You’d tried to hide the pregnancy test, but the Zoldyck’s army of servants were thorough. So, when Illumi found out that you were pregnant, he was pleased. Not excited, no. Such a strong emotion was useless to him even in this situation. Though, he was pleased to know he’d have an heir. Even if Killua never returned to the family, or never let any future children near them, at least Illumi, as the eldest child of the family, had continued on the lineage.

In contrast, when he went to congratulate you on the good news, he could tell from the muffled sobs through the door of the bedroom you shared with him that you didn’t share his opinion. Which...he left you to without a sign of his presence.

Why? He didn’t really know. He’d married you due to your family’s skill and aptitude with Nen, so it wasn’t as if either of you had much love between you. And, you’d made no mystery of how you hadn’t worked to build that love either. Yet, as cold as Illumi was, and how all of his affections to you were nothing but the necessities of his title, he’d left you to your tears with no punishment or anger.

The pink-haired man hummed as he thought back to the plastic stick that he’d spotted in the bathroom trash. To be fair to them,He mused as he strolled out to rejoin his lover in the bed where they laid asleep. Maybe it was a friend’s, and considering how little I’m here, if they are pregnant, it’s probably not mine.And with that thought, he settled back into bed and put his arms behind his head. His pale yellow eyes stuck on the bedroom ceiling.

Yet, he didn’t go to sleep. Instead, Hisoka laid there and continued to think back to the two lines on the pregnancy test he’d found. Questions in his head regardless of his initial dismissal. Why would they leave the trash in there if it was a friend? Did a friend take a pregnancy test without telling them? Was I somehow meant to spot it? It was somewhat close to the top, and I’d think if they didn’t want me to know, it’d at least be buried. What if it is my kid? Do I want a kid?

After about ten minutes of the lazy nightly soundtrack, Hisoka ran his hand down his face and pinched the bridge of his nose as he made a decision. No. Absolutely not. God, being tied down with a child? Absolutely not. Children are just too boring. Yet, at the same time, another part of him offered, But, the strength a child of mine could have would be interesting… But, he shook his head. No. Too long of a wait. Too GROSS of a wait. If the child is mine, it has to go.

Chrollo “What?” The ravenette asked. His words dumber than the criminal was. Which, earned him a small spark of amusement in your eyes as you reiterated, “I’m...pregnant, Chrollo.” And the word hit his thoughts like a well-aimed pool ball that had his thoughts bounced against the walls and each other in chaos. Until, finally, “Pregnant…” came out of his mouth. Which, got a small laugh out of you. A laugh twinged with your anxiety, which Chrollo couldn’t hide that he shared. So, he trusted you could understand as his next words came out. “I-I’m sorry, my dear. But this is a bit much to be told. H-how did this even happen? I thought we were very careful.” “I’m not sure,” You admitted, a couple of tears in your eyes, “I suppose I didn’t wait long enough for my new IUD to kick in before he slept together. Or maybe it failed?” You shook your head, and Chrollo just let out a slow breath as everything began to sink in. “Alright.” He hummed, his hands soon on your shoulders to supply some comfort as he continued. “It’ll be alright. I’m not mad, just surprised. So, I think it’s best if we discuss this a bit later. When the shock for both of us has ebbed, alright?” He suggested, and you nodded at the reason and hugged him. “I’m sorry…” “Don’t be. I should’ve used a condom as well. We’ll handle this.” He assured with an affectionate kiss to the top of your head. His complex feelings a nest of snakes in his own chest as he did his best to comfort you.

I want to jump in on the charles tism conversation!!! As someone with autism, I generally find the ones with the allegations are typically the ones I relate to the most so I can see where they are coming from as I share a lot of behaviours and attitudes with them. However, this is more so restricted to those most commonly called autistic as I have seen every driver called various degrees of neurodivergent and yeah none of them are exactly typical but only a few of them would easily meet the criteria. I think more of them lean towards ADHD if anything. I don't personally find Charles to be particularly affected by the tism but I do very much see Lando being AuDHD with his chaos but also sensory concerns. Max and Oscar definitely more so leaning to autism but with Max there is cultural and upbringing elements which could have caused some of those signs. Lewis obviously has ADHD and that's 100% correct. George is interesting because there's such a difference between who he portrays himself as vs child him and that could be masking or it could just be growing up a bit awkward. If George is neurodivergent (autistic?), then Alex almost certainly is because it's easier to have strong friendships with other NDs but more ADHD leaning. I adore my ADHD bestie. And also have 1 single NT friend. I am going to stop there because this got completely off topic from the short message it was supposed to be so I won't analyse all the drivers for fun but I'm curious to hear more of your opinions on Charles (Max too but that's kind of a given on f1blr when autism comes up 😭).

