, there’s room for argument everywhere and of course the two sources I linked there aren’t fully enough for a big picture, and context of the time, surrounding impact, further accounts etc should all be looked into — however, in weighing up the evidence and legitimacy of sources and conflating information on all sides, personally I’m ridiculously extremely confident that Wilde was guilty, and I think the fact that this isn’t really widespread historical information is ridiculous.
You’re right, you shouldn’t take things you see on Tumblr as full proof undisputed fact. You’re right, Tumblr is a hellhole a lot of the time for misinformation and bad literary comprehension and analysis. But that doesn’t mean anything you see anywhere is objectively wrong, and you should do a small molecule of proper research and critical thinking from seeing those posts before spouting bullshit.
And for your information, I’m both queer and Irish myself and shockingly the fact that one of the major idealised queer figures for my country is a rich 19th-century-Narcissus pedophile creep, and nobody says jack shit about it, makes me pretty fucking pissed! Surprisingly!
“Purity culture” catch yourself on lad what in the fresh fuck are you on about. I’m in the age range for the wee boys Wilde fucked, surprisingly if I heard one of my friends was meeting with and having sex with some rich fuck old enough to be their da I’d be pretty fucking concerned I’d be calling cps bro 💀🙏