Charles: agree with him being only ADHD, he doesn't seem to struggle in social settings, and doesn't seem to have many sensory concerns. But he deals with negative spirals/racing thoughts probably one of the most out of anyone on the grid, he's messy and disorganised, and he's CONSTANTLY dopamine-seeking by being an adrenaline junkie or taking up a new hobby.

Max: as much as I'd like to blame the Dutch of it all, I think the autism is pretty apparent that even NTs catch onto it. He's very blunt/literal, has set phrases/preferences (his safe drink is G&T? discuss), is constantly filmed wincing and covering his ears in the garage, is a certified #loser in social situations/small talk, and is obviously (like all of them) hyperfocused on racing to the exclusion of all else.

Oscar: all the Nicole Piastri interviews are enough for me, his inability to express emotion normally yet obviously feeling deeply (the story she told on the red flags podcast about her falling off her bike and him being completely deadpan but then his heart monitor later revealed his heartrate had gone up to like 200 bpm or something ridiculous) , him telling his mum he wants to be a car when he grows up, the constant naps on a race weekend to avoid overwhelm. There's certainly a touch of the 'tism in my humble opinion.

Lando: so obviously audhd. The sensory issues/constant stimming, impulsivity, and hyperactivity, him falling asleep everywhere on race weekends (easy way to go non-verbal and recover from overwhelm....isn't it), his social and generalised anxiety that probably arises from constant masking, him constantly saying he "feels too much" and "cares too much". Very undiagnosed, very strongly AuDHD.

George: I'm leaning towards yes with him probably being the strongest at masking of them all. The powerpoints of it all.......he has a cadence some have said they find weird and off-putting, and him and Max are just ASD on ASD violence which makes perfect sense, actually.

Alex: maybe ADHD but honestly there's also a chance he's the token NT friend who has been around ND people for so long he prefers them.

OOOOUGHH AAAAAA ABSOLUTELY

i always suck at giving hcs off the fly, but here's some i've thought up of before and like to think about instead of sleeping :333 (be warned that they're all pretty vanilla lolz. my hcs are basic. i just like my blorbos.)

Lawlight hcs:

blorbbooo tiiimmeeeee :33 - i personally really like fluffy lawlight things, but a lot of those are usually for aus and everything (since i can't see them being very fluffy in the normal death note plot). but i like to imagine them having stupid teenage-like crush moments with each other. like maybe during the yotsuba arc or something, L wants more sweets but watari is already out doing something, so his dramatic ass is just whining about "oh woe is me....... there's nothing in the vicinity for me to munch on......... how will i ever go on......." and then to get him to shut up, light begrudgingly either bakes something for L (which could probably lead to a lot of silly shenanigans with stupid dorky smiles before light immediately takes it back and starts bickering with L again), or light convinces L to go buy some sweets from a bakery in town (and then L gets distracted because there's multiple sweet-filled stores and his greedy ass has to try all of them so now they're essentially just going on a date trip around all the sweet stores in town). - also to add onto that last bullet, there's this one fic i just read last night that was so stupid and adorable and i loved it. it's called "You can't have my name, but you can have my number" and i recommend checking it out if you like short and sweet fluffy fics. :] (and if you want more fluffy fics, go read everything @rawrlight has made. his fics are so fucking good please read them i am obsessed with them actually pleasepleasepleaseplease) - L is surprisingly good with kids and light won't admit it but he's kinda into it. - L nonchalantly shares food with light and light totally overthinks the shit out of it. - they totally pick at each other for everything. light picks at L for every unsanitary thing he does. L picks at light for having an unnecessarily long and complicated hygiene routine (i like to imagine he has a shit ton of hair and skincare products). anybody who walks past the bathroom while they're in it is bound to hear non-stop bickering. (or, if you really wanna match my freak, have matsuda open the bathroom door while they're getting ready only to see them in the middle of a fight. whether the pose they're in looks compromisingly homosexual is up to you my dear sillies).

uhhhhhh and that's all i can think of for now. awww zoinks.....

L angst hcs:

ooougghhhh buckle up boyz... it's angsty tism time..... - i don't think L was ever good at making friends (this is very much a projected headcanon but shshshshshsh ignore that). despite being insanely intelligent and pretty damn good at whatever he sets his mind to, i don't think he ever got the hang of making deep, personal connections. and i feel like he wants to. throughout his whole life, maybe he wanted to make friends but it always just fell flat. maybe as a child there were times where thought he had made a friend, only to realize those feelings were not reciprocated. despite everything he tried, he was just never "human" enough to seemingly make all those lasting connections that he analyzes so deeply. and i think he probably gave up on trying at some point. and all of this is why i feel like his connection with light is so important. even though he knows it'll end in tragedy and that he will die by light's hand, he still can't help but feel... a little more human with light. and i think he'd risk death in order to feel like that one more time. - i don't usually like reading/seeing heavily angsty stuff, but i remember seeing somebody headcanon that they thought L went through solitary confinement as a child in the wammy house, and i always thought that was interesting. i'm not gonna expand on it though since heavy angst isn't really my vibe. (i love making my blorbos suffer, but not too much.) - yeah most of my L angst is him just being incredibly lonely. in the sense of "he doesn't cry about it (he's probably only cried once in his life and that was probably as a very young child), but there's always been some missing piece in his heart that just can't ever seem to be filled". - actually-- loneliness and his inhumanity. that's what i fuck with the most. though they kind of intertwine, so. yeah i kinda just sound like a broken record atp but sshhhhhhhhhhh it pays off (sometimes) i swear. - he also has a lot of religious trauma in my eyes (again, projection). i know he's not religious or anything, but i feel like he'd fit that song "Dear God" by XTC a lot. - oh and he also sulks a fuckton. he doesn't cry, he pouts and goes to stand in the rain while reminiscing on old memories. that's what his emo dramatic ass does and i fucking love him for it.

that's all i can really think of right now. hopefully that's somewhat entertaining. most of my headcanons are very basic compared to other people i've seen, but they are still special in my heart. :))))

So part of this is sharing the ships I've narrowed down as the ones I want to include in a fic, another part is asking for advice. I'm mainly focusing on batfam, but if there are any non-batfam ships you think I should keep in mind when writing it, feel free to suggest.

Bruce Wayne/Selina Kyle: Batcat I am not against Brutalia or Superbat, I just like LoisClark and Single Mom Talia tbh. Selina is an interesting foil to Bruce as she started off as a Thief. I like the Bruce/Oilver as a collage or boarding school fling.

Dick Grayson/Koriand'r/Barbara Gordon: DickKoryBabs So, Dick is probably the fruitiest member of the bat family, but I find the idea that he's the token straight in the family. Also Kori and Babs feel like they come together very well but I definately need to study their personalities more.

Jason Todd/Roy Harper/Artemis of Bana-Mighdall: Joytemis? JayRoyArt? I like the idea that Jason sortof ended up getting a redhead preference imprinted on him by Dick's choice of company. So, as a normal batfam fan, I also don't know much about Roy or Artemis's personalities so more to study I guess.

Tim Drake/Stephenie Brown/Conner Kent/Cassandra Sandspark: TimKonStephCissie? TimStephKonCissie? Tim seems like the sort of nerd to stumble into a poly relationship and get roped in, he's not sure how he got there but they're all charmed by his tism. I do feel like Steph should have joined the team with Tim or gotten her own team at the same time. From my limited knoweledge, it does feel like they leave the batgirls out of the teamups. I might get a bit of flak because I'm not sure about Bernard, like its a cute ship, but I do prefer relationships betwen Heroes. Civilian ships do often make characters feel more grounded though so I get why people like them. I wonder how acceptable using Kon's young justice characterisation is for this? I get it's not the same as the comics. I don't know much about Cassandra Sandspark though, so another reasearch topic.

Damian Wayne/Jon Kent: DamiJon I don't have much of an explinaiton, I just only really see them as this ship. Are there any other Dami ship options that people like?

So, I'm mainly bringing this up because I have no idea what ship options are for Duke and Cass? I know Cass is often shipped with Steph, so should she join that poly relationship or should Bart be slotted in and Steph and Cass have their own thing, maybe with Harper Row? No clue where to start with Duke.

By the end, I'm wondering if I should even be allowed to write fanfiction, but I have thumbs and I know how to type.

I'll share the Grand Tour of all my silly robot collection because I got the tism,

These are my TFP figures from the R.E.D. line. Arcee and Knockout were my first transformers figures ever and I stalked the Hasbro Pulse site for a YEAR waiting on TFP Optimus and Megatron. They're fairly affordable and retailed for $25 each. I bought my Optimus and Megatron from Big Bad Toy Store online so if you want a reliable seller for not a high markup price I totally recommend grabbing them there.

These are some random Optimus's I've gotten over the years, from left to right I have a RID Optimus my brother gave to me, a Flame Toys Furai (I think) G1 Optimus model kit I found in a hobby lobby, a Rise of the Beasts Optimus I snagged while in Ohio, and an Orion Pax figure my dad bought me.

This shelf has the most recent additions, left to right I got the Earthspark Optimus while I was in Florida this past week, the fig pin in a V-Stock, the other Optimus on top of the Funko I ALSO in Florida this past week, the Funko Pop from my brother yesterday, the worlds smalled Optimus from a toy store, and the MLP Optimus on EBay.

I love info dumping about my poor financial decisions TYSM. Other collections I have include some shadow high dolls and my obscene G3 MLP collection but those are adventures for another time. But otherwise I am planning on resin printing that TFP Soundwave model that's going around (waiting on the resin to come in) and I'm cosplaying Optimus for an anime convention I'm going to soon! Which will be the Bishoujo figure's outfit and I'll 3d print his helm to wear so YAY! I go to college this fall and I'm planning on bringing all my Optimuses for my dorm lmao so I'll probably share that adventure when decorating my dorm (also found an Optimus twin bed set 👁️👁️).

Iiiiiiiiiiit’s yappin’ time~! (For me, anyway, lol—)

Reader having the uhhhhhhhhh “ Tism™️” (in quotation marks because they never got diagnosed so nobody knows but sometimes they act in certain ways that make you squint) coupled with the sheer hilarity that is them being very introverted yet somehow a “people magnet” as March likes to call them (there is just something about Reader that draws people to them whether they like it or not 💀).

And this ends up pulling Reader and Aglaea into each other’s orbit for various reasons: Aglaea already had her eye on Reader ever since they showed up in Okhema, not because they were unintentionally causing a stir by asking if anyone has seen Dan Heng and the Trailblazer, but because of other details about their arrival.

First off, their lack of any severe injuries (or any visible injuries, at least). They quite clearly came from the direction of Janusopolis where Nikador’s titankin are roaming; yet, aside from some scrapes and bruises from their own crash-landing, and their sore feet from the very long trek, they don’t seem as wounded and/or frazzled as refugees normally would be, especially compared to the evidently more experienced Trailblazer and Dan Heng.

Tribbie asks about it, and Reader looks confused for a moment. “Titankin? Oh, you mean those moving statues? Ah, they looked like trouble, and I was by myself, so I just snuck past them like a scaredy-cat.” Alright, makes sense.

But there are other things that are more noticeable over time, and others that are somewhat difficult to describe, like Reader’s intelligence, and their occasionally odd way of thinking and sense for “patterns” where most people otherwise see none. They’re also rather sensitive, shying away from the ruckus of large crowds like in the public baths of Marmoreal Palace, the strong fermented scent of ambrosia, and even the bright daylight from the Dawn Device carried by Kephale.

Then there’s Reader reading people (lol) and that “hyper-focusing” of theirs that often strikes whenever, most notably during Aglaea’s “interrogation” of the trailblazing group. Dan Heng and the Trailblazer were busy standing their ground while answering her questions, whereas Reader was less worried and moreso observing Aglaea.

Castorice asks Reader about it later, to which Reader admits that they were a bit worried, but they had a hunch that Aglaea was actually bluffing. Even if she had intended to kill to them, she would have been in no position to do so. She would have been politically shooting herself in the foot by “proving” critics and the Kremnoans right as a dangerous and authoritarian figure, and she would have risked dragging down Castorice along with her as her loyal executioner. The most Aglaea would have been able to do was sentence them to exile. As for why Aglaea felt it necessary to bluff like that, Reader has yet to figure out (leaving poor Castorice utterly baffled).

And then, there are Reader’s more conventional but highly advanced talents in different sciences and fields. Medical, forensics, law, history — you name it, Reader probably has it, most blatantly showcased in a court trial with the priests of Talanton over a murder case. Most people assumed it was a Kremnoan, but Reader proved through collected evidence and lab results that it was actually a nobleman from Okhema trying to pin it on said Kremnoan to both get rid of his rival and further smear Mydei’s people.

Aglaea already pieced it together from surveillance through her golden threads, but watching Reader connect the dots on their own without any supernatural abilities? Oh ho ho, Aglaea is not letting Reader leave her side any time soon. They are simply far too knowledgeable and valuable, useful for any potential incidents when dealing with the Council of Elders.

And, Reader is also pretty cute. Giving the Trailblazer the stink eye when Reader finds them drunk off their ass from too much ambrosia, forcing Reader to carry them back to their shared room; being a nerd with Dan Heng over Amphoreus’s flora, fauna and ancient ruins; letting Phainon and Mydei haul them around like a ragdoll kitten; playing with the chimeras in the Garden of Life; and sinking up to their face in a more secluded and private corner of the baths.

Maybe if Aglaea spends enough time with Reader, she might remember how it feels to be a normal human.

Ohhh this is absolutely delicious. Reader just unintentionally outmaneuvering everyone around them without even trying because their brain is wired for patterns, logic, and hyper-fixation? The perfect contrast to all the high drama and politics of Amphoreus.

Aglaea watching them, waiting for them to slip up, only to slowly realize, Oh no. They actually are that smart. And then she’s hooked. It’s so funny because at first she probably thought, Ah, another pawn I can use—but then she realizes that Reader is an enigma wrapped in a puzzle and she physically cannot let them out of her sight. The golden threads surveillance is already an advantage, but the fact that Reader gets there on their own without divine intervention? That does something to Aglaea.

And I love how Reader is just there for all of this, unaware of the sheer weight of their presence. Being dragged around by Mydei and Phainon like a plush toy, nerding out with Dan Heng about ancient ruins, side-eyeing Trailblazer for their ambrosia-fueled nonsense, and just trying to live their very introverted life while somehow being the center of everything. March would die laughing if she saw them getting politically kidnapped by Aglaea.

Also, the sensory details? The way they struggle with light, noise, and strong scents is so well incorporated. Not in a way that screams look at this trait, but in a way that feels natural, real. Just another part of who they are.

The final line, though. Maybe if Aglaea spends enough time with Reader, she might remember how it feels to be a normal human.

God. That hurts in the best way. Because it’s true. Reader is unintentionally making her feel something beyond duty and control. And she probably doesn’t even realize how much she needs that.

how the fuck do you get yourself to eat food when any amount of preparation feels entirely unreasonable

ive had such low energy the past like week and a half I'm barely eating enough food to get me through the day and def not like whole entire meals like I used to or intend to or sometimes was able to manage.

it especially sucks bc I loveeeee cooking I really do but cleaning up is such a chore it sucks all the joy out of cooking. and even when I know I enjoy cooking, the idea of standing for all that time and using all that energy to make food I will eat in less than ten minutes just. makes it not worth it

even like, making a sandwich. I'm not a huge sandwich person it's not really my jam. I'll eat them but I don't like go OH BOY SANDWICHES. idk. idk

simultaneously my sensory issues mean I typically dislike canned soup with meat/noodles/veg in it and I typically don't like most frozen means if they have meat in it. I just don't like the texture of meat when it's been frozen and microwaved. and when I don't cook, I don't have leftovers to eat for lunch when I come home from work which means I often just eat a little snack during my break.

i just don't know what to do and I don't think getting fast food is a good solution either because I don't have that kind of money to spend on groceries AND THEN ALSO for takeout or whatever

like I don't know what to do. I am so often not even very hungry and I know that's probably at least partially a side effect from my meds but then I just don't think about it and it's just such a decision paralysis meltdown inducing task to try and figure out what I'm going to eat for dinner it's like what even is the point. and I live by myself so there's nobody to share the load of cooking or even deciding what to do
